Credit bureau

We were just denied a mortgage due to erroneous information that Verizon posted on our credit report. They said our bill wasn't paid for a "sub-account 2" plan that was being paid by our son and the bills were going to his home. For more than two years I never received a bill at my home address for this account. In January,2013 after numerous attempts prior to then to complete an assumption of liability for the mobile number he was paying for more than two years on his own, they allowed him to assume liability for the number and he then added his FIOS plan to one bill. He has proof of continued payment for these bills but now- Verizon wireless who has never sent me anything about an outstanding bill for this account for more than two years, or any collection notices- at all - EVER- has marked my credit report as in collections for a bill I was never given and my son's records show he has paid his bill during any questioned timeframe as well. NEITHER one of us have received any notice of unpaid bills or collection process being started.
Is anyone else in this country tired of people who DON"T do their job and have the ability to go so far as to change my address on 3 credit bureau reports without ever even notifying me there is a potential problem- let alone marking it as collections????
Anybody know a good lawyer who handles credit bureau suits because that is my next step.

In my case i cancelled service in July 2013, as i was relocating and paid up all early cancellation balances 100% by November 2013 and was clearly told my balance was 0 for account ending in 6852.
Only to get a call on 3/17/2014 by a collection agency called IC System saying Verizon has sent my name for a $50 bill + $4.50 charge. Afters hours of calling Verizon customer support and subsequent transfers to billing, then finance, the recovery, i was told to pay the charge and file for dispute.
I went ahead to make the payment to recovery, only for the collection company to say i was still owing them the amount due & not Verizon.I then called back customer service and was told that a report would nevertheless be made to the credit bureau.
This isnt right at all.I dont understand what a company like Verizon gains by damaging ones credit for an erroneous, multiple billing.
I hope someone here from Verizon can help me clear this problem since I have never recieved a collection letter and the only reason I closed my account was because I moved to a new location where they do not have service. I would really like to have this resolved ASAP since I'm in the process of purchasing a new home and this woud really lower my credit score
Thank you.

  • I just found out my credit score dropped because Verizon One bill put me through collections for my final bill that I never received and after almost two hours on the phone transferred back and forth they still could not confirm if I owe money or not.

After 2 hours transferred back and forth between billing, one bill, home and wireless no one could prove that I owed money.  Wireless said I owed nothing and home said I had a credit for cancelling a couple days before the billing cycle but owed for wireless.  After a three-way called between Home and Wireless and Wireless insisting I do not owe anything, the Home representative disconnected herself, the wireless rep promised me a call back the next day to get the other department online and to get everything resolved.  No one called me back next day and the day after.  Knowing this could go in circles and don't want to do anything bad to my credit, I paid the settlement amount to the collection agencies.  Now I saw that my credit score got ding for an amount that Verizon couldn't prove that I owed.  I should not have paid it at all.   If someone from Verizon reads this message, please get back to me and get this resolved.  After more than 15 years with this company, this is making me so frustrated.  I liked Verizon services but at this point I am going to start looking for someone with better billing.

I called customer service, spoke to Verizon Wireless Representative but they cannot pull anything on my record.  So after two transfers I asked to speak to financial services.  Spoke to Ronnie Ext 5100.  Representative was very rude, not listening, kept on insisting that since I paid the collection agency I cannot dispute.  Said should not have paid the collection agency.  Rep was over talking, not listing to me explaining my frustration of being on the phone for hours in November between Verizon OneBill, Home and Wireless and got nothing resolved, and that's why I paid.  Said there's nothing she can do except to put a note to Credit Bureau that the account is paid in full.  I asked to talk to a supervisor or a manager and she said no one can do anything else.  I insisted and she asked me to leave a phone number to call back.  After all the calls and speaking to many reps, this is the worst.  Now I am back to square one waiting for someone to call me back.  And my credit score is still one hundred points lower thanks to Verizon!!!

  • Errors on my credit report Help please

When Citibank took over my Best Buy credit card from Capitol One, there appears to have been inaccurate reporting by the companies or the credit bureeaus are reporting it wrong, not sure which.   Both cards show an open date of February 2007  Equifax shows open with CBNA and no status with Captiol OneTrans Union shows Closed with Capitol One and open with CBNAExperian shows nothing with CBNA and closed with Capitol One... It should all show open with Citibank (CBNA) reporting zero balance...  Do I fix any of this or will it drag my score lower?

