Cursors - bring to center (Labview 8.0 only)

Bring to center does not bring cursor to center unless scale multipler = 1.0
if multiplier is 1.0 and your x-scale is 0.0-100.0, then bring to center will set the cursor to 50.0 (correct)
Waveform graph , graph, properties, scales, multiplier = 2.0 (anything but 1.0) then
scale will be 0.0 - 200.0 and "Bring To Center" for that cursor will not consider the scale factor and will put cursor at 50.0 (not in center).
If your scale multiplier is 0.5 (your graph scale is 0.0-50.0), Bring To Center will set cursor at 50.0 which is at end of graph(not in center).
Labview Version 6.1 worked fine in this area. Is this a Labview 8.0 bug?

Here is an excerpt from LabVIEW help :
Bring to Center—Centers the cursor on the graph without changing the x- and y-scales. When the cursor mode is Single-Plot or Multi-Plot, this option centers the cursor on the plot on which the cursor is currently positioned and updates the cursor coordinates in the cursor legend. When the cursor mode is Free, this option centers the cursor in the plot area and updates the cursor coordinates in the cursor legend.
There is no built-in property to directly bring the cursor to center programmatically. However you can use the Cursor Position property to change position of the cursor programmatically.

The pop-up menu on the Cursor Legend for graphs includes an item: Bring to Center which moves the active cursor to the center of the plot.
Is this capability available programmatically? An Invoke Node method or Property Node? I would like to have a button on the FP which "retrieves" a free cursor. I can see complicated ways using Cursor Position and Scale: Range property nodes. I could not find anything as simple as the pop-up menu.

I take the Edit as "it fails as well". At least, it wouldn't surprise me if you meant it differently.
The reason:
Extreme zoom levels usually mean, that both endpoints of the scale do have a very small difference. Since the center is (at least in altenbach's code and i assume that the context menu function works similar) the average of both endpoint values, the difference between endpoint and average cannot be covered by the used numeric representation. So it computes an average, but that equals to one of the endpoints......
So this is rather a "works as expected" issue, even if not very nice and most likely considered a bug by the user (without above explanation).

Executing "bring to center" on a free cursor in a log XY graph brings the cursor to the top rim of the graph (instead of the center)

dear LV users,
selecting "bring to center" for a free cursor in a XY graph does not
bring the cursor into the center of the graph, but instead the command brings it to the
mean/average value. This is not an issue for a linear mapping
of the axis [due to the fact that the center of the axis is equal to
the middle/average value of the end points on the axis]. But when
mapping of the axis is logarithmic, the cursor ends up on the top of
the screen. That is because the average value of the end points
(min(y_axis)+max(y_axis))/2) is not equal to the center of the axis.
Is that a wished behavior, please?
Example: For an y_axis = [1..100], the awaited center position would be at
10 and not at 50.5. The center position for the logarithmic mapping
should be calculated as (log(min(y_axis))+log(max(y_axis)))/2, IMHO.

You are right, LabVIEW chooses this form (min(y_axis)+max(y_axis))/2).

Error saying cost center/EAT007 validity exists only for 2009

I am trying to upload the HR details from Non SAP to SAP for 2010, using an interface from T.code se38, I am getting an error saying
"Master record for cost center(number)/ EAT007 exists only for 2009".
When I see the cost center validity in KS02, its validity is from 01.01.2009 to 12.31.9999.
Could anybody answer this.

I am trying to upload the time sheets of the employees from other software to SAP using the Tcode SE38,
Later from HR to Co we are using CATs (Cat2 and CAT7) to transfer the data. Time time sheet contais the details of the sales order against which they have spent time, their time consumption for providing services and also the activity type they have performed.
In SE38, while I am trying to upload the data it shows an error saying "Master record for cost center/EAT007 exist only for 2009".I am trying to upload the data for 2010 Jan to Aug.
When checked, the Cost center's validity in our system is from 01.01.2009 to 12.31.9999.
Please assist.

As you would for any other infoobject
Activate the business content hierarchy datasources on R3 for cost centre and profit centre
Go into BW - replicate the metadata
Then just connect via transformations or transfer rules the datasources to yoru infosources or master data objects
Create an infopackage per hierarchy!!!!! - press the button available hirachies from OLTP - click the one you want on the left - fire it off
Then repeat new infopackages for all hierachies

Okay, can anyone please give me a hint how to achieve the effect shown in the image? If not with Illustrator what software can do this effect?
It's like an envelope distort but like the object (small circles) is not entirely wrapped into the envelope.
I tried moving the corners of the applied envelope towards the center of the object but it resizes the entire shape along with it...

Set up the dot pattern (or whatever the art is)
Choose Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Mesh
Enter 2 rows and 2 columns and click OK
This will add 1 mesh point to the center of the artwork.
Use the Direct Selection Tool (the white arrow) to select only that center mesh point.
Double-click the Scale Tool and enter a value larger than 100% in the Uniform Field.

