Creating a link to specific view in a submitted InfoPath form via C#

Hello,
I have an InfoPath form that is submitted by a user, then the c# executes logic on a button click which is to send approver a link to a approver view within the submitted form(my company is
not allowing use of Work flows).
I have a problem creating this link namely because SharePoint changes the patter of a string that is used in creating a form name(Username and now() function characters change
in URL).
Is there an easy way to reference an url to a view in Infopath form via C#

Create view link between two view objects (from programmatic data source)

Hi Experts,
Can we create a link between two view objects (they are created from programmatic datasource ; not from either entity or sql query). If yes how to create the link; ( i mean the like attributes?)
I would also like to drag and drop that in my page so that i can see as top master form and the below child table. Assume in my program i will be only have one master object and many child objects.

Easiest way to do this is to add additional transient attributes to your master view object, and then include those additional transient attributes in the list of source attributes for your view link. This way, you can get BC4J to automatically refer to their values with no additional code on your part.

Cant compile proc with OWB created DB Links - appear to loopback ?!!

We're on Oracle 9.2 with OWB 9.2 and have the following scenario:
We have two databases: DB1, DB2
Both databases have a schema STAGING
Both schemas have a table ADDRESS.
The ADDRESS table on DB1 has columns CITY, STATE, ZIP while the ADDRESS table on DB2 just has CITY, STATE
We have a stored proc on DB2 that is trying to select the ZIP field on the DB1 across a database link called DB1@SERVER1. The exact code is:
select zip into v_zip from address@db1@server1;
The compiler fails because with the error that ZIP does not exist. If I change the column to STATE it compiles successfully, leading me to believe the compiler is verifying the code against the local db and not across the link....
Furthermore, if I run the offending sql via a sqlplus it crosses the link and works!... it appears to only be affecting compile time.
I believe this has something to do with loopback links, but I haven't been able to solve it...
Can anyone explain this behavior?!

Actually I dont understand why OWB generates so strange name for db link. After your post Ive revisited my projects to see if there is any inconsistencies in generated db link name within mapping PLSQL code and db link name itself.
There is one at least for me in PLSQL db links name is like <db_instance_name>@owb_location_name, but in DBLINKS db link name looks like:
db_instance_name.db_domain@owb_location_name. I must say its quite a trick for me how Oracle matches this two names, considering quotes and db_domain. Anyway, it works fine for me.
By the way, two databases of yours are result of cloning one of them? If you are sure that real symptom is db link loop back look at Net configurations.
Try to have a look at DBLINKS maybe youll find some mismatches. As a try drop created db links and try to redeploy them, make additional tests via sqlplus, verify db_domain for both databases, check sqlnet.ora/tnsnames.ora on both databases.

Create a link to a specific spot in PDF document

Is it possible to create a link from a Table of Contents item to a specific heading on a page within the same document. So far from what I've read and what I've tried I can only link to a specific page but not a specific section on that page. Is that possible? If so how to I do that? It's basically the same idea as HTML anchor links within the same HTML page. So if you have a links up top you can create named anchors for the destination spot later on down the page. I tried using the destinations in Acrobat also but it seems to also only point to the page, not the specific area on a page.
If anyone knows if that's possible, could you either show me how to do it or point me to a tutorial online that shows how to do that. I've searched and searched but just cannot seem to find anything. Maybe I'm not using the right keywords to search.

You can either link to an existing named destination or a view that you establish when you create the link. A named destination is a combination of a page and the view settings (e.g., fit width, fit visible, 200% zoom and scrolled 1/4 way down the page, etc.)
When you add a new named destination, go to the page you want and set up the display of the page to what you want. Give the named destination a meaningful/descriptive name.
When you create the link that you want to target a named destination, select an action of "Go to a page view" and set it to the current view. You then have to go and edit the action and select "Use Named Destination" and select from the list of named destinations in the document.
You do not need to set up named destinations to link to a specific area of a page, but they are helpful when linking from other documents or systems, particularly if the document that's linked to changes with any frequency.
To set up the same type of link without using named destinations, just add a new link and when you're presented with the "Create Link" dialog, select "Go to a page view" and navigate to the corresponding page, set the view you want, and click the "Set Link" button.

Creating links to specific area in a PDF

I want to create a link to go to a specific text area in my one-page PDF... not allowing anything outside of this specified area to be filled unless you click on this link. Does anyone know how to do this?

Creating a link to a specific area is very easy. Make a button and set its action to "Go to page view", then go to the area (you can even set the zoom level you want) and set the link.
Preventing the user from leaving that area is not possible.

