    Hi Padraig Manson
    Would like to ask you whether you have:
    1. Setup a campaign element to collect the respondents?
    2. Setup a campaign element to collect non respondents?
    If yes, then the target group that is collected in the point number 2 above will serve the purpose.

  • Employees act on behalf of customers without contact person relationship?

    Hello - we have internal customer care employees that need to be able to support our ecommerce customers in WebChannel...is there a way for my employees to be able to do this without establishing a "Is Contact Person For" relationship between my employees and our ecommerce customers?
    We are running into problems with the volume of relationships required and, in particular, middleware/ECC seems very inefficient at processing this relationship data to the point of shutting down BP middleware traffic.
    Thank you - Matt

    Hi Matt,
    Internal employees can order/access B2B application without being a relationship maintained. This can be done through Business on Behalf application. this application can be accessed at htp://server:port/b2b_2/init.do. Once you have configured this application any employee can login into this application and order on behalf of customers. Once the order is created it will not create a relation ship with the employee.

  • English-Only? Lenovo forces English-Only on Customers. No response from Lenovo's Chinese CEO.

    Below is a letter I mailed to the President of Lenovo who has, thus far, failed to respond to my request.  Considering my loyalty to Lenovo all of these years, I am appalled at the service I have received in my search for a multilingual computer from an international company.  Lenovo forces defective, English-only products on its American consumers, and, ironically enough, Lenovo’s President’s first language is not English.  Of all who might be sympathetic to my plight I would think Mr. Yuanqing would be most understanding.  Unfortunately, this is not the case; I ask both Lenovo employees and customers alike whether a company who can neither provide answers or results is worth working for or buying from.
    URGENT
    February 6, 2014
    Yang Yuanqing
    Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
    Lenovo Company
    1009 Think Place
    Morrisville, NC 27560
    Re:       Is Lenovo an English-only company?
    Dear Mr. Yuanqing:
    (1) I have been a loyal and faithful user of IBM ThinkPads and Lenovos from 1998 on.  I am a Cultural Anthropologist with active research projects in Israel and Egypt.  I often travel to Europe to give lectures and attend conferences.  I find Lenovos durable and reliable in remote areas.  Twice, I was typing field notes as I rode my camel on the cliffs falling to the Aqaba Gulf, Egypt, in areas inaccessible to any car transport.  My camel became frightened, shook, and my Lenovo flew from my lap high on the saddle to the rocks.  It incurred no damage.
    (2) On December 18, 2013, I called your Order Department to order a Lenovo laptop.  After informing the sales representative that I needed a computer with a Windows 7 Operating System that will work in English, Hebrew and Arabic, I was put in touch with Mr. AS.  I also stated that the computer must have an international warranty and that the model be serviceable in Israel.  The Israel service center has unmatched quality.  He was introduced to me as the multi-lingual expert of the Sales Team.  I emailed Mr. S my computer needs.  Mr. S suggested that I purchase a ThinkPad T440s Ultrabook Laptop.  He promised me that the computer would have working capabilities in several languages.  Enclosed please find as Exhibit 1 my order confirmation.
    (3) Although Windows 8 Operating System was available on December 18, 2013, I insisted on having a Windows 7 Operating System.  Windows 8 Operating System has numerous consumer grievances, and Lenovo-Israel cautioned me against using it.  I also needed an XP mode since my files from my Lenovo X301 #2776 are in Windows XP.  Further, Hewlett Packard, for example, has stopped marketing Windows 8 in Western Europe.  Windows 8 is a defective product.
    (4) When I ordered the laptop I was under strenuous deadlines regarding my forthcoming book’s production.  It was and still is a miracle that my Lenovo X301 #2776 functions.  It has only two gigabits hard-drive space available, is very slow, and therefore prone to crashes.
    (5) The ThinkPad T440s arrived on January 6, 2014, and on January 10, 2014, I took it to the owner and chief technician of Mac Berkeley Computer Shop, rated number one in the Bay Area consumer reports.  Similar to previous installations, I instructed him to first get the operating system to work in Hebrew, Arabic, and English, before proceeding in anything else.  Only then does it make sense to install other programs in Hebrew, Arabic or English or to migrate my English-Arabic-Hebrew data from my Lenovo X301.
