CRM Service Ticket - Item Category error - IC Webclient

Hi
Once I confirm the customer account, I click on "Service Ticket".
I'm getting the following error "No Item Category could be created". I've taken a look at a few of the Item Category Groups & Usages and none of them appear to be exactly related to a Service Ticket. I  believe this maybe the issue.
Would anyone have some guidance on this.
Points will be awarded for the right info.
Many Thanks
Arden

Thanks Johnny
Do you know if this resolves the issue with the creation of the Service Ticket or does it just make it easier to link the Header & Item Level attributes.

    Hello,
this is a topic where i´m also very interested and i already did some analysis on this.
There is now standard way from SAP to replicate CRM Service Request to CS Service Notification.
I´m thinking about a customer solution using a RFC function call to create the CS Service Notification in background.

  • CRM Service Ticket

I have a CRM Service Ticket which contains a Survey.  Which extractor do I use to extract the Survey from the Service Ticket? Thanks

    Hi Miguel,
I was searching the internet for a solution in order to get the Bapi_Busprocessnd_Createmulti create a service ticket. I am also using it from a SAP portal application just like you.... and therefore everything should be RFC enabled. I have a few questions and I hope you can help with those:
    -  You mention that at first you should use the CRM_GUID_CREATE function module in order to create a guid as input for the bapi Bapi_Busprocessnd_Createmulti. But how can call this function module because it is not RFC enabled?
    - Is it possible for you to share the input parameters that you have used in order to create a service ticket in CRM?
I hope you can help me with these questions.... that would be fantastic!
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,

  • Error in CRM WEB UI : Item category could not be determined.

    Hi,
I am trying to create Service Confirmation. I got an error sayin for line item 20: Item category could not be determined. Conversion Factors are invalid.
Can you please tell me, when such type of error comes?
Do we need to check any configuration for this?
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
Such type of errors generally comes when the customizations are not maintained properly in the system. Every One Order transaction has a Transaction Type and one or more Item Categories associated to it. And in the Item Category determination you need to associate all the Item Categories and the Transaction Type.
In this case, it looks like the Item Category is not properly configured. And also the Item Category Determination is not happening properly.
The best way to trouble shoot this kind of error is to get in touch with the Functional Consultant who has configured the Transaction. Alternatively, you cal also have a look at the standard transactions which are delivered by SAP to have a feel of all the places where there might be potential errors.
You can check this in the IMG Customization. Refer to this link for a complete detail: [Business Transaction|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/92/8269126d1547578aab640f097de32c/frameset.htm]
    Hope this helps.

  • Service order Item category on Contract determination

    Hi
We have contract determination on CRM service orders and it is working as expected. Our Service contract makes the Service order free of charge but its still generates the debit memo in ECC system with zero value.
We don't want this to happen so a work around will to have the item categories different when the Service order has a contract. These item categories will not be configured for ECC billing integration in R/3 plug-in hence no debit memo will be generated.
My question to Service gurus is that is there another way of achieving this? if not is there a way to flip the item category after contract determination without putting in any code.
    Thanks and Regards
    Rupesh Patil

    Rupesh,
I dont think we can flip item category without coding..!. but certainly possible with coding.

  • Service PO-Item category D and A/c assignment category K

    Hello all,
I am novice in service procurement. Kindly help me understand this scenario.
Client has created service PO with item category D and assignment category K.
There is no service based IV or GR based IV clicked. If i see , services tab , in item details, it is totally blank. and in PO history, i can see all IR-L documents with 940 EUR as total, while the PO is for 1000 EUR.
Limit shown in PO is 1000 EUR. Now if we go to MIRO screen, the system suggests remaining amount as 300 EUR instead of remaining 60 EUR.
Kindly let me know your feedback on this.

  • Service Contract (item category D)

    Hello,
I created a contract for service for painting of the building. Used docuement type WK, item category D and account assigned cost centre.
I gave at the line item level (outline level) the description as painting of building and at service specification level as painting. I am not using service master.
Now when I create a PO referencing this contracts, the item level gets copied but the service specifications  short text, qty, gross price donot get copied. what short text I gave at service specification level in contract doesnot get copied in po. Interestingly, the value at item level is also zero.
Then i created another scenario by creating the service master for painting and again created the contract using the service master. still the servie specification short text is not filled. In both cases the system behaviour is same- means no service short text, no qty, no gross price get copied in po made referencing the service contract.
Is this a standard behaviour in system or something is missed out.
Pl help, as I tried everything could not locate the problem
    Thanks and regards

  • ITem category  error while creating sales order through

    Hi,
I am trying to create a sales order through Bapi  and in between im getting the below error.
' Item category TAM is not defined for non material items'.
Can anybody pls provide the solution for this.
    Thanks

speak to your SD functional person.  The Error is pretty self explanatory; SAP is telling you that the item category for that order item is not permitted by your SD configuration.

