Connect a printer to Bt Home Hub usb plug and acess the printer on my mac
Hi,
I have the new BT Home Hub and i connected a printer in the usb socket of the hub.
Does anyone know how i can print with the printer.
The printer is a HP Deskjet Series
And i have a iMac
I have a BT Home Hub 2.0 and usually connect my printer to my hub via a LAN cable. However, a friend has just switched to BT and asked me whether this was possible. If you plug in the printer via USB the Homehub Manager page states that +*No USB device connected*+ and if you look on BT's website they say this:

Connect Time Capsule to BT Home Hub ?
I recently purchased the Time Capsule and want to connect it to my BT Home Hub, using the Airport Utility on the CD that comes with Time Capsule I follow all the on screen prompts about adding it to my existing wireless network. The Time Capsule updates and then a message comes up about it re-starting, after this message closes the Airport Utility shows an error message and says that no Apple wireless device can be found. I have to reset the Time Capsule for it to show up on the list again
My BT Home Hub is WEP protected and I've seen a few posts and forums around the web saying that the Time Capsule is WPA protected. If that was the case why does it give the option for WEP passwords.
Anybody else had this problem or knows of a workaround ? - I don't want to have to change my security settings on my BT Home Hub to WPA/ WPA2 as this will have a knock on issue with other items I use on my wireless network.
Any assistance would be appreciated as I spent 5 hours last night playing around with settings to no avail - All I managed to connect was the Time Capsule to my Mac (just to make sure it was working).

AndrewSilly question, but how should I initially set up the Time Capsule to set it as a secondary router ? by creating a new wireless network or something else - do I need to attached the ethernet cable from my main wireless BT Home Hub for intial set up ? *NOTE: I currently have the Time Capsule attached by wireless to my Mac so therfore cannot access the internet at the same time without changing network.
I'm currently at work so forgive the abbreviated exact terms for the selection process for adding the Time Capsule, should I select the first option from the list when prompted ie "to add or replace device on wireless network..." as oposed to selecting "add device to existing wireless network" ?
I understand about setting it to "bridge" just wondered the best way to get to that point to allow me to do that.
Any further assistance would be very much appreciated

Connection problem Squeezebox radio to home hub 2
I am not able to connect my squeezebox radio via home hub router wirelessly.Password is not accepted other devices are still ok mobiles etc have tried everything i can think of changing channels reseting radio + router i can still connect via ethernet cable. Thanks in advance

Did you set it up correctly?
If you use a different router with ADSL, then you need to make sure that the authentication is set to PPPoA.
You can use a user name of [email protected] and a password of bt

i can't seems to print using my macbook air with hp series printers. When I plug the printer via usb to my system, the printer was recognized and installed. But when i send a doc for printing, it doesn't print all . Any help?

I can't even switch the wifi button to try and connect to my wifi at home but my iPad still uses the wifi just fine.
Thank you, I am trying to last option now. Resetting my network settings and if that still doesn't work ill have to go in to the apple store. Hopefully I won't need a new phone because I'm already at my limit with replacements on my AppleCare even though the issue with the phones 3 out of 4 times wasn't my fault and I can't afford to buy another phone.

I have set up a print queue for HP CP5225dn on Win Server2008 R2 on a shared domain . When I install a print driver on Mac 10.7.2 Lion it sometimes ask for a 'user name & password' for the printer which has not been set by us on the printer.
Second issue I don't know how it reached to the point that I was able to send the job through but as soon as it starts to connect to the printer 'it turns the status to printer paused' or can't connect to the printer.
Printer works well on 'Bonjour' printing so I don't have any doubts on the printer driver. But HP doesn't have the drivers for CP5225dn for Lion 10.7.2.
I have to configure the printer via the queue. Please advise any workarounds.

YezdiThis easy to follow procedure (5 web pages with screen shots) worked for MacBook Pro 10.6.8 via Wireless-N to Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x64 using USB Cable to HP Officejet 7210 All-in-One. This configuration had worked with Windows XP.

I am printing a specific document from a web based application. This document need to be printed in landscape. So I would like to set the default settings for this specific printer to landscape. But for all other printers it should be portrait. But this does not seem to work. The browser picks the settings from the standard/default printer and uses this for all print jobs.

MY HPOfficejet Pro 8600 plus does not print out any e mails. I have added the printer in e-print
I have an 8600 and it will nor print any emails. Either from outlook, Gmail or AOL. I have tried to used it wirelessly or with the usb connection to no avail. It stopped working about 2 weeks ago. It goes to the print preview screen and cycles. I have re installed the software and update the printer. The printer works otherwise. Please help.

After battery flat, usb plug and itunes icon appear and unable to restore
last 2 weeks, my phone didn't work anymore.
my screen turn up with usb plug and itunes icons.
i tried to connect my phone to the computer, itunes was open.
i pushed the offbutton on the top and i pushed the home button for 10 sec.
then, i only pushed the home button.
i got a message from itunes, saying that he found a phone to restore.
i did restore, but at the end: i got following message:
" couldn't be restored, error 28".
i tried to restore my phone in DFU modus (like i read on forums), but it doesn't work.
i sent my phone to the shop where i bought it, they said it is caused by my attempts to upgrade to OS to 3.1. But in fact, i never tried upgraded it. as i said, it happenned after my phone battery flat. they said the solution software will only arrive to Malaysia next year. oh my god! they gotta be kidding me!
so i sent my phone to 3 others independent (not iphone) mobile phone service center and still waiting. now im using back my Dopod 818 phone which luckily i haven't scrap it.
Please help me, i had enough trouble since i bought it where i wanna try the apple technologyIphone has a one year warranty.
You can take it to the official service provider (you can find this on Apple's website), and if the iphone is defective, then they will replace/repair.
Did you buy from Maxis? They appear to be the official provider there. They provide service as well.

Hello I recently downloaded an app on my iphone 4s - Remote mouse- so i can control my laptop that is connected to my tv, it used to work fine and now the connection fails, I downloaded another app and the same problem occurs, its not the firewall and both phone and laptop are conected to the same wifi, i also tried to connect it manually with the ip address and still no connection, can you help??
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.(No data loss) Try it again. -

Since upgrading to Mavericks, my Canon MP980 printer no longer works. I've tried deleting the printer and adding it again. I've downloaded the driver software from Canon. My Mac dropbox tells me "the selected printer software is available from Apple", but when I click to download it, the process ends with my mac saying the software is not currently available from the software update server.
Open Finder and click on Go > Go to Folder. Then type
/Library/Printers/Canon
and press Enter. This will show the BJPrinter and iJScanner folders. You could try moving or trashing this folder and then installing the driver that you downloaded from Canon again.
