CRS PRKC-1044

Hi,
I have a problem that I don`t understand concerning installation of CRS Oracle.
Yesterday I was installing CRS and on stage: 'Remote Operations Pending' I had problem with „/bin/tar”. Now I know that this was the fault of bad configuration NTPD.
I deleted all installed files from destination directory (and oraInventory) because I wanted make reinstallation
But after this event I really had a problem then, because on stage 'Specify Cluster Configuration' I received information in console:
+[PRKC-1044 : Failed to check remote command execution setup for node PK.localdomain using shells /usr/bin/ssh and /usr/bin/rsh+
+PK.localdomain: Connection refused]]+
and pop-up that: nodes are not clusterable...
I met this error earlier, but now my SSH configuration is correct (in my opinion :) - yesterday i was installing CRS(!))
This is very different, my CVU says that:

  • PRKC-1044 - During Clusterware Install

    Hi,
I am installing Oracle Clusterware 10.2.0.1, on a two nodes cluster.
I am using RedHat 4, Kernel 2.6.9-34EL, ASMLib 2, no OCFS installed.
ssh is working, no password is required to ssh between the nodes. I am also running the ssh-agent and add commands on the OUI session,
In the cluster configuration screen on the OUI, I get the following errors:
PRKC-1044 - FAILED TO CHECK REMOTE COMMAND EXECUTION...
Seems like something related to ssh or rsh. rsh is not configured on the cluster.
Any thoughts what can cause this error?
    Thanks In advance,
    Idan.

    Hi All,
    OS:OEL5
    Database Version:10201_database_linux32
    cluster ware:10201_clusterware_linux32
I am getting the following error when i try to install oracle clusterware using OUI.
PRKC-1044:failed to check remote command execution setup for node using shells /usr/bin/ssh and /usr/bin/rsh
I loaded SSH keys into the memory using the below commands
    $ exec /usr/bin/ssh-agent $SHELL
    $ /usr/bin/ssh-add
    If i run
$ssh rac1 date and $ssh rac2 date ia m getting desired result with out supplying the password.
Even i run the runcluvfy.sh utility and the report displays nothing is failed on both the nodes which is a green signal to proceed for clusterware installation.
can any one help me to resolve this error?
Note:I am installing it on VMware server2.0
    Thank You All

    SM,
Have you verified if the SSH automatic connection between (referred below) nodes works WITHOUT prompting for a password?

    Hi
i am installing Oracle Clusterware(10.2.0.1.0) on Solaris 10
and i am getting the above mentioned error PRKC-1044 - During Clusterware Install .
for that i have checked the SSH configuration and from both Parivate and public IP in can able to login without prompting for password .And i have created a Link file also for /usr/bin/ssh /usr/local/bin/ssh
when i run CVU it says that no user equliance ...
do we need any patch for cluster or i have install any OS cluster software for this issue...

    1. when i run CVU it says that no user equliance ...
As per the above looks like the OS user on all nodes don't have same id's ?
Can you check if the id is same on all nodes.
    2. Before you start installation check if ssh is working fine or not.
    $ssh <nodename> date

Please help me where I am making mistake.
    Thanks

    1) I have created single node standard database called mydb in /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1 home (hostname linux1)
    2) installed crs and asm on linux1 and linux2 and shared storag on ASM(which external HD running ieee1294 cards and ports) . no database is created on linux1 or linux2
    3) I want to convert mydb to RAC DATABASE called mydb1 instance on linux1 and mydb2 on linux2 machine respectively.
    4) copied and modifed xml as you see above called ConvertTomydb.xml to $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory
    5) when I run
    $rconfig ConvertTomydb.xml from $ORACLE_HOME/bin directory , i get the following error
    <ConvertToRAC>

  • Getting ssh error while starting 10g cluster installation

    Hi frnds
I am getting the following error while running 10g clusterware installation.Actually i done the ssh setup mentioned in the oracle doc.Generated both keys (rsa, dsa) on both nodes and copied these 2 files from both nodes to authorized_key file and copy this file to both nodes and ran $shell and ssh-add.Whenever i logs and run this SSH User Equivalency on node1(from where i run oui) and its persisting with other sessions but if logoff and logon i have to run the $shell and ssh-add to enable it.My dought is whether this ssh have to enable always or only while using OUI to install and applying patches cos this Equivalency dont need to run on second node correct ?
Caught Cluster Exception PRKC-1044 : Failed to check remote command execution setup for node racdb1.bsa.net.in using shells /usr/bin/ssh and /usr/bin/rsh

    Hi
thnks for that but when i run that exec $SHELL and ssh-add again in one session i can do ssh it other sessions without any problem but if i logoff and login it will reset to back.Whether this ssh have to enabled on first node(where i run OUI) always irrespective of logons and logout or whether i have to start any services ?