  • Transferred Bill went on Credit report immediately

I am making an attempt to resolve my issue before taking further action.  I transferred my account from my husbands for a couple weeks and cancelled it. I owed $155. I kept getting a summary for over $250. I wanted to get the discrepancy straightened out before paying. I finally got someone on the line at Verizon Wireless that understood what error had taken place about 2 months later.  I had spoken to 3 or 4 agents to get the issue straightened out. The issue was never resolved even though I was told it was over and over again. Once I got the corrected bill ( 2 months later)  I still had never seen a detailed bill and was told this is what I would get. I called again- 5th or 6th time by now and was promised I would get a detailed bill. About 4 months into the ordeal I finally got the detailed bill. I am very busy, it took me a couple weeks to review the bill. I called to pay the bill and they could not find my account, every time they entered it, it came up under my husband. I tried to go through the special over due bill link and the payment went to my husbands current account. I was not aware this had happened until I got a letter from a collection agency, I called Verizon the day I received it and they said the previous payment was posted to my husbands account. Okay fine! I called the collection agency and paid them. Finally my payment went to the right bill and everything was squared away! Until a couple weeks later, I got an email saying my credit score was going down 50 points. WHOA!!! I went on credit karma to see what was going on, it was Verizon wireless.  I spent hours talking to the billing department trying to get them to understand that I paid this before it went to collections, it took months to get my balance and detailed bill. Also the day it went to collections, it was sent to the bureaus. This is where I seriously feel a violation is being made by Verizon Wireless. I cannot find any law or regulation allowing this.  How is this permitted? I paid the agency the day I got the first bill! It was reported to transunion etc. 10 days later!

    Hi ArnettH,
The bill is now accurately showing as paid since I paid the collection agency. When I paid on my account originally I paid what I thought the amount was at the time which didn't specifically match the exact amount owed. Therefore, they didn't allow that documentation as proof of payment prior to collections. Even though it is for the same phones that were on both accounts and I made the payment from my personal account. I sent all of the documentation I had. I am very upset about the practice of sending an account to the credit bureaus the day it leaves your office. I was told this is the procedure. I paid the exact amount owed to the collection agency since they were able to locate my account immediately as opposed to the numerous phone calls I made and could not get my account pulled up by your reps because the phone was still active. I now know they needed to look by my name, a couple of them must have been newer, when I said you have to look me up by my name or my husbands account will come up, they refused to do so!
I never had an issue paying my bill, it is my bill, I owed it. I wanted to know what I was paying for and make sure it was correct. For 2 months they had one of our lines active that we had shut off. I was told I would be credited for that and it took them another 2 months to credit me correctly for their error. Mainly because they couldn't find the account or accurately make the updates when I did find someone that would look me up correctly. I spent hours on the phone trying to explain my side and why I felt this should not have gone to collections.  I don't feel that calling again would get anywhere. Is this truly the practice- to send someone to the bureau the day you send an account to the collection agency? I was a supervisor at a collection agency and I have never heard of such a selfish, mean, cruel, anti-customer service thing to do. Most companies allow 30 days for payment prior to turning into the bureau. I thought it was the law!
We currently have 6 active lines with Verizon with 15 megs of data. We have had Verizon for many years- we have always been very good customers. We only have Verizon now because that is the service we can get in our home. Well guess what, we are getting ready to move and are very ready to give our 6 lines of service and $400 a month to another company!
December 20- switched 4 lines to my own name from spouse.
December 24th- He asked if I would continue to pay the entire bill while we were separated. I had the bills joined back together. I was told I would have fees and charges and would receive a final bill.
I cancelled one of the lines that was no longer on contract.
I asked if it would be itemized because I would no longer be able to look online. I was told yes final bills are itemized.
Around January 15th I got a summarized bill for an amount that seemed to be very high. I called and was again promised an itemized bill.
February 10th- I got another summary with an additional amount which was higher than the previous bill. I called and was told that I still had an active line, this was the line I cancelled.
March - April 15 - Various phone calls ranging in results from they couldn't find me or refused to find me to promising to send an accurate bill with the correct amount.
End of April- Finally received an itemized bill that appeared to be accurate with incorrectly billed amounts refunded.
Mid May- Paid the bill to the special link to recovery I had saved on my computer. I did not have the exact amount with me so I paid what I believed to be accurate.
    June 7- Received collection bill
Looked at my husbands account and noticed the amount I paid was applied to his account.
Called the collection agency and paid them, the same day I got the first notice.
June 9th- The bill that was paid to collections a few short days after they received it showed up on my credit bureau as unpaid and remained showing unpaid for 2 months.
July- Spoke to Verizon multiple times for hours pleading and begging for understanding so that my credit would not be ruined. Pointing out, I am still a current customer and all of the lines are still active and Verizon took months to get my account straight to NO RESOLUTION!! For an additional 2 months or more my account still showed unpaid.  Once it finally showed paid, my credit score went up about 3 points with a total new damage of about 47 points for this debacle with Verizon!
I understand there are rules and you have to be fair. There are also extenuating circumstances and situations that do not fit into a perfect box. I feel I had one of those.  I expected a human to review my human situation and encountered no real person that was allowed to have a mind of their own and make a decision that made sense!