    (6) Mr. WL called me immediately thereafter.  He said that the ThinkPad T440s has an English-only operating system.  To have other language capabilities, he said, I would need to purchase an upgrade from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 7 Ultimate, costing an additional $250.  All of my previous ThinkPads were not monolingual.  For $25 additional dollars, the technician would buy and install the Hebrew and Arabic language packs without needing to replace the whole operating system.
    (7) So, I called Lenovo customer service and technical support to suffer through a gauntlet of rude service people and technicians.  They all said that if one buys a Lenovo laptop in the U.S., it is an English-only machine because Americans speak, read and write in English only.  I was diligent, and finally reached Mr. EG, a sales supervisor.  He was touched to hear my Lenovo-Camel story.  He asked whether I would be willing to provide Lenovo with a photo of me and my camel and the story.  Gladly, I agreed.
    (8) Mr. G informed me that should Mr. WL upgrade the computer from a Windows 7 Pro to a Windows 7 Ultimate (with me paying the $250), my warranty would be void.  He agreed it is odd that an international company such as Lenovo forces monolingualism on its U.S. consumers.  He advised me to return the ThinkPad T440s.  He promised that Lenovo would build me the same kind of laptop, but install it with Windows 7 Ultimate.  He then disappeared and did not return phone calls or emails.
    (9) I returned the ThinkPad T440s Lenovo on January 15, 2014.  I was certain that Mr. G would act on his promise and that I would receive a T440s with Windows 7 Ultimate.  I provided Mr. G via email with a scan of the UPS package drop-off receipt.  I alerted him yet again to my X301 dire situation and to Mr. S’s false information – both causing my serious work deadlines.  Mr. G said that Lenovo would not provide me with a new ThinkPad T440s with Windows 7 Ultimate even after I provide proof that I have returned the computer.  Mr. G was adamant that Lenovo would only be able to place an order to build the appropriate multi-lingual capacity computer after my return of order #4243394538 is processed.  I find this a baffling business practice given the history of my order.  Only on January 26, 2014, did the credit show up in my account.
    (10) On January 16, 2014, I received a phone call from J E, who presented herself as Mr. G’s superior.  Ms. E stated that the multilingual computer Lenovo will be able to build must have a Windows 8 Ultimate.  She said that Lenovo stopped offering Windows 7 as of late December 2013.  She apologized for Mr. G’s disinformation.  We corresponded on this issue and I asked her if there would be an option to downgrade the Windows 8 Ultimate, to Windows 7 Ultimate – a common practice given the many dysfunctions of Windows 8.  She said that downgrade to Windows 7 Operating System will result in an English-only operating system.
    (11) Ms. JE seems to never answer her phone.  Like Mr. G, Ms. E failed to provide me with any explanation as to why an international company such as Lenovo that functions in so many countries and with many languages, forces an English-only policy upon its U.S. consumers.  Anywhere else in the world, a Lenovo consumer receives the local language in addition to English.  In Switzerland for example, Lenovo computers come with a default German, French, Italian and English.
    (12) In the meanwhile, I have been in touch with the Lenovo-Israel CEO office.  I was informed that I should not have returned the computer.  Rather, I should have hopped on a plane and gotten the language issue fixed in Israel for no extra charge.  But I was not in a position to retrieve it back, buy an expensive last minute ticket and fly transatlantic.  I was and still am overburdened with on-campus work. Lenovo-Israel suggested that I call Hasidic Jewish computer stores in New York City, and ask them how they solve the problem.  I was referred to B&H Photography and Video, and to J&R Computer World, as experts in Hebrew-English Lenovos.  I learned the following: their laptops come with Windows 7.  They upgrade it to Windows 7 Ultimate.  To circumvent the voided warranty issue, they sell their customers extended warranties through private insurance companies.  Unfortunately, they didn’t have any ThinkPad T440s models in stock with the configuration I had ordered from you on December 18, 2013.  Lenovo-Israel further stated that, given Israel’s stringent customs and abundant shipping corruption on electronics, it would be unsafe to purchase a Hebrew-Arabic-English computer through them and have it shipped to me in the U.S.
    (13) In summary, I need a ThinkPad 440s configured as the one originally purchased on December 18, 2013 with Hebrew, English and Arabic languages.  I refuse to use Windows 8.  It is a defective product.  I fail to understand why upgrading the operation from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 7 Ultimate to facilitate a non-English only computer system – nullifies the warranty.  I request that you ship me the ThinkPad 440s I originally ordered, with Hebrew, English, and Arabic options.  This matter is now of ultimate urgency.  Please respond to me at your earliest convenience.

