Regarding CRM extraction.....
Hi Gurus,
I have few questions regarding CRM extraction.
Q1: If we enhance a CRM transactional Datasource, do we have to write the ABAP logic in SE19 or CMOD or both?
Q2: If we enhance a CRM MasterData Datasource, do we have to write the ABAP logic in SE19 or CMOD or both?
Q3: What is the significance of the T-CODES BWA1, BWA5, BWA7 ?
Q4: When do you implement the BADI CRM_BWA_MFLOW and when do we implement the BADI CRM_BWA_SFLOW and when do we implement both of them?
Q5: What is the significance of the function module CRM_BADI_GET_BDOC? Is there any other function module which is used in CRM extraction that has to be implemented in coding?
Please throw some light on my questions.
Thanks
Nice day

SamHI,
For Delta Extraction of CRM to BI pelase follwo the below steps

Hi friends
I am new in this can any one send me the material regarding the Transaction Launcher, BOR object so that i can work in Interaction Center .
Any material regarding CRM ICWC will give me a grate help.
My id is :[email protected]
Thanks in advance

Pulkit AgrawalHi John,
In CRM 2007, it will be more easier than CRM_ICWC_TEST parameter.
If there is an TEXT box or table grid, you may put cursor in the TEXT box, or select the row of the grid, and press F2, then you will have a popup with all info you needed, more than the view info itself.
For example, in IC Webclient, Service Orders, Overview,
If you put cursor in Description text box, press F2, you will find
Component = ICCMP_BTSHEAD
View = BTSHeader
Something like this.
Then you will be able to display the configuration in
transaction bsp_wd_cmpwb, by enter component, and Display button.
Then expand the view folder, and find the BTSHeader.
CRM 2007 has quite different structure. Thus we might have to do things bit differently.

Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards,
Gayathri.Hi Vinod,
Thanks much for the response. I had not looked at the sap note earlier on, saw it after your reply.
However, we are not using IE7.0 yet. I would like to mention here that independent of the portal, when I launch the CRM IC Webclient on any browser, it appears well and good, but when launched from within Enterprise Portal, page appears minus the toolbar. Do you have any idea/pointers on the same. However I plan to get the notes correction done and would like to thank you for an useful answer.
Pls do let me know if there is anything missing on EP 7.0 or CRM 2007 that needs to be done additionally.
Thanks and regards,

Regarding CRM middleware and XI
In SAP CRM middleware acts as a heart of CRM.
that means communications with CRM server from any other server is through middleware, right?
In netweaver ,XI acts also the same like the integration server.
right?(both SAP and NON SAP server)
please explain the above two statements clearly.
thanks in advance
kpsmoorthy. The role of CRM "middleware" vs XI is often misunderstood.
Let's go back many many years and understand why we have CRM "middleware".
Before XI even existed SAP had to have a way to transfer data between an R/3 system and the CRM system. The CRM system needed to have a "replica" of the necessary master data to capture sales orders for e-commerce or mobile sales. Thus SAP created the "middleware". The middleware consist of a new dimension "plugin" on the R/3 system and code on the CRM system, built upon the concept of queued RFC. Basically the standard transactions such as XK01, XD01, VA01, etc. were modified to generate bdoc's whenever data was changed or created. These changes then flowed to CRM via queued RFC.
CRM middleware primary goal was to receive data from R/3 and to send data back to ERP. In release 3.0/3.1 it was expanded to allow external systems to receive and transfer data into CRM via the XIF adapter. After the XIF adapter was released, SAP introduced the XI system. The XI system was designed for integration between systems. However the CRM middleware being robust and not requiring extra systems still exists. If you want to integrate one SAP CRM system with an SAP ERP system then the "crm middleware" is the application tool that is isued.
If you need to integrate SAP CRM with external systems then you would use a combination of XI + the CRM XIF adapter. In CRM 52/60 you can use the web services toolset in addition to the XIF adapter.
To summarize:
"CRM Middleware" - Specialized integration scenario between SAP CRM & SAP ERP
XI - your integration server that can do a lot more than "crm middleware".
Take care,
Stephen -

Table regarding crm lead partner function
HI All,
I am implemanting badi for authorization ( CRM_ORDER_AUTH_CHECK ) so i am getting the partner number based on guid from crmd_order_index next i have to find the partner function assigned to and person responsible based on the guid so that i can implement the authorization.
any help will be given highest pointsHi Amiya,
If you need the Partner functions for Partners mentioned in crmd_order_index, try using view CRMV_LINKPARTNER.
The GUID_HI of this view is the guid of crmd_order_index.
also, in order to improve performance, you can alo look at crating a zcopy of this view with only those partner functions which are relevant to your authorization check. this will reduce number of records and thus, database read performance.
Hope this helps.

