Create Item Through OPM Item Master Error

Hi,
Error Message pop-up when trying to save item "OFTG_NO_PROFILE_VALUE".
We are Oracle Applications 11.5.9, OPM Patch level J.

After creating the item , if set the view instance to ProjectBasicInfoVO and view attrinute = Attribute1.
As Attribute1 value is passing as parameter. So it will work

R12.1.1 Item Master Organization Calender field is disabled

HI,
While creating Item Master Organization in R12.1.1, calender field is disabled. I have defined & built workday calender but field is disabled while creating Inventory Org. I couldn't find any reason on metalink as well.
Can any one guide me about the issue ?

Assign value from Item Master Org to Child Org

Hi guys i have created item master org and assign it some items,now i have create a child organization .now am going to miscellaneous transaction and want a transaction but my child organization item list is empty.please help me how i can assign master org item to child org

Hi,
You just need to go to the master item form, select the item/s, and click on Tools > Organization Assignment... That will take you to a rom where you can assign the item to any child organization. Hope it helps.

Error while importing Item Master data through DTW

Hi Sandy,
Kindly follow the check list
1. Right Click DTW and run it as Administrator.
2. Is your DTW version is same as SAP B1.
3. Uninstall and re-install DTW.
4. If you are using 64-bit DTW, try to use 32-bit one.
5. Check the Template, is it of the same DTW version.
6. Remove all the unnecessary columns.
7. Last try different Template extension.. (e.g: CSV (Comma delimited), or Text (Tab delimited))

Error while importing Item MAster Data using DTW

Hi,
when we are importing item master data using items template
it is giving error.
Error:":connected value 1 was not found "
can any one send the oitems template that is working fine wthout any error.

You cannot import data prepration templates>>Testcase1_Test Data for Import function>Oitems directly.
You will have to do certain prerequisites like setting CommissionGroup, CommissionPercent, CommissionSum,CustomsGroupCode etc., in SAP before importing Items.
So I would like you to try out with minimum fields in the template and import. After understanding, you can import the required fields.
I suggest you to use the template from "C:\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\oItems"

Newly created item through personalization not visible

Hi All,
I have added on new item , in a page,
Howerver when I clicked apply on that item , once I define the required properties of the item.
I am getting this error
"Attachment item "%ITEM" has been created successfully, however, it does not have an Entity Map associated with it. To avoid a runtime error, please either create an Entity Map for this attachment item, or delete attachment item "%ITEM"."
I am not able to locate that item , anywhere * either in personalzied page nor in application page

I have gone to personalize page -> selected LOVRN -> create item ->
level - Site
Item Type - MessageLOVInput
Prompt - some custom prompt
Id - some custom id
External LOV- given exisitng seeded path for LOV with region name in the last
apply .
Then the error appeared as

After the above steps complete. I have again gone to personalization ->complete view . But I am not able to locate the item created in above mentioned steps.
One thing to note, I have tried creating new item , however everytime I am getting the above error after clicking on apply. In one occasion I have given incomplete path in the external LOV field mentioned above.(i.e. I forgot to mention the region Name )
Please help....

Please download the newest patch from SAP Service Portal and upgrade your system.
After upgrading the patch, you can import your Item Master Data without having to fill field relating to Excisable.
By the way, the newest patch does not expose the API relating to Excisable field, but system will not force to import Excisable data.

Item master not updating DTW error

well i am updating my item master, i just want to change two field, one field is "SET G/L accounts" and other one is item group, right now it is "By Item Level" for items and i want to convert this into "By Item Group" for this purpose i am using DTW but DTW throwing one error(which is related to conversion of SET G/L account),to solve that error what i did , i just change that field manually, but the number of items is too large so what i did i just run the query to update all items but still dtw is throwing same error for the item which i update by query, so what should i do now ?? i have to change all items manually ??

Hi,
You should never try run query to update anything. That is too dangerous. You are risking losing SAP support!
It sound like your db is new. In that case, better to restore to the old backup to do everything right from the beginning. Hope it is still not too late.

Hi Jeyakanthan,
here is an example (put the like statement into the where field)
SELECT T0.CardCode, T0.CardName FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.CardName Like '%%test%%'
The %% sign is a wildcard. If you need start with write 'test%%' and otherwise ends with '%%test'. For contains you need '%%test%%'. You also could combinate this statements like 'test%%abc%%'. This means starts with test and contains abc.

Please refer sample template to get an idea for mandatory field.
C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Samples\1. Add New Data\Inventory\Item Master Data
For item master data, only item code is mandatory when you are adding new item.

While Creating Sales order Item pricing error is coming........

I have just given all values in VA01 not saved at tht time and before saving i go the Extras -->Output ---> Header -> Print Preview----> i got the form then i back to the screen ... now i save sales order but it giving error " Item Pricing error" if i click on item pricing error button it goes to the sap first screen.
could you please help me in this......

May be fault items where there is no pricing or so.
Check all items and reprice them before save. if they are ok then go to MV45AFZZ and check save document prepare and save document user exits for the message. Also check form and print program.
Last but not least, get the message number and class for the message then go where used list for that message.
Mostly, this message is populated in user exits.

Item Interface error - "The Cost of Sales Account specified is not a valid"

A week back we migrated from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3
Since then, many items are failing in Item Interface with the error "The Cost of Sales Account specified is not a valid account or has expired in organization ITEM MASTER INV."
Item Master being the 'Inventory master organization'. I checked the cost of sales account & sales account. and they are Valid also their corresponding segments are valid in their respective value sets.

The Cost_of_sales_account & Sales_account as defined in the MTL_PARAMETERS are different from those in MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B for the corresponding item. The values for these accounts in the interface tables are same as that in the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B table and hence not same as those defined in MTL_PARAMETERS.
Actually we have a Custom trigger on the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B table which updates these accounts, once the item is created in the Master Organization.
To verify this issue, I updated the accounts on the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE table to match with that of MTL_PARAMETERS. Ran the 'Item Import', now those records are processed.
Does this means that, the Interface is validating the cost_of_sales_account & sales_account to match with that of the 'Organization' ??.
But we never had this issue in 11i. Is this a part of R12??

Set item master value in UDF

Dear All,
I have created 1 UDF in Item master Title level.
Ex UDF1= 14A. This is already stored with the Item master data in DB.
I have created another UDF2 in invoice at row level.
Now i want UDF1 value to be displayed at run time in UDF2 when the item is selected.