  • Year long attempt to fix my credit score because of

This has been over a year long issue as of now. I was looking at my combined credit score back in June of 2013 and noticed a 60 point drop on all 3 scores - Equifax, Experian and Trans Union based on an account in collections from Verizon from $529.00. I was never notified by any collection agencies by phone calls or letters or by Verizon wireless. I disputed this with all three credit card companies and wrote a formal letter to Verizon. The amount and item has been fixed on two of them, but the Equifax score still shows a delinquent charge from Verizon Wireless on 2/1/2010 for $529.00. The amount was for an opened account in 2010 but did not show up on my credit report until June 2013. Seems very unusual. They assured me that it was reported correctly and that I need to contact Verizon to get this resolved. I have had no success in doing so. Does anyone else have a similar experience? Verizon, please fix this...

EPIC - The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Privacy of Your Credit Report
Read the above. Get copies of the other credit bureaus that have given accurate updates and or letters stating it was corrected.
Get a consumer lawyer and sue the erroneous credit bureau for the maximum amount allowed by law. Or go out and get denied for a large credit item (car or home or boat) after being denied you can sue for three times the amount.
You can also take Verizon wireless to court (small claims) for the amount in dispute and another $3000.00 for violating the FDCPA
    Read the law.
Add in court costs and postage costs and any costs associated with getting Verizon to remove it permently from your credit file(s)
    Good Luck

