Coupons at Sub-Category Level
Hi Everyone,
I have a customer who would like to create coupons or promotions at the Sub-Category level, rather than at the parent category. Is this possible? In the drop-down I am only seeing the Parent level, so I was just curious. Please let me know.

Sorting of Sum Totals at category & sub category levels in Answers
I have a requirement where i need to sort by $$ within a category and sub category, first i need to show the highest YTD $$ under the category with total & the sub categories also should be sort as given in the example, GM having the highest value is in top, in the same way AT&T having the highest value is at the top.

I am able to achieve this if i do it at the Category level, and the sub category is sorted in alphabetical order and not by YTD $$ and the moment i add the sorting to the Sub category, it shows category & the sub category totals as individual line items instead of single category & multiple sub-categories .

Let me try to show the requirement here again as in the last mail somehow the format was not correct. The text in bold refers to the Category & the text in italics refers to the sub category.

The category with the largest total should be at the top and within the category, the sub category with the max $$ should be at the top. -
Web app: How can I make a web app input form post directly to a sub category
Please, how can I go about this? Some of the ideas coming to my head is to replace the section I require with the generated webapp input form code with this:

If you use the module {module_categorylist} only. BC will populate all the categories on the BC site, instead of a specific category relevant to the web app. If it is {module_categorylist, categoryID}, you are telling BC to use the the categories in a specific category.
When you say that you want to assign a web app item to a sub-category... do you mean the built in BC categories . I want to do this via the web app input form not through the admin.
Do you have a top-level category that contains all the relevant sub categories that the user could use to classify/categorize the web app item upon submission? Yea I have a top category that the user could use. It is this top-level category ID, I have used with the categorylist module.
If you don't want the user to choose the sub-category themselves, how do you plan to derive the sub-category anyway? Thanks again Trickster. You have provided the solution to that with the hidden input field code you shared earlier. The sub-category has been pre setup as usual in BC and the sub-category ID would be used as you instructed in the code. This is intended for another web app that won't require users selecting a category. This is the example you shared:

Using my example above I was able to test and have it working (using {module_categorylist} with the SELECT element) on a web app input form and when I submitted the new web app item it was classified in the category I chose. Yes Trickster, it works for me too that way. the web app item was classified perfectly, but if you go to your the web app item submitted at the admin-end, you will discover in that the category the user selected in the front-end is not selected, even though the item was classified

The option selected by the user is not captured. It often defaults to the 2012, even when the user selected 2013 and the item has been classified as 2013.

We want to create work order via Sub-Inventory level planning as standard program 'min-max planning report' is nor creating WIP Jobs at sub-inventory level.

OrgChart 3.0 SP1 - Sub Category Groups configuration?
According to the Admin Guide the Sub Category Groups configuration in Admin Console would allow me to group similar records within the same org chart box. I assume the Sub Category Filter will define the criteria for sorting the records but there is no description / example/ guidance on what the syntax should be for this field. 2 different results I would like to achieve are:
(1) to list names of multiple incumbents for one position in a box, rather than simply showing the phrase "multiple incumbents".
(2) to hide the whole group of multiple incumbents for a position, based on the Employee Group.

I would suggest that you apply a filter to the data element. You can do this in the AdminConsole via OrgChart > Positions > Data Connection (that is "Positions" directly under "Organization Structure"). Add a filter, such as:
where EmpGrp != '9'
You can also do this for the Employees hierarchy too ( OrgChart > Employees > Data Connection ).
Please note that the field for exclusion must be a hierarchy field, i.e. it must exst in the list of Fields under OrgChart > Positions > Fields. You may have to change the data element configuration file in order to achieve this.

Blanket Purchase Order or Contract Purchase Order by item Category level

I have a requirement that Strategic buyers will fill agreement with supplier by item Category level
Agreement will be on Price level and will have expiration date
The category level will contain list of items Part numbers which are the same item from technically :
Our business is on the electronics contract manufacturing and we are producing for Customers from the High Tech industry .In order to keep each customer process and unique

Each night we running MRP run (ASCP) and the Planner release Planned order to request ion
The requirement is that the purchase requisition will derive the price from the agreement based on assigned Category level and will automatically convert to Purchase order
Looking for your advise how can this be implemented ?
ThanksWhen you release the Planned Order for the these buy items the cost coming up in the table PO_REQUISITIONS_INTERFACE_ALL will be the list price for the item from Org level.
But when you have a BPO created for this item and Sourcing rule is created to have automatic release the releases will have the unit price coming from the BPO.
Correct me if I understood your question wrongly.

