Convert procurement plan from I2 into purchase requisitions

Hi Ahmad,
If you want to firm planned orders, then use MRP type P1,P2,P3,P4 and P5. The firming logic of already existing and new planned orders are differs for the MRP type P1 to P5. You can select as per your requirement.
Then if you want the system do not generarate new Planned order if PR exist already, please select the Individual/Collective indicator in MRP 4 view to Collective requirement (02).

Hi Sandeep,
From SAP 4.6C version onwards SAP support partial conversion of a Planned Order into Purchase reqt / production Order and the balance will be available with the same Planned Order number itself.
Later you have the option of converting teh balance planned order qty to either Production order / Pur reqt.
So I can say if your current SAP version is more than or equal to 4.6C then you can convert the partial planned order to Pur reqt now and later the balancce qty to either Pur Reqt itself OR Production Order.

u cant convert the production order into Pr.
ho ever u can procure the material against the Production order using the account assignment category.
also check with ur PP consultant for automatic creation of PR with ref to Production order, after exploding the BOM.
check MRP run.

Releasing demand plan from DP into custom categories in SNP.

Hi Gurus,
I need to release the demand plan from DP into SNP custom categories Z1 thru Z4. The key figures that I mapped to these custom categories are created in a non-standard planning area (copied from 9ASNP02).
I am able to release the demand plan using category FA only. Can anyone help me in releasing demand plan into these custom categories in SNP.

I did a F1 help on target category field in tcode /n/sapapo/mc90 and this is what i found
For the release of the demand plan to Supply Network Planning, you can specify a category that tells the system which category of orders to release to. An entry in this field is optional, but if you do enter a category it must be a category that represents sales orders or forecasts, such as FA or FB.
You can also release to categories you have created yourself. This allows you to distinguish, for example, between different forecast priorities.
The system proceeds as follows:
1. Has a category been entered in the release profile? If yes, this category is used.
2. If no, has a category been set in the definition of the requirements strategy in Customizing? (You define the product's strategy in the Proposed strategy field on the Demand tab of the product master record.) If yes, this category is used.
3. If no, category FA (forecasts) is used.
So as the F1 help says in the release transaction /n/sapapo/mc90 did you try giving the custom categories ? Also i have one more idea - after the forecast gets released to category FA , copy it to a key figure that is assigned custom cateogries Z1 to Z4.
But just want to understand something . Why do you want to release it to a custom cateory instead of FA ? How are you going to handle the consumption of forecasts by sales orders if you release it to custom category. I think releasing it to a custom category will make your process more complicated since you are altering the standard SAP functionality.

Convertion of planned order into Purchase Requisition

Hi,
I have a planned order with Qty 50 (I have checked in MD16 it says qty:50)
Scenario 1:
I converted it to Purchase Requisition with qty.40, with change in qty. 10 numbers. After converting with qty. difference, I checked it in MD16, it say the qty as 10.
Scenario 2:
I converted it to Purchase Requisition with qty.60, with change in qty. 10 numbers. After converting with qty. difference, I checked it in MD16, I never find that Planned order in the list.
Now my questions are:
1. In which table this difference will be stored?
2. Or is there any t-code to see this Pl. order and PR qty. difference?
3. with respect to the second scenario why the planned order is not listed if i put more qty. in Purchase requisition than in the planned order?
4. Is there any setting to be done in IMG?

Planned order are just like PR assume that if you have PR of 100 Qty but still you can do PO more then of PR Qty.
In the same way in case of planned order either you can convert it to PR or Production/process Order it behaves in the same manner.
Planned order data will be stored in table PLAF but once planned order deleted or converted it will not be in any table
You can fetch the deleted planned order data or converted planned order data.
But still you can go to individual PR to see the reference of Planned order no there.

Converting rotatation value from flash into svg

also it is not coming in the position seen in flash window which is
not in svg file.
And also check the formulae is right to convert the value
from angle to degree.
if We scale the object it comes in right scaled and right x
and y position. only if We rotate the rotated object is in correct
angle but not in correct x,y axis position

Transfer attachment from material to purchase requisition

I have a material in the material master with attached DMS. It is possible that when I create a purchase requisition in the transaction ME51N, I automatically transfer the attachment from the material master to the purchase requisition?

u can use the function module : SO_OBJECT_UPLOAD inorder to upload a file and function module 'SO_ATTACHMENT_INSERT' inorder to insert an attachment in a particular folder.
If u want to send this attachment to the workflow, then create bo such that it responds to a particular event, and this can be stored in the workflow container.
And if u want to upload the attachment in a mail, then use the upload option in the send mail step of the workflow.