  • Erroneous, derogatory credit report

I have been a longstanding, loyal, and very consistent Verizon Wireless customer for over 10 years.  In all the years I have been a Verizon Wireless customer, I have ALWAYS paid my bill on time, every month.  In early 2011, I went through a divorce & released my ex-husband's line.  A couple of months later, I added a line for my son but I did not sign a contract for the new phone number.  I kept the new line (my son's) for over one year, but because for most of that year, the phone was not even used, I cancelled it around 2/2012 because I combined my account with my current husband's account, who has also been with Verizon Wireless for more than 10 years.  The reason I cancelled my son's line was because my husband's account has 4 lines, and the maximum number of lines on a Family Share Plan was 5 at the time we combined accounts.  Additionally, since my son hadn't used his phone in about 4+ months prior to the combining of accounts, it only made the best financial sense to cancel this line since it wasn't being used anyway.  Verizon even credited me one month's worth of charges (because that was as far back as the representative was allowed to credit) because she could see he never used his phone.   I thought I had a productive, good-standing relationship until October, 2012   when I received a bill for $68 from CONVERGENT COLLECTION AGENCY!!!  Needless to say, I was appalled!  From the time I got the new line until the time I cancelled the line, my monthly payment was always current and paid in full.  Immediately, I picked up the phone & called Verizon, who said it was out of their hands, and that I should contact the credit agency to pay the bill.  I then immediately contacted Convergent Collection Agency and paid the accused debt amounting to $80.90 (including the collection agency fee).  Knowing these charges were erroneous, I waited for the debt to be "cleared up" on Verizon's side, I waited nearly 30 days, then contacted Verizon again in order to clear my name/accounts.  After explaining this long & drawn out scenario, a very kind Verizon Wireless representative stated they would submit this account to be cleared of any wrongdoing on my part, & would even process a refund for me for the $60-some odd dollar outstanding balance which was turned in to the collection agency.  I explained that I paid $80.90, and asked to have the entire amount credited back or refunded to me.  I have yet to receive a refund, which is of zero importance compared to the derogatory reports against my otherwise perfect, 15 year credit history.
The point I am trying to make is that I NEED VERIZON WIRELESS TO REMOVE THE DEROGATORY REPORT FROM MY OTHERWISE PRISTINE CREDIT HISTORY.  I have been a loyal Verizon Wireless customer for over 10 years and have no plans to change my service provider in the near future, unless I continue to be unsuccessful at getting this one single negative report deleted off of my credit.  I have been told by a Verizon representative that is impossible to remove derogatory reports from a credit report, which is UNTRUE!   I know if a company has the ability to report good standing history as well as negative history, they also have the ability to REMOVE negative information.  This negative report does NOT represent my personal values of paying my monthly bills as well as paying them ON TIME, as well as being a responsible adult, in general.  I do not feel as if I should suffer the repercussions of this ONE negative & most certainly erroneous report if I was not the source of the problem.  I feel the blame is on Verizon because someone there did not check to ensure the bill was sent to the correct address....I received a bill every month for my main account, so why wasn't it caught that my son's bill was sent to my old address (of my ex-husband, who deliberately did not give me my mail).  Another reason I am upset about this is because Verizon NEVER made an attempt to call me about the past due balance.  The line was tied to my phone number, which I have had since day 1 with Verizon (and have never changed this number).  I feel as if Verizon did not do their part to notify me of this bill, and found it easiest to turn me in to the credit bureau, without caring how someone's lack of attention and abundance of laziness would adversely affect my credit.
I have tried to contact a supervisor at Verizon regarding this issue, but was told there was no one available.  This is unacceptable to me, as I was lied to again.  I don't feel as if I should continue paying money to a company who does not care about its customers or how they are treated by it's employees.  Money is NOT the issue; a $60-something balance would have been easily and immediately taken care of, as I am easily making current monthly payments of over $340.  If Verizon does not have a solution for me IMMEDIATELY, then I will be happy to take my money every month to another wireless company who will treat it's customers like they are a real person.
Please feel free to have no less than a manager, supervisor, or better yet, a regional supervisor to contact me at ANY TIME.

This is a peer to peer forum. no managers etc. here just customers and occasionally a verizon employee comes by to assist.
Verizon like banks and credit card companies may or may not post your payment history to the three credit bureaus
If they post a delinquent account to the bureaus you can under the Fair Debt Collections Act write a letter and dispute the charge or amount they claim you owe.
Please note because the invoice was overlooked and not paid does not mean you were responsible for the payment of that invoice.
You can also call the credit bureaus to dispute the validity of the collection company and verizon but it was posted as a correct entry on your credit report. Factual reports stay on for 7 years. if you write the letter of dispute or circumstances it to will be there for potential credit grantors to view.
That is all that can be done. However there are federal and state laws that state credit bureaus can be sued in court if what they post is not accurate but truthful  entries are going to stay.

  • I recently got very ill and a late payment of $226 got reported to the credit bureaus...

I had perfect credit before this and paid the amount immediately once I realized what was going on.  Can this be removed?  I will make the next 6 months of payments or start automatic withdrawal to show good faith.  It wasn't a matter of money, my world was just tipped upside down from the diagnosis and I will do anything to fix it.  I'm willing to prove it with medical records or do whatever it takes.   I've been a Verizon customer for over a decade and have always been so happy with service.  I would never ruin my credit for $226.  HELP please.