  • Creating Cross Company Code Vendors/Customers.

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to understand how to create cross company code Vendors and Customers.  I've already established the link with configuring OBYA.  What I'm not clear is on which company code I should be creating the vendor and customer.
    We have two company codes, 2100 & 0980.  CC 2100 has the central bank tha pays invoices for CC 0980.  I have two issues.
    1. What kind of configuration is needed to accept incoming payments into CC 2100 House banks and lockboxes?
    2. For intercompany activity between 2100 & 0980 how are the vendor and customer master records set up?  I know there needs to be a vendor on the customer master and a customer on the vendor master.
    So for 0980 acting like a vendor for 2100 I'm assuming the vendor number for 0980 is set up as a 2100 vendor.
    The same is true when acting as a customer.  The difference being is that this vendor entered into a field on the customer master and the customer number is entered on a field in the vendor master.
    I'm missing how the Vendor record, if created on Company Code 2100 gets linked to Company Code 0980.

    For SAP to 'know' that a particular vendor / customer master records represents a specific company code, all these needs to be linked to the same 'company'.
    Companies are maintained in T880 (IMG : enterprise structure -> definition -> Fin Acctg -> Define Company
    Company code is linked to a company in the cocode config. IMG enterprise structure -> Assignment -> Fin Acctg -> Assign comp. code to company
    And finally, the Trading Partner field in the Customer/vendor master is where you assign the company to the cust/vendor.
    This setup will eventually allow you to consolidate interco A/R, A/P, etc.. if you need to but is not necessary for the interco process to post.(although you'd want to have it rght from the get go)

  • Payments for customers

    We have a business requirement, where we act as outsourcing place, where we  pay vendors in different currencies at the directions of our customers, once we received the cash from the customers. How can this be confgured.

    Hi Sheena,
    I can not give you the solution but can give you a direction. Sit with your ABAPer and develop a Validation User exit. This may not be a small task since you have to design the process based on which succesful validation can be built. Gather detailed requirements from business.
    For instance,
    When you make payment to your vendor, what check you expect system to perform.

  • NOKIA vs CUSTOMERS; false waranty for worst produc...

    I was experienced many problems with Nokia products. It is about 6131 and E50 phones. But as I see here, there are no phone modell not to have problems. But the question is: how do you work it out with nokia waranty? Because this was very disappointing experience for me and I would strongly recomend another brand which happen to be cheaper than Nokia (Samsung, LG, Motorola, etc) but at least same good as nokia (if not better) and with a trustworthy warranty. Another solution is to buy, of course, at a half of price from black market where you do not have any warranty, but it's the half of price! That kind of "dealers" can be often more trustworthy than an official retailer (Germanos in my country, eg). How about Nokia Club membership? Does it help you in some way? Or it is another deceiving marketing instrument of Nokia. Because that way was for me? If you don't experienced the same problems with Nokia that means another way to do business in certains country, and that is also not a proud thing for NOKIA. Is it a special department where you can reclame a misconduct or a fraud within the Nokia Corporation? Please write down your oppinions beacuse it is the only way to change something. It is important for Nokia also to realise the fact that if today sale a phone, tomorow certainly would not because the client's disfatisfaction.

    Well, I perfectly understood that this is a SUPPORT (not need to yell) site, but by the time I have posted the message I thought the best way to support customers is to let them know the truth. I went to a NOKIA retailer here (Germanos) for a problem with charger (up to an year almost all of them got the cable interrupted from device's emergence) and the guy behind the desk told me that this is not covered by warranty. Anyway I insisted to receive my charger and to have an official answer from them only to justify at the Consumer Protection Office that the Nokia hasn't kept the warranty. Another weird thing was the fact that Germanos didn't received my charger without the phone which was in good condition and the claim was not for the phone, clearly. Anyway it seems to be another abuse to deprive a person from his good, but, anyway... Fortunately, they changed the charger for free, so all unpleasant things are in the past by now. Anyway, it's advisable to know from the first place the warranty conditions, how long takes the process and how it would be done. In western countries these things are very clearly specified and even Nokia is covered by tons of papers, but I find a vertical attitude and a good way to lead your business acting the same in the countries where legislation is not alikely severe also, because the first aim is to have satisfied customers. A satisfied customer is a constant buyer. Maybe the eastern managers of Nokia should be taught such things and act accordingly. Otherwise we turn to black market an unauthorised imports. And that would be a pitty. Anyway I understand that the same problems experiences a serbian. And if we let the topic open will come another eastern people to tell you the same thing. Hope to have all the maturity to understand that this is a matter and Nokia should take some measures. Because the impact is also different: in a eastern country the income is lower and the price is the same and it's definitely not the same impact like for western people who easly buy/replace a Nokia. The best wishes!

