CRM & IS-Retail

Hello all,
Does somebody know/have participated in a project with the IS-Retail industry and CRM-Services scenarios?
I need some feedback regarding the load of BP's on the ERP.
Usually, the IS-Retail solution doesn't use customers but the CRM-Service standard scenarios does (as they use them to generate some follow-up documents on the ERP with the customer as a reference).
Which do you think is the best/recommended solution to integrate both systems at customer level? To load BP's on the ERP or use a 'general' customer on the ERP to trace the complete service process in both systems?
Thank you in advance for any tip/suggestion.

Hi Apporva,
In general, whenever we want to download materials from ERP to CRM, as a prerequisite we have to download customizing objects and condition objects. Then we can down load materials using the business object "MATERIAL" via CRM middleware.
Please find the more information about downloading materials from ERP to CRM:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/46/57605301a208e7e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm
I have not worked with IS retail, however, I think the standard process might be same as general ERP.
Please find some more info wrt Retail industry:
For structured product : http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/46/576c7701a208e7e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm

    Hi All,
The major thing is we should not use ISU as stativ and CRM dynalic system. As we all aware When SAP is launching any module or technology its beleives in re-usabilty.
Now the issue data replecation between CRM and ISU-
    1. In a utility market if the customer, retailer and the network operator initiate any business flow they should start with CRM as CRM is handling FOP part.It means CRM has not only build only for ISU.
    2. In ISU before billing so many things is getting triggered - like new connecion,transfer,move-in,move-out etc....these process cant be done with the CRM business module as I mentioned earlier CRM is not only designed for IS-U
So for a smoother process and with proper business SAP introduced CRM IS-U.
Without replacting the data between CRM and IS-U we cant process the steps which will at last billed a customer.

    I ] Problem
We are having problem while replicating the Business Partners from CRM to R3. When we create a Business Partner ( Type People) through transaction BP on the CRM server it creates an entry in table but000 on the CRM side but the same entry does not exist in kna1 table on R/3 server.
When we check the BDOC through transaction smw01 on the CRM server there exist an entry with BDOC State Description " Send to receivers (not all have confirmed)" for BDOC Type BUPA_MAIN.
    II ] Configurations
We have done following settings before creating Business Partners through CRM
    Settings on CRM Server
1> RFC Destination "CARDONR3_DEV" for R3 server is defined in sm59 on the CRM side and is working OK.
2> Through transaction BUCF we have defined a number range named C1 ( 0005000000 to 0005999999) with External flag deselected.
3> Through SPRO we have defined a grouring C001 (CRM Customer) and assigned number range C1 to it.
    Settings on the R3 server
1> RFC Destination "CMDCLNT110" for CRM server is defined in sm59 on the R3 side and is working OK.
2> Through transaction OVZC we have defined cutomer number range named C1 ( 0005000000 to 0005999999) with External flag selected.
3> Through transaction OVT0 we have created Cutomer Account Group named Z001 which is copy of 0001 (Sold to Party). Number range C1 is assigned to the account group Z001.
4> Through transaction VOPA we have maintained the Partner function for customer master i.e Acct Grp Z001 is assigned to Function SP.
5> In transaction PIDE under CRM -> R3 assignment we have selected account group Z001 to Classification type B (i.e Customer)
    III ] Procedure Followed
1>  On the CRM server we execute the transaction "BP" .
2>  We Click on Create Person button.
    3> Following Selections are made
         a) Create in role : Sold-To-Party
         b) Grouping : CRM Customer
         c) Field Title, First name and Last name are selected
         d) In the tab Classification we select R/3 Account Group as "0001". System does not allow us to select the R/3 Account group "Z001"
4> On Saving the entry Business Partner is created in table but000 on the CRM side.
5> The above entry is not replicated in table kna1 on R3 side as expected.
    IV ] Observation
We are not able to select account group "Z001" in the BP creation screen. When we run the Intial Load (R3AS) on CRM server for object "DNL_CUST_ACGRPB" (i.e AccountingGrp Business Partner) (Replication from R3 to CRM)  it shows the status done in screen R3AM1 but the entry for account grouip Z001 which is created manually on R3 side during the configuration phase is not replicated on the CRM side.
We have referred a note for the above error which said that the basis patch "SAP_BASIS" should be at level 56 but we are already on Patch Level 56.
    Please guide us.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Yatin