1. MII Menu -- go to Data servers and click new button for adding new connection, there it will ask for type of connection
2. Fill the all required fields which has mentioned in that screen.

         connection type: Lotus
         Dateprefix : '
         DateSuffix: '
         DaysRetention: 7
         internalDateFormat: yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss (your wish)
         JDBCDriver: Ask Lotus Adminstrater( he will provide)
         MaxretryCount: 5
         Password: Ask Lotus Administrator( he will provide)

         SeverPackage: com.sap.xmii.Illuminator.connectors.<Type of Connection>
         serverURL: Ask Lotus Adminstrater( he will provide)
         Timeout, UseCount: (upto you)
         UserName: Ask Lotus Adminstrater( he will provide)
         Validationquery: select sysdate from dual
         Waittime: (Upto you)
Then save it and click the status. If its fine, it shows the status running or error.
If shows error, check the JDBCDriver, ServerURL, Username and password.
After all this, you can see this in Connection Status and in MII Workbench.

Are you clicking the "view result" link? If so, the CHM should simply open. However, there are a host of things that can go wrong along the way and to figure out what may be happening we need to ask all sorts of questions.
Did you click View Result after it finished? If so, what happened? An error? Nothing? What?
Where are you attempting to compile the help? When you look at the properties of your Single Source Layout recipe, where are you pointing the output folder to? What is the file name?
Are you able to open and view other CHM files? Do you know what a CHM file is?
As you can see, there are many questions to answer. And probably others I failted to think of.

Create a link to a specific page, on the disc

Ok. I am creating a PDF that will need buttons to link to specific pages in other PDFs.
I know how to do this if the PDFs are online but the boss needs a 'dvd delivered' SOOOooooo...
-Root
Main PDF (with button)
   -subfolder
    Target PDF (page 3)
    Target PDF (page 12)
    etc....
Would it be the on release -> open file -> ??
I tried doing open file: and added #page=2 to the end of the line. Not successful.

Possible solution?
During a chat with a friend; we talked about it was not dependent on the browser (trying to figure if IE or FF was the problem) and I said, "It's not the browser causing the issue" well.. that led me to think "use the flippin browser then!"
Process/Work Around;
On the final DVD I will make a simple HTML web page that is nothing more than a billeted list of hyper links to all the PDFs that will be referenced save it as a web page in a sub-folder and presto... my 'website' is on the disc. Now instead of the open file failure, I'll use the goto HTML..blah blah...=page#2 code that works!

How to create navigational links...and connect views of another component

I am new to SAP CRM...
I have a requirement where i need to navigate from the main window of a component to the view of a different component.
Scenario:
When i click on edit button after selecting a line item in the assignment block in the BT111H_OPPT/Details ,it should navigate to the details page of the line item which is the view of another component that has been created .say ZRP/PEL.
How can i achieve this using the concept of inbound/outbound plugs and navigational links?
I have got a vague idea on plugs from my search...that these are entry/exit points to views.
But what is the procedure to follow to attain the functionality?
How do we decide on which component needs which all plugs?
Anyhelpful pointers would be rewarded.
Also, an idea on what exactly does the inbound/outbound plugs do and how is the flow happening , how are navigational links working etc would be appreciated.

Steps to create navigational link:
1.     Create an outbound plug in the component from where you want to navigate. Sometimes
                standard navigational links are already there.. you just need to identify it.
2.     Create a Component usage in runtime repository for target component.
3.     Add this component usage to the main window view in repository.
4.     Create navigation link between the transaction type and the target component view.
5.     In the outbound plug, use the view manager to navigate to the target component. Ex:
                ME->FIRE_OUTBOUND_PLUG( IV_OUTBOUND_PLUG   = 'TO_OUTPLUG''
                          IV_DATA_COLLECTION = LR_COL ).
6.     Pass the data through the data collection.

Creating Buttons auto linked to Camera Views

Hi,
Right now I have buttons setup that I manually link to 3D views.
They work fine, but I would like to setup a PDF template file that includes these buttons (such as "camera 1" "top view" etc.) and have these automatically link to the Views created when I import a 3D model.
That way I can delete one model, insert another and the buttons are auto linked to the new file.
Is this possible? Does what I've explained make sense?
I'm pretty new to Javascript, and am willing to have a go - but even knowing if it is possible or not is helpful.

I recently found an Adobe .js script (within the "Smooth Camera Rotation" tutorial PDF) that controls the Camera movement within the scene, such as the friction, force etc. so the movement is nice and smooth.
It works well, except it seems to reset to the Default View whenever I attempt to rotate the scene. This results in slightly jumpy usage as the cameras keep changing. ie: I select Top View, then when I rotate the scene, it jumps and starts rotating from the Default Perspective view instead of the Top View.
Is there something I should pull out of the script to remove this function? Or edit to just use the camera from it's current position?

Put the video with the first language on the timeline followed by the video with the second language. Use chapter markers so you can have each video as a chapter in the menu.

Also, I have another question: can I put videos from different projects in the same DVD with Premiere or must all of the videos that go into the DVD be in the same project?

I have a requirement to create a link to a standard sap transaction when clicking a button in the view.
The button should say "Change Salesorder" and when clicking the button the user should see a new window opening where the VA02 transaction is opened in SAP GUI html.
