Communication Channel Strange Behaviour

Hi,
We are facing a strange behaviour with communication channel monitoring in RWB for JMS Adapter.
I am sending data from IDoc to JMS. Message is processed successfully inside Integration Engine of PI.Message monitoring in RWB shows status successful.But ,if I monitor communication channel in RWB, under cluster node --> cluster node for Channel 'X' shows status green & in short log - I got an message "JMS message processed successfully at 2009-04-17|05:25:06+0100;JMS & XI identifiers are ID :414d515 & 457e345 respectively".
This information is always updated, when i run my interface & shows the latest three enteries there with information provided above in bold.
But if i see the processing details for Cluster node (Where we usually see the processing of message with its Message ID), there is no entry with Time Stamp & message ID & explanation.
Any idea why such a behaviour?

hmmmm..........strange............
just check if you have multiple server nodes and you are selecting the server node with msg processing and then whether in processing details you are seeing your msgs or not............
also check if the msgs are processed just now or are processed some hours ago - if they are processed some hours ago then may be you do not have their processing details available currently but if they are processed just now, then you should be able to see their processing details..........
if the problem remains, then ask your basis guys to restart your XI J2EE engine and see if you then able to get processing details for your new msgs.........

    Hi Gurus,
    We have PI 7.1 installed in a HA environment, which includes  two servers.
    server A: ASCSSCSDBERSAAS
    server B: ERS + PAS
    and we can see a jdbc channel in the communication channel monitoring, and along with the CC there are two cluster ID available,both of which are showing green -- functioning.
    now the issue is the process is actually not started because there is no processing details, and  when we stop the CC and then start, nothing happens, but there are still 2 green nights, seems very strange.
    does any one have such experience and how can make these two nodes work well?

    Probably they use an older version of alsa that doesn't have dmix enabled by default.

  • Windows 8.1 Enterprise Evaluation- Strange behaviour of network adapter

    Hello there are discussions and questions around this community about network adapter dropping connection while system is running. But I have found unique problem with my network adapter driver.
    I have tried to state my problem as clearly as possible. Please ask if any detail is required.
    My network status shows no access on following occasions:
    1. On alternate system wakeups.
        eg:  
    a. System boots up 
    Internet accessible
    no problem
    b. I put system to sleep(first time) and wake it up
    No access to internet !!!
    When I check in network and sharing center not even adapter shows in disabled status.(See video from the link given below).
    c. Without restarting system or without installing network adapter again,  I put system to sleep again and wake it up (2nd time).
    Internet accessible
    d. I put system to sleep for (3rd time) and wakes it up.
    No access to internet!!
    If I put system to sleep again and wake it up definitly I get network access.
    2. If I switch off the modem before windows shutdown completely or in the process of shutdown, next time when I boot system, even though the modem is switched on before booting the system, No internet access tooltip will be shown on network
    sysbol.
    Another strange behaviour is on no internet access status, I start installing adapter, and it loads required files and prompt me to click "next" and "click" install.
    But the thing is before I go to "next" button, I will get network access as shown in this link
    http://youtu.be/sPlXVEiYBeo. Ignore virtualbox adapter. Same behaviour was there when there is no vbox adapter. Same was happening in Windows 8 Pro, but not in windows 7, so that there is no H/W problem I think.

    Firstly, access your network adapter official website to get the proper driver applied to your system.
    Then going to Control Panel > Device Manager, right click your adapter > Properties. Under the Power Management tab, make sure "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" checkbox unchecked.
    If it still persists, try to disable "fast startup" as below steps:
    1.In Control Panel, open the Power Options item.
    2.Click the Choose what the power buttons do link.
    3.Clear the Turn on fast startup (recommended) check box.
    4.Click Save Settings.

  • Content type in SOAP receiver communication channel

    Hello,
    so far I thought that the SOAP receiver adapter always sets the content type to text/xml. However now I found out the following strange thing:
    If you check the option "without SOAP envelope" then the content type is application/xml. Is there any way to influence this as the receiver of the message only accepts text/xml.
    Have you had any similar experience?