    Hi Yatin,
Glad to hear one of the problem has resolved.
In order to simplify the analysis, I assume few things
    from your information :
    1. Connection between CRM and R/3 are correctly run
    2. Other necessary customizing Objects relate to BP
have been downloaded properly to CRM.
Few things you can check :
    1. Did you enter Correspondence Language & Language
in CRM BP ? just make sure you did.
    2. Try to complete minimum data such as Search Term,
Street/House, Postal Code / City and Country in CRM BP.
    3. Check the detail Error message in SMW01 (can you get
more detail - normally you can click on SHOW BDOC Msg
       ERROR)
    You also can trace/debug LUW,:
    - use tcode SMQ1 to see the stopped queue for that error
      transfer
    - Click menu Go To -> QOUT Scheduler
Click on R/3 destination and deactivate/deregister it
    - In SMQ1 select the error queue, double click on it.
and after next screen double click again
    - Then Start DEBUG LUW
    - Insert debug breakpoint in statement Call Transaction
      and execute F8
    - When it stopped, Change the variable mode to A
it will show you the missing/incomplete fields.
You need to register/activate back the R/3 destination after you have finish debugging.
Hope this helps, let me know the result
    Cheers,
    Gun.

  • Product replication from R/3 to CRM

    Hi Experts,
<u>Project:</u> I'm implementing a Sales and Marketing project and the scope involves Activity, Lead & Opportunity Management
<u>Background:</u> I've successfully done all the configurations. I've also migrated all the Business Partners and Products successfully from R/3. All the customizing objects have been migrated and are in the done state. All the queues are working fine and are empty. Even the heirarchies and categories have been migrated from R/3.
<u>Problem:</u> Though the Products have been replicated from R/3 are not visible in the transaction <b>commpr01</b>.
<u>Business Impact:</u> The project is stuck due to this issue and i have missed the GoLive.
Would request all to share their expertise and rescue me out of this problem.
    In Anticipation
    Arvind

    Hi
Pls go through following note, it might help you
"Before data can be transferred from the ERP material master to the product master, certain Customizing information must be transferred. Once this information has been transferred without errors, the material master records can be transferred. The data is transferred using middleware. The Customizing information transferred determines, for example, how the product ID is stored in the product master and which product data can be created.
Unless indicated otherwise, the information contained in this info object is relevant to the ERP material master for industries and to the ERP article master for retail. Retail users are requested to substitute:
    &#9679;      Article for material
&#9679;      Merchandise category for material group
    Prerequisites
If a product hierarchy is used in the ERP system:
&#9679;     You have created the numbering scheme R3PRODHIER in the CRM system for the product hierarchy from the ERP system, making sure that the numbering scheme precisely corresponds to the structure for the product hierarchy in the ERP system (that is, structure PRODHS). This numbering scheme is essential for the data to be created correctly.
&#9679;     The number of levels in the numbering scheme must be the same as the number of fields in structure PRODHS, and the number of digits for each level must be the same as the length of the corresponding field in structure PRODHS.
For more information, see in the Implementation Guide (IMG) Cross-Application Components ® SAP Products ®Product Category ® Define Category Numbering Schemes.
    Features
    The following information is transferred:
&#9679;     Information for converting the ERP material number to the product ID
This is whether the material number is stored lexicographically in the ERP system and the length of the product ID in the database of the ERP system.
    &#9679;     ERP material groups
This information is transferred to the hierarchy R3MATCLASS.
&#9679;     Information in the ERP material type that determines which data can be created for a product
This is transferred to the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP (product subtype). The hierarchy has two levels. The first level contains the categories MAT_ for materials and SRV_ for services. In the case of materials, the second level is a sublevel of MAT_ and contains the material types imported from ERP, each with the prefix MAT_. For example, the ERP material type HAWA (trading goods) is created as the category MAT_HAWA.
In addition, the SAP-defined CRM set types are assigned to the categories of the hierarchy R3PRODSTYP as follows:
&#9675;     The following set types are assigned to the category MAT_:
&#9632;      COMM_PR_MAT (basic data on materials)
    &#9632;      COMM_PR_SHTEXT (description)
&#9632;      COMM_PR_UNIT (conversion of units of measure)
    &#9632;      COMM_PR_LGTEXT1 (basic texts)
As a result, these set types are inherited by all material types.
&#9675;     The following set types are also assigned to the category MAT_ if the status Sales is assigned to the material type in the ERP system:
    &#9632;      CRMM_PR_SALES (sales: distribution chain)
&#9632;      CRMM_PR_SALESA (sales: control fields, units of measure, and quantities)
    &#9632;      CRMM_PR_SALESG (sales: groupings)
    &#9632;      CRMM_PR_TAX (sales: taxes)
    &#9632;      CRMM_PR_LGTEXT2 (sales: texts)
    &#9632;      CRMM_PR_LGTEXT (texts)
    &#9679;     ERP product hierarchies
This information is transferred to the CRM hierarchy R3PRODHIER.
    Activities
           1.      Using transaction R3AS, transfer the following middleware objects for the class CUSTOMIZING:
&#9675;     DNL_CUST_PROD0 (storage form of material numbers in sending system)
&#9675;     DNL_CUST_PROD1 (material types, material groups, and product hierarchy)
&#9675;     DNL_CUST_PROD3 (material statuses in sales and distribution)
           2.      Using transaction COMM_HIERARCHY, check whether the corresponding hierarchies have been created in CRM.
           3.      Check in Customizing for Cross-Application Components whether the storage form (lexicographical or not) is correct for the material number transferred, by choosing SAP Products ® Basic Settings ®Define Output Format and Storage Form of Product IDs.

  • Multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM

    Hi Gurus,
We are trying to implement multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM.
As per SAP.help.com, it says that we can configure multiple free goods scenario in standalone CRM system.
We tried to set up this in our system.  Basically we want to implement the scenario, where a user wants to  purchase item A, he should get a prompt for choosing between two free goods  B and C.
We did the relevant IMG settings required for Free goods at  IMG ->CRM -> Basic Functions -> Free Goods.-> Set up Free Goods
We also did the relevant item category determination where we have made an entry with
Item Usage = " Free Goods" , Main item cat. = "TAN' , Item Category = "TANN".
Now we went to create condition records in the path  "SAP Menu -> Master Data -> Prices and Conditions -> SAPCND/GCM - Maintain condition"
We chose Application ="PRT", MaintenanceGrp="PRT_FGOODS", Maintenance context ="GCM"
Then while creating conditon records , when I try to create two condition records where the Main Product is same but free good product is different, the system is not allowing to save these two condition records.
it is giving error "Overlapping validity periods for two condition records".
Please advice, if i am missing something. Thanks in advance for your help.
    thanks,
    Randhir
Edited by: Randhir Soni on Feb 8, 2010 8:12 AM

Constraints in free goods in R3 taken from SAP library
Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: u2018With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of chargeu2018 or u2018If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of chargeu2018.
Free goods are not supported in combinations with material structures (for example, product selection, BOM, variants with BOM explosion).
Free goods are only supported for sales orders with document category C (for example, not quotations).
Free goods are not supported for deliveries without reference to a sales order.
Free goods cannot be used in make-to-order production, third-party order processing and scheduling agreements.
If you defined a free goods for variants in a generic article (only SAP Retail), you can only process the variants in the purchase order and goods receipt individually (as single articles). In other words, you cannot process them using the generic article matrix.
This answers your qn Not possible in R3
If you are on Retail scenario this is possible thro bonus buy schemes
But a lot of customizations needs to be done and you need a retail server to do that

    Hello Expert Zone,
Finally I started working on the CRM extraction, and here is my scenario.
Source system: 300 warehouses worth of member data.
    Target: Blank/empty.
Objective: Copy /extract member/membership data from source by warehouse type ( 320 - 340 only ), to bring in 20 warehouse worth of data, and nothing else..
What template should be used in this case? appreciate if someone can share your inputs with step by step procedure.

    Hello Vikram,
I see this query related to the discussion we had in your previous thread:
    http://scn.sap.com/message/15025928#15025928
If i understand correctly, you have CRM loyalty management coupled with SAP POS.
What i understand is that there is SAP Retail system and there is SAP CRM.
For CRM data reduction, TDMS provides date criteria. TDMS CRM does not reduce CRM loyalty management data, which means that the data in these tables will be fully copied across from sender to receiver system.
We do have TDMS Retail solution where we do reduction based on below.
    1) Store/Site(In retail terminology)
    2) Customer number
    3) Date
Let me know if i have answered your question.

