Components versions

Oracle Database Enterprise Edition version 9.2.0.4.0 on HP-UX 11.22.
I am just starting with this DB and do not know any information about any task performed in it in the past.
The components version shows that the components are of a diferente minor version tha the DB (producto) version.

1) Does this mean that it was migrated only the RDBMS to 9.2.0.4.0 but the components (database) was not really migrated?
2) What problem can I have with this actual situation?
3) What should I do?

Can any 1 please give me detailed information on ABAP + BASIS components and Kernel version from R/3 4.6 to the latest NW systems version.
Few things about which i am clear is(please correct me if i am wrong below)
Initially ABAP ENGINE=ABAP + BASIS
From ECC6 (i.e, from NW) ABAP + BASIS + BI will form ABAP Engine
From NW its ABAP + JAVA

components in youre SAP
Check SM51-->Release notes there you can find information of your kernel

While deleting the query is shows error: errors: components (version A )

when deleting the query from Bex Query designer it shows the below error message but its showing using TC rszdelete.
using the BI AddON 7.X,Support Package 11,Revision 634.

errors: Element 4lsxxxx (version b) do not exist on the database

double the log it showing

hi,
is there a way to learn all oracle components versions?
i have middle infra and business tiers installed and always looking up different places to get versions of components.
is there a way, a script, an sql or a link in EM ie. that one can learn the version of all installed components including for example database, discoverer, app server, portal etc.

If you install a suitable version of the opatch utility from the OTN website, you should be able to get acomplete list of components registered in the Oracle inventory using a command like:

CMS two software components with different version

Hi,
We are going to develop and maintain pararell two software components versions (e.g. SOFTWARE_SAMPLE 1.0 and SOFTWARE_SAMPLE 1.1) and we have got problem during transports (we are not able to create second track in CMS). Is it possible to have two separete tracks for two SWCV? Because I've noticed that we can only create track for one SWC. It looks like that track depends on SWC not SWCV. Am I right or not?

Hebrew versions of photoshop-upgrading from xp to win 7

my GF's daughter is studying photography in high school and they all bought cs3. the UI is in hebrew. shes using xp. the computer is very slow. im upgrading my pc and want to pass my hardware to her and add an ssd and pgrade XP to win 7 pro.
so some questions please
1-cs5 is the first version that is supported on win 7?
2-shes afraid for me to install a newer version because shes nervous it will look different and she wouldnt be able to do homework because the UI/menus/features will be different.
3-from what version does the software take advantage of strong (ish) gpus? im passing my evga gtx 280 to her.
4-is the hebrew version (not text support tool, but the whole UI) a built in feature, or do you specifically have to buy a hebrew version? Im curious if its like win 7 ultimate where all the different language UI are built in and you can change it on the fly
5-what is the ME version? I ask because mine is a regular CS4 version and I dont have an issue to add text to a photo in hebrew.
6-what is the hebrew UI version called?
7-how different is cs3 compared to cs6 or cs5? visually/UI or menus?

The ME versions existed up to CS5, that is correct, but as of CS6 this differentiation was obliterated, though, of course there may be specific issues of which I have no first hand knowledge being a German. In any case, from CS6 all the functions that previously required an ME version are integrated and if installed correctly, the app should appear in those languages as well. Beyond that I can remember a few threads about being not able to type certain characters, but this may merely depend on font avialability and glyph substitution settings. With regards to the UI - the icons' meanings haven't changed, but there are lots of new tools plus the UI has been overhauled and finetuned in pretty much every version in recent years. Whether or not that is confusing is probably down to the individual user. it may be overwhelming at the beginning, but one will get the hang of it eventually.

What is the difference between ojvm and client versions?

Changing the java vm from client to ojvm result in the following error:

Looking for a report to get all managed system components

We are looking for a report to get the support pack level of managed system.
We can get that by going individually on each system entry in SMSY. Is there a standard report or a transaction in solution managed that can list the support pack level of all managed systems ?

Hi,
Another option you have -- provided that you are running EarlyWatch Reports on all of your systems -- would be to create a single Service Level Report.
You would create a variant that includes all of your systems under the Select for Reporting column. Then under the Content from Solution Manager tab select the System Configuration --> Select for Reporting box.
This System Configuration report will provide you will the hardware info (OS version, CPU, memory), database version, SAP software components/version, and the SAP kernel.
The SLR allows you to extract and aggregate segments of your EWAs into a single report.

Re Importing Previous versions of Object / Namespaces in Integration Rep

Hi I have the following scenario.
I have exported my namespace as a tpz file from the XI Dev system. And then I make some changes to some objects in the same namespace . But I want the previous version (previously exported tpz file ) back . So when I try to import the previous tpz file back into the integration repository , I am able to do this activity sucessfully but no changes of the previous version are applied . The current version is still present in the namespace .
And a strange thing is happening . The 2 Object Attributes in the Display Software Components Version Page "Objects are orignal Objects" and "Objects are modifiable" are unchecked now for the SWCV .
But when I exported the previous version they were checked. I am not sure what is happening . Can any one please suggest .

