Consignment Issue for BOM

Hello All,
In my company they want to do consigment with BOM's and some of the components in the BOM are free item. Poeple implemented here told we can't do this and just created consignment fillup and left the process half way.
example:
Customer A and B belong to same company X. We want to send consignment to Customer A and we send BOM materials. This BOM has some components which are free items which are sold against Customer B (no actual sale or shipment happens against customer B only we create Sales order against Customer B). But finally when the shipment is done we send the product together as one whole  as in the BOM to Customer A.
This scenario worked fine in the client's old system(Alliance), but when SAP was implemented the implementers told consignment is not posssible with BOM and Free item.
so we have close to million stock showing consignment inventory  (coz only consignement fillup created) in our SL and no posting has been done last few months.
Any suggestion will be of GREAT HELP !!

  • Goods Issue for BOM material thru SD route

    Hi Experts,
I have to carry out Goods issue of BOMB material (Main Material + Components) using Sales BOM. Currently I donot find any config setting that allows me to carry out goods issue thru SD route. Currently we are carrying out this transaction using IS-OIL TD route which is a standard functionality.
Can experts guide me how I can carry out this transaction using SD route. What will be the setting required etc.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Casimer.

    Hello Francis,
I did not understand why master of Configurable material is required. It is simple oil bom. The bom is maintained using CS01. The item category is set as required.
Sales order / Delivery gets created. As the main item is not in stock, no sloc is entered for this line item only the valuation type is assigned. For the component, the sloc and the valuation is assigned. After entering these data in the delivery and clicking on Post goods button, system gives error message like not stock for main item etc.
Actually the system shall make material to material transfer in the background from component to main item and issue main item thru mvt 601.
    Can u adivse on this.

  • Consignment issues,delivery,return.plese guide customise

    hi,
    consignment problem and customise.

    Hi,
The consignment process in SAP standard consist of four small processes:
Consignment fill-up (send materials to customer consignment).
Here you have a consignment fill-up order and a consignment fill-up delivery.
Consignment issue (issue materials from customer consignment to the customer).
Here you have a consignment issue order, consignment issue delivery and a consignment issue invoice. (the flow is very similar to a normal OR flow, but the materials are issued from the consignment stock instead of plant stock unrestricted).
Consignment return (return materials from customer ownership to customer consignment).
Here you have a consignment return order, consignment return delivery and a consignment return invoice. (the flow is very similar to a normal RE flow, but the materials are returned to the consignment stock instead of plant stock returns).
Consignment pickup (pickup consignment stock and move it to plant stock).
Here you have a consignment pickup order and a consignment pickup delivery.
Note that in consignment fillup and consignment pickup there are no invoices since there is no change of ownership for the materials.
How to perform a consignment order?
In consignment orders you are allowing the stock to sit in your customer location. Once he informs that he used the stock you will invoice him. If he returns the stock you will accept the stock to take it back.
It is defined in 4 steps.
    1. Consignment fill up:
    Sales document type is KB
    Item category KBN
    shedule line category E1
In this step, you are not invoicing the customer. document flow is sales order -
delivery item category. It will not be relevent for billing and pricing because you are not charging money for these goods in this step.
In schedule line category, you will set movement type 631 & set for availability check and TOR.
    2. Consignment Issue.
Once the customer informed you that he used all the goods or partial goods then you will create consignment issue for used goods.
    Sales document: KE
    Item category: KEN
shedule line category: C0 or C1
Here you are invoicing the customer(because he used the goods). you are assigning the delivery documnt and billing document to the sales document.
In item category, you are setting relevent for billing, pricing, special stock.
In schedule line category, your setting is 633 movement type, relevent for availability check & TOR.
    3. Consignment Return:
Customer found that some goods are damaged or he not able to sold the goods he want to send it back. that you are creating this document.
    Sales document type: KR
    Item category: KRN
    Shedule line category: D0
You will assign delivery document and billing to sales document. you will create return order, return delivery, return billing.
Your setting item category relevent for billing, returns, pricing, special stock.
Your setting schedule line item category: 634 movement type, NO availability NO TOR.
    4. Consignment Pick up:
Even if you create the consignment return the goods are not come to direct to your plant. For that you need to create consignment pick up. here the owner ship is not changing so you do not need to create billing.
Assign retrun delivery to sales document type.
    Sales document: KA
    Item category: KAN
    schedule line category: F0 & F1
Your setting item category relevent for returns. any shedule line category relevent for 632 movement type, MRP, availability check, delivery.
Now you check your plant stock. Stock will increase.
    Regards,
    Abhee.

