Contract Update Pub for status update

Hi,
We have developed a custom program to update the status of the contract to Hold, if the meter reading of the contract is not received.
The okc_contract_pub.update_contract_header program is functioning weirdly. For some contracts it is updating the status of the contract alone and for few it is changing the status of the lines as well.
Any help in this regard would be very helpful.

If you are updating only header using this API and update header procedure, lines are not touched at all. But please check whether you are using the contract event (actions and independent conditions with outcomes) functionality. If yes, under certain circumstances, the header status may also be percolating to the lines (but this has to be custom).
Just out of curiosity, why are you updating the header? What if the contract has more customer products that have meter readings collected and needs to be billed for that month? By changing the header status you are not billing those customer products as well. You may want to update only lines not entire contract, unless you are using something line family plan for phones where there are more phones and you need to receive all the minutes used before you bill.

You do not need ?&promoid=KRUVP at the end of the url but it should not matter.
One thing to check is if your hosts file is modified. Open the Command Prompt and type: notepad %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
This will open a read-only copy of your host file in Notepad. Are there any entries in this file regarding adobe.com?
The other thing you can do is open the Developer Tools in the Chrome browser. On Windows press Ctrl + Shift to open them. Switch to the Network tab. Reload the page by pressing Ctrl + r. Check for any 4xx or 5xx errors which should be colored red.

Contract updation for Delivered material quantity

Hi All,
I have a problem related, contract and release order updating with reference to delivered material quantity.
for example let's say contract is created for 1000 units of material A, after that sales order with reference to contract is created for 500 units and delivery is created for 300 units then remaining order quantity cannot be delivered as customer master is maintained so.
Now I want to create sales order for 700 units of 'A' but system is not allowing to do so saying the 500 units are already referenced.
If i use rejection reason in sales order still system is not allowing to create a new sales order with 700 units.
How to solve this issue?

Hi Manam,
thank you very much for your immediate reply.
But the issue is a sales order will have only one delivery as the sales order contains freight amount at header level which helps calculate the excise duties as the prices quoted to customer include freight and duties.
So now is that possible to update the delivered quantity at contract level so that undelivered quantity can be referenced to create another sales order and can be delivered.
To describe the process:
A contract will be created, a sales order will be created for required delivery quantity then delivery will be created. In case due to some problems if delivery quantity is less than sales order then the undelivered quantity will be getting updated in sales order. and the sales order undelivered quantity will be rejected and the contract will get updated.
Please help.

I searched in the forum, but I didn't find an answer.
I'm working on a 3.0B BW system.
After updating from PSA to an ODS, in the log I see the following line:
"Performing check and potential update for status control table" and double clicking on it, it says:
If data is loaded into an InfoCube, or existing data is edited (aggregated/compressed/deleted/got from a DataMart), then there is a change in the potential reportability of the data , or the possibility of deleting data by request, or of aggregating or compressing.
This status of each one of these Cubes is stored in a status table, that is updated when there is any change to the status of a request in the Cube.
The system now analyzes the requests in the Cube and compares the calculated status with the status table.
If deviations from the status table arise then you are given the option of adjusting the status table.
I have 2 questions:
1) What is BW doing, mainly because I'm working on an ODS and not an Infocube?
2) What can I do to reduce its execution time, since it lasts several minutes?

What is status control table ? and can I have some inputs as to how to solve this issue

Hi,
This message is not a issue in itself. It is just a SAP message which means that the system is checking/updating the system tables to carry out the operation whether it can be done or not.
If your loads are failing at this step or after this message there can be many reasons, check some of the possible reasons below
Performing check and potential update for status control table
Update from PSA error in Process Chain
problem in deleting request
Reporting not available ,even if Data is sucessfully loaded into DT

Update failed looking for Status.msi

I recently downloaded and attempted to install an update to improve USB connectivity for my C6280 All-In-One printer. The update failed because something called Status.msi could not be located.
Now, everytime I start my computer an Windows installation box pops-up still looking for Status.msi. I have to cancel it 15-20 times before it fianally stops popping up.
I tried to get help fron the HP on-line chat techs but the one I got was absolutely worthless. It was obvious he never understood what the problem was.
I am not overly endowed with in-depth computer knowledge so any sugggestions need to be on as simple a level as possible.
I am using a Dell Dimension C521 with Vista Home Premium. My printer is a Photosmart C6280 All-in-one.
At this point I would be happy to just get the installation box to quit popping up.

Insert the installation cd for your printer. Now in the CD contents, open the location setup\status, now right click on Status.msi and click on repair. It may ask you to restart the PC.
If this doesn't work, then when you get the "installation box", then click on the Browse button and locate the status.msi file on the CD in the same location, and the box shouldnt reappear.

What does it mean?Please explain what is status control table and how it performs?

No Contract in effect for this territory... ***?

