Counter Sales Application

Hello All,
I need a suggestion on creating a counter sales application, Where in we have to create a custom ZVA1-Sales Order Create Screen for the Counter Sales. For eg: If we go to a store and pick up some stuff and u come to the counter and the guy bills you for the stuff u picked up and if there is not enough stuff availabe at the counter then the guy has to pick it up from the warehouse and you will get a cash reciept for the stuff u bought.
The spec say to build the Custom ZVA1-Sales Order Create Screen for the Counter Sales in module pool.
How can i achieve the same functionality using the PORTAL. I think building an interface to create a sales order is not that difficult.
Please suggest or clarify accordingly..
Thank You,
Suresh

If you create a custom transaction in SAP backend for doing your business process - you can just create a transaction iView in portal side to bring up the same screen as it is in portal. So in portal side you will not have to develop any front end or coding - you can consume the whole R/3 end screen.
If you can not use the R/3 screen for any reason - you can develop Web Dynpro application (or normal Portal Java Applications) to interact with R/3 side and do the processing. In this case you would have to expose your custom function modules as RFC enabled BAPI.
I would go with the first option though if possible. As there the coding would be only in one place and you get rid of duplicating screen generation, validation etc due to that.

  • CRM Survey in B2C Internet Sales Application

We have CRM 2007 and are live with B2C Internet Sales Application (ISA). Now we want to make Customer Surveys accessible via B2C ISA.
For security reasons, we do not want our B2C Internet Customers to have access to the CRM system. Therefore the BSP option is ruled out. I have seen some blogs on how to enhance security for BSP option but that is also not approved in our organization so BSP option is totally ruled out.
    SAP help documenation mentions following:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/ee/eaf995082649c6a594511e1f48672d/frameset.htm
    Internet Scenarios
Since Internet users cannot be allowed access to the CRM system for security reasons, surveys have to be made accessible in a different way. You can do this by downloading the required HTML survey to your PC. From here, you can:
Copy the HTML survey into any Web site
Send the HTML survey attached to an e-mail
    Internet Scenarios
In Internet scenarios, results can be returned by the following methods:
    Mailto
In this case, a mail client, for example, Microsoft Outlook, needs to be set up in advance on the client machine. Survey results are sent to a CRM Server Mail User, that is, a u201Cmachineu201D user. From here, the results are routed to the CRM system for further processing.
    http(s)
    Note
The http(s) case is recommended, because the user does not have to have a personal e-mail account. Here, the survey results are first sent to a Survey Mailer. The Survey Mailer receives the http request and then mails the results to the CRM Server Mail User, where they can be processed. The Survey Mailer needs to be set up by the administrator at the customer.
For presenting the Survey on ISA, we would like to take the option of Copy the HTML survey into any Web site as suggested in SAP help and would like to get back the results as per SAP help recommendation of https(s) above.
    We need guidance on follwing
    1. How to download and then copy the HTML surveys into any website (ISA)
    2. Detailed steps that are needed for gettting back the survey results.
By the way...we do understand the survey functionality and have been successful in testing the BSP option so we are not looking for general information.
    Thanks
    Vijay

    Hello Vijay,
Could you please share the information on solution steps used as per the requirement??
I'm working on the similar one.
Your earliest response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Vijay.

  • What is the BO for Over-The-Counter-Sale?

    Hi guys,
I wonder if anybody can tell me where to find the BO in the repository explorer.
    I appreciate your help.
In general it is very difficult to find a BO at all. The customer wants a Workcenterview to be changed, so do I start to make an analyze if the change is possible.
But for the first analayze I need to know the BO. How can I determine this in general, do you have any suggestions for me?
    Thanks in advance
    Erhan

If you need to change a Work Center View, your best bet would be to start with the Configuration Explorer.
There's a number of Over The Counter Sales screens located in SAP_BYD_APPLICATION_UI -> crm -> cinv

  • Counter Sales - Printing Receipt in Local Printer?

    Dear All,
We have a Counter Sales scenario. We are using Quick Sale Order for that.
We have around 14 branches in Dubai, Abhudhabi etc.
When a customer comes to a counter, the sales person will book the order and print a invoice on a preprinted stationary in a dot matrix printer which will be located in each counter.
Our issue is the time consumption of printing in the local printer as the every time a request is run, it will go to the server and comes back.
For example, when a person in Abhudhabi prints a Receipt, the request will come to Dubai ( Since the server is in Dubai) and will print in the local printer.
Is there any way to increase the speed of the printing request?
    Regards
    Merlin Rajesh

