Could not access to Windows 2003 DC. Servers resources.

Hi, I got only 1 PowerBoob G4(Max OS X Tiger 10.4.5)in WindowsSBS 2K3 domain. At PowerBook, I can see all servers, computers on the domain and other workgroup. I also can signon and access to domain computer member (by domain member account) and workgroup Windows 2003 server resources (by this server user account). But the main thing that Windows SBS and Std 2K3 DC. domain servers, this PowerBook could not log on to connect with common error:"The alias 'servername' could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found". The PowerBook get DHCP IP from SBS DHCP and get out to internet. No problem for me to ping from PowerBook to domain servers address, and its even resolve the right server name.
Would you help and give me any guide I can fix this.
Thanks and Regards,
Tony

Hi Brian,
I found out on the link: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20030922153448490
and do the disable both Microsoft Network Server: Digitally Sign Communications (always) and (if client agrees)will fix this case.
Also by Microsoft support, after above step, check and make sure the value of the fowllowing keys is all set to '0' on the SBS Server:

I have the same problem.  ITunes boots up just fine, I can access all my stuff, but when I click on the ITunes store, all my computer says it that iTunes has stopped working- and that Windows will notify me if a solution is available.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and also run computer diagnostics and compatibility tests between my computer and iTunes.  It give me no error code at all.
I've tried to get into the store through menu options as well- like trying to access my account- but anything that has to do with accessing the store shuts the whole program down.

    Hi gingle,
    Meaning of returncode 212 is:
could not access file as supposed (see SLOG for more details)
Is there any error in the corresponding SLOG?
You can find the SLOGxxxx.<SID> under usr/sap/trans/log.

  • Database Studio 7.9.08.09 -  Could not access to user management; Deleting old settings and reinstallation did not bring a change -- database studio deinstallation cannot be performed anymore

    Hi Community,
for a few months I have been struggling with a  SAP Max DB database Studio issue and finally, I had to give up the idea of being able to fix this on my own. I am desperately seeking for help and I hope that you may be able to give me a hint, advice or even a solution.
    This is what happened:
I used to run Windows 7 on 32bit. I also had Database Studio installed - which was running fine then.
After a harware upgrade, I am running now Windows 7 on a 64 bit System. All my files from my local disk (C:\) have been restored and copied onto my new system.
I reinstalled Database Studio Version 7.9.08.09 onto my new System.  But on the first try to start the program I received the error that said "Could not Access to user Management.See Window -> Show View-> Event Log Viewer for more Details."
However the Event Log Viewer was empty.
After searching the web for a solution, I followed the advice given in this community and deinstalled Database Studio and deleted the C.\Users\MyAccount\sdb folder manually.
I reinstalled Database Studio and started it as Administrator.
However, the error is still appearing.
And, what makes it even worse is : now I am not able to uninstall Database Studio anymore.
When I run SAP MaxDB Installation Manager and select the instance of database Studio to be uninstallled I am receiving the error:
"ERR: Unhandled Exception: Can't call method: "GenPackageList" on an undefined value at SDB/Install/Gui/Dialogs/SelectInstance.pm line 328"
    Any advice is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Agnieszka

    Hello Yashwanth,
thank you for your quick Response.
Yes, I downloaded and installed the 64 bit Version of dbstudio.
I downloaded and ran the following .exe file: maxdb-studio-win-64bit-x86_64-7_9_08_09.exe
I am running the following Java-Version:
    Java Plug-in 1.6.0_45
Using JRE version 1.6.0_45-b06 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
I myself am not a SAP customer. However, the Company I am working for is a SAP customer.
Can you explain in Detail, how to create a ticket with SAP?
    Thanks,
    Agnieszka

  • I get an error message when downloading ITunes :could not access the network location %public%\desktop\

I get an error message when downloading ITunes "could not access the network location" %public%\desktop\?

