Communication channel creation - Adapter typr missing

Hi
Im trying to create a communication channel between XI and ECC system and also XI and third part application.
I imported the .TPZ file and Im trying to create a communication channel between XI and ECC.I click on create communication channel under the business system ECC.
But after giving the communication channel name im unable to get any adapter type. There are no adapters here. Where should I configure this?
Thanks
Subbu

Hi,
To see the List of all the Adapter in Adapter list while creating the CC in ID, we have to Import the SAP BASIS 7.00 .TPZ file into IR
Steps
1) Download XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_10_00.tpz which is available in a zipped format from the SAP Service Market Place.
2) Unzip the contents and copy the file XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_10_00.tpz (if you are using PI 7.0 or else download the file for your XI version) to
/usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
3) Goto Repository (Design)
4) Choose -> Tools -> Import Design Objects
Now the adapters should get displayed.
Thanks

Replace this parameter in instance profile

  • Communication channel monitoring (adapter engine) in ccms (rz20) available?

    Hi,
we have problems in our xi system (PI 7.0, SPS10). The adapter engine can only be monitored in the communication channel monitoring, available in the runtime workbench!
There sometimes errors disappear. At the moment these errors accumulate!
Is it possible to view these errors/ alerts in the ccms (rz20) monitoring?
So we don't look all the time in the communication channel monitoring!
    Have anybody an idea?

  • Link to Communication Channel and Adapter Monitoring not opening

    Hello All,
we are on PI 7.0. In teh RWB, we are not able to see the Communication Channnel Monitoring as well the Adapter Monitoring It is giving Page cannot be Displayed.
please tell us the way ahead.
    Regards
    Chakra and Somnath

    Hi Somnath,
when the error occurs check the url of the page that cannot be displayed and verify if the hostname is correct.
It could be a problem of not right setting in exchange profile.
Also verify that you have enough authorization, trying to logon with PISUPER user if you can.
    Hope it helps,

  • XI communication channel missing in communication channel monitoring

    Hello partners,
I have a problem with communication channel monitoring.
I have defined a communication channel of Adapter Type = "XI" in the integration directory.
I have also sent messages successfully via this communication channel.
But the communication does not appear in the list of available channels in the selection list of the communication channel monitoring.
Can someone tell me how I can get monitoring info of an "XI" communication channel?

    Hi,
From SP17, you have a new feature
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/46d1a56faf52d3e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
<i>The Runtime Workbench has the following new functions:
&#9679; Component monitoring: Communication channel monitor
In component monitoring, you can use the new communication channel monitor to call information about the status of your communication channels and the corresponding adapters. You can also administrate your communication channels.
Unlike the adapter monitor, the communication channel monitor also provides current runtime information about the communication channels of individual adapters, as long as they are registered for communication channel monitoring.
To monitor adapters that do not provide runtime information to communication channel monitoring, continue to use the adapter monitor.</i>

  • Sender Communication Channel for Integration Scenario IDoc - XI - IDoc?

    Hello All,
One general question. I have to configure an IDoc - XI - IDoc Scenario. For this Scenario I have to configure an Receiver Communication Channel (IDoc Adapter) to the Backend System but what about Sending Communication Channel for the Sending R/3 system.
Is the (IDoc) Communication Channel from Sending system to XI required to configured?
    Many thanks in advanced!
    Jochen

    Hi Jochen,
for sending IDOCs from SAP to XI, sender IDOC adapter is not required. when XI will send the IDOC to a SAP system, then receiver IDOC adapter is needed.
    Thanks,
    Rajeev Gupta

  • Communication Channel in SXI_CACHE but not in RWB

    Hi Gurus,
Created a simple file to file scenario. While testing the scenario, i've got the following error while looking at the SXMB_MONI.
"com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.ConfigException: ConfigException in XI protocol handler. Failed to get a receiver channel from the agreement for the given message. Root cause: com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.impl.exception.CPALookupException: Channel object with Id Channel:ca8f9060afd235e7b77958ffc1bb2096 not available in CPA Cache"
Did an initial investigation and found that the communication channel exist in SXI_CACHE. Proceed to do a Complete Cache Refresh. However, I still get the same error.
Went to RWB to check on the Communication Channel under Adapter Tab and realised that the Communcation Channel created cannot be found in the list. I suspect that might be causing the error and Im really puzzled by the mis-match between SXI_CACHE and RWB. Is there a way to refresh the list of Communcation Channels in RWB.
    Thanks

    Hi Jason,
For this kind of problem i think better restart the XI server then check out .
I hope it would get resolve .

  • Validate source data at communication channel level only....

    Hello Experts
I want to validate the source data just after picking the file i.e at communication channel level. The error file or record has to moved to the archive folder. This is my thought correct me if  i am wrong.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Arjun,
Communication channel only pick up the data, its does not have capability to check the content,if you want to implement this logic for communication channel, writing adapter module is the right option.
You need to write a logic in EJB Module  to validate the content ,its purely depending on Logic how you are going to write in JAVA.
if you are using PI7.1 you can validate your payload before picking up the message.
search in sdn you will find some usefull documents how to write adapter module.