From the POV of a former collector I can tell you that this will remain for 7 years.  Obviously when payment is made in full the report will show paid off, but the record remains.  I won't get into all the promises made by collectors to get you to pay a bill in full and fast, since commission and goals and getting the client their money are of their utmost priority.  I have yet had a story told that reversed a collections report since first that story has to go to deaf ears of the collector and then to the company owed, who wants their money.  My companies wanted their money and were responsible for filing the report.  I only had to get the money.  Your only appeal would be directly to Verizon, but it would be at their mercy if it has yet to be reported to any credit bureau.  The law would not help you much here as the payment was late.  Usually though, Verizon, at least I do not think, reports immediately after 1 month being missed.  Generally potential charge-off accounts are reported after 3 months delinquency.  So, again, the law wouldn't help much there considering how much time and notice were given, if that was the case.

  • Credit One GW Success!

Good evening! I am super excited as I just received a letter in the mail from credit one responding to an email that I sent in 12 days ago. They have agreed to remove my 3 late 30+ derogatory marks from all three bureau's ! I now have had my United Illuminating accounts completely removed and 3 deragatory marks removed from my Creditone Credit Card. My last phone inquiry for removal of my credit one derog's didn't work. But I did mail in a typed letter. Below is the letter I sent. Good afternoon XXXX,      I hope that all is well. My name is XXXX and I have been a happy CreditOne customer since July 2010. During that time I have had pretty exceptional payment history. Your credit card has allowed me the opportunity to purchase items that are needed for my family, and also to establish my credit history.      I currently have 3 late payments reporting to all three credit bureau's. The dates of late payments are: 9/2011, 4/2012, and 11/2013. These late payments are my fault and I do not dispute that, but instead do apologize.  The past couple of years were difficult at times with the birth of 2 of my children and losing a job. Since those periods of time, my payment history has continued to be exceptional. I have been making payments every week for over a year.       My family of 5 and I are currently looking to purchase a house within the next 6 months.  I would kindly request if you can remove the 3 late payments from my credit report. I have recently received a credit limit increase from CreditOne and am a very happy customer.  Your time, patience, and understanding is much appreciated,

    Great news.... Happy for ya.........

  • Credit Card Chargeback for Item Not as Described

I'm dealing with a lying, jackass of a buyer who just filed a chargeback through his credit card company.   As far as the dispute is concerned, here's the skinny:   Customer pays for deposit for custom item using PaypalCustomer provides details such as size and color for item, item is made to customer's specsWe personally deliver and install custom item to customer (customer is one state over from us), customer pays $200 cash towards balance leaving $225 remaining. Customer states he will pay remaining balance via PaypalI contact customer via text regarding balance due and he states he is unhappy with the product and will send email detailing why. Customer doesn't send email but INSTEAD....Customer files dispute with Paypal requesting refund for "item not as described." I escalate dispute to claimPaypal decides in my favor. Yay! I email customer and tell him we will refund him if he returns the productCustomer makes additional demands for money and says he will return product AFTER he gets refund. Customer is holding item hostage.  Ha!  Customer is a loser!  I respond to customer, "**bleep** to the No!" Customer initiates credit card chargeback  There are some other issues surrounding this situation with the client.  For one, we installed the product wrong BUT did apologize and offered to correct at no additional charge to customer.  And this is before the customer decided to dispute with Paypal.  Not sure if this and other issues are relevant being that they aren't directly involved in the dispute and the refund amount requested is for the item and nothing else.  (Note: I was not on site for the install and didn't learn the details until after.)  What I have learned and can share from this experience so far:   Buyers do not have protection from Paypal for custom products or deposits toward purchases.  This is the reason I was able to escalate the customer's initial dispute through Paypal to a claim and have it closed and decided in my favor almost immediately.  TIP - If this happens to you, CALL PAYPAL!  My Paypal rep held the line while I escalated the dispute to a claim so that she could deny and close it as fast as I hit the submit button. That felt really good!   There is such a thing as "friendly fraud" and we should educate ourselves on that.  This link describes it but also offers a service that I'm not affiliated with so heads up! https://chargebacks911.com/chargeback-fraud/ You do have recourse through smail claims so do it if only for principle!  If you can!  But if you can't, see below.  If you lose, you can and should report them to the credit bureau for an unreturned item.  I just learned this about today so I will post more on this as I learn more.   Wells Fargo has a useful chargeback tool for merchants and through this tool, I learned a new term called a "Chargeback Representment Right."  I figure if you can reply back through Paypal to the bank with terms the bank recognizes, it may help your cause.  Here's a link to the tool.  https://www.wellsfargo.com/biz/merchant/service/manage/chargeback/ Do save all records; texts, emails, chats, documents, etc. at least 6 months.  We are at or around 180 days since the deposit was paid and the customer was able to chargeback.   The spellchecker in this forum thinks Paypal is spelled wrong!   Anyhoo, I am in no way confident that I will win this as all that I've read thus far pretty much states that the credit card companies generally decide in the favor of the customer.  But  I would like feedback!   I've read many similar stories but people often don't always follow up and probably are less likely to post good outcomes.  We small businesses are all in this together so please share your advise and experiences!   Thanks in advance for your time.