  • ITunes will not install, error message "could not access network location"

I just got a new iPod Classic for Christmas but I have an older Mac so I was going to use an extra PC that we have laying around the house but every time I try to install iTunes, I get this Error:
Could not access network location \\S090100\d$\Data.Backup\C09010009-FDR\My Documents\My Pictures\.
It does not have Error 1606 anywhere on it and it asks me if I want to Retry or Cancel. I have tried EVERYTHING, please help!!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • When i try to install i tunes it goes so far down the installation process then i get a message ' could not access network location %APPDATA%\.  Can any one help.

When i try to install i tunes, it goes so far down the installation process and then comes up with a message ' could not access network location %APPDATA%\.  I then retry and it comes up with the same message.
It also tells me i tunes needs 'Quick Time' to support the software.  I have downloaded Quicktime from i tunes seperately and gone through the whole process again, only to get the same message.
    Can anyone please help?

These kind of messages can often be cleared by using the Microsoft Installer cleanup Utility.
Here is a method for cleanup of your old iTunes installation and reinstall.
    == uninstall with cleanup ==
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime (the one without iTunes)
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Save the files on your PC.
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program. The installer doesn't give any message to confirm the installation.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
(To run the program – All Programs>>Windows Install)
Now use the following method to remove iTunes and its components:
    XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    Vista or Win 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
*If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry*, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.
When you get to deleting Quicktime files in the system32 folder as advised in the method, you can delete any file or folder with Quicktime in the name.
    Restart your PC.
Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
If you don’t see an entry for one of the programs that did not uninstall, look out for blank entries or numeric entries that look like version numbers e.g. 7.x for Quicktime or 1.x for Bonjour.
    restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
    If it does, install iTunes.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.

  • Could not connect to any JRun/ColdFusion servers on host localhost

I am a new CF admin and I am trying to upgrade my Apache.  I am following the instructions in http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Admin/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf364104-7fd9 .html but am getting an error.  Could not connect to any JRun/ColdFusion servers on host localhost
I am running CF8 on Linux Suse and trying to  upgrade apache to version 2.2.22.  I am running apache on server-1 and ColdFuson on server-2.
I tried running the following on server1:
    /data/jrun4/bin/wsconfig -server cf8-2 -ws Apache -bin /data/web3/apache-2.2.22-general-cf/bin/httpd -script /data/web3/apache-2.2.22-general-cf/bin/apachectl -dir /data/web3/apache-2.2.22-general-cf/conf -coldfusion -v
    but got the error.
So then I tried installing apache on server-2 and running:
    /data/cf8/bin/wsconfig -server cf8-2 -ws Apache -bin /data/web3/apache-2.2.22-general-cf/bin/httpd -script /data/web3/apache-2.2.22-general-cf/bin/apachectl -dir /data/web3/apache-2.2.22-general-cf/conf -coldfusion -v
I got the exact same error.
CF is definately up and running.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi Kiran,
Yes, Coldfusion is running and I have root access. You need
to be root just to get the installer to run and to execute the
Apache connector to produce the error I pasted into my message. My
firewall is disabled, as is SELinux. I'm not sure how to "Write
small program to check socket creation..."
I'm reading through some of the tortured things Steven Erat
had to do to get CF7 running on FC6 here:
    http://www.talkingtree.com/blog/index.cfm/2006/12/6/Running-ColdFusion-MX-7-on-Fedora-Core -6-Linux
I suspect I'm running into one of these snags. I was just
wondering if anyone knew if RHEL5 was officially supported yet, or
    more concisely, Apache 2.2?

  • Could not access network location :. help please!

I cannot get APPLE MOBILE DEVICE SUPPORT  uninstalled from my system, when I try to remove it from add/remove programs this is what I get:
Could not access network location :.
All other apple Itunes products I can remove, but not AMDS.
Also when I try to install a fresh copy of itunes it cannot be completed because of the aforementioned issue crops up when trying to install.

That's suggesting damage to the installation database in the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or related installation configuration information), sheena.
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25 2010. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Mobile Device Support entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
