Cisco WS-C4948 missing qos commands

Hi all,
I've hunted high and low and cannot seem to be able to enable shaping, bandwidth or priority under a class in a policy-map on a Cisco WS-C4948.
All documentation I have read on this switch on the Cisco website says that all these commands are possible.
Example : http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/12.2/50sg/configuration/guide/qos.html#wp1436874
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# policy-map policy1
Switch(config-pmap)# class class1
Switch(config-pmap-c)# shape average 256000
When I try to replicate I get:
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# policy-map policy1
Switch(config-pmap)# class class1
Switch(config-pmap)# ?
Policy-map class configuration commands:
  dbl              Dynamic buffer limiting
exit             Exit from QoS class action configuration mode
  netflow-sampler  NetFlow action
no               Negate or set default values of a command
police           Police traffic matching current class
  service-policy   Configure QoS Service Policy
  set              Set QoS values
trust            Set trust value for the class
  <cr>
Am I missing a global command to enable shaping?
Thanks guys.

  • Which version of IOS is required on Cisco 3640 to have Xconnect command?

    Hi,
I want  to  to configure layer2 circuits on Cisco 3640 , If anybody can let me knowWhich version of IOS is required on Cisco 3640 to have Xconnect command?

    Hi Harold,
I have a home lab having Cisco 3640, Cisco 2610 and Juniper J2320. I want to configure Layer-2 VPN/EoMPLS  between Juniper J2320 and Cisco device.
Could you please guide me on these 2 below mentioned questions.
    1) Does Cisco 2610 supports Layer-2/EoMPLS with any IOS. If so what IOS should I have to support Layer-2/EoMPLS on 2610.
2)Can you please confirm me that Cisco 2801 with IOS c2801-spservicesk9-mz.124-15.T9 will support Layer2/EoMPLS ?
While researching on this I cam to know that only 2801 with IOS c2801-spservicesk9-mz.124-15.T9 can support this , but not sure , need your guidance.
Based on your answer I will buy Cisco router 2801 for my Layer-2/EoMPLS setup.
    Regards
    Ranjeet

Does anyone knows what is the difference between IOS software and the Autonomous IOS software?

  • Unable to add QOS command

    Hi,
I am unable to add the "service-policy output QOS" on a vlan interface on cisco 3925 router.
    (Version 15.0(1r)M13, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1))
Was able to add the command on the vlan interface for our other cisco 3925 router with a different version.
    (Version 15.0(1r)M16, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1))
Though the version is slightly different I don't think that is the reason.
    Any thoughts?

    Rajeevsh,
Please look below. When I apply the policy on the interface it gives a 'Configuration failed!' message.

    Thank you in advance.

The outputs of sh platform commands are not intuitive and one will need a detailed architecture knowledge including code names to decipher them. No current plans on documenting all the commands. Most needed commands are sort of documented in troubleshooting documents. Example, is the following high cpu document

  • Cisco Sync Agent Missing

    Hello Experts,
I am configuring IM&P 10.5 and I need to enable essential services in IM&P Serviceability --> Tools --> Control Center - Feature Services but Cisco Sync Agent is missing. Is there something I need to do to get this activated? I don't see it in Service Activation either. I have attached the snips of the GUI.
    What am I missing?
    Thanks,
    Randy C.

Nevermind, I found it under Control Center - Network Services. Not sure why documentation states that it's in Feature Services.

  • Cisco ACE module missing licence file - no connectivity

    Hi,
We have 2 ACE modules that were delivered without any licenses.
There is no IP connectivity whatsoever to these modules and I'm guessing this is due to the fact there are no licenses installed.
Have tried asking Cisco to no avail - and am not sure if there is an actual problem with them or not.
The VLANs are assigned correctly and I can see inbound ICMP echo from the 6509 that its hosted in, but no outbound packets ever leave the ACE. I've applied a mgmt policy to enable ping/telnet/ssh etc.

    Total arp entries 4
The ARP table for the adjacent switch SVI has a valid MAC upon reboot, but soon after resets to 00.00.00.00.00.00
Problem is that once Cisco eventually send me the license file I have no way of TFTP'ing it to the ACE module.
    Any suggestions/advice?

Thanks for the info - so I should at least be able to connect to a license-less ACE at least, but these modules seem to have a problem.
If the modules are reloaded (from the ACE) or reset (from the Supervisor) they initially have the ARP entry (however still cannot communicate to the attached Supervisor via SVI) which eventually resets.

  • Cisco ASA sla and track commands

Cisco ASA 5520's running 8.2.5 and using sla and track commands
Am I right in thinking that sla and track can be used for any pair of routes using diverse routes between 2 locations, these commands are NOT just restricted to being sued for a default route?
Example: I have 2 MPLS carriers between the 2 sites, the networks advertised by the MPLS carriers would be idnetical
    e.g.Site A has
    route outside 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0 2.2.2.2 1 track 1
    route outside 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0 3.3.3.3 128
There would of course be the track 1 rtr...command and some corresponding sla commands

    Matthew
Am I right in thinking that sla and track can be used for any pair of routes
As far as I know, yes, they don't need to be default routes, it's just that they usually are.
I would have thought if both routes are pointing via the outside interface though the next hop IPs would be in the same subnet ?

  • Cisco UCS PSU issues - CLI commands?

I have a few C200s that are showing one power supoply as "dead" put they are present in the inventory. Currently my power policies are still the default and I am wondering how to tell or see a log or graph of power coming into the PSU.
Also is there a way to modify the power state via CLI?

    Hello Eddie,
What is the version of CIMC ? Do you notice any fault logged for it ? What is the LED status of those PSUs ?
The stats can be viewed via CLI / GUI but it does not provide output over the time in a graph format.
In GUI, PSU information and stats are availabe under
Server > Inventory > Power Supplies
    Server > Power Policies
Please refer following doc for related CLI commands

Anybody else have similar problems? I am at a loss as far as what to do...

Somehow the titlebar became skinned. I just left-clicked the titlebar area, selected options, and unchecked skin the titlebar... Can't believe I spent hours trying to figure that out.

  • Missing image command line utility help

    Hi all,
I can't seem to find the name of the utility (command line) that is very similar to ImageMagick. I know it's there because I used it before. It lets you manipulate images in various ways including resizing, changing the format, the colorspace tetc. I'm prety sure it'll even let you insert text on top of the image and save as xxx. I'm not a total geek ( I wish I was sometimes) so I'm not sure if it's a Darwin or BSD thing.
    Please help.
    Thank You,
    Rich
