Connecting zen microphoto to home ste

Does anyone know of a device to connect the zen microphoto to their home stereo? I found a device to be able to play my zen in my car, but how can I connect it to my stereo? I have an okay amount of music on there, but I am hesitant about adding more if I can only listen to it when I'm on the train on my way to work or riding in the car. My friend has an ipod and she saved my bachelorrette party by hooking up her ipod to my home stereo. Because my sister forgot her music at home and I don't have much. I don't by cd's freguently by buy mp3 tracks. Please help! Does this device even exist?

It is very easy to connect your MP3 player to your stereo. Go to Radio Shack and tell them you would like to have a Y-Splitter Cable for your MP3 player, in order to hook it up to your home stereo. The person you ask will take you right to them. Just buy one for each stereo at whatever lenght you think you may need. I got mine at around six feet long.
You then hook the red and white jacks up to one of your auxiliary terminals on your stereo, and plug the other end into your headphone jack.
Just cut on your stereo and set it to the auxiliary terminal you chose, and then cut your MP3 player on. You will have to tweak the volume, as MP3 players tend to not be as loud as CD's and such. I keep my Zen Micro at around 20, and adjust the stereo volume to the level I want at the time.

I just had a Pioneer deck installed in my car to replace the factory unit. It has a USB connection, but when I connected my player to it, I got a message saying that it would not work. There is an accessory input on the face of the unit; how do I use that with my MP3 player?
to use the player with the usb port you will need to add music files to the removable disc area of the player & when you connect the player to the stereo it must be in removable disk mode for the car stereo to read the files. If the car has a AUX input on the front you can buy a cord like this one? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...duct_id=820445 connect it using the headphone jack on the player. The removable disc mode gives the better sound quality. Can you post a link for your model car stereo?

  • Connecting Zen MicroPhoto to

    Hello everyone,
I have a problem with my Zen MicroPhoto. I cannot connect it to my PC. (it had worked before with another PC). The Creative Media Explorer Software is installed correctly, but when connected via USB cable, it says: your player is not connected. It does however recognize the player as USB mass storage device when setting up a removable HDD on the player. I would (of course) like to put music onto my player, but don't know how. Does anyone have an idea? Maybe the reason is that I only have WinXP (not SP or SP2, which due to a file error I cannot install without clearung my entire HDD)?
    Thanks for your help!!

minimum requirements for the ZMP states WinXP with SP or better
without SP no MTP functionality, without MTP no ZMP player.

  • My PC doesn't 'react' when I connect my Zen Microphoto

    Hello,
I'm Michel van Gelder and I have a problem with my Zen Microphoto. I am going to try to explain my problem in proper english, but english isn't my main language, so please forgive me if i make terrible mistakes or something.
    My problem is:
If I connect my Zen to my PC it says something like, what do you like to do, but when i click on an option it says: Media Device isn't connected. And also when I connect it, a symbol appears in the right corner, next to all the others, but when I try to do something with it's(with right mouse button or something) it disappears. The result is that, with everything i try, the PC says that my mp3 isn't connected. While 've installed all the software properly etc.
I have this MP3 for 2 years now, and I've never had this problem. Until 2 weeks ago, when we had to reinstall our computer. So my question actually was: Is there something wrong with my Zen or with my PC. And, what can I do about it's
I hope someone knows the answers to my questions. Thank you very much
    Michel van Gelder

  • Computer can't connect to Zen MicroPhoto. Strange sou

When I connect my Zen MicroPhoto to my computer's USB port and turn on the Zen Micro Media Explorer, it'ssaid my device is not connected (although it had). And usually?when you connect a USB device, there's a high-pitched beep followed by a low one, but with my Zen it is 3 low beeps consecuti'vely. I've already tried other USB device (my thumbdri've) and it works and sounds normally. Any suggestions?

  • "the device is not connected. Please connect your Zen MicroPhoto to your computer" ?