The data in the invoice/receipt/order will always have to go from the server to your local printer across the network. Whether direct to your printer from the server, or through your client PC then to the printer.
If the time consumption was inherently caused by the network, you would probably be having serious performance issues.
So my guess is that you are submitting a job to the concurrent manager and the time delay is the time from when you submit the request to when the job actually starts (and completes) then spools to the printer, with the main delay being it waiting in the queue of pending requests. Otherwise it may be how long the print requests are taking to run.
So you need to confirm where problem lies. Check this via the Date Submitted, Date Started and Date Completed on the current request.
If the time delay is between the Date Submitted and Date Started then you could define a new concurrent manager specifically (and only) for handling the print jobs that are time critical via System Administrator > Concurrent Manager > Define (copy the Standard Manager), and create specialization rules that only include your print concurrent programs (Invoice, Receipt). Then on the work shift, change the sleep seconds down to a low value (say 5 or 10 seconds).
PS. An alternative way to do this could be to create a "form" or front end component that gives you the report/format you need in real time, and print directory from your local machine ... but thats gonna take more than 5 minutes to create ;-)

  • SCOM-Difference between Problem Count and Event Count in Application Failure Analysis Report

    Dear All,
Could someone explain me clearly , the difference between  Problem Count and
Event Count in Application Failure Analysis  Report. Please help me in understanding What is meant be problem and event in the report .
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Rajesh Kumar C

    Hello Rajesh,
The "problem" is the logically grouped set of the exception events which have the identical hash calculated over several fields as "Stack", "Source", "Failed Function" and so on... So, even if exceptions are different
in the other properties but hash matches over the considered properties - then all those exceptions go into the same "problem group".
So, event is an instance of the problem. One event contributes to one problem but one problem might have a huge event count if you have a repeating issue.
The logic is similar for the performance analysis report, only fields that go into the "problem" hash are different. e.g. "Stack" is not used in hash for perf events...

  • Message Count in application log of a job

After running mass job (example: EA29 - Mass processing of bill printout), there is an option to display the application log.  The application log shows counts for the following: "Success Message", "Statistical Data", "Information", "Normal Error".
Are these counts stored somewhere like a database table?

    Hi Blumtain,
You can find logs in the database with the function module BAL_DB_SEARCH.
You pass the log header filter criteria (structure BAL_S_LFIL), and a table of log headers (structure BALHDR) which satisfy the criteria is returned. You can pass this to the function module BAL_DB_LOAD, which loads these logs into memory.

  • CRM Mobile Sales Application : HTTP Communication Failure ERROR

    Hi All,
I am trying to build a CRM mobile application in the Windows mobile.
the steps that we have followed are:
    1. Activated and generated the Standard CRM mobile software component MAS_SMARTPHONE_DMSCV
    2. Created the same Users in the CRM and DOE system
    3. Set up windows mobile simulator
    4. Created data in the CRM backend and performed initial download in the DOE.

  • Internet Sales application 2007 - Best Practice

    Hi Gurus
Has anyone completed a successful CRM 2007 Internet Sales (ISA not ICSS) configuration exercise.
If anyone has completed the set-up please could you inform me of the documents you referenced in order to achieve this.
    Many Thanks
    Babu.

SAP has confirmed to me that there is NOT a CRM6/7 ISA Best Practices guide.
We used the C14_BB_ConfigGuide from our CRM4 Best Practices install and made some assumptions on what had changed.  I do not think this is still available here and am not sure if I am able to send it to anyone.  Someone from SAP or an Admin can tell us.
I also found here the following docs that have bits and pieces of the puzzle.
ECO_Authorizations.CRM5.0  - I think I found this on Sateesh's site, but probably a link around here for it. - CRM E-Commerce Authorizations

  • BDoc changes are not reflected in mobile sales application

    Hi guys
I am trying hard but I do not get it to work with MSA 6.0 SP2 / 5.0 SP11:
    - I have changed Query BDocs in CRM Online
    - I am synching the BDocs using the BDoc Synch against the correct system / client
    - I am synchronizing metadata with the client console
-> The tpsfile directory content is up to date
    - I am doing a full generation and a complete build
-> my dll's are completely regenerated
    - I am calling the correct application (BOL and UI changes are reflected).
But none of my BDoc changes arrive on the client?Acutally, one week ago somehow some changes were reflected, but I do not know why and now nothing is synchronized at all.  Seems to be very strange ... anyone an idea?
    Regards
    Kai

    Hi,
since 5.0 the query BDoc definitions are not saved along with the TPS.NET file but with the ARSREP.DAT.
The TPS.NET file contains only the data for sBDocs.
The steps after modifying qBDocs are:
    - synchronizing the BDoc/s within Dev Studio
    - generating the BOL
But it seems you did all these steps already...
I remember there are some tools like metadataviewer? Did you already check with these tools whether the generation succeded?

Please share your Lookout to LabVIEW conversion tests, successes and/or failures with this forum community.  Lookout's days are numbered and we need to see if NI is meeting our needs for the next generation operating system(s) (Vista, in my case).

ok. let me tell you that Lookout 6.1 will be released, which will support Vista.
The Lookout developers are just waiting for the Vista release and we need to do more tests on that.