*You want to get back to the previous version.
If you have exported the very first verion creating a .tpz file then follow these few steps :
first export the current namespce.
Delete the current Namespce.
Import the previous version or the very first version of the namespace which you ,, you can trace it by the date&time stamp patched to it.
Activate the new namespace.
*the object are checked as because of the security reason.
there is absolutely no problem in that, these are unchecked so that no one will be able to edit it manually with the proper transport which you can see in production/ quality environment.

RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML shows SC version differs for JAVA and DUAL-Stack xml files

Hi All,
I am using the report/program RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML to copy the stack xml file I used from a previous upgraded system. Systems are identical. However, report shows below..
"Software Component Version KRNL64UC7.20 [01200615320200013056] differs between <System1> and <System2>"
and
Software Component Version SAPJVM6.1 [01200615320200012982] differs between <System1> and <System2>"
However, this is not the case when checked, it's strange that this particular component has the same version between the two systems, but the report says they differs in version.
Please help check how to resolve the issue.
SAP notes mentioned in below KBA were already obsolete. Solution Manager system just upgraded to 7.1 SP11.

Both system have the same patch levels.
Here the situation, SYS1 is where we generated the stack xml file. Afterwards, used that stack file to upgrade SYS1.
Now we built SYS2, ensuring it has the same components version with the un-upgraded version of SYS1, so yes they have same patch number for same components, for this issue, kernel and jvm.
Thus, instead of running MOPZ for SYS2, we used RPT_MOPZ_COPY_STACK_XML to convert the stack file of SYS1 to be used for SYS2.
This is where we encountered below messages, when performing the copy.
"Software Component Version KRNL64UC7.20 [01200615320200013056] differs between <System1> and <System2>"
and
Software Component Version SAPJVM6.1 [01200615320200012982] differs between <System1> and <System2>"
We previously used SOLMAN 7.0 SP23, and the report is working fine there. Then recently, solman was upgraded to 7.1 SP11, and now the report is not working with the above issue.
We would appreciate if you could share actions on how we can fix the issue.

MDM between different versions of SAP

Is it possible to use one MDM between the two system?

Yes, i think you can use MDM for different versions of SAP. As you know Data communicates between R/3 to MDM using PI, so in PI during Configuring Scenario, when you Transfer Integration Scenario from Integration Repository, you have option to use Version Number for Same SAP System during Assign Services.
Also in Integration Builder:Design of PI , you can use Import software components Version which can be transfer from System Landscape Directory (SLD) using Tools from Menu Bar.
This is because you have Registered SAP Sytem in SLD.
Also, In SLD you have Software Catalogs under this Software Component here you have registered software component with Versions for the Same SAP Product.

Check the version of components SAP_ABA and SAP_BASIS shows the netweaver version. In case Netweaver products, version is visible in System- status - sap system data - components version like SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP 7.31, in other products above sw components gives the netweaver version.

Components installed, Products licenses, Features Used

Oracle 11.1.0.7
I am tasked with reporting the products registered and features used inside of my Oracle databases, and then tying that back to the Licensing structure for our site. It can be confusing.
I look at DBA_REGISTRY and can see the components, version, and status of a product.
I look a DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS and can see stats on 'features' used.
I also found a BI report in EM 12c that looks as though it might go against the DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS table, but it's somewhat different.
My licensing structure lists, for example, "Diagnostics Pack".
Is there a way to tie all of this together? I'd like to report "This is the product, this is the feature used and where, and this is the license that it relates to". I can see each of these things individually, but the integration is missing, or at least not apparent to me!
In Oracle 9i and before, we used to install or create a database, and then manually remove products that we didn't need to keep things clean. Somewhere around 10.2 or 11.1, we had problems doing that because Oracle weaves so much together. Products removed rendered other products invalid. We started over again and kept default products. I need to be sure that what we think we are using, what Oracle thinks we are using, and what we are licensed for pan out.
Anyone tackled this before?

I suppose that you have several Oracle Homes on the server. You should verify oraInst.loc file to see if it is pointing to the correct Oracle Inventory. You can look for this file in /etc/oraInst.loc or /var/opt/oracle/oraInst.loc

NW Java version

Hi,
I'm trying to check the engine version with http://<host.fqdn>:port/systeminfo in a SAP NW AS Java 7.4 SR1, but the systeminfo web doesn't exist.

the components version should be giving you relevant information. Look out for J2ee-core component
Alternatively look out for details under http://<fqdn>:<port>/index.html
for getting AS JAVA version

Components scripts for ComboBox

I have have a flash form using some regular input texts and a
couple of components version MX 2004 pro and works fine (Thanks to
Zimmer) but rebuilding the exact same form using a Professional
Version 8 components doesnt work.... it just keep sending
'unDefined' as result to the comboBox and the InputText components.
Does anyone out there know what is the difference and how to fix
this bug???

ignoring the fact that I agree with jrv here - can't see the point compared to alternatives - this consists of basically 3 steps:
Get All users that match your requirements
Get their email address
If it hasn't changed yet, change it
In order to do the first step you need to figure out how to track time in container. Options (of varying quality) that come to mind:
Get info from AD Auditing
Add Information to a field on the user
Create subordinate containers in disabled users, one for each month and year
Once you have the individual steps down, patch it together into a script and schedule it. Here's an
intro guide to scripting in PowerShell, in case you need it.
