Component requirement date in subcontracting PO

Hello All,
I have subcontracting PR having delivery date as 26.11.2010 and release date as 17.10.2010 and planned delivery time as 40 days. I change the PR release date to 10.10.2010 and it shows the requirement date for the components as same as 10.10.2010 which is my requirement. But when I convert PR to PO it is showing the component requirement date as 19.09.2010 and release and delivery date same as in PR.
How system is showing requirement date in PO as 19.09.2010? Is some one has any idea?
Mayur Phalak

Hi,
Can you upload screenshots of what you see in ME53N & ME23N with details as seen in component list & the dates to picasaweb or some portal?

    Mayur Phalak

    Hi Mayur
The requirement date for component in subcontract is Delivery date of the item minus planned delivery time -This is what SAP library says. But in your case I see a huge difference. Is your PR manually created or MRP generated?
Have you maintained info record? Is planned delivery time is copied from info record? You can see planned delivery time in PO delivery tab. (find out which value has been copied).
As per SAP standard when you press enter button in PO requirement date is redetermined based on planned delivery time in the PO delivery tab. So try giving Planned delivery time in PR or info record to adjust requirement date
Write to me if you are not clear.

  • Requirement date for 3 level  Component in BOM

Iam having Multilevel  Sales order bom
Header material requirement date and receipt date given by system is 23.04.2009
first level assembly requirement date and receipt date given by system is  is 07.04.2009
    second level assembly is phantom
Third level componant requirement date is 31.03.2009 and receipt date given by system is 19 June 2009 .
Gr proceesing time of 2 days is maintained and no planned delivery time is maintained.
Why Third level componant receipt date given by system is 19 June 2009 ?
Edited by: mayuresh  bhurke on Jan 19, 2009 6:31 PM

    Mayuresh,
It seems the 3rd level component has a long planned delivery time in material master. Hence the system  has pushed the receipt date forward to 19 June 2009  from 31.03.2009. Please check material master time for the 3rd level component.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Off set for component requirement  in PM order

    Dear Experts,
In my PM order,  offset date for component requirement date is working only for the first component. for the next component it is taking basic start date( i e order generated date by default) as the requirement date even though i entered offset for some days.
Experts, please explain me how to come out of this problem.
    Thanks & Best regards,
    Praveen

    Dear Praveen,
    Its working Praveen.
Please check this way: 1st operation>double click operation no.>put component>double click item no. of component>now set offset
2nd operation>double click operation no.>put component>double click item no. of component>now set offset
Now suppose you taking two component for same operation then for the second you can have different offset by clicking item no. of that componet.
Please check and let us know again.

  • Is it possible to change the requirement date of a component?

    Hello Gurus,
When a non stock material is defined as a component of service order a requirement date is automatically determinded (RESBD-BDTER) on the current date. Does someone knows if one can be able to influence this field?
It means that I would like to be able to fill it by myself.
    Kind regards
    Chris

    Hi Paul,
    As you said "
The requirement date is calculated as follows:
    1. The start date (earliest scheduled start) of the operation minus
    2. The goods receipt processing time of the component and minus or plus
    3. The lead time offset for the component in the order
The above values (point 2 and 3) can be adjusted to manipulate the
    delivery date."
I have checked for stock & non stock item, but this calculation is not working for work orders. only i can change the date with offset. i checked material master record and change the GR processing time and planned delivery time but its not working. Do you have any idea why its not working?
    Thanks.

  • Error activating CIF model for subcontractor PO w/component requirements

    Hello CIF experts,
I'm having a problem with the CIF POs and PReqs between ECC and SCM.  If the CIF model is already active, then a subcontractor PO with component requirements is created (the material exists in SCM but the components do not exist in SCM) then the order CIFs successfully to SCM.
However, if the CIF model is deactive, then a subcontractor PO with component requirements is created (the material exists in SCM but the components do not exist in SCM), then when the CIF model is activated, it fails.  The error is "Product x for location y in model z does not exist".
We do not want to send all components to SCM because we do not plan components and do not want to overload SCM with additional data.
Can anyone answer why the order CIFs successfully if the model is active but why it fails when trying to activate the model?
    Much thanks,
    Elizabeth

    Elizabeth
You have mentioned that you get an error that product X - loc Y does not exist in APO. Does this " product X" refer to the parent material or component material ?  If the product X refers to component material then check your PO integration model and make sure the component is not included in the filter criteria by mistake - CFM5 tcode .
I understood your scenario and i believe that you must be able to transfer the parent subcontracting PO successfully to APO . Please delete the error queue and check your master data again in APO. Check if the parent material - location exists in APO and then create the integration model and activate it.
    Thanks

  • Material requirement date...please clarify

    Hello friends,
Whenever we create a SUBCONTRACTING PO for 1 quantity  of finished product....the system proposes a REQUIREMENT DATE for the component item. I am unable to understand what drives the calculation of this requirement date. I mean how is this calculated. Please clarify
    Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi,
The planned delivery time (in calendar days) is deducted from the delivery date, the resulting date is converted to the last workday before it (if necessary) and afterwards the purchasing processing time (in workdays) is deducted. Consequently, the purchasing processing time is used as a float for the provision of components.