  • Linking one Contact Preson to many customers for e-Commerce for ERP

    Hi,
    On the e-Commerce for ERP I have a need of linking one Contact Person with Many Customers.
    The requirement is that one user will be given access to e-Commerce Application, this user should be allowed to create orders for multiple SoldTos. So as soon as the contact person will logon s/he will be asked to choose the SoldTo and so will be able to create orders for that SoldTos. s/he can then logoff and relogin to choose 2nd soldTo to create order for this one.
    But now I am not able to find a way to link a contact person to other customers. Am not sure if above will be possible or not. Can you guide me how that can be done.
    Thanks

    Hello Roopali,
    Use Business-On_Behalf scenario for external customers. - When a user (for example, agent) can act on behalf of several customers, the system cannot automatically determine the customer from the user ID. In order for the agent to be able to choose the customer for whom he or she is currently working in the Web shop, special settings are required.
    Requires setting external sales partners  by [Configuring Relationship Between Sales Partner and Customer|http://help.sap.com/SCENARIOS_BUS2005/helpdata/EN/8e/5c2c42184a5333e10000000a155106/content.htm]
    When successfully configured, the sales partner can select the customer for whom he or she is currently working on the tab page Customers. The sales partner can also switch the customer on this tab page without leaving the Web shop.

  • Brand new Windows 8.1 labtop suddenly acts unpredictably

     Hi. Welcome to the wacky world of Windows *.1 I'm a new user too. I have spent the last three months around the clock fighting viruses and malware and such and been on the phone with tech support 24/7. Beware of false tech support they will not come
    to you. My computer was crashing then a popup said your financial and personal info has been compromised call this number. I panicked cuz my new computer was crashing and called the number. they took me to a website to prove that they were a third party company
    who works with Microsoft. They called themselves support buddy which is a app that MS techs use to get control of your computer to help you mfix it. I asked them why they needed 3rd party help. They said they have such an overflow of calls they need help.
    so I gave him control of my comp. he fixed it from crashing and talked me into a years worth of support for $249.00. Two days later every time I opened my computer it took pictures of me (like 50 of them ) and sent them all around the world. I finally got
    the real Microsoft support who was much less expensive but he told me I had been phished and that only Microsoft deals with their customers. anyway, to help you....move your cursor to the right side of the page till the green section opens and go to settings,
    then go to pc settings. there you will find a section dealing with your cursor and you can set how long the lag time is when you move it. Be careful with these settings. I over did it and set mine too far then the keyboard wouldn't work. had to plug in an
    external one to fix it. it was the settings for how long you hold down the keys before they retype another letter or something like that. youll figure it out just adjust things slowly and see what it does.
    sounds like you already got a virus or malware I would call tech support because none of my virus protection caught anything. It will get worse very quickly over time if you have one. I just read that when you set up your computer you are not supposed to
    log on as administrator because that lets in the really sneaky viruses and Trojans that make your computer act crazy for no reason. the number I called was 1-800-936-5700.I got the number off the Microsoft tech support chat room so I think theyre ok. They
    cost $149.00 for a month of support and another$45 for a whole year.  not too bad considering the trouble your going to have. One place tried to charge $549.00 for the first month. Be careful, these guys really know what theyre doing and really seem like
    they're the real deal so ask lots of questions!!!! How do I know your from Microsoft? or what company did you say your from? remember MS doesn't use third party companies for tech support, no matter what they do to try to convince you that they do. One guy
    took me to a website that had their name listed as a microsoftaffiliate and everything and my tech guy said no that's all a scam.  Good luck. and read all you can. Im ready to send this back and switch to a mack. I had to close my bank account and everything.Now
    they call me several times a day. Its a nightmare. I cant decide what group I'm supposed to sign on as if not as administrator. I think that's how my computer crashed in the first place and how they got so far up in my life.    Be careful and
    good luck

  • How to set MBair to acting like ad-hoc wifi router ...

    Hi all X'
    I wanna to participate a ipodtouch4 to the cable internet at the MBair.
    The internet at the MBair is with a cable but with NO ROUTER.
    HOW CAN I MAKE THE MBAIR TO ACT AS A 'ROUTER'?
    DHCP seems not the way it is.

