Creative Cloud Support

Why is it so hard to receive support from Adobe??  I can't not find a support phone number or a chat link on their website.  I called sales and was directed to Adobe.com/getsupport but I don't see a phone number or link to chat there either.  It really feels like Adobe does not want to hear from their subscribers, which is very disappointing.  Certainly not a friendly atmosphere.

    I believe I still have about 20 days left of the original support that came with my subscription to Creative Cloud. How do I use that support? I don't think I've talked to support other than in the product help questions yet. I also need to find out what type of support I should buy after that runs out.     Absolutely. BC has a great email marketing setup. It does what you mention and more ....

    There is an additional support forum for paid partners as well as faster track to Live Chat and second level support.

    You can become a Free partner. It doesn't have all the extra support features and many of the perks though. Any paid partner such as myself can send you a promo code for a small 5% discount on a paid partnership as well.
    If you have already created a BC site, you are already a Free Partner. Go to anyone of your BC sites you created and add /partnerportal to the address. Example; mysite.businesscatalyst.com/partnerportal
    Login with your ID that you used when creating the sites. You can access all of your sites from that one location.

    You'll find that the CC versions of the Cloud apps all require Windows 7 or Windows 8+ so a new computer may be on the cards for you.

  • Creative Cloud support for hiDPI Displays

    Just got a new Dell XPS 15 with a hiDPI Displaty and had to discover hat im barely able to use any CC App except Indesign because of a Ui that is viewable with strong glasses only.
    Is there any workaround or fix for this besides lowering resolution?

    Several apps have received High-DPI support in updates, so if you haven't applied them, do so. Otherwise you will have to live with one or the otehr thing not being particulalrly nice to look at. This unfortunately is still all over the place and Adobe seems to have no masterplan...

    I thought that creative cloud supported arabic text.

    Here is a concern I have.  I called sales support yesterday and asked the following questions.   I have 3 computers (1) PC tower, (1) iMac and (1) MacBook Pro.   When I first started using Adobe all the way through CS5 Master Collection I always owned the Windows Box Versions.  I have been waiting for months for this to come out so I could move my workflow over to MacOS X.    Since the Creative Cloud supports both MAC and Windows installs the question I asked was can I install it on both my 2 Mac Computers.  Then if I need to use it on my PC can I simply deactivate and then activate on it for use?
    The answer your support person gave was "YES"  So the answer in this topic don't even flow with the answers from calling the 800 number!
    So now reading this forum topic I am really confused.   I like many others have definate reasons why I may want to flip flop the machine I am using the software on  (1) I have $4500 worth of AE plug-ins.  $2000 worth of these are platform specific.  So they only run on a windows machine.  Even, though I intend on my primary workflow to be used on a MAC there may come a time when I need to use one of these plug-ins and then would have to switch my activation to the PC to use it. 
    Another scenario,  Let's face it Apple has not been to keen on upgrading the Mac Pro system's.  iMac's are great but have their limitations with graphics cards, drives, and memory.  So if you go a complicated AE render to do,iIt makes a lot more sense to run it on a PC at this time for me.  So my hope here is I would de-activate one of my MAC's activate my PC then render away.
    I like many others completely understand that we are only suppose to operate our software on 1 machine at a time.  I am cool with you checking this.  Other posters have asked what if I forget to turn one machine off leave with my MacBook Pro and then fire it up.  Will I be in trouble?  Not sure how you handle this if you don't have a connection.  But Spotify the music streaming company license their software to me the user.  If I fire up one machine,  Then grab my iPhone and try to listen it turns it off on the other machine.  Apps in the app store like MotionX Drive do the same thing.
    I am an Electrical Automation Engineer by day and a Graphic/Video Designer Enthusiast at night.   In all the programming software that every vendor provides they provide a licensing server software service that sits locally within the location.  It manages concurrent licenses, without the need for online connections.  Any computer needing to run simply pulls the license from the network connected license server software service.  When the program is done it releases the license.  The only issues with this is if your license server crashes.  It can be a bit of a headache with support to get your license back.   Others simply have an online site (like Apple) Where you simply log in and de-activate devices as needed.  (Heck even Hulu, and Netflix offer this.)
    I think if Adobe wants the Cloud thing to take off then they need to re-evaluate this.  The license needs to follow the user not the device.  The user should have a painless simple way to activate and de-activate their license back to their Adobe ID.

  • Creative Cloud Apps Telling Me I am in Trial Mode. Help!

    First time I have had an issue with my Creative Cloud subscription apps. My account is in good standing since May. On a Mac running 10.6.8
    As of this morning, when I try opening any of my Creative Cloud apps, I receive a notification saying "Sign In Required" -- We will now register your trial to your Adobe ID.
    I installed the most recent updates on Monday, Dec. 17. After installation, I had no problems opening the software.
    This morning, I launched Adobe Photoshop CS6 (ver 13.1.0) with no problems. Then, when I went to launch Adobe Illustrator (ver 16.2.0) I received the dialog saying "Sign In Required" for all my apps.
    When I click the "sign in" button, it opens the apps in "tryout mode". When I quit and reopen Photoshop, InDesign, Illlustrator there is a window asking me to either license the software, or continue the trial. When I click "License This Software," it tells me sign in is required so I hit "sign in." But this then prompts me for a "serial number" -- which Creative Cloud subscribers don't have. And now all of my software is doing this.
    Please...any help would be appreciated!!

    Spoke with a very nice gentleman from Adobe Creative Cloud support.
    He suggested, when you get to the "Sign In" page, to click "Not my Adobe ID" and it will take you to a page to sign in with your Adobe ID.
    This worked!
    He said that the recent updates had caused a glitch that was a "known issue."

  • Creative Cloud is not up-to-date but it says it is.

    Creative Cloud says my apps are all up-to-date, but in Illustrator I'm missing the Join Tool and in Photoshop I don't have Extract Assets either in the menu at the top or in the right-click/option-click contextual menu. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Creative Cloud, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I've uninstalled, deleted the OPM.db file and reinstalled. My apps are still not up-to-date with the options in the tutorials.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App Shows Download Error

    I installed the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app.  When I click Install Adobe Apps I get an error message that says, "Download Error.  Press Retry to try again or contact customer support."  Pressing the Reload Applications button just repeats the same error.  I disabled my antivirus, Windows firewall, bypassed my Cisco firewall and nothing changes.  No error code number is given.
    I'm running Windows 7 Pro, SP1, 32bit, 4Gb memory.
    Any ideas?

  • Can't install premiere CS6 from creative cloud

    Hi, I'm looking to install Encore and have tried to follow the CS6 install instructions.
    I've read the instructions about selection "previous versions" in the CC app, but when I choose that option, Premiere Pro doesn't show up.  I only get Edge Animate CC, Extension Manager, and gaming SDK.

    If you have a Complete subscription to the Cloud then you should have access to most of the CS6 offerings (or do you not have a Complete plan?).  I could suggest reinstalling but I like recommending that as much as you like hearing it.  Try contacting Adobe Support... since it is Cloud-related maybe they will support it (what they do and don't support is apparently a moving target).  They might be able to tie into the machine and see  what's what.