  • Consignment Issue Invoice

    Dear Friends,
The user has created one sales order (401001) for the consignment issue for the total quantity of 8,888,165 lbs. After raising the invoice, the user found that the invoice has been created only for 626,695 lbs.
In the document flow of the order # 401001 it is found that three different Out bound Delivery has been created though only one line item was entered in the Sales Order as follows:
            OD   >            0080826174/900001   =                      284, 264 Kgs
            OD   >            0080826174/900002   =                    1,810, 478 Kgs
            OD   >            0080826174/900003   =                    1,936, 859 Kgs
In the invoice only only first one has arrived.
However, when we cancelled the invoice and created a new invoice, all three line items as the OD appeared and the quantities also appear as correct.
Now, this type errors came in another 12 users. We are not supposed to cancel averytime and create new inviouce. The client is asking to give some permanent solution.
Please guide me to get some solutions.
    Thanks,
    Jans

The above ODs are automatically created once the
       Consignment Issue order is saved
I feel the process itself is wrong.  I dont know how consignment issue order was created.  Ideally, it should have been with reference to F8 proforma type.  If that is the case, you would be storing some items into warehouse which is treated as "Cust.consignment" and you can the same in MMBE.
Always, the quantity despatched from parent plant and the quantity picked up by customer will vary.  For example, from parent plant, you would have despatched material A for 1000 kgs with movement type 631.  For the same, you would have created consignment issue order also.  Here customer would not have lifted the entire stock.  It would have been in bits and pieces which means, for your one issue order for a given material, there will be en number of issue deliveries with movement type 633 which cannot be created automatically.
Hope you understand what I am trying to convey.
    thanks

  • Consignment issue stock

    hello experts,
There is a situation where in one user has to process a consignment fill up order. let us go by an example, if the consignment fill up is for 100 units. the user has processed the  first consignment issue for 25 units. at the time of the second consignment issue the consignment stock available should show only 75, not the entire 100(100-25), Any popup and userexit to be maintained her for the purpose? what is  the solution here?
    Regards,
    Raj

    Dear Raj
The process would be as follows:-
    1)  Consignment Fillup
    -  Create (KB) Fillup order
    -  Create (LF) Delivery
    -  Create (F8) Proforma
    -  Create Excise Invoice in J1IIN
    2)  Consignment Issue
    -  Create (KE) Issue Order referencing F8 proforma
    -  Create Issue Delivery for the quantity what is moved from warehouse
    -  Create commercial (F2) invoice
:  you need to maintain the excise invoice number range for exports in SNRO for Object : J_1IEXCEXP
    thanks

  • Static credit check: credit limit exceeded for consignment issue delivery

    Hi,
We are encountering a credit limit exceeded error in delivery creation for a consignment issue.
In SPRO config "Credit limit check for order types", no credit limit check is assigned to the order type. However, there is one assigned for the delivery type. Also, for CCAr/Risk cat./CG combination in OVA8 (Auto Credit Block Delivery), static credit check has been activated with error message reaction. Open orders and open deliveries were also activated. Customer exceeded credit exposure but user cannot release the order in any VKMx transactions as no credit limit check is assigned to the order type.
Given that this is the current setup, and the following conditions:
    1. Credit limit for the customer cannot be increased
    2. Oldest open item cannot be cleared just yet
Is there any way that we can proceed with delivery creation for this customer? The other order types have credit limit check so credit management team was able to release them. However, we are unsure on how to proceed with this consignment order. Kindly advise and thank you in advance for your help.

