COA Requirement for 'Assembly' products

Dear Experts
We are in process of Implementing SAP QM using ECC 6.0 and we have one requirement for our "Toll Manufacturer" (Third Party Producers for us). These toll manufacturers produce chemical products for us and do the Quality Checks and Ship to customer. They have their own tool (non SAP) to monitor/record Production Data and Quality Details. During the implementation of QM in our own production facilities globally, we also migrate these toll manufacturer from the existing QM tool they are using to SAP QM.
The need for COA in our own facilities have been meet, but for toll manufacturing sites, the requirement is as below to address:
These toll manufacturers currently generate COAs on “Assembly” products.  What this means is that the test data can be pulled from multiple products and then combined on the “Assembly” COA.  For example in their current legacy system , toll manufacturers uses “ Assembly ” functionality  to capture results for any Component (say C1) and this result is used in various Assemblies (Finished Goods, say F1 and F2). Now while printing COAs they refer the batch / lot result for the C1 to print in Assemblies (F1 , F2) . Is there any such functionality available in SAP Qm or can you please advise how to address this requirement prefrably using standard SAP system?
Thanks

If you are batch managed and have a batch-where-used history set up in SAP yes.. that functionality is there for COA's.  To create a proper batch-where-used history you have to have used the production/process orders to consume the various components into the each assembled product until the final assembly is done.
In your case, I'm not sure how SAP would know what went into what since you get the final assembly delivered to you and have no assembly information.  I have heard of people adding info to the batch where used table directly but I have never done it.  You would need to create material masters for all the sub-components where the various results might come from.  I think it would be a lot of work to accomplish.
Why not just have the tollers send you the final product COA resutls?

    Hello,
I want to make cash flow for dairy farm, as you may know as the time passes the milk production of the cows gradually decreases. As you can see in the table above I have selected the text colour for every new purchase of cow come in the farm. Till now I have manually put the milk produced per cow for every new herd can somebody please help me to make a formula so I do not have to manually decrease the milk production. I just put the new herd size and total milk production automatically calculated in the last column for the next 5 months. thanks
    Further Explanation of the table:
First purchase of 10 cows give 10 litres/cow milk for 2 months then they decrease it to 5 litre/cow in the third month. Every new addition in the herd will follow the same pattern.
    Apple Numbers 3.5.2.

    Hello
You may use SUMPRODUCT() to calculate the total litres for each month such that -
    ∑ { [number of cows of i'th month] * [liters per cow of i'th month] } : i = 1..N
    E.g., (N = 6)

  • Variant settlement required for selected Production Orders

    Hi Experts
I am using KO88 for individual settlement of Production order
    Using CO88 for collective settlement
Now I need to reverse selected orders.  Is there perhaps a settlement like K08G (int order/PM)
It must be able to take a variant that I will download these Production orders?
    Please help ASAP
    Many thanks
    Dawn

    Dawn-
I know that there is no transaction code that you can use to reverse multiple production orders settlement. But, look at this program "RKO7CO88". This is the settlement program where you can plug in individual order numbers and it also has an option to select reverse settlement. I would test once in your test system before doing it in live system.
    Hope this helps.

The link between production order and sales order can be made by using the KDAUF KDPOS fields of AUFK or AFPO and linking them to VBELN and POSNR of VBAP.

  • Xlc file Required for Oracle Product Installation on AIX 6.1

    Hi All,
I am trying to install Oracle 11g Forms & Reports on AIX 6.1 [TL12].
I have installed JDK and Weblogic Server without any Errors.
When we reach 93% on software Alone installation with 11g Forms & Reports, we got some error

Yes, there is a known issue with AIX OS.
Before starting the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Classic installation on IBM AIX, check for "xlc" availability on the system. It should be present either under /usr/bin/ or under >/usr/vac/bin directory.
If /usr/vac/bin/xlc is present, create the following symlink as root user:
    # ln -s /usr/vac/bin/xlc /usr/local/bin/xlc
If /usr/bin/xlc is present, create the following symlink as root user:
    # ln -s /usr/bin/xlc /usr/local/bin/xlc
Please clean up the failed install and start new install once you follow the above steps and let me know the results. But Unfortunately in our AIX 6.1 Box we dont have any 'XLC', in any of the folder in entire file system.
What is this XLC ?? if that is not available how to create the SYMLINK ?
    Kindly Some one Advice me.