    - open SOAP receiver communication channel - module tab
    - add the module "localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean" or AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean"  before the standard SOAP module
    - add the parameter = Transform.ContentType with value = text/xml
    I'm just not sure if you need to add value =  text/xml or "text/xml" so try the second one if the first one will not work

  • JDBC Sender Communication channel stop working

    Hi all,
    I'm facing with a strange problem: I have a db to db scenario (SQL server to Oracle) that has been tested and that was working properly.
    But when we started again our tests after some days, without doing any change, the flow didn't start anymore. The problem is in the sender jdbc communication channel:
    creating it again with a NEW NAME, and changing the configuration the flow starts again. I try to explain the checks that I did:
    - from the runtime workbench the adapter looks ok: green and making polling to the db (obviously without select any record even if we were sure that the select condition was satisfied by some records).
    - I tried to simulate some changes re-activating the communication channel.
    - clear cache
    Nothing was working,the only solution was to re-create the cc with a new name (deleting the old one and creating a new one with the same name is not working as well). But we cannot consider this solution in a production system.
    I have several scenarios like this and this problem happened three times in some months and every time with the jdbc sender from SQL server (never with the sender from Oracle).
    There is someone that has any suggestion?

    Hi Luciana,
    There is nothing that you could do in PI that could help because most of the places where there could be a problem like cache or with adapter statuses you have already looked into . For the sake of a second opinion see what prateek srivastava has to say.
    Basically a n/w connection problem or at the SQL db level.

    In the last two lines we can see that SAP XI do a connection to TIBCO and is getting an unknown error, even in debug (note 856346) I cannot get any information.
    Actually we are running SAP XI 3.0 SP21, but this was working fine in SAP XI 3.0 SP17. We have more than 100 Communication Channels working fine and only is having this strange behavior.
    BTW if we put manually information in TIBCO QUEUE it works fine, but automatically doesn't pick the message.

    What do u see in adapter monitoring tool for JMS adapter?

    Did you follow the document on correlation of JMS messages?
    In communication channel You have to set
    Correlation ID -> XI conversationID
    XI message ID->GUID
    XI Conversation ID -> JMS correlation ID.
    Now in the custom J2EE application you should set
    jmscorrelationid of message before sending in to queue to jms correlation id of message before receiving from the queue.

  • JMS sender communication channel content conversion

    Hi,
    I struck with the content conversion in the JMS Sender communication channel.
    I have configured the communication channel with the filed fixed lengths. (Simple type)
    The field fixed lengths i have given are 10,2,3,11
    The contents in the file 1000000072  230 111
    but, in the input xml after conversion iam getting 100000007 in the first field and 2 in the second field 23 in the third field.
    I have configured the sender communication channel as in the document in SDN.
    Even, i configured several communication channels. I didn't get this strange error any time.
    I have gone through SDN to fix this issue, but i didn't get solution.
    If anyone got rectified this kind of error, please answer your solution to me

    Thanks for all your support. The issue got resolved.
    The issue is due to the file, In the file the special characters are appearing. We are not able to see these characters in the notepad, wordpad, text editor.
    But, these characters are appearing in th syn text editor. So, we removed those characters and processessed the file. Now, it is successfull.

  • Message mapping hangs when selecting communication channel

    Hi Experts,
    I have a strange problem. In message mapping, there is an RFC Lookup. For this RFC lookup, there is one parameter of type communication channel. I want to test this message mapping. So, I go to the Test tab and browse for all available communication channels. When I select a channel and click on Select, ESR hangs. I am not getting why this is happening. Please help me get rid of this problem.

  • Communication channel not listed in RWB

    I'm facing a strange problem.
    Working on File to IDOC scenario. Suddenly my communication channel has stoppped listing in RWB.
    It say 0 channel found. Initially it was not so and I was able to monitor my channel.
    Any help on this ?

  • End of communication channel on creating Materialized view

    I've Oracle Enterprise Edition(ver 9.0.1.1.1) running on Windows Xp Home Edition, When I run the following statement to create a materialized view I got the famous error ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel.And the strange thing is that after this I got disconnected from the database and when I tried to reconnect it showed an Error "Shared memory not available". I was forced to restart my database.

    Like other poster suggested, please post some sample code, query your used to build the view (you can scramble the real table/column name as your wish) and the actual screen capture of the error.
    This will help others to help you. Right now you are only describing symptoms while no one has idea what it really is.

  • MQ 2 FILE scenrio - can not communicate with communication channel

    trying to run MQ 2 file and the file is in the MQ and the communication channel of the sender write me in the RWB this message
    XI inbound processing failed for message at 2008-04-15. JMS and XI identfers for message are ID:.......
    JMS adapter will rollback database and JMS session tranactions.
    does any one know what is the problem with the Queue? why does the sender does not recieve the message and I dont see it in SXMB moni?