  • Material requirment date to be made mandetor and default

    Hi,
We are gernerating PR for stock material through CJ20N. When i m attaching a material component, its requirment date comes from activity date, i don t want that, I want that PR requirment date should be made mandatory and by defalult blank,
    How can i do this?
    Regards,
    Kalpesh

    Kalpesh
When i m attaching a material component, its requirment date comes from activity date
As for as I know, That's the standard behavior of the system.
What you can do is, configure in SPRO that your PR should be triggered only when you release the n/w or project.
And release the n/w only when you really need that material.
Lets wait, what others have to say.
    Good luck

  • Sending New Requirement date to APO before saving the sales order in ECC

    Hi Experts,
i have a requirement where while creation of sales order, when user enters the requirement date,i have to calculate the new requirement date ( adding transit time and other time ) and send it to APO , to bring the ATP result based on this new calculated date.
This new calculated date is getting saved in Z field in VBAP table and also this new requirement date which has to be pass to APO is getting calculated while saving the doucment i.e. at user exit - USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE.
Now, i am not sure, how i should pass this new date to APO , which FM , Badi or BAPI would be used ?
Please help and let me know if i am supposed to detailed it a little more.
    Thanks.

    Hi Bharat,
Normally the new calculated requirement/delivery date will be updated in APO through the CIF.
However you can influence the transfer with enhancement CIFSLS03 (influence sales-order-specific data directly before it is sent to SAP APO available on ECC side).
    Please see the below description.
    Thanks.
    Regards, Marius
In this enhancement, you can transfer customer-order-specific data to SAP
    APO.
The associated component EXIT_SAPLCSLS_002 provides you with tables that are
required for the transfer. In particular, these are:
    Requirements table ET_SL_REQ
    Item table ET_SL_DOC
    Field catalog ET_ATPFIELD
You can use this exit to create or change documents in the ERP system as well
as for the initial data transfer.
The data is transferred to SAP APO after this exit is called.
    Notes
If you use program /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTAREPORT3, you have to add the
corresponding logic to function module EXIT_SAPLCID3_001. For more information,
    see the documentation for
    enhancement CIFCID3.
Programs /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTAREPORT and /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTAREPORT2 also run this
    exit.

  • Requirement date in Md04 to be adjusted

    hello,friends.
                i have a component A* with lot size mb(monthly plan),plan on 01.12.2007 .
i used GR Processing time 5 days.To bring component in previous month i,e, on 26.11.207.
Now ,my problem is that due to mb lot size & GR time, the requirement/receipt date of the component is  01.12.2007 (minus GR time ).the basic finish date is 26.11.2007 .we have monthly planning & if we see in the COOIS report month wise it showing o.k.,(26.11.2007),but when we see in the MD04 the date in the requirement date is 01.12.2007 appearing that should be required 26.11.2007.How this date can be adjusted.
    regards,
    mangesh

    Hi,
I'm kind of looking for a similiar answer, I need MD04 (and subsequent customised reports) to display the 'Rescheduling at GR date' - to produce a simple extract for Procurement showing the 1-1 data rather than 1 (minus GR time) - 1.
The strange part is, this at GR date is available in Exception Message text ..... I wonder why it is not available as a seperate column....?
    Any help appreciated.

  • Missing parts if GR date is past requirement date

why am i getting a missing parts message if the GR date / delivery date of the material is past the requirement date of component in the order? couldn't it be possible to make these components available, for more flexibility in the system?

    Hi!,
Please check your "availability check control" for the combination of your checking group (e.g. '02') and checking rule (e.g. 'PP') on trnx OPJJ.
    There do the following settings:
    1. Incl. Purchase orders: Select
    2. Incl. purchase requisitions: Select
    3. Incl. Planned orders: select' X'
    Or
On OPJK, for your plant and order type combination and avlb check '2' set release material as '1' or '2''. This will help user to release the order even in case of material shortage.
I think this may solve your issue. Please revert back in case of any further issue.

  • Update the Requirements date of Components MDSB-BDTER in Purchase Order

    hi all,
We got a requirement that Requirements date of material components need to be updated for Subcontracting PO's.
This field is displayed only for subcontracting purchase orders.
This is located in ME22N/ME23N in Item detail tab --> material data tab -->  click on Components  and within that the requirements date need to be updated for each and every line item of purchase order.
could any one please suggest me the procedure to update the date.
    Thanks,
    Sujatha.

    Hi sujatha,
    Can u explain more??
    But as per my understanding,
that date is updating automatically while creating subcontracting PO you are not suppose to update it manually.
If any query u have revert back to me.
    Thanks,
    Sanket.

  • Requirement date

    Hello,
With the MRP run and BOM explosion the requrement date for the components are set to the start of the order.
Now I want to change this for one component. The requirement date should be the end of the order.
I tried with the distribition key END in BOM and in production version. But this don't work.
How can I move the requirement date to the order end date?
    Kind regards.

    Dear ,
Compoenet Requirement date through MRP based on the Stock availability , Planned Delivery Time , GR procesing Time .It is independent of Production Timing  .
I think you need this material in the last operation in your production order .How ever , one work around will be , goto co02-Production Order -Operation Overview-Select Operation -Goto Header -Operation -Dispatch  and SAVE .Then select the operation line item  and double click -Select date option -Here Change the Operation Start and End Date as Production Finish date and adjust the time  (Set up /Processing /Tear Down date )  and SAVE .Now check the Component Overview -Slect the Compoenet and Requirement date will be Order Finsih Date .I have tested and working fine .
Or else Did you get any PR for that particular Component .I  think , if MRP generates PR , then you need the PR/PO reciept date should be Production Order Finsiah date , No GR time  .So PR reciept date will be your requirement date in that case .
In that case , you goto-MD4C with Production Order -Execute the report -Select the Item you need to have PRODUCTION FINSIH DATE -Change the PR Delivery date as Production Finsih Date .
    Try and revert