  • Is there any to recover CRM service ticket from BDOCs

    Dear SDN team,
Some service tickets were deleted from our CRM system when I was re-processing BUS_TRANS_MSG type of BDOCs. Right now these BDOCs are kept in our CRM system in "Not Final" / "Intermediate State". The BDoc State Description is "After qRFC step(intermediate state)".
Is there any way to recover these deleted service tickets from BDOCs ?
    Thanks,
    Shirley
Edited by: shirley ren on Sep 4, 2010 5:07 PM

    Hi,
Can you let me know how the Service Tickets got deleted when you reprocessed the BDOCs? Did you deleted those BDOC's? I created a Sales Order in my system and tried reproducing the same scenario. But, Re-Processing wasn't deleting the Sales Orders. You can still navigate to the Service Tickets by double clicking on them and then you can see them in the Classic and Bdoc Ext. data.
I will also try to replicate the scenario. But let me know if you come across any more details. Also, any one order document should not be deleted from the system. It should be archived and then can be deleted after a long time. So, you can also check out with the basis consultant as to get these archiving strategy. Then you can retrieved these lost documents.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • Invoice for BOM_Normal material(TAN item category) error

    Hi Sap gurus,
We are facing one production issue.they are creating a SO/Delivery/billing with below line items:
    1.Normal material
    2.BOM
    3 BOM components1
    4.BOM components2
    5.Normal material
    6.Normal material
but while creating billing, the BOM components would be populate automatically by using user exit.
Now issue is while creating billing, its not showing last normal material, i.e. its looks like below
    1.Normal material
    2.BOM
    3 BOM components1
    4.BOM components2
    5.Normal material
    6. MISSING IN BILLING LEVEL
But in document flow the 6th material entry is available with out qty, amount & UOM.
please suggest me on above point, where I have to check?? (We have checked in copy controls but we are not finding any result here)
But This is a very peculiar case where the business scenario has not be identified and the system behavior is random. We are still
analyzing the root cause of the issue, why this happened only for certain invoices and working fine for other invoices with same 6th material.
if now we are creating billing with above (6th normal material) it's working fine.
But in PRD now we have to correct all wrongly populated billing documents and we have to found the issue why its happening.
    Please guide me on above.
    BR,
    Shabs

    Sir,
My SD consultant stating that there is no problem with copy controls/split func but as a abaper I have checked in all circumstances..
So its happening only for 5 orders & if we tried to create complete cycle in production SO-->Delry-->Billing it's created successfully.
But now how we can correct the old 5 invoices..
And one strange thing is in VBRP table the last material ENTRY is not showing but in flow VBFA the material entry is showing without qty, item no and UOM.
Request you to suggest me how to resolve the issue.
    Thank you in advance.
    Thanks,

  • Call types ,service, category , Responsible group in service ticket

    Hi All,
I have to  config Date as drop down to  1. Responsible Group 2. service ,3.category 4. call type in SERVICE TICKET on Web client .
can any body please tell me , where i have to do config to get data as drop down in service ticket .
    Thanks,
    Aravind.

    Hi Aravind,
You can configure drop downs in service tickets using category modeler which is a BSP application.
    1. maintain categorization profile
IMG Path: CRM>IC WebClient>Business Transactions-->Define Categorization Profiles, copy default and rename it
    2. Create subject profile
Customer Relationship Management > Transactions> Settings for Complaints> Settings for Subjects> Define Subject Profiles,
    3. maintain the subject profile in ur service ticket
4.you can add CRMM_ERM_CAT to your favourites. Here you will have to make a schema first and then maintain the application area as service ticket, maintain the correct subject profile, then you can create nodes and subnodes and define the drop down values.
    5. after doing this, remember to change the status to Released in the basic data tab page of category modeler application
No you will be able to see the drop down values in category modeler

  • What is Item Category in SAP CRM ? Where exactly it will be useful ?

What is Item Category in SAP CRM ? Where exactly it will be useful ?  Please explain in detail.
Edited by: Rajanand Tadakamadla on Nov 6, 2010 12:46 PM

    Hello Rajanand,
    1. Item Category :
You define the item categories for business transactions.Like transaction types, an item category is assigned to one or more business transaction categories
An item category specifies the properties and attributes of a business transaction item, and therefore controls how the item is processed
First, you assign the item category to an item object type. The item object type defines the business context in which an item category is used.
    ExampleBUS200140- CRM Service Product Item.
    2. Item Category Group
With the help of the item category group, you review the various products from a business view for item category determination. Enter the item category group for each product in the product master.(T Code COMMPR01)
During business transaction processing, the system creates the item category from the item category group for the product, and from the business transaction category, and proposes it in the document.
You can assign item categories to business transaction types and item category groups in the process Maintain item category determination.
    3.Item Categories Usages
The item category usage is generally used for items that do not refer to a product (for example, Free Items, text items).
The item category usage is assigned to the respective transaction types when the item category is determined. When processing documents, the system determines the item category from the transaction type and item category group or the item category usage and proposes it in the document.

  • Missing Item Category Group data in Material SD data in CRM

    Hi crm experts,
Please help us. We are trying to identify what's the rootcause of the problem we experienced in CRM regarding the Item category group. We are maintaining material master in ECC and it will be replicated in CRM via middleware. The data item category group is properly maintained in ECC but when we checked in CRM, only 3 of the sales areas have it.
    Sales Area 1 - YES
    Sales Area 2 - NO
    Sales Area 3 - YES
    Sales Area 4 - YES
So we will do a request load for the data to show also on Sales Area 2.
Item category group were maintained in the ff tables:
    ECC table TPTM
    CRM table CRMV_ITEM_CAT_GR
Can you please let us know how we can pin point this problem so that this will not happen again? We want to apply a permanent solution if there is. Hoping for your kind assistance. Thanks!
    Best regards,
    Mike

    hi
    General item category group
Materials grouping that helps the system to determine item categories during sales document processing.
*If a group is configured specific to distribution channel, it has priority if the corresponding activity is distribution channel-dependent
Item category group from material master
A grouping of materials that the system uses to determine item categories during the processing of sales documents.
the difference between the two lies in the specificity to the distribution channel
