Cost Centres inherited from the Org.

Hello Experts,
Please help.
I Have to pull a report asap that lists all org units with their cost centres and cost distributions and I have to indicate where the cost centre / cost distribution was inherited from another org. I also have to show which org the cost centre / cost distribution was inherited from.
What is the best way to pull this data?

S_AHR_61016528 with evaluaton path OMACC_D works to show the account assignment and the inheritance however it doesn't show the cost distribution. Is there another evaluation path I can use to get the cost distribution and it's inheritance?

Cost Center Inheritance from Org Unit

Good day all,
Can someone please advise regarding cost center inheritance from org units?
I understand the inheritance concept, however simple need to know if the CCenter is added to the org unit via A011 relationship, does the system physically create a A011 relationship on the position inhertiting the cost center from the org or does the system simply pick up the realtionship from the org unit relationsip for use in IT0001 field KOSTL (cost center)?

As we know cost centre(K) is an unusual object in OM.Two type of objects internal whose master record are in database table beloging to sap erp hcm and eexternal object whose master data belong to other application areas.Cost centre is an external object that is used to represent origin of costs.Inheritance concept is on the basis of whoch cost centre are assigned in org plan.
directly related cost centre is called master cost centre and they are made via A011 cost centre assignment relationsip.they can be made at org unit,position or work centre and nornmally its org unit that common.Org unit at the top are asisgned the cost centre as a best practise so that all the org units below or reporting will inherit the same.
Similarly multiple cost centre assignments can also e made through 1018 infotype(cost centre distribution).Inheritance also applied to them aswell.

COST CENTRE EXPENSES WITH THE HELP OF COSP

hi all,
i have to make a report on cost centre expenses with the help table COSP.I have to put cost centre from OBJNR in which last five haraters are cost centre and period like month and year.After that in report display i want KSTAR i.e. in down the line and cost centres of selection in vertical it may increase or decrease depending on selection.After that i have to add all the WTG001-WTG016.if in seletion period is 1 to 2 then i have to add WTG001 and WTG002 in corresponding in KSTAR and so on in desired cost centre column below that facing respective KSTAR.If anyone can send any report relating that i will be thankful.

No, you will be charged the full price, there is no discount for having previously rented it.

Default Cost Centre No. in the Settlement Rule

We have an issue here. When maintenance orders are settled, a Cost centre ABCD001 is automatically picked up as 'settlemement receiver'. From where this default Cost Centre number is coming ? Could you please guide me.

Migration of Cost Centre Hierarchy from 4.7 to ECC.0

Hi Gurus
Our client is upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6
Now currently we have a standard hierarchy in Legacy system and multiple alternate hierarchies.
I would request your suggestions on the best way to be able to combine and modify the Hierarchies outside Legacy System before uploading into ECC.
I could find an IDOC COGRP01 which can create cost centre groups which requires data in a particular format.

Choice is yours! Whether you modify it in the Source system 4.7 version and then transfer it to ECC or you move it as it is to ECC and then modify it in ECC
you will have to choose between the two

Unit cost of material from the PO for a specific time

Hi gurus,
is there a report that can give us what the unit cost of a material was during a given time frame. The cost we are looking at is the PO price. For example we would want to be able to see OK what was the cost of Part A from 03/01/09 to 03/31/2009 or on 3/1/2009.

For material group / vendor you get the purchasing values..
for that check: MC$4 : for vendor..
MC$< : for material group
But material price can;t be taken out directly, just because material master data is independent of vendor master data...and both together comes into picture when they are procured from the given vendor...

VI01 - Shipment Costs (combining Deliveries from the Shipment)

Hello experts
Do you know how to combine (consolidate) the shipment costing line item (VI01) when there are more than one Delivery to the same customer in the Shipment document?
E.g. I have a Shipment with 58 Deliveries and for a specific customer has 2 Deliveries, the Shipment Costing (VI01) must to create just one line item consolidating the 2 Deliveries for that customer, not to split 2 lines (one line for each Delivery).
Any help will be highly appreciated.

As per my best knowledge shipment cost document item is not created based on delivery, it is created from shipment header or shipment stages:

Shipment cost items
The items refer either to a shipment header or a shipment stage. The items contain general data for shipment costing and settlement, such as service agent, pricing date and settlement date, tax amount and tax basis as well as organizational data such as company code, plant and purchasing organization.
There is an individual status at item level for each of the shipment costing, account assignment and forwarding to FI functions.
As you can see delivery is not mentioned.
At shipment cost sub-item level you may have deliveries.
Isn't it possible that your deliveries belong to different stages? Is any related development in your system?
Please check your shipment and report us on the result.