Hi I have just bought it today, and the installation went thru without any trouble. Then when I connected my mp3 player as the book says I for one cant install it (since there's no driver for it) and when I look in the 'Zen MicroPhoto Media Explorer' it claims that my device is not connected even though my computer has detected it - but can't install it for some reason. Any solutions, suggestions anything?thx in advance

I'm having the same problem with my zen vision m. It worked the first time I plugged it in, but now it doesn't work. The player says it's docked, and the computer says it detects it in the taskbar, but none of the programs recognize it. I've tried WMP, Musicmatch jukebox, the media explorer, and the source organizer but nothing recognizes it. I've restarted the computer, restarted the player, clicked "refresh devices" a hundred times and it still doesn't work. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Zen MicroPhoto first time connection proble

I recieved my new Zen MicroPhoto in the mail yesterday, whereupon I installed the software it came with and hooked it up via USB to charge. The USB connection is quite sensiti've, but I can get the player to charge.
However, when I tried to add some songs, the Zen MicroPhoto Media Explorer (which the user guide tells you to open) says at the top that my player is not connected. The USB is plugged in exactly the same was as though to charge it but it won't be recognized by the Media Explorer. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Is it only possible to add or remove songs when the player is fully charged?
Most of these posts are from people who were able to upload songs initially but are having problems down the road. I saw tips about reinstalling firmware on the player and other things, but as the player is brand new it seems unlikely that it is corrupted. I already tried reinstalling the software it comes with on my computer, just to check.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I installed all of the software on another computer in my house and the player was recognized and I was able to copy some files onto it.
The problem could be with my USB's or the bits of software I omitted when installing it. Right now I'm uninstalling everything and going to reinstall it later this evening. If it doesn't work then, I'll be back. My computer is updated and so is my Windows Media Player.
    The end.

  • Zen Microphoto: connection probl

My new Zen Microphoto was connecting to my winXP SP2 machine just fine (no drivers needed) until today, when i decided I would install creative mediasource (newest version from the website). As soon as the install started up, it told me my player wasn't detected, and then since then, I haven't been able to get either of my computers to recognize the player. I'm now thinking: this is a player problem, right? So I formatted. No go. Then i hit "reload firmware" from the recovery screen and it says something like reload firmware using usb. My computer still says it's an unknown USB device. What am I supposed to do now?

Ouch. Reload firmware was a bad thing to choose as it actually deletes the firmware on the player (Creative REALLY need to rename this option).
Now you need to find a firmware for the player, and make sure it's detected by XP properly to reload. You'll need to use reload OS again to prepare the player.
If you can't find a firmware in the download section, which is entirely possible as the player is very new, you'll need to contact Creative support to get one.

  • To Everyone Whos Zen MicroPhoto Won't connect to their pc,I have Your Solut

To Get Your Computer To Recognize Your Zen MicroPhoto you need to just reinstall your current version of windows media player because it has all of the drivers for mp3 players. This worked for me and should work for everyone else. This won't erase your current library of songs. Once you have it reinstalled your library will be how it was before. Your Welcome once this works.

Well, that doesn't help. I uninstalled every Creative thing--the driver, MediaSource, etc--restarted the computer and installed the .30.03 version;? no joy, same symptoms. I uninstalled that, restarted? my machine and installed the .20.04c version driver, which seems to be the latest WHCL certified one. No change.
I strongly suspect the firmware now. I'm tempted to "Reload OS" diag option, but if the drivers don't work, I'll be stuck with a completely useless device.

  • Zen MicroPhoto connection problem/file transfer prob

My wife had a Zen MicroPhoto player that she used for audiobooks. About a month ago it started having "no device found" problems with the Media Explorer. She bought a new player, and it's no better. The Media Explorer will not install. I tried installing it separately, and the installation hangs, because it cannot find the player. She is using the Organizer now to transfer files, but she much prefers the Explorer. Many of the audiobook discs have the same file names (e.g., Track , Track 2, Track 3,....,etc.). When that happens, with the second and subsequent disks, she gets a message asking whether to replace or skip the duplicate files; the file names are the same, but the disks have different album names. Is there a workaround for this?

I thought Creative's customer support was bad, but this "discussion forum" sucks big time -- not a single reply. Thanks....

  • My Zen MicroPhoto goes straight to Recovery Mode and I dont know what to

Hey, I need help figuring out why does my Zen MicroPhoto goes into recovery mode now by itself. I had difficulties with the same issue with a Zen Micro. My Zen MicroPhoto had issues in the past where it would spontaniously restart and rebuild the library. I would one second listen to music on the bus and sit down slowly, then the music cuts and the zen microphoto resets itself. Can I get some help here?! I really dont want to resort to sending it out for repairs unless its a last resort.

one method i saw and tried worked well but you need to try it at your own risk!!! turn off your microphoto, grab your microphoto with the screen facing you, and either slap your hand against the SIDE of your microphoto, or slap the SIDE of your microphoto against your hand. This method works for me but try it at your own risk. it could damage your hard disk. (its probably already damaged anyways.)and if you really need to turn off your Zen but it wont turn off, i suggest removing the battery.
