Hi All,
can anybody tell me while doing migraton to 3.x to 7.0 is the customised objects also will  get migrate sutomatically or do we need to do manuallly anything.

Hi,
migrtion will do at update rules, transfe rules level then at datsource level
not object level
Teither customised or standard those objects will be same before or after migartion.

  • Invalid object error while migrating oracle forms 6i to APEX

    Hi,
    I have a form name abc.fmb and I did converted to xml and imported using application migration in APEX
    With these I have nine PL/SQL libraries (PLL). converted it to PLD using rwconvertor and imported in APEX. Also, I have 4 tables i.e data base block in forms.
    Now, when i m migrating forms to APEX it is giving an error message saying invalid objects and shows the table name and column name. But the column name that it shows is a text box in the form that is also a database item ...
    eg:- addr is the block name in forms
    item name dsp_name
    error: invalid object
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,

  • Adding new Data Object while migrating from MI 2.5 to NM7.1

    Dear All,
          We have a custom MI 2.5 application which we need to migrate to 7.1. While migration, we want to add a newly created data object also in migrated application. But when I try to import MBO model, it is not letting me import new data object. The import finishes successfully. But changes in merepmeta.xml are not done. It creates a file with back up of existing merepmeta.xml i.e. merepmeta.xml.bak and create new merepmeta.xml but it is blank. Am I missing something???
           When I import MBO only with existing data objects (syncbos), it is allowing me perfectly. It is changing the merepmeta.xml accordingly as well without creating backup.
    Thanks in advance,
    Saptak Kulkarni.

    Dear Arjun,
         To answer your questions, previously all the SyncBOs were downloaded independently taking username as the import parameter in getList. (Default values). Yes we can provide the same with 7.1 but we wanted to have some sorts of associations between all SyncBOs.
         So first of all, we changed all the BAPI wrappers of old SyncBOs to download all the data independent of user. Now we created new Data Object to only download user specific data. We associated all other Data Objects on this DO. Created a rule for this data object to only download the sync user instance. We were expecting that whenever a user syncs, a single instance of new user data object will get downloaded and subsequently all other data objects having relationship on user will get downloaded. I hope this is not much confusing.
          Now while we import the MBO model, if we don't import new user data object, then also other data object instance get downloaded and fortunately properly filtered. We don't receive any kind of error over here.
          The new data object is not used anywhere in the application. The associations are in new data object and not in the older one. New data object is the leading one wherein others follow.
          Not a single instance is getting dropped for other Data Objects.
          The xml is blank only when we try to import the new Data Object and correctly it gives an error as expected when I try to deploy the application.
    Thanks in advance,
    Saptak.

  • Error while Migrating the custom routines in Transformations

    Dear All,
    I am in the process of migrating BW 3.5 to BI 7.0.I migrated the Standard cubes and DSO's from BW3.5 to BI 7.0 flow successfully.
    But while migrating the transformations which are having the custom routines,I am facing the below errors.
    The data object "COMM_STRUCTURE" does not have a component called BIC/ZGROSSPRI".But the routine contains BIC/ZGROSSPRI.
    I tried to change the BW 3.5 terminology to BI 7.0 terminology.(Like COMM_STRUCTURE replaced by SOURCE_FIELDS).But unable to solve.There are nearly 20 custome routines written in all transformations.
    Can any one guide me who faced the same tyepe of problem?

  • Error while migrating to Flex 4.5.1 (1067: Implicit coercion of a value...)

    I am getting the following error while migrating my application from Flex 3.6 to Flex 4.5.1:
    1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type __AS3__.vec:Vector.<Object> to an unrelated type Array.
    The error is thrown on the following piece of code:
    var list:ArrayCollection=new ArrayCollection(dgSoftwareTitles.selectedItems);
    dgSoftwareTitles is defined as:
    <s:DataGrid id="dgShareCategoryForTransfer"
    x="34"
    y="369"
    requestedRowCount="5"
    width="90%"
    selectedIndex="-1"
    selectionMode="multipleRows">
    <s:columns>
    <s:ArrayList>
    <s:GridColumn headerText="SoftwareTitle"
    dataField="idSoftware"

    <s:GridColumn headerText="SoftwareName"
    dataField="softwareName"
    visible="false"/>
    ...more GridColumns
    </s:columns>
    </s:ArrayList>
    </s:DataGrid>
    Any ideas why this would trow the "1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type __AS3__.vec:Vector.<Object> to an unrelated type Array" error?
    Thanks!
    Lee

    I think that dgSoftwareTitles.selectedItems is a type of Vector while
    public function ArrayCollection(source:Array = null) expects an array as a source.

  • Spoil national characters while migration

    I ran into a bit problem: while migration from MS SQL to Oracle all national symbols were transformed to "?" character. Oracle was installed with two locale - American and Russian. Changing of current operatio system localization hasn't taken any effect.
    I tried to migrate data by means of MTS but the error has been occured while migrating LOB objects (something like "OCI error when call lob function").
    As a result I cant migrate the majority of the data
    How can I solve the problem?
    null

    check the list of fonts available. You can use the following code for the purpose.
      public static void main(String args[])
            String fonts[] = getFontNames();
            for(int i = 0; i < fonts.length; i++)
                System.out.println(fonts);
    public static String[] getFontNames()
    GraphicsEnvironment ge = GraphicsEnvironment.getLocalGraphicsEnvironment();
    return ge.getAvailableFontFamilyNames();

  • Linking issues while Migrating code from SUN CC 4.3 to SUN CC 5.8

    Hello,
    I am migrating code written in SUN CC 4.3 to SUN CC 5.8
    I have compiled entire code with SUN CC 5.8 with -compact=4 option ,on machine with OS SunOS 5.8 Generic_Virtual sun4v sparc sun4v.
    during linking phase i am facing issues like
    (cd msggen; make CG="-fast -O3 -compat=4 -lC -features=extensions -i" all)
    /opt/SUNWspro/bin/CC -o msggen msggen.o licensemessage.o ../../../../libs/lib/libgeneral.a

    exrethrow_q msggen.o
    ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to msggen
    I felt like these issues are due to the standard header files. I am including the headers which comes with SUN CC 5.8 and I am using Rogue Wave rwav/ver09.1.
    I am not getting any pointers to solve this issue,any pointer will be highly appriciated.