    Comcast certainly can and does put the SMC modem into bridging mode for customers.
     From an older thread....
       "The request to put the router in bridge mode takes Comcast about 3 seconds to do. The correct number to call to have it done is 800-363-2416 and ask anyone who answers to do this."

  • Unable to establish TCP connection when enabling internet sharing (Phone acting as hotspot)

    I have developed a small .NET Desktop application which hosts a TCP service. In addition, it sends UDP Multicasts to anounce that service.
    Service consumer is a Phone 8.1 app, which listens for these UDP multicasts and when it receives such a multicast, it creates a TCP connection to the service.
    The following snippet shows how the Phone 8.1 app listens for UDP packets and then connects via TCP
    const string UdpPort = "42";
    const string TcpPort = "43";
    const string MultiCastIp = "224.5.6.7";
    const int TimeoutForServerLookup = 10000;
    //-- listen for UDP multicasts
    HostName hostNameOfServer = null;
    var udp = new DatagramSocket();
    var clientFound = false;
    udp.MessageReceived += delegate(DatagramSocket sender, DatagramSocketMessageReceivedEventArgs args)
    try
    hostNameOfServer = args.RemoteAddress;
    catch (Exception ex)
    s_Log.Error("Error in handling UDP packet", ex);
    await udp.BindServiceNameAsync(UdpPort);
    udp.JoinMulticastGroup(new HostName(MultiCastIp));
    var waitedTimeInMs = 0;
    const int delayInMs = 250;
    while (waitedTimeInMs < TimeoutForServerLookup && hostNameOfServer == null)
    waitedTimeInMs += delayInMs;
    await Task.Delay(TimeSpan.FromMilliseconds(delayInMs));
    udp.Dispose();
    //-- we now have the adress of the TCP server (hostNameOfServer)
    //-- connect now to the server. this works when being in a "normal" WLAN, does not work when the phone is the hotspot
    var socket = new StreamSocket();
    await socket.ConnectAsync(hostNameOfServer, TcpPort);
    This works well when the Desktop computer and the Windows Phone 8.1 are within the same WLAN. For some customers it is important that this also works when the Windows Phone 8.1 acts as hotspot (by enabling internet sharing on the phone) and the desktop computer
    (or Laptop) connects itself to this WLAN. In this scenario the Phone 8.1 still receives the UDP packets, but when trying to connect via TCP, the connection attempt fails.
    Any ideas how to get rid of this problem?

    Have you tracked down if the phone actually sends the TCP connection to the desktop? I'm feeling that this is a firewall issue that shows itself when the firewall zone changes (public/private/domain).

  • Where is the loyalty to their customers?

    I have been a loyal Verizon Wireless customer for 10 (ish) years. I have always been impressed with their strong customer service and the reliable signal they provided. My one gripe has always been that their phones do not last, but I had learned to deal with that. I recommended them to everyone I know; family members and co-workers especially. Until now.
    There has been a obvious change in their customer service. I have called and emailed them a few times in the past 2 weeks and received several different answers regarding a billing issue and the new share everything plan. The service reps are rude and inaccurate with their information. With the new share everything plan, I would be paying more, getting less and dealing with rude customer service reps. I don't think so! I am interested to hear what others have to say about their recent interactions with Verizon Wireless. Also, I encourage you all to shop around before committing to another contract with Verizon Wireless and LET THEM KNOW if they are not meeting and/or exceeding your expectations. That is the only way things will change!

    I totally agree because I have been a customer for many years. I have recently been fighting over a upgraded phone that I purchased and I called customer service twice and to verify that my plan would 'nt change or my bill. Long behold next bill there is was 40 bucks higher. I called them back after the 14 day grace period I was unaware of and told them of this issue. Long story short I have been a month later trying to get my bill back the way it was. I have even documented proof in my file that each Rep would see when they would look at my account.
    They put in requests for change and I have been denied even though they told me and lied to me they still cant make right what they screwed up. I  would have never got this phone if they would have told me this ahead of time. One thing is for sure Verizon has showed me there true colors on this deal. I just wrote one of the Executives a letter and we will see if that gets a response. It sure was easy to take my money and sign me up with just a Key Stroke yet It is an Act of God to correct there on screw up.
    This will be my last Round of Buisness with Verizon if this is the way they treat there customers especially after they made a mistake and aren't willing to fix it.