SharePoint 2010 View Group By Category and Sub-Category
I have a document Library with Category and Sub-Category columns. In the view I am grouping by Category and then Sub-Category. However, most of the documents do not have a Sub-Category. My desired result would be that the document would appear underneath
the Category. However, if no Sub-Category is assigned then SP creates a generic Sub-Category and puts the document there. It should look something like this:
Category : Main Category
Document-1
Document-2
Sub-Category : Sub Category
-Document-3
-Document-4
Instead it is Creating a generic SubCategory:
Category : Main Category
Sub-Category : (1)
-Document-1
-Document-2
Sub-Category : Sub Category
-Document-3

How to create Sub- Category tags in PSE 12?
I want to be able to create Sub- Category tags in PSE 12 without using the map view. I have tags United States with sub- categories South Carolina and Charleston. I had no problem doing this in PSE11.
I found a very convoluted solution to creating a Places sub-category keytag in PSE12. First I created a new tag by placing an image on a map (using search). The resulting tag created a specfic location such as a street address. I then renamed the new tag with city name. The renamed tag can then be applied to all other desired and selected images. This is much more difficult than in PSE 11. Is there an easier way?

The onhand quantity at sub inventory level it is not showing correctly
For an item the org level quantityt is showing correctly but at sub inventory level it is not showing correctly.
1)For an item org level the avilablty as below :
On Hand / Avail to Reserve / Avail to Transact are

STAGING 7 7 7
STORES 0 0 0
2) Created an Sales order with quantity 5 ,then STAGING decreased by 5 which is correct.

3) Shipping Transaction not completed,Received 4 into Stores – Staging avail increased by 6 and even STORES also increased by 4 . Here we do not understand why STAGING increased to 6.

You can create a confirmations using CO11N for sub-operations, but you can only confirm hours, not yield quantity. The yield quantity requried to be confirmed in the operation. You can partially or fully confirm sub-operations.
Enter the order number, sub -operation number all the related data will be displayed execpt greyed quantity fields.
Can you see the "sub-operation" entry field below "oper./activity" in CO11N ?

Is revenue and invoice at sub-task Level possible?
Is there anyway to generate revenue and invoice at sub-task level. Per Oracle standard we can do it project level or top task level but just want to check if there is anyway to do it at sub-task level. Even if through customization please let me know.
Hi
You may consider using billing extensions that will separate the invoices by sub tasks. However, to acheive that you will need to run in a loop the GDI for the same project. After first invoice is generated with only one sub task. you will need to approve and release it, and only than you could go on and run GDI again for the next sub task, and so on.
If the company agree that draft invoices will be automatically approved and released, you might consider using the automatic release client extension, to facilitate the cycles.
In order to get a separate invoice per sub-task you should develop an extension that will be called on PRE-Processing place.
That extension will check the available unbilled expenditures and verify if there are EI's in more than one sub-task. If so, select first sub-task and put one-time hold on all other sub-tasks' expenditures.
The extension for automating approval/release of invoices is called by GDI after the draft invoice is fully prepared. You can
develop your own logic for the conditions where invoice should be approved or released.
Just note, if you leave several invoices as approved, you will need to release them by the order they were created.
In the example of multiple sub-tasks on the project, the pre processing billing extension will leave EI's on sub-task 1, and all other tasks' expenditures will be put on one-time hold. Those the draft invoice will include only the sub-task 1 transactions.
The next GDI in the loop will not find sub-task 1 transactions, so it will pick sub-task 2 and all remaining transactions on other sub-tasks will be put on one-time hold. The second draft will include only sub-task 2 transactions.
The next GDI in the loop will not find sub-task 1 and sub-task 2 transactions. Therefore, next draft invoice will include the next sub-task. When no more sub-tasks'' transactions are available the draft invoice gets empty.
The automation can go further if you have many projects with that same requirement. You may develop a custom program that call the GDI in a loop for a single project, untill there is nothing more to bill there, then go on and call GDI in a loop for the next project, etc.

First of all, can you clarify if you want to update the rate category - Is it at the Installation Level or at the Device Level.
For updating the rate category at the installation level, go to Business object INSTLN,and then make the necessary changes in Change Installation without dioalog.Pass the input parameters as required for the Method.

Second sub-site level horizontal navigation
In SharePoint 2013 Enterprise, I have a publishing site collection on a master page build with the Design Manager. The global top-level navigation contains links to various sub-sites. Their desire is to have a horizontal sub-site navigation underneath the

What is the best practice way of adding a 2nd sub-site level navigation?
Also, as an option, would this solution work in a custom page layout file?I was able to accomplish this by first creating a SharePoint List of Titles and URLs (text field) for the secondary navigation, and then generating the <ul> using the SPServices jQuery library inside of a custom page layout. Alternatively, this secondary
nav could be embedded into a Content Editor or inside a Master Page rather than a Page layout, but this suited my client's business case the best.