We are encountering a credit limit exceeded error in delivery creation for a consignment issue.
but user cannot release the order in any VKMx transactions as no credit limit check is assigned to the order type.
Looks contradictory and it may need to run report RVKRED77 to reorganization of open credit values. Try to run the report in test system and then run in production system. After running the report, the use must be able to release in VKM* transaction.

  • Vendor Consignment Price Issue for short term Price Contracts with Vendors

Hi Gurus, We are using Consignment Process successfully but very recently we faced a problem on some of our vendors who change the price every quarter.e.g. when the Buyer cuts the Consignment PO for 1000 pieces and receive it in K stock for 10$ the price is valid for 3 months in the Info record  when we start moving from K stock to Company stock after 3 months the price is changing in info record and consumption happening after 3 Months  is causing issues as you all know there is NO PO history tracking for Consignment PO's except 101k movement.we could manually do the jugglery by NOT changing the Info record untill the full 1000 qty of the PO is received but the problem is if there are multiple PO's and if the consumption is pulling stock from 2 different PO's then we have issues
E.g. PO1 1000 Qty Info rec  validity May 1st to july 31st 10$ per piece
PO2  500   Qty Info Rec Validity Aug 1st to Oct 31st 12$ per piece
First consumption 411k for 800 Pcs on june 25th happens with 10 $
Second consumption 411k for 600 Pcs happen on Sep10th will happen with 12$ but the vendor wants 200 out of 600 with 10$ and 400 with 12$ how do we handle this situation without manually changing the info record please advise
As Consumption and settlement happens in MRKO which is totally unlinked with the PO. Is there a way we can handle the situation. There could be multiple consignment PO's which bring stock in Consignment

    Hi DP,
As SAP doesn't Support Delivery cost settlement with the consignment process to seprate G/L ( Similar to accruals ), you need to go for Z development which while posting MRKO will be executed with refernce to PO & Issue Document Posting the freight Value to Appropriate fright G/L .

  • Error of Excise Invoice in Consignment Issue billing document

The usual process of billing from excisable unit (with CIN) is as follows:
    1. VA01 >2.  VL01N(PGI)> 3. VF01 (Proforma Inv) --> 4. J1IIN (Excise Inv) --> 5. VF01 (Comm Inv)
While in non-Excisable unit the 3 & 4 steps are not required.
In Consignment Fill-up- The process is only upto Generation of Excise Invoice and order processing is complete. Excise Invoice in this case works as Excise Gate pass- just to let the material out of factory gates and no sales is booked.
Further, In consignment issue- the process should be like non-exciseable unit i.e. 1, 2 & 5 step only. While we are getting the error is coming at step no 5 (Excise Invoice no is missing !)
One more thing I want to ask:
During Consignment fill-up, movement type 631 is used - which removes the stock from storage location and put it in 'Consignment stock in the same plant. Now since the plant is declared as excisabel, probably it is asking for 'Excise invoice'. It means, there is one more step of material movement, before 'Issue' order- what could be it ??
    Please help.
    Praveen Singh

The correct process in consignment fillup process is
    a)  Create fillup Order (order type KB)
    b)  Create fillup Delivery  (movement type 631)
    c)  Create F8 proforma
    d)  Create Excise Invoice referencing Proforma
    a)  Create Consignment Issue Order (Order type KE)
    b)  Create Issue Delivery (movement type 633)
    c)  Create Commercial Invoice (billing type F2)
In the second stage only, you need to create commercial invoice and not  in the first stage as indicated by you.
    thanks