  • Missing adapter "templates" - am not able to create communication channel

    Hi guys!
I need to create communication channel in the Directory, but I can't, because if I want to select channel type (soap, http, ...) I get screen with information: No objects found.
    What could be wrong?
    Thanx a lot for answer!
    Olian

    Olian,
In the Integration Repository, you should have a software component SAP BASIS, which contains the adapter metadata. If this is not there, you should import the software component according to the installation guide:
Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis 6.40 SR1
    1. Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz from <Components DVD>/XI /XI_CONTENT to directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
    2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.
    3. Choose Repository (Design).
    4. Choose &#8594; Tools &#8594; Import Design Objects
    2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz
    5. Import the file.

  • Adapter type is not coming in Communication channel

    Hi all,
I am facing a problem while creating a communication channel as i am not able to see any adapter type and its showing as non editable field  .
i have cretaed my own software component in SLD  am i missing something in SLD configuration ??  because of that  i am not able to see any adapter over there .
    regards,
    praveen

    Praveen,
You need to import SAP BASIS Software Component Version into Integration Repository.
You need to download it from service market place.
    https://websmp205.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=SEARCH&HIDE=&SEARCH_SPAT=X&SEARCH_BPAT=X&SEARCH_CD=X&SEARCH_P=X&SEARCH_PV=X&SEARCH_C=X&SEARCH_CV=X&SEARCH_TA=&SEARCH_V=&HIDE_EXPERT_SEARCH=X&SEARCH_MAX_RESULT=20
In Search Term Enter "SAP BASIS <version>".
Now click on XI CONTENT SAP_BASIS 7.00 -
    > Database independent -
    > SAPBASIS13_0-20000888.ZIP Just save this file on your machine and unzip it.
Now put this in the import directory: \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\repository_server\import\
In IR, TOOLS ---> Import design objects and import it.

  • No Integration Server under Adapter Engine at Communication Channel

    Hello all,
    This is new PI7.0 install.
I configured a file Adapter communication channel for an Integration Scenario.
At field "Adapter Engine" under Parameters tap I am not able to select the Integration Server.
    Pull down menu is empty.
I did sxmb_adm and blog 6077 that got "Integration Server" in file adapter. Later to that file to file scenario worked yesterday. However after java+abap stack complete restart (to cleanup unwanted manually created business system of type WEB AS ABAP) the problem came back today.
I repeated again same blog /people/venugopalarao.immadisetty/blog/2007/03/15/adapter-engine-cannot-be-found-in-integration-directory   sxmb_adm, sldcheck, rz70 all looks good, but no luck.
There is a note from forum to change the content maintenance under
    SLD->Administration->Content Maintenance->Subset (Landscape description)...
Need some pointers on what to change & get the file adapter to work? Thanks.
Another observation is all adapters got empty menu (no Integration Server). However IDOC, HTTP got integration server populated.

    Hi Jochen,
Can you please check following parameters in sxmb_adm on your application server.
Goto TC : sxmb_adm...select Integration Engine configuration n check whether you have maintained global configuration data as
Role of Business System  : Application system
    and Corresponding Integ. Server : http://xi hostname:port/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
Also check if you have created following RFC destinations:
    1. INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI(H)
    2.LCRSAPRFC (TCP/IP)
    3.SAPSLDAPI

  • Communication channel parameters for XI receiver adapter

    Hi
I am implementing a ABAP server proxy - to do this, I am creating a XI adapter type - Receiver communication channel so that messages from XI go to ---> the R3 system wherein the proxy is implemented.
I have seen a weblog with a sample defn of communication channel of this adapter type , but the illustration there is not clear enough.
Based on documentation for this in help.sap.com, I have the following questions :
    1. Do we have to setup a HTTP type destination in the XI box pointing to the R3 system ( on which ABAP proxy is implemented ) . I guess this is the case, since XI needs to find the connection to the R3 box to pass the proxy message to it .
    2. If we do have to setup a HTTP type destination in XI pointing to R3, what is the path prefix and service number field values that need to be given...
I tried putting in /sap/xi/engine as path prefix and 8000 as service with the logon credentials for the R3 system and I get a status code error of 500 ( <b>Pipeline specified in URL attribute not existing</b> ) when I test the SM59 connection in XI...
Any pointers on what am I missing here ??

    Hi Karthik,
    >>1. Do we have to setup a HTTP type destination in the XI box pointing to the R3 system ( on which ABAP proxy is implemented ) . I guess this is the case, since XI needs to find the connection to the R3 box to pass the proxy message to it .
Based on 'addressing type' field in XI adapter you can either specify HTTP destination in communication channel or provide all the required details in the communication channel itself.
    >>2. If we do have to setup a HTTP type destination in XI pointing to R3, what is the path prefix and service number field values that need to be given...
I tried putting in /sap/xi/engine as path prefix and 8000 as service with the logon credentials for the R3 system and I get a status code error of 500 ( Pipeline specified in URL attribute not existing ) when I test the SM59 connection in XI...
    use the URL /sap/xi/engine?type=receiver
Also make sure that your R/3 is set up as a local integration engine for proxy communication..
    Check this..