You can always try.The two basic types of Dispute are Item Not Received and Item Not As Described. But are these digital items? There are very few allowable actions with digital items. Try the Resolution Centre (at the bottom of this page) but the PP Resolution Centre might be better. If you don't mind not attending the concert at all, of course, since basically the Dispute would cancel the transaction, refund your money and leave you back where you were before you bought. It might be simplest to go to your credit card and cancel the payment or start a chargeback. There is a 1-800 number on the back of your credit card. Hmm-- would the original seller of the tickets (not your reseller) or the concert hall be able to exchange your unwanted tickets?

  • Ultimate 3B Monitoring Prorated Upgrade Questions!?

I recently enrolled in the 3 Credit Bureau Monitoring for $24.99/Month on June 24 (almost 3 weeks ago). I got a message at the bottom of my Dashboard saying I could upgrade to the 3B Ultimate at a prorated price, since it hasn't been a month. It says you get a fresh report from all 3 Credit Bureaus quarterly, which is worth the extra $5/month for me, so I am going to do it here in the next 24-48 hours.... But my question is will it provide a "newer" or more accurate score than what I already have? It says that they have to pull the information again, and my score has been on a great climb in the 3 weeks I've been enrolled. I've got some things that haven't updated on Transunion FICO, but have on the other 2. Any help/experience is greatly appreciated!

Just want to give an update. It's been about 1 week and I've had no problems. Signing in and out of Win 7 is very fast. Much better than with XP. Even though I have a slower hard drive with Windows 7 (5400 RPM) vs Windows XP (7200 RPM), Windows 7 is faster. Startup time is about the same, but shutdown is a lot faster, just like signing and out and logging in and out.
Wireless LAN (WLAN) configuration was painless and has worked well. It automatically reconnects when I boot and does not drop my connection when i stay logged in but switch users (this happened to me on XP with the IBM Access software).
It has been well worth the upgrade so far.
    Systems I use: T42P, T61P, Y510, A600

  • Verizon Wireless is About to Cost Me a Home!!!!!!!!!

This is EXTREMELY frustrating and I'm about to lose the home I really want to buy.
I applied for a mortgage this month (January 2014) and that's when I realized there's collections activity on all 3 credit bureaus with Verizon that I already paid. These collections are affecting my loan approval and now my mortgage loan is on hold. I have a bid on a house that I'm about to lose because Verizon's recovery department can't get their act together and is giving me the runaround. I PAID THIS ACCOUNT LAST SUMMER.
Last summer, I had a balance outstanding with Verizon on a  couple subaccounts. I called recovery and they said I had a balance of  $643.19. I paid this full amount about a week after the phone call (all  documented).
When I discovered the collections on my credit bureaus. I immediately checked my bank account dating back to last summer and it shows the payment POSTED clearly saying "Verizon Wireless Bill Pay" etc.... I called recovery the next day after being transferred 3 times and wait times totaling 43 minutes while I'm at work. I explain my long story to the rep and she asked me to fax in the bank statement that shows it cleared and she said they'll call me within 48 hours (this was last week. I faxed it immediately and also attached a blank check to show it's my account (accounts numbers match).
Of course I didn't get a call back so I called them on Friday to get an update because the realtor, the mortgage lender, the seller and myself are all waiting on this. There are no updates and the rep asked me to call back Monday. This is after I had to explain to whole entire story again. After explaining the story each time, the rep always tries to fix it even though I adamantly tell them they can't fit it and just to check the notes and give me an update.
Fast forward to Thursday and two more phone calls, two more times of explaining the story to new reps, two more supervisors, I STILL haven't had a resolution yet. Now they're asking for my full credit card number to search the payment. WHY SHOULD I GIVE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER AGAIN WHEN THIS IS NOT MY MISTAKE AND IS VERIZON'S MISTAKE????? I made the payment, it says it clearly on my bank statement, my bank will back me up on this!! I'm about to lose the home I want to purchase because Verizon lost my payment! I want this escalated to someone that CAN help with a sense of urgency since nobody else seems to care that Verizon's mistake is about to cost me a home. The rep told me to email the "Contact Us" link on the website. Are you kidding???? THat's how I escalate to someone higher up? To email a general email address that thousands of other customers are emailing?? Unacceptable....
I have been given 3 days to get this cleared up or I lose the bid on the home. If that happens, this WILL become news. If they cannot locate my payment after over a week, I don't think they will and I will lose this house. Even if I lose it and apply for another home, these collections WILL still show on my credit bureau and I'm still screwed over by Verizon. Desperate cry for help online...is there ANYONE that can actually help or did I just waste a week and lose a home? If this remains on my credit report and I can't get a mortgage, then this WILL go viral online and make news. It's only fair I get it credited and it gets removed from my credit report. I've sent in a bank statement, a screenshot, a blank check showing matching account numbers and now they want my credit card number. This is completely unacceptable and people need to be aware of this...