Cost center change makes the Org Assignment infotype go blank

Hi Experts.
Am trying to change the cost center of an org unit. What happens is, the Infotype 0001 records of all the employees in that Org Unit are delimited and go blank. Can you please suggest a solution for this. Org Re-assignment action helps, but this is a tedious task.

I have a design that contains such classes.

Sometimes you might make an implementation decision that adversely impacts the design but you better have a better reason than just because it reduces some code. Maybe it reduces a lot of code, but if so then that might suggest something is wrong with the design.

Text From the Org unit

Hi,
Is there any function module that returns the text maintained in the BASIC data TAB for the Organizational Unit.(PPOMA_CRM-Tcode).

The entire org data is available in Infotype 1000 in table HRP1000. If you the object type (For example S - Position etc) and the object id, STEXT usually contains what you are interested in.

Cost Centre Derivation Issue at the time of PGI

Dear Experts,
At the time of Posting Post Goods Issue, SD Consultant is facing error that GL Account 6* requires assignment to a CO Object.
According to my understanding, system should derive Cost Centre at the time of P.G.I through following logic :
I have assigned Profit Centre : 999999 to the Cost Centre : ABCD and the said profit centre is being used at the time of Sales Order Posting. While doing PGI, system should derive cost centre data from Profit Centre Data which is used in Sales Order but currently system is not behaving like this.
Another way is to assign respective cost centres against COGS Gls through T-Code : OKB9 which is not right I think. Because how can we map Cost Centre Data with Profit Centre Data in order to get Profit Centre Wise Profitability Reports?
Please guide me any solution.

Hi Sapna,
For most cases, your COGS account should not be a cost element.
Secondly, if you want to make it a cost element, you will have to maintain OKB9 for it, either on the basis of profit center or plant.
System cannot pick cost center based on the cost center master data because there may be many cose centers assigned under the same profit center. There is no one-to-one mapping of cost center to profit center.
I would suggest you do not make COGS as cost element unless the sale order is an MTO sales order or business insists on it.
If business insists on it, then add the cost element to OKB9.

Reporting - Costs from the same GL account required in different categories

We have a business requirement to report in the following way for management account reporting:
Sales
Gross Profit
Freight
DC Rent & Other Operating Costs
DC Wages
Intercoy Logistics Charge
   Total Distribution
Store Operating Expenses
Wages
Rent
Other Expenses
   Total Store
Head Office Operating Expenses
Advertising
Wages
Other Expenses
   Total Head Office
The issue is that Wages appears 3 times in the hierarchy, for different groups of cost centres but using the same GL Accounts.
We currently export a hierarchy from ECC6 as a Cost Element Group but it is not possible to include a cost element multiple times in a hierarchy.
We do not wish to create different GL Accounts for DC, Store and Head Office wages.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can report in the above format?. Can the hierarchy be built directly in BW?

Adrian - the problem is that you have two organisational enties that you are trying to merge and provide an intersection of data
The easiest and from a scalability viewpoint - the worst is to have two key figure structures
ie in your columns you have a normal This month, YTD etc - which is based on key figure plus a time srestiction (and maybe a version for actual or plan etc,)
then in your rows you have multiple hard coded lines - ie create a second key figure structure and have hard coded RKFs ie Sales is all profit centres, head office opetaring expenses is profit centre of head office and cost element group of expenses etd
To get the text only lines you create a CKF and hard code it to a constant of 0 (I know it's pants but unless you do it in Crystal that is the only way) and give it a text of Head Office
There are other ways of doing it which are more scalable but if yo uare new to BW this is the easiest way
Naturally if you have a huge row count then you will be in trouble trying to maintain it as in effect you are hard coding each line

Duplication on reassigning the Cost centre group in Cost centre Hierarchy

Hi Experts,
We moved 2 cost centre groups in the Hierachy under T Code OKEON using drag and drop function. What we see is these two groups in their origanal place and also in new Place.
I can not remove them either in OKEON or KSH2.
How to fix this?

You Can go to KSH2 T.Code
Then keep the cursor on required row & Select the Required row which you want to delete by Press F9
That row will turn into Red Color
Then Select F5 to Remove from the list
Then Save it

Notification Required if goods issue aganist the cost centre

Issue/Concern:-
          To reserve stock for a cost center & don't allow issue to another cost centre or notification should be sent to the user.
Description:-
Stock is reserved by creating reservation by MB21 for one cost centre e.g.1151-Production. We want to restrict this stock for the same Costcentre only.But when tried to issue stock to another cost center 11512-Maintanance,
              System should allow for goods issue of this stock to another cost center other than Prouction but notification sent to the Prouction CostCentre user who has done the reservation while issuing.
Kindly let me know if you require more clarifications on this.