  • Loyalty Management for Retail

    Hi,
My company is implementing SAP Loyalty Management which is a part of SAP CRM. If anyone has worked on implementing Loyalty Management for a retail customer please provide some inputs.
Does any one have best practice documents for Loyalty Management.
    Thanks
    Barry

    Hi Barry,
you're right. SAP is coming up with a new tool called SAP Promotion Management for Retail. Basically, the tool provides a solution for the planning of promotions including the creation of a flyer.
SAP Promotion Management is a separate solution with interfaces to SAP ERP to get Master Data from the ERP System and to create promotions after the promotion planning is finished. If I remember correctly, the interfaces are provides with EHP4.
Please have a look at ...
    ... this SAP Webcast: http://www.sap.com/community/events/2009_06_17_EPM/index.epx

Also, there is a german documentation, unfortunately, I didn't find the english one... sorry, for this: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_pmr70/helpdata/de/82/FC25B90C244E47878B3EA0BE970F88/frameset.htm

  • Retail Execution Application Device Registration Issues

    Hello Community,
I am having issues registering the Retail Execution application with a user in CRM.
I am testing with an iOS device where I downloaded the application from the app store and an Android device where I got the APK from the SAP marketplace.
The guide I am following is the Administrator's Guide SAP Retail Execution 3.2.0.
There are a few issues i've come across which I think might be contributing to my devices not enrolling.
I've completed the setup of the environment till the point in the documentation for Data Change Notification where I need to create an RFC connection to the SMP server.
I entered the IP address for the SUP server with the port as 80. Is port 80 correct?
The username ive setup as supAdmin@Admin with the password.
When I test the connection I get a : Status HTTP Response 404 error.
Another issue I have is that in the documentation under the section enrolling a device using the Relay Server, all the fields are referring to SMP username, SMP Farm ID, SMP Activation code and so on. The connection details I have used in other apps are as follows:
    Server : <ip of relay server>
Farm : Relay server Farm ID
Username : jcommerford@crm           (CRM login ID @ security configuration - crm is my HTTPAuthentication security configuration I created in SUP)
    password :
Port : 80 (relay server port)
    URL suffix : leave blank
Domain : The new domain I created in SUP and where the Rex MBO is deployed.
So it isnt making sense as to what details need to go into here.
    Lastly...
What is the absolute minimum setup of the CRM system and SUP to register a user through the relay server?
I would like to comment that I havnt performed the initial download of Master Data using DCN but didnt think this was needed to enrol a device. Other than that the guide was followed and configuration done according to it.
Let me know if anymore information is needed as I am very stressed to get this issue sorted out.
    Thank you
    Jared

Has the registration worked without the Relay server setup? I would suggest you try that first.
I am assuming you already set the SM59 destinations for CRM to SMP and trusted RFC to corresponding ECC (but this is not necessarily the issue, because the registration is failing).
Please confirm that the RFC Destination is set as follows (use the supAdmin user on the Logon & Security page)
Check the security provider on SMP (your's may be different but I am using the following for POC and it works)
Could you please confirm if the REX package was deployed correctly on the SMP server by selecting the connection pools for both CRM and ECC for corresponding MBO's
Please post a log of the SMP server once you switch to direct registration to SMP (without relay server)
    Thanks
    Raza.

  • Sales Document Creation in CRM System

    Dear all,
We are implementing CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0 (IS-Retail) for our client. As per the Business Process Customer creation take's place in CRM, which uploads Customer Records into ECC system.
Material Master (Article), Pricing Procedure and Condition Types are being maintained in ECC system only.
Now the new requirement is to create Quotations in CRM system, in turn it has to upload into ECC system. We have to enable or maintain all article data, Pricing Data and Discounts in CRM system also.
I don't know how could we exchange the Article Master Records (Material), Pricing Procedures and condition types between ECC system.
I have expertise in CRM Marketing. by getting basic understanding of CRM and ECC data flow landscape, Middleware Settings and Object downloads, I have confidence to map the requirement into SAP successfully.
I request you to educate me on this scenario, your help and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Raghu ram.

    Hi,
i'm not quite sure about ECC retail, but for sure, as per CRM 5.0 and ECC 6, depending on your scenario, you may not need whole complete set of pricing, nor the condition tables to be maintained in CRM.
you can use minimum pricing which is basic condition type PR00. once the quotation is saved in CRM, during the replication process, the pricing will be determined in the ERP and passed back to CRM. so when you look into CRM quotation document, you will be able to find all the condition types maintained in CRM.
however, this scenario is not suitable if you require customer to review the pricing before saving the quotation, let say internet sales / e-commerce. then in that case you'll probably need to have complete set of pricing in CRM.
    hope this helps.