Yes, SSH equivalence is some thing you will need for clusterware install, operations, any future node additions and any kind of Oracle Home propagation. Get cluvfy's opinion on ssh equivalence, if cluvfy thinks it is working, it will work.
I would certainly run cluvfy before and after clusterware installation. Check out cluvfy documentation for pre crsinst and post crsinst options. Make sure to address all cluvfy errors and warnings before you proceed from each stage to the next stage of your RAC installation.
    Good luck

  • PRKC-1073 while installing the crs on solaris 10

when I install the crs 10201 on solaris 10, at the last step the setup failed and in the log I see:WARNING: Error while copying directory /u01/crs/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/crs with exclude file list 'null' to nodes 'RAC2'. [PRKC-1073 : Failed to transfer directory "/u01/crs/oracle/product/10.2.0.1/crs" to any of the given nodes "RAC2 ".

    and
PRKC-1031 : Error checking free space for / on RAC2
I am sure I have configured the network properly and the authority is right,I search in the metalink but got nothing, could anyone give some advice? thanks in advance

So let me get this right , you have a Sun box with a hostname RAC2 ? is that correct EXACTLY
from the first node can you do
    sftp /etc/hosts RAC2:/tmp/foofoo
    with NO passwords etc ?
RAC2 seems a poor hostname for a unix box.

Your 4MEM error code is indeed reporting to you that some of your RAM is not working properly (MEM = memory, i.e. RAM).
The fix for this (replacing the RAM) is normally covered under warranty for a computer as new as yours is. To get the free warranty repair I believe that you do need to bring your computer to an Apple-certified repair center, however. If you order the RAM and do it yourself, you will need to pay for the RAM and also go through the trouble of opening your computer to access the RAM, which is not that hard to do for some people, others prefer to have a technician do that.
I'd suggest that you have Apple do the RAM fix, if only so that the replacement RAM is covered as well going forward ...

  • Oracle CRS(10.1) installation fails

    Hi,
Following is a detailed synopsis of my unsuccessful attempt at installing Oracle Cluster Ready Services(10.1) on a two node Windows 2000 advanced server system with external SCSI hard disk.
Following is the Configuration of both the Nodes
    1.Intel Pentium P4 2.80 Ghz CPU
    2.512 MB RAM
    3.37 GB HDD
    4.Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4
    5.Adaptec SCSI CARD 39160 ULTRA160 SCSI Controller
6.Two -10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter (DLINK)
    Clusterware
    Oracle Cluster Ready Services 10.1.0.2
    Configuration for SCSI
    1.Model Make :SEAGATE
    2.Model Number :ST336607
    3.Firmware: 0007
    4.Model Name: Cheetah 10K.6
    5.Capacity: 36.7GB
    6.Speed: 10000 rpm
    Following are the pre-installation steps.
1.The system setup involved 2 identical nodes with Windows 2000 Advanced Server SP4 OS.
2.Two static Public IP's for both the nodes
3.Two private IP's which can be pinged. (1st Node Private IP 10.10.10.2 2nd Node Private IP 10.10.10.3)
4.Entry of the private IP's can also be found in the host file.
5.ORA_DBA win group was created on both the nodes.
6.Both the nodes are connected to a external SCSI hard disk
    CRS installation Steps
1.On the Cluster Configuration page the Public Node Names and corresponding Private Node Names were entered.
2.On the Network Interface Usage Page one interface was selected as Public (192.168.144.0) and the other interface was selected as Private (10.10.10.0)
3.On Disk formatting Options page the ‘Do not format any logical drives was selected’.
4.Finally the Logical partitions made on the SCSI hard disk were assigned to the OCR and voting disk.
OUI installed the Oracle folder and services on the primary node and on the remote node. But failed to start the services on both the nodes.
Following is snippet of the OUI installing log.

    hi
Configure SSH on each node in the cluster. Log in as the "oracle" user and perform the following tasks on each node.
    su - oracle
    mkdir ~/.ssh
    chmod 700 ~/.ssh
/usr/bin/ssh-keygen -t rsa # Accept the default settings.
The RSA public key is written to the ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub file and the private key to the ~/.ssh/id_rsa file.
Log in as the "oracle" user on RAC1, generate an "authorized_keys" file on RAC1 and copy it to RAC2 using the following commands.
    su - oracle
    cd ~/.ssh
    cat id_rsa.pub >> authorized_keys
    scp authorized_keys rac2:/home/oracle/.ssh/
Next, log in as the "oracle" user on RAC2 and perform the following commands.
    su - oracle
    cd ~/.ssh
    cat id_rsa.pub >> authorized_keys
    scp authorized_keys rac1:/home/oracle/.ssh/
The "authorized_keys" file on both servers now contains the public keys generated on all RAC nodes.
To enable SSH user equivalency on the cluster member nodes issue the following commands on each node.
    ssh rac1
    ssh rac2
You should now be able to SSH and SCP between servers without entering passwords.
    then use cluvfy utilty.
cluvfy comp sys -n node1,node2 -p crs -verbose
To verify the minimal system requirements on the nodes before installing Oracle Clusterware or RAC, use the sys component verification command. To check the system requirements for installing RAC, use the -p database argument, and to check the system requirements for installing Oracle Clusterware, use the -p crs argument.
    you can download
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/clustering/cvu/faq/cvufaq_11g.html#How_do_I_install_CVU
pls send us result of cluvfy
    hope this helps
