Cprojects RPM bapi_bus2175_get_detail
Hi Guys ,
When i run the bapi_bus2175_get_detail i do not get any results populated in e_roleassingment table. i get the values in authorizations table. The actual finish date is also returned in odd formate. i am trying to get the users that can be assigned to the task and the actual finish date.
Can any one please run this bapi in their system and the results . i want to check if this is a bug in our version of RPM.
Points will be awarded for all helpful answers.
Thanks,
Chandra.
Hey,
Could you kindly share how this was resolved. Even I need to fix a similar issue.

RPM-cProjects-PS Complete Integration...
We are on cProjects-RPM 4.5. We have the accounting system/PS along with CPR-RPM in the same system.
This is how we have set the integration:
- create RPM item. This creates the cProjects Project automatically
- setting the cProjects Project to "Flag for transfer" creates the PS Project
From here on, we need to carry fruther with the following:
- We intend to post costs and revenues (both planned and actual to the WBS elements in PS)
- We intend to bring these costs (and revenues) under appropriate financial views in RPM, under Financial Planning
Please advise.Hi,
is there any link for RPM-cProjects-PS Complete Integration?
Thanks & regards

How to find RPM Portfolio Item related to cProject
Hi Folks,

CProjects to IO, IO to RPM - costs not showing up
Hi,
Having created an internal order from cProjects, I can see the costs in IO.
To start with, costs from cProjects Role-Task assignment is all I am trying with (using role rates).
Simultaneously, I have created the Finance Categories, Groups, and Views in RPM.
I have tried a few juggleries to bring this cost under a finance view in RPM. Not through yet.
I have run the programs that fetch this IO cost into RPM. But the link doesn't seem to have been estd. and therefore, though the program shows all green, it says there's no cost in the db to fetch.
What all should I have completed before I get this through?
Thanks...HI Deepak
Please advise how you got the planned costs to show up in PS.
I face the same issue now.
I have exactly the same settings as you have PS06 on both sides.
However, when i look at ECP in PS, it requests a planning form and no planned data is being pulled through, its just blank.
I am not sure what i could be missing, is a costing model mandatory ?
Please advise soonest.
thanks

Message MOPZ_CHECK107 with RPM and cProjects
Hi all,
I'm using SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 SPS26. I want to upgrade our ERP EHP3 system to EHP5. I'm running a MOPZ session and I get following errors:
Successor installed for SAP XRPM 4.0.
Successor installed for SAP CPROJECT SUITE 4.00
In fact SAP cProject Suite 4.50 is installed here.
I already saw a similar problem in this forum (Error in maintenance optimizer), but it doesn't help me. I tried to apply recommendations of SAP note 1495419, without success.
Our ERP EHP3 system is currently defined in SMSY like this:
- SAP ERP 6.0, with SAP ECC Server marked as relevant and SAP cProject Suite marked as also installed;
- EHP3 FOR SAP ERP 6.0, with Central Applications marked as relevant;
- SAP CPROJECT SUITE 4.50, with cProject Suite with WFM Core marked as relevant;
- SAP RPM 4.5, with RPM Core marked as relevant.
Logical component Z_ERP (ERP 6.0) is in our solution.
I also tried to use the Landscape Verification Tool (transaction LVSM), then ran a new MOPZ, but without success.
Any suggestion is welcome.
Kind regards,
ChristopheHi,
for the error - Successor installed for SAP CPROJECT SUITE 4.00
try this solution:
- Remove first SAP RPM, SAP CProjects Suite 4.50 and SAP Portf and Proj Mang 5.0 from the system.
- Now, add only CProjects Suite 4.50 and while adding, say "NO" when this window with respect to Product Assignment appears. Save the system.
- Now, add SAP Portf and Proj Mang 5.0 and save the system.
Run a new MOPZ transaction and it should work.
Regards,
Mohan. -
Open projects conversion RPM Items / cProjects and Business Partner
Guru's,
Do we have any SAP standard delivered objects for projects upload conversion (from excel sheets for example) for RPM Items and cProjects ? Please provide information, we have about 1000 to convert. We also have a custom tab for attributes, so wondering how to convert them without manual keyboard entries of each project.
Also, Business partners for RPM, do we have any BAPI available ?
thanks in advance ...
- RPM/cProject newbieThe bad news is that we had to write our own custom program to upload RPM items though we used SAP provided function modules /RPM/ITEM_MODIFY, /RPM/ACL_MODIFY, /RPM/DECISION_POINT_MODIFY, /RPM/FIN_GROUP_MODIFY
/RPM/CAP_GROUP_MODIFY, /RPM/SAVE_CHANGES ). -
Upload projects from cProjects to RPM
Hi RPM experts,
My client is working with cProjects(linked to PS) , but now they are thinking about using RPM. How should we upload existing projects from Cproject to RPM in order to they are linked?
Is it needed first creat the item and then linked to cproject or can they be uploaded and created automatically?
We have seen this function /RPM/CP_UPLOAD, Is it the correct one?
Thanks everyone for your help!!
SaraHi Sara,
This is another way to achieve the Project Upload to cProject. You can create a link between existing cProject and an existing item. Then you can upload the PS project to cProject and Item through RPM application.
For you next query about the mass creation of Item.
you have two options
1) Via Portal. Using Multiple Items create functionality
2) Via RPM_DX transaction, where you can prepare an excel sheet with basic details of the items to be created and upload this excel via this transaction, by selecting appropriate options on the selection screen.
With these two options you can create multiple Items at a time.
Hope this answers your query.
Thanks and Regards,