I've just (successfully) put a book of mine up on iTunes. Yeah! It is listed for sale in 32 countries.
I had checked off ALL of the countries presented in the pricing/rights process. I own the book outright, and would love it to be purchaseable worldwide.
My product summary, though, shows "Not on 18 stores" and provides this much-less-than-helpful footnote for each:
"No Contract. You do not have a contract in effect for this territory. Please work with your iBookstore representative to enter into a new contract if you wish to sell your books in the territory in question."
Unfortunately, I do not have an iBookstore representative (or perhaps we've never been introduced), nor is there a link to find one. Nor is there any obvious path to complete whatever forms or paperwork or inputs are needed to sell this book in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, etc. Nor a cogent explanation of why I can select all of these countries as intended markets if I'm not able to actually sell there. Nor why my completed contract isn't sufficient.
Pointer to an answer appreciated. Even better, a pointer to the resources or activities required to sell worldwide.

Last week Apple has introduced the ibookstore in some new countries
in order to publish in those stores you have to update your contract
it's quite easy: from itunesconnect go to the main page and choose Contracts, Tax and Banking
you will find in the first row the request to amend your contracts
it's enough to confirm to have your books 'in store' at once

How to stop sales orders from contracts from qualifying for Rebates.

We have set up rebate agreements for customers and they are working as expected.
Now our sales people want to start using contracts for some special deals for certain customers and products. But they DO NOT want these sales orders from these contracts to qualify for rebates.
Does anybody know how we can set this up or if it is at all possible?

I got one more idea and so try it out.If it sounds foolish please ignore.Instead of going for userexits its better you go for a different sales order type whenever you refer to a contract.And make sure you assign a different pricing procedure which does not contain the condition type BO03 at all.Ofcourse this new sales document should have a different document pricing procedure.

My Contracted SIM is for an android phone, but when i put the sim in an iphone my 3g no longer works?.. Is it because my 3g is only active on the android os and not the ios platform? Texts, Calls and Wifi work fine but the 3g doesn't work. My phone only shows 'GPRS' in the top left corner. Also I get a message come up saying "Could not activate mobile data network. You are not subscribed to a mobile data service".
Any advice would be great.

Hi hexonxonx, I'm on o2. Thanks for your advice. You are right. All I had to do was change one of my APN settings to mobile.o2.co.uk and reboot my phone and this sorted it out straight away! Thanks again. Much appreciated . I was thinking I was going to have to go back to an android phone to use my 3g again but this eliminated that need. Thanks.

"Reason for Status" in Service Ticket

Hi Experts,
In IC Webclinet (SAP CRM 2007) I am in the porcess of configuring a Transaction Type for Service Ticket. There is field called "REASON FOR STATUS" which needs to be filled in every time when the status of the Service Ticket is changed. I am not able to find this in the system. Can any one suggest how do I configure this field in the system.

Status reasons is nothing but a Subject Profile.
Heres how to config Subject profile:
1. Define Catalog:
IMG > CRM > Basic Functions > Catalogs, Codes and Profiles > Define Catalogs
2. Define Code Groups and Codes
IMG > CRM > Basic Functions > Catalogs, Codes and Profiles > Define Code Groups and Codes for Catalogs
3. Define Code Group Profiles
IMG > CRM > Basic Functions > Catalogs, Codes and Profiles > Define Code Group Profiles
4. Define Subject Profiles
IMG > CRM > Basic Functions > Catalogs, Codes and Profiles > Define Subject Profiles
Now you can assign the Subject profile to the status profile.

What does the option 'Settings- incorrect waiting time for status' do ?

Hi All
We had an infopackage that seemed to be hanging this morning . (Yellow Status) I was advised to access the option 'Settings->incorrect waiting time for status' and set the wait time to 7 minutes (from 7 hours). This changed the status to Red.
I then re-ran the ipak and reset the ''Settings->incorrect waiting time for status' to 7 hours. This made the red process go back to yellow and the run time started going up again.
Can someone explain what is going on. Have I got 2 instances of the same ipak running simulateously. Why did the red one come back to life even thoug I deleted the request in data target for that ipak.

CPH Reports for Status Attribute.

Using Central performance History (RZ23n), is it possible to create reports for Status attributes?
Eg: I want to create for number of abap dumps, dead locks for each day.
As per documentation it says we can create for performance values and we are able to create CPH reports for R3Dialog Response time...

We are using the same report. But its bit uneasy to go to change document of each and every ticket. Also in this report we could not find how much days the notification lay in New status or in In-process status. We require somewhat in following format.
Ticket number     New           Customer action     In-process
000001          1Day          1.3 Days          1 Day
000002          1.3 Days                           2.3 Days           1 Day
000003          3 Days          3.4 Days          1 Day
We are not bothered about days, week or hours etc. The purpose is to indentify how much time every ticket took stage wise. May be through ABAP this possible but we are looking for standard reports.