  • Error While Updating Issue For Production

    Hi,
When i am trying to update an UDF in issue for production i am getting the following error message.
Item is Not a Component to the Referenced work order[Goods Issue - Object Type] Message 3560 -5

    Dear Manikandan K,
Regarding the message we can tell you that the error message
"Item is not a component of the referenced Work Order" usually appears
because there is a case sensitive problem between the item code given
in the BOM and the item code given in the item master data.
Please check if the item codes of the BOM are exactly the same as the
codes given in the item master data. There should not be any differences
between spelling of the codes (for example item code in the item master
data is with capital letters X00014447 while the item code in the BOM
    is with normal letters x00014447).
In case you find item with this issue please correct its item code
in the BOM manually so it will be exactly identical with the code given
    in the item master data.

  • Tax Departure Country in Consignment Issue

    Hi,
I have read lots of thread regarding this issue but all of them ended with suggestion related to plants abroad which in our case will not resolve the issue.
Let me again put the question and hopefully somebody will answer to this.
We are doing an implementation for one of our UK client.
The issue is regarding consignment fill up for country in Europe.
I understand that we need to file consignment fill up in the INTRASTAT reporting. This can be achieved by using billing type WIA with 100% discount.
but the issue over here is, when we create consignment issue, the tax departure country is getting determined as customer country because of which the tax is not getting determined from condition records.
We are getting an error of mandatory condition type MWST required which is correct as we are getting a value of tax.
Can anybody help me over here?
I don't think it is an issue of plants abroad.

I am already stating the reason.
MWST has 3 standard condition tables.
    1. Departure and Destination country..
In our case --> Departure Country is GB and Destination country is DE
But in case of consignment issue it fetching departure country as DE and destination country as DE
    2. Domestic Tax -->
Departure tax will be on GB country
    3. Export Tax
Country will be GB and export country will be DE.
but in all the cases departure country is coming as DE and not GB.

  • Free good for bom material

hai i am new to sap , can any one tell me how to post free good for bom material !!

    Hi,
Being a new member, one quick advice would be to search SDN and related forums before posting a new question, since this issue has been discussed many times.
To answer your question, Free Goods does not support BOM.

  • Regarding Consignment Issue

    Hi Friends,
I have a question regarding consignment issue. During the consignment fill up I have entered a material (machine) that is configurable and also assigned a serial number to it. Now when I try to create an order (consignment issue) and enter the corresponding serial number tied up to the machine in Consignment fillup, the system is taking just the higher level item of the BOM. The BOM is not getting exploded in the order. Can anyone please suggest where I can control. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Sunny.

    Hi
I don't think it will b exploded in Consignment Issue as it has already exploded in Consignment fill up. Consignment issue means what selling the stock which is at consignee's place so it dose not have to b exploded. u carr on like that and see what is the flow if it is ok then go on otherwise u let me know the problem.
    Thanks

  • Consignment Stock for Inventory Management

    Posting as a new thread...
I have installed and loaded the Inventory Management Cube 0IC_03 in our development and quality systems.  During testing we have found just one problem with Consignment Stock.  The Stock Initialization (2LIS_03_BX) does not bring in an initial quantity (BWMNG) for any material flagged as a Consignment Stock (Stock Category = K, field BSTTYP).
My question - is there a good reason for this or is this a problem?  It causes a problem with reporting, because balances are now off.  Do I need to change how reporting is done for Consignment?
It seems to me that the BX extractor should be picking up the initial balance.  I am trying to debug the code, but am getting a headache!
    Any help would be appreciated!
Yes, I have reviewed the "How To..." documentation, but don't see anything regarding consignment stock.
We are at BW 3.0b Support Pack 25.
    Lisa.

Thanks, Ken.   I don't know that this note actually helped me, but I did another review of OSS notes.  We have applied 3 of them (726485, 756151, 762219) and our consignment issue has been resolved.
Thanks for pointing me back in the right direction!
    Lisa.