  • Stop and Start Communication Channels

    Hi All,
    I am finding some peculiar entries in my application log which has made my scenario go awry.
    I have an AS2 to Proxy scenario. I am receiving the AS2 message successfully and i have to send a synchronous signed MDN back to the sender. I have done the necessary configurations for this and all certificates are loaded and verified.
    The strange part is, once i receive the AS2 message and convert it to XML using content conversion, the communication channel is stopped and again restarted. This messages i could find in application log Log entries. This makes the MDN Asynchronous as the existing HTTPS connection with AS2 sender is lost and so the MDN is not delivered as ASYNC MDN method is not set up.
    I need to know what are the system processes that can start and stop a communication channel. I am sure i have not set up any availability time planning for these comm channels and also, they are scheduled manually!

    I am using Advantco AS2 Adapter, and they say it is one of the system processes and not anything with their AS2 Adapter.
    Thats why this question. Are there any system processes that can start/stop a communication channel? Atleast I have not come across anything like that.

  • Communication Channel Problem while reading from database

    Hi,
    I have a JDBC to IDoc scenario.
    The database here is AS400 and i need to read data from AS400 tables and send it to SAP IDocs.
    The communication channel picks up the data from AS400 based on the query and builds the IDocs.
    Suddenly the channel stops working and it doesnt pick up the data from AS400. When we change the name of the Communication Channel, it again starts picking up the data but again for some period.
    It sounds really strange as this is happening only with AS400 database and not it works perfectly when connecting to an SQL Server database.
    Please help me out in resolving this issue.

    Can you check the Notes 717376 ,990892 and try to implement.
    Some tips:
    This error is caused by some optimization in the IBM VM for AS400 which can be disabled through the JIT compiler settings. The following VM setting -Dos400.run.mode=jitc must be set, according to note 717376. Any other value for this setting, as e.g. jitc_de can cause the described problem
    Also, please share the trace, so that, it would help to identify the problem.
    Also try to change the property in Vis Admin
    "cluster-data" -> "Global server configuration" -> "managers" -> "ApplicationThreadManager" -> "MaxThreadCount" ( like 400)

  • ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel, Please help

    hello Seniors,
    i have strange situation, facing it for the first time.
    i m/s detail form and i am entering data. i successfully saved few records.
    i completed entering one more record and for a reason i left it unsaved.
    after lets say may be a minute or so, i got back to work and then tried to save the unsaved record
    displayed on screen. when i pressed save button i got error;
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    leaving the form as is with this error displayed, i notice that i can very well use the db at server level
    by running other sqls, meaning other resources are functioning. even i tried to open the same application again
    leaving the erroneous form as is, and tried to enter in another form , it communicated well and saved without any errors.
    also there is one more errro along with this, when i query; says "Unable to perform query"
    ORA-01041: internal error. hostdef extension doesn't exist
    and when exit the current form it quits the entire application and kills that particular session,
    but the db is still up and running with no errors.
    The Tnsping <hostname> is responding.
    i want to know while entring on a form, is there any time-out limit between the entry and saving point?
    or any other solution please help. vm thankful.

    i was testing entering into different forms of my application.
    what i notice that this problem persist with just one form i.e. my purchase order header-details form.
    whats happening is, it allows just the first or rather 1 record (incase if are in a query mode and select create record),
    saving the next or IInd record returns this error. God knows why..?
    can you please suggest any debugging technique to catch the theif?
    i have WNFI, POSt-FORM-COMMIT, KEY-COMMIT, PRE-COMMIT, PRE-FORM at form level
    at heade block i have ;
    PRE-INSERT,UPDATE,DELETE, PRE-RECORD,POST-QUERY, KEY-ENTQRY, ON-POPULTE-DET
    at detail blcok i have;
    PRE-INSERT,UPDATE,PRE-RECORD,POST-QUERY,WHEN-REMOVE-RECORD.
    sqlnet.ora, i have at 4 different dir;
    C:\orant\NET80\ADMIN & C:\orant\NET80\ADMIN\SAMPLE AND
    C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN & C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\SAMPLE
    I am not so good with Dba interface, so please suggest me which particular file should refer and
    where & what exactly should i look for..? as the file contains a comrehensive entries.

    ORA-03113: end of on communication channel.

  • Communication channel cannot be deleted

    After deleting the scenario in Integration builder -configuration (Integration Directory) , the communication channel, receiver determination, interface determination ... should also be deleted. But I can still see the communication channel through communication channel monitoring (in RWB)
    so strange. how to delete it

    Try these steps
    1)Active the deleted objects.
    2)Refresh the cache SXI_CACHE and the below urls.
    http://hostname:50000/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
    http://hostname:50000/CPACache/refresh?mode=delta
    3)Refresh the cache objects(Cache connectivity test) in RWB.
    Please do these steps then automatically channels are disappear from RWB communication channel monitoring.