Whether it is right G/l,
It's depends on you & your fico & client team.
If this account exclusively defined for refurbished material, then it is right and if this g/l is defined for any other transaction then it wrong one.
Now Related to COPA entries,
Settle the order for which you are consuming this material by KO88, (Remove tick mark of TEST RUN)
Go to details>>>Accounting document>>>double click on Profitability analysis
and see values are updated in Cost field or not.

Integrate SAP DMS with SAP CRM
Hi Experts.
I'm currently performing an analysis to evaluate if SAP CRM and DMS are the ideal tools to replace a legacy system which has workflow and document management capabilities.
Thus I've been consulting the Documentation at http://help.sap.com regarding CRM , Knowlege Provider (from SAP WAS) and Document Management.
However I've been having some dificulties acquiring answers to some points, so I'm here trying to ask if you can provide me with information/documentation/links that would enlighten me on the refered points.
I'll will list the requirements that we're supposed to achieve and I would like to know if it is possible
to implement them using CRM and DMS
Requirements:
- any given workflow is started upon arrival of a requisition at the application (the requisition is digitalized and sent)
- the workflow moves trought different departmens/users, each with their own set of permissions
- at any given time in the flow, a user can add a note to the flow. This note will become read-only for the next steps in the flow
- the user will receive visual alerts (blinking windows, different colours in the process title-header) regarding
process priority, new process arrival, process deadline
- the current application allows to send e-mails
- they require the abbility to extract reports and statistics from the processes
I have the following ideas from what I've read:
- i've seen a post where someone talked about DMS workflow. Does DMS allows to create workflows such as : document goes to one department for analysis, other for approval and another for release?
- I also read that it is possible to create different status for a document and also a status network? Is this
the workflows that DMS creates or something else that can be used in parallel
- I know we can define responsibles for documents in DMS. Can this be used to set permissions?
- Every reference I saw to DMS, I never find a reference to a front-end besides trough the KM in the Portal
( the enterprise Portal is not an option to be used at this time and probably in the future)
- Is it possible to integrate DMS with CRM's Interaction Center WebClient
- When I go to SPRO in my CRM instalation, I find in the SAP IMG-> SAP WAS-> Knowledge Management -> Document Management Service. Does this means that I can use DMS at will or must I install something more?
- Is the meccanism of adding notes to process capable of being implemented in DMS? The user must be able to add more one note.I was thinking if the mechanism of Logical Documents in DMS would allow to add simple .TXT files thus emulating the added note.
I would be greatly appreciated for any help you could provide me on these questions Obviously, good answers
will be rewarded accordingly.
Thanks in advance.

Let me brief U my scenario. ECC 6.0 & CRM 2007 are in place but not the content server. I'm using SAP default DMS data base to check-in the originals through DMS.
Now I want to give a link of the DIR created in ECC DMS to CRM object for Example Opportunity ---> Attachments Tab.
When I do the search using document type in attachment tab I'm getting a message No documents found.
Plz guide me how to integrate DMS with CRM. Plz let me know if any other config to be done.

Hello Every one,
I am new to this forum. I would like some information regarding CRM.
I would like to know:
What are CRM IDocs? How they differ from Idocs in SAP R/3?
What is CRM module?
How XI and Crm are related?
If anyone can provide me with web links to clarify and help me understand the above better, that will be of graet help.
Regards
Rahul.Rahul,
CRM IDOCS only differ from R/3 IDOCS in the fact that the IDOC types are different. In other words the underlying IDOC technology is the same, the business objects that the CRM IDOC's model, may differ from the available R/3 IDOCs.
CRM Module:
Customer Relationship Management. Designed to handle your customer-centric activities of your business. Sales, Marketing, Service, and E-Commerce are the primary functions of the this module. Your best starting place for the 50,000 foot overview is www.sap.com. I would look at the product solution briefs and join the sap.com community to look at some of the in-depth solution briefs. You can also look at http://service.sap.com/crm for a lot more background material.
CRM and XI are related in the following:
1. Both are products from SAP
2. CRM is a business application based on SAP Netweaver
XI is a tool that is part of the SAP Netweaver platform
3. XI can be used to handle integration from CRM to non-SAP systems. Integration between CRM, R/3, and BW is handled by a module called SAP CRM Middleware.
4. XI is a true EAI tool, CRM Middleware is a plugin module to CRM, BW, and R/3.
Hopefully that gives you some high level overview of how things are related. You best bet for learning is to read all the overview documents on CRM that you can find on either sap.com or service.sap.com/crm.
Good Luck,
Stephen
