CRM Business Content

Hi,
Anyone who has implemented CRM analytics?  We have loaded activities, complaints and sales order from CRM to BW.  When we validated the data in both systems it showed not they are not equal.  Some data doesn't exist in BW while data doesnt exist in CRM.  We need your help?
Thanks,
Fats

Hi what's your CRM version ? we encountered the same and have to apply some oss notes. Would you please specify in more detail which datasource(s) you are using ?
We found like 0CRM_QUOTA_ORDER_I, some items deleted in CRM but not reflected to BW. Activities data using 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 not extracted.

  • Need info on CRM Business Content extraction

I'm working on extraction of Standad CRM Objects for reporting Telecom KPI's etc...plz help me with the best way forward.

Hi Nishant the link below summarizes your concer..
    http://help.sap.com/bp_biv335/BI_EN/index.htm
Further look if the Business COntent are standard SAP business contents, then simply form an RFC connection between the BW(R/3) Server and CRM server.
Transport the objects to CRM Bus Content repository and then activate them for use as required for Object modelling.
You can form Telecom KPI based standard reports like Churn,Profitability etc from such objects..

  • Business Content for Bill Up transaction in CRM system

    To all Experts,
I'm currently working on a project that requires Bill Up transactional data ( Source Table: CMSD_BU ) to flow from CRM to BW system. I'm looking for Business Content that can fulfill this requirement. However, till to date, I couldn't find any information of such Business Content. I'm not sure if such BC exist. Not sure if we need to install any support pack in order make the BC available in the system. Please help if you have any idea.

The building block CRM Lead Analysis describes the all the required activities to analyze the Marketing Lead Analysis data from SAP CRM in SAP Business Information Warehouse.
The analysis is carried out with the following queries of the InfoCube 0MKTG_C01 CRM - Lead Management (SAP BW Business Content).
The Lead Management InfoCube contains all the characteristics and data used for the administration of leads. This InfoCube enables you to execute the following standard queries available in SAP BW:
    1.     Channel Analysis: This query is used to determine the best channels by which business partners are contacted in the context of a marketing campaign. Following each marketing campaign, the lead manager can compare the success of a given channel to those of others.
    2.     Efficiency Reporting: This query is used to analyze the efficiency with which leads are qualified. By navigating to the sales organizations and the responsible employees for the leads, it is possible to assess how efficiently lead teams are working and to identify areas for improvement.
    3.     Historical Evaluation: Use to help analyze and compare leads over different intervals (comparison of different quarters or years for example) to see if general characteristics in the processing of leads can be identified for these periods.
    4.     Lost Leads: Provides an overview of the number of lost leads in a particular period and the reasons (implemented as a navigation characteristic) for the loss of the leads. This query is used to analyze the main reasons why leads might be lost, with a view to developing new strategies for overcoming these weaknesses.
    5.     Channel Mgmt.: Top-n Lost Leads (Current Year): In a Channel Manager Portal, this query provides an analysis of the leads lost by a Channel Manager over the past 12 months. Channel Managers can also view the leads lost by their Channel Partners. In a Partner Portal, this query shows the top-n unsuccessful leads distributed by a Channel Manager to a Channel Partner. Partner Manager can see the lost leads of the Partner Employees over the year. Partner Employee can view his lost leads over the year.........
Before starting activities in this building block, you need to perform or check the following steps:

  • Business Content for CRM

    All,
We are in the Blue Print phase of our CRM project.  During the Integration of CRM 7 EHP 1 to our BW 7 EHP 1 system we notice a parcular issue.  After executing all the necessary steps on both the CRM side and the BW side, we notice that only a handful of data sources are being activated when choosing the RSDS activation mode.   The work around, we had to delete the datasources we want to use but that were not automatically activated, and then reactivate using 3.x mode.
Both systems are on the latest SPS and both systems have the same version of SAP_BW and BI_CONT 7.04.  Is this the way it is suppose to work?  Is business content delivered on 3.x version?  Do we need to convert Business Content to 7.0 before trying to activate it?
    Thanks in advance.
    Jose

    Hi,

Maintaining the same SPS Versions and Datasouce version is differant.

As you are upgradeing to CRM 7.0. I guess you have to upgrade the datasouce to BI 7.0. To enjoy the recent advantages/functionalities of netweaver . Upgrading is a process of enhancing to a newer version, facilitate to roll back to older version if require.
Migration from BW to BI7 after all upgrade you can migrate 3.0 objects to 7.0 read this article

  • Object Link to CRM business object in Trex search result list

    Hello Everyone,
has anybody sucessfully configured the functionality "Object Link Properties" which is described in the Document <a href="http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000647974&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000112&_OBJECT=011000358700005796662005E">Configuring the Business Package for SAP CRM 5.0 SP01 (EN)</a> on Page 169? I'm not the Knowledge Management specialist and would get some help on this topic. Has anybody detailed steps how to configure this?
It shounds interresting as the result would be that when the User does a full text search for Attached Documents he will also get a link to the original CRM business object like Activity, Account or Opportunity.
    Regards
    Gregor

    Hi Gregor,
    Thanks for your reply.
using windows explorer mechanism i can see the folders that i created in the CRM config.
Now in Portals KM i did the following steps:
    a) Created an HTTP Data Source : with URL = the URL that the service crm_prt_km_dav generates.
    http://abrusux156h.pch.chem.corp.local:8086/sap/crm/crm_prt_km_dav
    b)Created a memory cache
c)Created a WebDAV respository manager with the following details:
    Description :WebDAV
Prefix : /PRD  (PRD is the BO Hierarchy name that i have set in the CRM config)
System ID : T86 (Sames as what was set in HTTP Data Source)
    Repository Service : svc_acl
    ACL Manager cache : ca_cm
    Security manager : ACLSecurityManager
Memory Cache :webDAV(same as what i had set in step b)
I restarted the portal server. and then tried doing the test by going to
    Content Admin ->KM Content ->root
But i dont see the /PRD folder out there.
    Any clues on that???
    Thanks,
    Anand

    Hi,
I think you need to recheck RFC created for QA system , i guess it contains IP Address of the Dev system . Which is why it leads to Dev system whenever you try to goto source system.
In case if dev, quality server are in the same server with different client then
    Goto  Transaction SM59,
Select RFC (Dialog ) and tabpage "Logon security" tick on logon screen
    Hope that helps.
