Costs are out of control!

Wow, I am exhausted after searching your website for 30 minutes to find an email address. NOT customer friendly, and this is coming for a long time, loyal Verizon wireless user. I have watched your prices spiral out of control, and I have had enough.
I have been waylaid recovering from surgery and am just getting around to paying bills. And WOW - what the hell is going on with my phone bill? It has SKYROCKETED! I even went to the store last month in an effort to save some money, but now I am paying more than ever. This has got to stop.
Every other phone company is running specials except for Verizon. I am one step away - ONE - from walking away as a customer. What can be done about these EXCESSIVE bills TODAY? I can join Sprint with my boyfriend, his son and ex-wife ---- 4 lines for $100 a month (less with my discount) with more gigs than Verizon, and they will buy out my contract. $25 bucks a month for unlimited talk and text? Help me now or watch me walk.

No they don't charge you to change plans they do prorate you. Nothing got stolen you should have backdated the change to the start of the billing period. You honestly thought you we going to get 450 AND 900 minutes in a month?
here's how it works in your scenario. you had 450 minutes 9 days left that means you used 21 days. 21/30 is .7. So you get 450 X .7 or 315 minutes in the first 21 days. Anything over that is going to be an overage charge. The last 9 days out of 30 is .3 so 900 X .3 is 270. So you'd get 270 minutes for the remaining 9 days. Anything over that is an overage. If you had backdated the change to the start of the billing period you would have had the full 900 minutes for the whole month. I'm 100% sure on the website it ask you if you want to backdate the change.
Also if you don't want to worry about overages on minutes then switch to More Everything, UNLIMITED minutes. Good luck with T-Mobile's cruddy coverage. Hope you don't plan on traveling.

Google is my search engine it will not let me put in Google when I go to type for google it throws me on Yahoo no matter what Yahoo has pretty much taken over my Internet and I don't know what to do it it's a mess. Can someone please help me I am definitely not Mav Savy.

    Open Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Click on Extensions icon in the toolbar. Disable all Extensions. If this stops your problem, then re-enable them one by one until the problem returns. Now remove that extension as it is causing the problem.

    Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
    Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
    Quit Safari
    Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
    Relaunch Safari
    If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
    This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally.   • Data usage numbers are out of control!

    I have read some other post that make me believe there is a problem on Verizon's side in terms of data. My husband and I both have iPhone 5c and we are currently on the 20gb plan. Even though we both do the same things on our phones and generally use them the same amount of time, we are once again this month over our 20gb and once again it shows me using 3x more than he has used, an alarming 16gb in 3 weeks, I cant even begin to fathom this even being possible since I do not watch videos or stream music on my phone. Yes, a lot of email but even using the data calculator on Verizon site where I estimated higher than normal numbers it says I should expect to use about 4-5gb a month, not even close to 16gb in 3 weeks. I love my iPhone (had one with Verizon a few years ago and never used more than 2gb a month with 4 phones on that plan) and I really enjoy Verizon as a carrier, but one more $300+ bill and I can see my husband switching us right back to our old prepaid devices. Hope something can be figured out with this. I am very tech knowledgable and have been through all my settings, my phone is not showing me using nearly as much as Verizon says I have used. If anyone has any suggestions besides the normal "check settings" I am all ears!

    You can disable it in the apps manager if it came pre-installed. You can just Uninstall it if you installed it on your own.
    Snapchat, Facebook, and the like IF you hit the home button instead of the back button they'll run in the background and eat data. Some of them regardless if you use the back button they'll pole for data every so often.
    Don't trust the time stamps in when you use data. Sometimes it was data you used much sooner in the day than the time it shows you. All carriers do this and there should be a disclaimer telling you this which most user never notice.
    I use social media, but never on my phone.

  • My Photos Are Out Of Control

    On the summary of my phone in iTunes it says that I have over 400 pictures. On my phone however, it says I only have 78. These photos are taking up a lot of unnecessary space!