CProjects And RPM 5.0 with NWBC
Hi,
Why is FPM used as the framwork with NWBC for cProjects And RPM 5.0. Can any other frameworks be used for cPro and RPM 5.0 with NWBC? What is the technical feasibility of using FPM with NWBC??
Thanks And Regards,
Anu ShrinidhiHi,
several answers to your inquiry:
You can use SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 with
- NWBC for HTML
- NWBC for Desktop
- SAP Enterprise Portal.
SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 uses FPM (FloorPlan Manager), that's right, but this is not depending on NWBC (nor vice versa).
The UI guidelines valid for SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 are the same as for the current release of the whole SAP Buisness Suite, FPM usage is one part of this guideline.
It is not possible to use SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 without FPM (at least not without big modifications).
"SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0" is the successor of "cProjects 4.5" and "SAP RPM 4.5". This is the official name. There is no product or application called "cProjects 5.0" or "SAP RPM 5.0".
For features, functions, concepts, etc. of FPM; please echk the FPM SDN Forum:

CProjects to Internal Order - settlement rule
Hi,
Having created an IO from cProjects, I get to see accouting error. Control Cockpit shows "No settlement rule exists for the Order ...".
Going further, this error is coming in the way of the planned costs getting to IO, and subsequently the IO costs coming up in Fin Planning, in RPM.
Please advise on the steps to correct the settlement rule issue. Resolving one issue is likely to solve many of my issues!
Thanks.Yes. You cannot delete.
If you want to use this new distribution rule from here onwards (means from this period ..) it is possible.
Do the following
1. For old distribution rule (i.e. for old cost center ) change the "valid to period" last month. You can directly change this by clicking the settlement rule in the order master data.
2. For new distribution rule give "valid from period" whatever you want (future periods).
So that you need not delete the old distribution rule.. and from this month onwards your new distribution rule will work.

PS Project not appearing in cProjects Accouting tab
I am able to create the PS Project from cProjects through status management (Flag for transfer) after the required accounting intergation and other configurations.
However, I have a concern when I am linking an existing PS project to a newly created RPM Item and cProjects Project.
I carried out the following:
1. Created a PS Project with a WB Structure
2. Created an RPM Item (with auto creation of cProjects Project)
3. Under the item, uploaded the PS Project created under step 1, to the item
4. Saved the upload
Result:
The PS Project structure is replicated in the cProjects operational project.
Concerns:
We now want to synchronize the accounting aspects in PS from cProjects Project (like we do when we mark a cProjects project to "Flag for transfer"). However, the newly linked PS project does not appear under the "Accounting" tab in cProjects.
Please advise.
Summary:
Having linked an exisiting PS project to a new created item and cProjects project, we want the operation to continue as if the PS project was created by flagging the cProjects project.
Thanks.Thanks... this helps me get to a part of the problem.
Now that I have RPM item and a cProjects project linked to a PS project, I can manually link the cProjects tasks stc. to the PS WBS elements as relevant.
In such a case, how will "Falg for Transfer" imopact this project? I mean, whereas "Flag for transfer" in other cases create a new PS project which we can see under the accounting tab, what happens when we set this status after we have manually linked the cProjects project to a PS Project. Also, how does the accounting updates take place in this scenario (from the cProjects front end)?
Thanks... -
Hello All,
I am trying to build an interface between RPM and DMS. (We have the cProjects to DMS interface configured and working fine).
Can someone please point us in the right direction?
I have been trying to utilize 0RPMDOCUMENT object link for this purpose, but not sure how to make that work.
Thanks for your guidance.
We are following the document 'How To Implement Object Links for SAP Portfolio and Project Management' and trying to build the scenario.

Edited by: Gaurav Shah on Feb 13, 2012 2:58 PMGaurav,
Mention the RFC destination in Destination field and make the object link Active by checking the option Active.
Note that if PPM and ECC both are in same instance mention RFC destination as None.
If relevant RFC destination is not available, check with Basis team.
Additionally, mention you web server if you want to launch ECC transactions through ITS server.

RPM Project Upload Performance
Hi,
We are using RPM for the first time and users are noticing very slow performance when uploading projects into the system. It is taking approx 20 minutes to upload 150 projects. We are on RPM 4.5 with BW 7.00. We don't have cProjects installed. I have two questions around this:
1) What are the speeds of uploads that other people are seeing?
2) Is there anything we can do to speed up our uploads? It does not take any length of time for one particular step but each project is going through numerous reads/inserts to create the project.

CProjects and Sales Order link
Hi,
We are currently using cProjects for the purpose of Resource allocation. As a part of process, projects are primarily created in SAP and they automatically gets created in cProjects. However, the management has now decided to use it for tracking Revenues against these projects. I have done the necessary changes in the Object Link and the Sales Orders can now be searched manually at all the levels i.e the Project Definition, Phase and the Task level. However, can somebody let me know that
How can all the Sales Orders created in SAP automatically gets. linked with the cProjects in EP.
Secondly, currently all Sales Orders can be linked to any cProjects irrespective of the fact whether the Sales Order carries that particular project or not. Is there a check that only line items with the relevant WBS gets linked in cProjects.
Waiting for your reply at the earliest.
Thanks & Regards,
GauravHi,
it is possible to update the object link automatically with a newly created sales order....however, you have to more or less build this yourselves...
(we have this working in our own RPM 4.5 system!)