First off the non payment to verizon was indeed correct. You admit this in your post.
Secondly, correct information even if paid in full will stay on your credit report for 7-10 years. Any subsequent posting to the trade line will again make it show longer. Read the link it is the law.
Your state of residence may have credit reporting laws similar to the Federal Law.
A mortgage lender can in most cases overlook certain debts that have been paid. It varies from lender to lender. I know a couple that had a electric company bill posted on his credit report, not a big invoice just $90 the electric company never sent the invoice after they moved or the post office did not forward it. In any case the bank only needed a letter from the creditor stating that the invoice has been paid in full.
They received their mortgage and the credit bureaus show it as paid.
However verizon wireless will not be able to assist you with such documents because of just where and who in this large company can produce the document you need? And they will not remove the information from your three credit bureaus. The information that you were late, or went to collections, or charged off is factual so it will remain.
When we bought our home we had the credit union give us an advanced copy to see where we stood. They even said they would use the report from the best one we liked. Needless to say we have no negative dings so getting mortgage and personal lines of credit are no problem. You have to watch your report very carefully and often.
I know that is no comfort to you now. The good part about this is *IF* because of Verizon's not reporting properly or it being in error that could have been fixed, you can get a lawyer and sue for three times the amount of the mortgage you lost due to their error. However if the information is correct be it paid or unpaid the black mark will stand.
    Good Luck

  • Problem in compiling oracle 8i procedures

    Hi Rupinder,
I have a complex problem and need your help in fixing it.
I’m trying to setup our test environment (Application & database) both in Pentium 4 desktop. The platform is windows 2003 server installed in the desktop without any problem and updated by installing SP1.The database is oracle 8i I installed the server version in the same workstation.
When I created the database and imported the user which I exported from the production server I had problem in some procedures some of them when I compile I get error message
(Screenshot below).I tried to search in the internet and my search was hopeless as I didn’t find any useful topic. The same procedures run in the production and backup environment without any compilation problem the only difference that oracle in the working environment is installed in Unix servers separated from the windows 2003 application servers in addition that the working environments are servers while the test pc is just a desktop Pc. Does it affect? Is there any solution for this problem?

It appears that the word "join" appears somewhere in ur SQL/PL SQL code.
I dont think the keyword JOIN is allowed in Oracle 8i, only in Oracle 9i/ later versions. pl check, ur server machines may be using Oracle 9i/higher version than the oracle 8i for windows that u use.
If so, you must ideally install same/higher version on the windows platform.
Else, try re-coding the SQLs using WHERE clause instead of using the JOIN keyword(s).