    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
    I understand that you are seeing a discrepancy in the number of photos your iPhone shows verses what iTunes shows. In this situation, one troubleshooting step that I would recommend would be reinstalling the iPhone Operating System.
    First, for safety, either back up your iPhone to iTunes or iCloud. 
    Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support
    Next, I suggest placing your iPhone in recovery mode and performing an update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data. 
    If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
    Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
    Put your device in recovery mode.
    When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

  • Deactivate Cost center accounting in controlling area

    Hi all,
    Could you describe the consequences of the deactivation of CO-CCA in the controlling area?: should I expect incoherencies ?
    The activation (deactivation) code setting is free in OKKP transaction. My first deactivation test show me it's possible to make new postings in FI (FB60) and the cost center is not necessary anymore.
    In fact in my case I don't need to check FI-CO reconciliation.

    Why this type of requirement is coming into our mind. SAP controlling has very good funtionalities for internal reporting. If you deactivate cost center accounting then how your management would see...cost center reporting, budgeting, controlling
    for example you have cost element salary,,,,,with one gl for a company,,,how you will distinguish salary with reference to a division , dept, location....
    how you will get your assessment, settlement, costing all these for which CO functionalities are developed

  • Activate Cost Component Split in Controlling Area Currency

    Hello,
    I have controlling area currency USD and company code currency INR. When I do WIP run then system is giving error messages "contr.area currecy is missing" and "not find valid cost component structure" and suggesting to maintain "Cost Component Split in Controlling Area Currency".
    When I maintain then after that I am not able to run CK11N for std.cost estimate only with the error "cost componenet spit costed with zero" and also system giving this message on front screen of ck11n, means not allowing to go into ck11n result screen.
    Could you please give me some tips or check point on this issue.

    I'd revert to the Cost Component per Co Area currency config that you were forced to delete (as per your other post) - but this time, just for a Costing Type or a specific Val Variant and check the results.
    Maybe that'll throw some light... also check if you maintained all the Exchange Rate config in your system... check General Settings for all the config that is required.

    Can a same Cost Element under the Chart Of Accounts(CSKA) used in multiple controlling areas under the Chart Of Accounts or it should be used only by one Controlling Area. Then as Cost Element category is under CSKB (Cost elements (data dependent on controlling area)) it depends on Cost element and  controlling area. So can a Cost elemtnt in different controlling areas has different cost element category. Is that possible as in that case COst ELement becomes GL Account in one Controlling area and doesnt have GL Acvcount in another.

    Yes.  Provided it's the same chart of accounts being used across all of the controlling areas.  In the case of primary cost elements, you will still need to individually create the equivalent G/L accounts in every applicable company though.

    KA01 allow me to crete cost element one by one through reference but this will not solve the problem.

    u must have ur chart of accounts and GL accounts
    u can do that automaticaaly insted of going to KA01
    u can do that in Tcode - OKB2
    enter the chart of accounts
    Range the GL accounts ( lets primary cost element  with catagory 1)
    range aal Gl accounts ( lets for all revenue account with catagory  11)
    save
    create batch input session in OKB2
    execute batchinput in OKB3
    hoep this would solve ur problem

  • Actual Costs are not captured in Production Order

    Hi Experts,
    I'm not able to see the actual costs for a production order. We made the cost estimate for a material for this month. We created the production order and partial confirmation also done. In production order i'm able to see the target cost only. I'm not able to see the actual cost for the production order after confirmation.
    In routing costing relevancy tick mark is available and in work center i maintained the cost center and activity types also.
    Can you please share anything is missed for getting actual cost for a production order.

    you would finally confrim order (set CNF status) and try again.
    also chack out you master data:
    -material master (possible Acc1-2 and Cost1-2)
    -work center (say,did you set a valid Cost center there?), are activities set up? usage? validity?..
    -routing (header data and control key at item level)
    check out your control key against the 'Cnf' and 'PrtCnf' checkboxes...