  • Minimum computer system requirements for LabVIEW 7.1

What are the minimum computer system requirements for LabVIEW 7.1?  I have a PC with the following specifications:  1.7 GHz Pentium-4, 512 MB RAM, and a 60 GB hard drive running Windows ME.  I tried installing LabVIEW on the system but kept getting the "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for this product" message.  What's the problem here?

  • SERIAL NUMBERS FOR ASSEMBLY ORDERS

    hI,
I would like to know, how serial numbers for Assembled products be assigned .
If possible, please explain it in details as I'm in different module altogether.
    Regards
    RD

    Hi Durai,
    1. First You need to assign the Serial number profile in Material Master under Plant data2.
    2. System will create serial numbers at the time of production order release.
    3. a) In QM point of view under Inspection type active tick mark in Serial numbers.
    b) Your MIC should be single result recording and Sample size should be 100%.
    C) with r. to above you can record the result as well as stock posting done serial number wise.
    Revert further clarification.

  • Plan Material Requirements for Detached Order Assemblies in ETO

    Hi all,
I need to plan requirements for a material used in engineering-to-order production. It's written in SAP Library ( http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/f6/089036e1e4b603e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm ) that I can plan independent requirements and assign them to the sales order. It's right, but I have two different sales orders and I need to assign a quantity to one and another one to the other: the system assign the whole quantity only to an order apart from the dates I have planned the independent requirements.
    Have anyone a hint?
    Thanks.

  • Uploading Production Requirements For Finished Goods From External System To Run MRP For Components in SAP.

    Hello Production Planning experts,
I'm looking to solve the current business problem:
The company bought a third party software (JD Edwards) to calculate production requirements instead of using SAP's standard Production Planning or a tool like SAP's APO. They run a batch job to query Sales Orders, Deliveries, available stock, stock in transit, etc. from sap and feed/upload it to the third party software so it can calculate the Finished Goods Production Requirements for them. They love the third party software, so replacing it is not an option. Since the third party software is already taking into account Sales Orders, Deliveries, available stock, stock in transit, etc. from SAP, it just outputs a "Finished Goods Production Schedule" by week.
    My questions are:
    1) What's the best way to upload something like that in SAP in the form of Planned Orders or something of that nature?
After i get that schedule in SAP:
    2) Is there any way to calculate components' requirements for that "Finished Goods Production Schedule" alone? The company would like to IGNORE existing stock AND expected-goods-issues in the future (sales orders, deliveries, etc) for Finished Goods ONLY. The components calculations would work the standard MRP way, taking into account existing stock and AND expected-goods-issues in the future (sales orders, deliveries, etc)
I started looking into Master Production Schedule (MPS), but I don't know if that's the right approach since I'm not very familiar with it.
Thanks in Advance! I will gladly reward points for helpful/correct answers.

    Hello Oscar
I suggest you to upload your production plan in the for of "Planned Independent Requirements" using BAPI BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE. Later, MRP will create planned orders to cover the PIRs.
If you don't want to consider the existing stock of the finished product, you should use the planning strategy 11 to create your PIRs. Take a look on the following link for more details about this planning strategy:
Gross Requirements Planning (11) - Demand Management (PP-MP-DEM) - SAP Library
Here you will find the following information:
The make-to-stock strategy gross requirements planning is particularly useful in mass production environments; it is often combined with repetitive manufacturing. This strategy is particularly useful if you need to produce, regardless of whether you have stock or not. For instance, steel or cement producers might want to use this strategy because they cannot shut down production; a blast furnace or a cement factory must continue to produce, even if this means having to produce to stock.
This strategy is also frequently used if there is a Material Requirements Planning system in a legacy system that needs to be linked to an SAP system which serves as a production execution system. The legacy system calculates a specific production plan, which has to be executed, regardless of the stock situation in the SAP system
It looks like this planning strategy is exactly what you are looking for.

    Hi Craig,
    Thanks for your involvement.
The layout that is generated by QC21 was no where meeting the requirement. So layout was configured. Then data was there in big number of verity hence all the detrails was requried to be fatched from Inspection plan itself. Not from MICs (QS21,,as STD report does).
These were the circumstances. And it was propoerly tested and is working fine also.
But recently we had SAP GO LIVE for, two more mfg facility(Plant) and it is showing this bug overhere only.
But any ways thank you all for kind support.

Why should we assign consumption account for valuation class 7920. Where i am doing mistake.

I had faced similar error y'day.. message that say's 'consumption account'  is really misleading.. but, i think system is checking this account assignment upfront while creating the order. basically GBB/AUF assignment is required for 101 of FG/SFG material after production..
so, just assign a p&l account to VC 7920 and create the order it would be good..