  • Confused on my new BofA card

I believe mine was charged within the first month or two. I know when the first statement cut and they reported to the bureaus, they did report the $39 fee. Keep your eye out for it, it will come. Edit: I just re-read your post. You definitely should have been charged by now. I got mine around March too, and I paid my fee a long time ago. Maybe you got lucky and slipped through the cracks

I can't believe your's hasn't even reported to the bureaus yet, that's crazy. And you are able to use the card right? Maybe you got extra lucky and will have no AF and a hidden tradeline  Better that way anyway because they do report it as a "secured" card.Yeah but Bank of America is my first prime lender (unless USAA or Navy is one) so kind of wanted them on my Credit Report lol.  But I understand what you are saying.  Yeah it works.  I've used it each month for most of my groceries and PIF and it shows my rewards each month. Both times I called the number on the back of my card, each of the customer service reps didn't know what I meant by the term "credit bureau."  So I didn't get any answers by calling in.That's just crazy on their end. If you want it to report then be persistent. Have you been calling the "secured" cards dept.or just regular BOA customer service? Maybe someone on here will have a better number you can call.

  • GW Letter for anyone who needs one :)

A WHILE ago I sent a GW Letter and it got accepted  A couple of people emailed me for it, but I couldn't find it.  Well, I have good news I found it by accident while cleaning up my computer.  Feel free to copy it and cater it to your situation.  This is a good template, because obviously mine got accepted.  Keep in mind, this GW Letter is VERY OLD so pay no mind to the date lol  Other than that, enjoy and good luck!!! ........ MEMORANDUM FOR [put comany name in all caps here] FROM: [your first and last name in all caps] ACCOUNT#XXXXXXXXXX SUBJECT: Credit Bureau Late Payment Removal 1. I, [your first and last name], am requesting the removal of a 30 Day Late Payment posted on all three Credit Bureaus last September. This is the only missed payment on my Credit Report. I have never missed a payment and have a history of payments made on time with your company. I was in the process of deploying and thought I had my financial affairs in order, prior to leaving. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, due to the late payment. Since then, I have set up an automatic payment plan and paid extra every month to expedite the process to get my balance down. My card will be paid in full on 15 January 2013. 2. My credit is important to me and my relationship with your company is also important. The last thing I want is for [company name] to view me as high risk and not value me as a customer. I’ve been a happy customer for many years and will like to remain one for many more. I would appreciate if you could remove the late payment from my file. Please consider my request with a goodwill adjustment and have the 30 Day Late Payment removed from all three Credit Bureaus. 3. I am currently deployed and will be heading back to the states by the time you receive this letter. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at [insert your email address]. You can also send a letter to my home address: [insert your address here]. Thank you.   Very Respectfuly, [your first name, middle initial, last name]

Thanks for posting!!  While you're right any of us using it will have to adjust to our personal situations, it's always good to have an example of something that worked to start with rather than facing that blinking cursor and a blank screen.  No problem!  Thank you for the reply!  Wasn't expecting or looking for a reply.  Just wanted people to see one they can use while they're scrolling through.  Hope everyone uses the template and has a good experience like I did!

  • Multiple value parameters in JSP to Portal

    Hello all,
I'm creating parameter forms in JSP to run from the Portal 9i. I have a parameter form with select boxes that allows the user to select multiple choices. But when I submit the parameters. Only the first selection of the choices are being passed as parameters to the report.
    Code is as follows:
    <label for="search_by">Choose Search By:</label>
    <select multiple size=5 name=search_by>
    <option value="Appraiser" selected>Appraiser
    <option value="Broker" >Broker
    <option value="Title Company">Title Company
    <option value="Credit Bureau">Credit Bureau
    <option value="PMI">PMI
    </select>
Is there any way to check the values of "search_by" before I submit to the Portal?
Or do you know of any examples showing how to set this up so the Portal sees all the values selected by the user?

    Hi,
    As you are saying...
    Attributes : PostalCode
    Value : abc123
    in the second line,
    Attributes : PostalCode
    Value : cde456
    Is the data looking like..
    Address   Postal code
    ABC         abc123
    CDE         cde123
In this case, you could easily load data into BW, just create 1:1 mapping
    If the data is:
    Address   Postal code
    ABC         abc123
    ABC         cde123
Then please get confirmation from business as to which postal code is correct, as this may be a incorrect data isue.
    Regards,
    Pankaj