How to bring Profit center field in to asset master

We are having new GL Profit center scenario active. My question is
1.How to bring Profit center field in to Asset Master?
I am not finding the field"Profit Center" under the configurations step Asset Accounting>Intergration with GL Accounting>Additional Account Assignment objects>>Activate Account assignment objects.
I know how to do it if it the Profit center field appears in the above step.HOW TO INCLUDE in the above step??Is there any prior activity I need to do?
2.If I could see the Profit Center field in the above step,then I can add it in T Code ACSET and select the field in Asset Screen Layout,so that it can come up in Asset Master.
If question#1 can be answered it will be great.

Hi,
Until some years ago Profit Center did not exist in FI-AA master data. The Profit Center was derived from other objects (like the cost center) during posting, but there was no way to enter a Profit Center directly in the asset.
Asset master data has been enhanced with EHP 5 to contain also fields for Profit Center and Segment. To make use of that functionality you need to activate the Business Function for "Segment Reporting" as explained in the Link posted by Jayj before.
Once Business Function "Segment Reporting" is active, you will be able to make ACSET settings for the Profit Center like for the other account assignment objects. Without the Business Function the field does not exist in asset accounting and therefore you cannot find it in customizing.

I too am experiencing this issue after upgrading to Mavericks. Headphone audio balance seems to always stick to the far right. When moved to the center, it still only outputs sound to the right side. I have to constantly adjust the setting a little to the left of center for both sides to output sound equally.

Are drivers for LabView 5.1 only supported by the later models, 6.x and 7.x?

I'm confused by your question. Are you talking about hardware drivers (NI-DQ, NI-GPIB) or instrument drivers? You should be able to use current hardware drivers with older version of LabVIEW and you can (in most cases) use older hardware drivers with new versions of LabVIEW. For instrument drivers, NI only maintains LabVIEW 6 and 7 versions on it's Instrument Driver Network but I'm pretty sure maintains an archive of older versions if they exist. If you have a specific instrument driver that you need, make a request on this forum. NI might be able to provide an older version or someone can save it to a previous version. One or two probably won't be a problem but numerous requests might be a little out of line. At some point, you might want to consider a
n upgrade. There have been numerous improvements since 5.1 and upgrading is usually not a major problem.

IOS 8.1.1 Mail Notofication Center (10 Unread Items) - Only 5 Unread Display

Please note that I have the following issue, I have setup a GMAIL account in the iPhone Mail App and have the following setup for the mail notifications:
Allow Notifications - ON
Show in Notification Center - 10 Unread Items.
When I go to the notification center to see my unread items it only shows the last 5 even though the badge count shows more than 10 and the setting is set to 10 unread items.
When I setup the notification center for 5 unread or 1 unread or no unread items it works fine.
I have replicated this issue on a iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5 both running with 8.1.1
Any ideas?

I'm still having the same problem. I've been going to the Apple Store every week. I was able to talk to someone in my carrier store (Fido Canada) and the guy was really nice, he really tried everything, changed settings of the network, changed the IMEI number in their system (my iPhone has been replaced and their system still showed the old IMEI number). I went back a couple hours later and he had really done a lot of research and talked to people. The phone was ok for a couple of hours, but then asked for activation again.
I went to the Apple Store genius bar last week (4th or 5th time), I was ready to get a new phone but the guy told me he had found the issue. My phone was not registered with the carrier, where it should say "Fido Canada", it was empty. He was able to change that (network "elevation" or "escalation" or something like that), he checked again and it had been changed to Fido. The phone was working great for 4 or 5 hours this time, but then the activation screen came back. :-(
I don't know what to do anymore. I'm SURE it's not a problem with my phone, but it's a configuration issue, either with the carrier network or the software, but no one seems to know what to do!
Going back to the Apple Store this wednesday, hope someone will be able to figure this out!

Wide margins on each side of web pages confine info to the center. How do I bring the center info out toward the margins?

PSD CS4 - Cursor is off center, help!

When I am using any tool (Smudge, Brush, Pen, etc.) in PSD CS4 (Mac 10.5.8) my tool is off center.
Here is an example: I have a blank white page and a brush tool (200 pixels, 100% hardness) with the color black assigned to it and I click in the center of the page to create a round dot. The dot is not on the spot where I clicked, instead it shows up below the point where I clicked, about 10 pixels off center. It's always 10 pixels off center no matter how big the brush.
It's impossible to work this way. I am at a total loss as to how to fix this problem. I've Googled and searched the Adobe Forums and can't find a solution.

Rotate through the Screen Modes by hitting the key F three times.
Edit: The error happens when opening a file or creating a new file in Full Screen Mode.

Hi Longsan,
So I tried to reproduce the issue you were seeing and I believe I know what is going on. If you zoomin and the max and min of the axes are smaller than the cursor position, the cursor will no longer be in the viewing area of the graph. Therefore, you would want to reposition the cursor after you zoom in. For example, in Visual Basic you could use the command
CWGraph1.Cursors(1).XPosition to change the position. I thiss out and it seems to work correctly. Let me know if try this and you are still having trouble.