  • IMac 20" G5 (gen1) with out of control fans

    My iMac's fans are running at speeds that are driving me and my office mate completely out of our minds. Currently, terminal reports:
    "location" = "System Fan" | | | | "target-value" = 1240 | | | | "location" = "CPU fan"

    | | | "location" = "Hard Drive"
    | | | "target-value" = 1800
    | | | "location" = "sysclk slew"
    | | | "target-value" = 1
    The CPU is running at an average load of 26.1% and is at 144.3 degrees, with no out of control processes, and the hard drive is at 125.6 degrees. That's with only 5 applications running.
    I'm running OS 10.4.3 and the iMac has 2 gigs of RAM. I've run the Apple Hardware Test disk, which reported no problems, and have run an overnight memory test, which also reported no problems and have reverted back to the Apple supplied memory with no positive effect.
    I've also (several times):
    • reset the SMU (PMU for older Mac fans)
    • cleared the PRAM
    • run disk utility
    • repaired the permissions
    • done a clean software install
    Nothing has worked. This is all on a computer whose firewire didn't work out of the box and which I repaired with a refurbed motherboard when it was less than a week old. Nothing like buying a new machine and getting a refurbished one to start you off on the right foot.
    Now I'm trying to get this computer, which is under warranty, repaired but can't even find a number that I can call where I won't get charged! I live in Maine, so taking it to an Apple Store, or even a convenient service center is out of the question. Can someone advise?
    This has been, without a doubt, my most disappointing Apple experience ever (and I owned a Mac Portable!)

    I'm certainly open to another member's disagreement on this, but It appears to me that you have done everything necessary to disqualify software as the cause of your fan issue.
    In that case, it's probably worth it to you to go ahead and give Apple your credit card to enable phone support for this issue, as it appears likely to be hardware related, which will cost you nothing (they should only charge you if it turns out to be a software issue.
    Phone support will go down a list of things that you need to do to disqualify software, all of which, I believe, you've already tried. The only risk would be if phone support comes up with a software fix that no one on this board thinks to recommend to you. However, on the bright side, if no one on here can come up with another idea to try, and phone support has one that does work, it's going to be worth the cost, what is it - $75, I think?
    I suppose your alternatives would be to:
    1. buy some books or an AppleCare repair course and become an expert,
    or
    2. buy AppleCare and get free phone support back for both software and hardware for another two+ years, as well as valuable rights to in-home repairs.
    If you have seen your iMac run well at times, and can see keeping it, AppleCare at $169 could be a bargain for what you might get out of it in phone support alone, not to mention another expensive part replacement a year from now. Furthermore, there are times it can be found at a lower price on eBay, usually a bit under $100 delivered. I have bought several, for this one I'm using, for a 17" that I sold, plus as a gift for a relative's iMac.

    The issue is When we are calulating the Variances for prodcut cost collectors the actual costs are not ( For few materials of BOM) updating.
    Because of these the variances are showing high.....If I settele this variances to COPA, my copa report is will be going wrong.....

  • Why are some of my photos tack sharp while others in the same series are out of focus?

    My camera is a Canon Rebel XS (dSLR) and I primarily use the 50mm f/1.8 lens. 
    I shoot in Manual Mode with Autofocus ON.
    I am having difficulty with my photos coming out incositant - some are out of focus, while others in the same series (taken a moment apart) are tack sharp.
    I've attached two examples - one of the out-of-focus image, the other sharp images (both have been blown up).
    It is not camera shake and my settings are identical for both photos. (ISO 200 | f/4.5 | 1/100sec in this instance.)
    This has become such a problem that I find myself needing to take 10x more photos of the same subject/pose in order to hopefully get one sharp image from the series.
    I have asked multiple people about this problem (though I have yet to take my camera and lens to a shop due to lack of funds) and no one has any idea of either what I'm talking about or what the problem could be.
    I would appreciate your thoughts and help!