Plan only releases one purchase requisition at the time

has anyone seen this scenario? When the planner checks multiple purchase requisitions for release and then, when he attempts to release them, the dialog box shows that only one req got released?

That is unusual.
Has the planner saved the earlier records after checking the for release box? Was there any error/warning message?
Have you checked on the Source side if 1 or more reqs. got created?
Is it possible that the other records were Internal reqs or wip jobs?

Adopt Storage Location into Purchase Requisition

Hi all,
We plan some materials on storage location level with reorder points. As soon as the stock falls below the reorder point MRP creates a new purchase req. but the storage location field in the PR is blank.
I already tried to use the field 'storage loc. for ext. procurement' on the MRP1 view of the mat. master. But this has only impacts when I convert the PR into a PO.
As the demand for the material is on storage location level, I thought there should be a way to get the storage loc. into the PR.

Hi,
If you want to plan your materials seperately for each storage location then you need to activate MRP at storage location level first in IMG:
SPROMaterials ManagementConsumption based planning>Planning>Define Storage Location MRP per Plant
and maintain MRP indicator as 2,
similarily maintain indicator 2 in material master, and then fix the reorder levels for each seperately.
After this system will create seperate PR for each sloc.

Copying of Service items from contract into Purchase order

Dear Friends,
We have upgraded from 4.6B to ECC6.
Previously when we create Purchase Order with reference to Contract(i.e.Release order),we select service line items by selecting service selection button from PO and select the service line items from Contract,then whatever the line item whether line item 30,or line item 60 copied from Contract is copied into line item 10 of Purchase order in 4.6B version.
But in ECC6 ,it is copied into other line item but not copied into line item 10 of purchase order.
Please suggest ,what needs to be done, what went wrong.

Pl. elaborate whether the quantity 1 is appearing at Item Overview level or at Item Details level. At the item overview level the quantity will aleays be 1 with unit of measure as AU. At item details, you will be able to view the actual quantity of services copied from contract.

Convert shape created from masks into it's own shape or mask?

Hi everyone.
I've created a shape layer (an ellipse) and used a couple different masks to create a more unique shape. Now, I'd like to extrude that shape into 3D, but as you may know, the ray-tracer doesn't support masks.
So I'm wondering, how would you convert this new shape into an actual shape that uses no masks? I'd like it to be it's own shape or at least have a path that resembles he new shape I created from the shape layer and those masks.
Any idea how to do this? Thanks.

Now I know these are made from solids, but the original is an ellipse mask with some other masks drawn over it.
I was able to make these same half rings with a shape layer and some masks. I'd ultimately like to make that shape a shape layer of its own with no masks so that I can extrude it in 3D.
I wish there was some sort of magic wand tool that would let me select the shape, save the selection as a path, then use that... man I really have to go into a whole nother program to do this? Geeze.

No Audio when converting a movie from iphoto into iweb.

Hi there,
I have a Sony Camera W17 which takes stills and short movies. I often grab little bit so film of the kids.
Today it was my daugthers birthday so I am in a hurry to get stuff up on my web page as we have moved to the opposite side of the world to our family.
So heres the problem. When I import the stills and movie I use iphoto and I can see all in there (although the duplicate option is crap for movies).
Now if I import them from the camera into imovie or copy across from iphoto I lose my sound. I really want to use the compressing function in imovie so I can add to my web page via iweb. The problem is that I lose the sound so I resort to copying the file in iphoto and taking it straight to iweb. These files are too large for most people to view.
Has anyone gots any tips as to how I get around this? What is causing the sound to get lost yet I can hear it in iphoto. I read somewhere that says its to do with the file type but I am not sure.

Converting audio signals from mydaq into discrete values

Hi guys!
I am currently building a project that accepts audio signals from mydaq. I wanted to make the analog signals have it descrete peak values. Is this possible? I plan to use the discrete peak values and sum them up using a shift register instead of doing peak detection. I think it is more easy.
Any suggestions would help. Thank you very much!

That is wrong (unless you are dealing with Doppler Shifts, but they implies the object is moving). Closer peaks mean that you are dealing with a higher frequency (or pitch). Louder sounds just have higher amplitudes (larger peaks).