    }When you post a code example, it is best to copy/paste from actual code that you verified shows the problem. This example is nowhere near valid for any compiler, even with your suggested change.
    - The class declarations are not terminated by a semicolon
    - You can't call C::f1() using that syntax outside of class C or a class derived from class C because it is not a static function, and requires an object. You could call it as c.f1() if you had a c object of type C, except that f1() would still not be accessible.
    The rules about accessibility have never changed. Please post an example that actually works with C++ 4.x or with C++ 5.x in -compat=4 mode, but that fails with -compat=5 mode.

    Like this for operator overloading also , I haven't got any way to make function body available to function call, so i ve changed those functions to normal functions...I don't understand what you mean. An example would help.

    what is a template cache?? How to delete it??
    The template cache is also known as the template repository. See section 3.3.5 Template Repository in the Migration Guide. To delete the cache (repository) just remove the entire cache directory.

    Another task of mine is, i am compiling a code written in SUN CC 5.5 to 5.8, would you suggest me the migration guide, I could get from 4 to 5 and 3 to 5 but
    not from 5.5 to 5.8, I am not sure about in which compiler code is written but, I could able to compile the code with out compact option with SUN CC 5.5, CC 5.5 and 5.8 are fully compatible. There should be no migration issues. The exceptions would be invalid code that compiled due to a bug in the earlier compiler but is correctly diagnosed as an error with the later compiler. In rare cases, the later compiler has a bug not present in the earlier compiler (a regression). When found, regressions are fixed in patches. If you have an Oracle service contract, you can download patches from My Oracle Support. Otherwise, get the most recent compiler, which should not have those regressions.
    but while trying to compile with 5.8 i am facing issues like
    1. typecastingI would have to see an example.
    2.virtual vector<int> getProcedureArgs() { return 0; } -----> Error: Cannot use int to initialize std::vector<int>
    The compiler error message is correct. The function returns a vector<int>, but you can't create a vector<int> from an integer 0. That is, the vector template has several constructors, but none that accept a single integer argument.
    At this point we have moved away from the original topic. If you have further questions, please start a new thread.

    To resolve both of these conditions, update the Windows System Path on the Data Relationship Management server with the applicable JRE and CSS pathing below.
    NOTE: Reboot the Data Relationship Management server machine after making any changes to the Windows Path.
    NOTE: Ensure that only one JRE version and one CSS version are referenced in the Windows Path.

    I configured PATH by setting to above, and tried CSSExport again, still failed.
    Than I disabled the NTLM is HSS, tried CSSExport again. It was successful.
    So I am convinced that the problem caused by NTLM or PATH environment variable or some files associated.
    Does anybody know the solution ?

    I recommend you upgrade at least to 10.1.0.5. 10.1.0.2 comes with the very first version of csalter.plb, which has not the current implementation. From and to which character set do you try to migrate?

  • Issue with LCM while migrating planning application in the cluster Env.

    Hi,
    Having issues with LCM while migrating the planning application in the cluster Env. In LCM we get below error and the application is up and running. Please let me know if anyone else has faced the same issue before in cluster environment. We have done migration using LCM on the single server and it works fine. It just that the cluster environment is an issue.

    Hi,
    First of all, if your environment for source and target are same then you will have all the users and groups in shared services, in that case you just have to provision the users for this new application so that your security will get migrated when you migrate the from the source application. If the environs are different, then you have to migrate the users and groups first and provision them before importing the security using LCM.
    Coming back to the process of importing the artifacts in the target application using LCM, you have to place the migrated file in the @admin native directory in Oracle/Middleware/epmsystem1.
    Open shared services console->File system and you will see the your file name under that.
    Select the file and you will see all your exported artifacts. Select all if you want to do complete migration to target.
    Follow the steps, select the target application to which you want to migrate and execute migration.
    Open the application and you will see all your artifacts migrated to the target.
    If you face any error during migration it will be seen in the migration report..
    Thanks,

    Can anyone please suggest me how to rectify this error.
    Regards,
    Naveen

    Hi,
    Review the section beginning at page 663 on unicode applications from the Essbase Database Admin Guide. On windows this is the ESSLANG environment variable on unix there is a file that you must modify.
    See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/esb_dbag.pdf
    I do suggest you read the whole section I referenced above. You would not be changing the source server. It is whatever format it is. You need to change in windows 2008.
    Mark if this helps you.

  • Error while migrating the ds

    Hello BI Experts,
    This is the error i am getting while migrating the ds.
    Please suggest.
    'The OLTP source ZISTRANS for source system ZFILE not present
    Message no. RSDS034'
    Thanks,
    BWer

    Check if the 3.X data source still active or you see a NW2004s datasource in the data source tree for the corresponding source system. This error message comes but the migration sometimes succesfully ends.
    Regards.