    This new pair of images does not look like camera motion -- this one looks like it missed focus.
    If you use the included Canon Digital Photo Professional that came with your camera, you can right-click an image and tell it show you the focus point which were used (the camera wont know if you did a focus-and-recompose technique... so if you recompose after locking focus then the focus points indicated by DPP wouldn't be meaningful). But I bring this up because it would allow you to determine which focus point the camera claims it used.
    I think you mentinoned that you used "One Shot" focus mode -- not AI Servo. One Shot should block the camera from taking the shot until it thinks it confirmed focus-lock on the selected AF point (or on at least one AF point it you allow the camera to pick from any of its available focus points.) In AI Servo the camera WILL take the shot when you fully press the button -- whether it successfully locked focus or not.
    That brings us back to the subject of the focus test.
    If you do not own a commercial chart, then you may want to download one from the Internet and print it. Here's a good site: http://regex.info/blog/photo-tech/focus-chart
    Print the chart and follow the instructions. I deliberately run the camera out of focus to nearest focus distance and force the camera to re-focus and shoot... and I repeat this at least a half-dozen times. I then repeat... but this time deliberately run the camera out of focus to infinity before forcing the camera to focus and take the shot.
    Track each shot as you do the focus test. You may see a pattern emerge (e.g. perhaps it nails focus when going in one direction to find focus... but misses in another, etc.) Such a pattern might indicate the lens is getting sloppy and needs service (it's usually not worth servicing the 50mm f/1.8 due to it's low cost.) The USM and STM lenses allow full-time manual focus override (even if the lens is auto-focusing). The basic auto-focus motor lenses (like the 50mm f/1.8) do not support this and forcing manual focus without disengaging the focus system can be harmful.

  • Safari out of control in yosemite

    Ever since updating imac, the Safari browser is out of control.  The advertisements are overwhelming and a new tab constantly opens for  mackeeper or other ads.  I am also getting a series of adobe flash player errors saying to change settings to 32-bit mode.  Not sure what to do.

    There is no need to download anything to solve this problem.
    You may have installed the "Downlite" or "VSearch" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
    Back up all data before making any changes.
    Besides the files listed in the support article, you may also need to remove this item in the same way:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
    One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
    If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
    The problem may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
    This malware is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
    In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
    Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
              Install system data files and security updates
    if it's not already checked.

  • Out of control thermocoup​les

    Hey, I've got a weird problem and I'm hoping someone can help. I've been using a program for about 6 months now that basically maintains a cold temperature at one side of a heat sink, and maintains a hot temperature at the other side.  Then I have 25 thermocouples hooked up in between to measure temperatures so I can do analysis on the material in the middle.  My problem is that all of a sudden the thermocouple readings have been out of control and unpredictable.  I was adding automation to the program so it could run multiple tests at once and in the process this problem developed.  The strange part is that the problem is also happening in the old version of the program now too, and that has been working perfectly for the last 6 months.  I have 25 thermocouples hooked up and the temperatures will all look about right, but then 3 to 5 of them will be completely wrong randomly.  What's interesting about this problem is that when I change the thermocouple that the heaters use to maintain the set point temperature, the values that were wrong become right again and some of the other thermocouples start giving invalid data.  The setup uses one NI 9213 and 3 NI 9211 inputs for the thermocouples.  It also uses a NI 9401 to control the heaters through a pulse width modulation electric box we have.  Anyone ever experience something like this or have any ideas?  Thanks for any help

    Have you tried hooking the thermocouples that were giving you bad data back into another port that you were previously getting good data with. This will help you figure out if the problem is the thermocouples or the card inputs. Since you said the issues were fixed by replacing the thermocouples, that makes me think the issue is the thermocouples...but I would still trying plugging the "bad" thermocouples into another port just to see if you still get bad data.
    How do you have your code setup to read the signal? Do you have multiple tasks reading from the different cards, or do you have one task with all the inputs on it? I noticed you are only reading one sample at a time, you may want to try reading multiple samples so that you have a buffer and are less likely to get that error. Also, if you were in highlight execution, then this error would have happened because of the how much highlight execution slows down the program, and not because of an issue with the code. When you debug with DAQmx, data overwrite errors are common. This is mainly because most debugging involves slowing down the execution to see what's going on, but slowing down the execution causes timed events to not function correctly, so this may be the cause of the -200279 error.
