Custom Column for Project Code Number & Search Box to search Content in Project Server 2013

Hi all,
I want to add a custom column in Project Center view for showing some Numerical Projects codes like 4523, 5248,8956 like that... Each code will represent Project assigned with that code in Project Server 2013. Also let me now if i can add some search box
in Project Center page through which i can search Project Code or Project Name. Currently, provided search bar not working in Project Server 2013.
Need it urgent..Kindly help

Hi,
If you want to add this column in a project center view, be careful to choose a project view in the "manage views" views' list. Also it must be a project custom field and not a task field. As Paul said, we assume that the field with the code exists
and has been previousky created by you.

    I faced the problem of not able to set / defined hidden column for cash discount and % by creating a new variant.
    Steps:
    Create a variant
    Click <administrator> button ... mark the columns hidden, and click <activate> button
    Then click <Save> button
    Problem: Every time I using the F-53/F-28, the layout is not working, and when goto check the variant settings, the cash discount and % columns remained unchecked.
    SAP version: 4.6

    It is not working using field status group, as I am using F-53 and F-28 and not FB50/60/70.
    The purpose I want to create variant for screen after clicking <process open item> is to control column display (hide cash discount and %).  if the variant is working, I can create a customized Tcode for the F-53 and F-28.
    Now problem is that variant seem not working.

    I am only a fellow ordinary user of Firefox & XP, but maybe the problem is on your machine, rather than needing a fix from firefox. If you take a little time to read this you may be able to sort out the problems yourself.
    I hope you do not mind me covering a few basics:
    * the [[Search bar]] { <-- clickable link -- ] is designed to produce a lot or results, whereas
    *the [[Location bar search|Location Bar]] is a lot more specific and may be [[Location bar autocomplete#w_controlling-behavior|set]] to include or exclude History & or [[bookmarks]]
    If you are getting literally 1000s of totally unrelated results you may need to consider [[Is my Firefox problem a result of malware]]
    Hope to hear that you have solved the problem, or a bit more detail about what still is a problem.

    I have searched and tried out all sorts of different settings for enabling/changing the way CUCiLync searches the Active Directory (AD) for contact phone numbers.
    But no matter what setting I use in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cisco Systems, inc.\ Client Services Framework\AdminData and/or HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cisco Systems, inc.\ Client Services Framework\Active Directory hive, CUCiLync still uses the default for Work phone number. The default for this is to use telephoneNumber, the value that I wish to use is the ipPhone field.
    The registry values that I have tested so far are these.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cisco Systems, inc.\ Client Services Framework\AdminData
    LDAP_AttributeName_businessPhone
    LDAP_AttributeName_primaryPhoneNumberForSearches
    LDAP_AttributeName_otherPhone
    All set to ipPhone, and I have also tested to set it to another field in AD that contains the same value as the ipPhone, that is in my case extensionAttribute5.
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cisco Systems, inc.\ Client Services Framework\Active Directory

    Regarding to your query, Can you please go through the attached flow diagram (also you can see it in the link given below). I hope it will clarify more on the telephone number display behavior in office communicator.
    As per this flow chart presently your setup is working as designed. As per the design, the number should be in E.164 format in order to be available in MOC.
    You have AD in your network as a source, so  OCS pulls this information from LDAP it is integrated with. As per Microsoft, here you need to add Normalization rules to OCS to normalize the number into the E164 format.

    Phone number display for MOC contact:
    •-          OCS will not provide a contacts number unless it is correctly formatted to the E.164 standard.
    •-          The Address Book Service on OCS processes the contacts phone number and attempts to normalize it.
    •-          If correctly normalized then the number is inserted into the OCS address book.
    •-          Communicator will only display this normalized number if it is properly formatted in E.164 (+13125551234).
    •-          The E.164 standard defines an international numbering plan for public phone systems.
    •-          In the E.164 standard, each number contains a country code, an area code, and a subscriber number.
    •-          Each phone user has a globally unique number.
    •-          In Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Office Communicator, phone numbers in E.164 format must begin with a plus character ("+").
    I have done some research to your first question. Can you please just go through the blog given below from the Microsoft.

    It tells that If the numbers not in E.164 format then the number will not appear in office communicator if LDAP integrated. Can you please check with Microsoft to see their inputs on this.

    I need to clear vendor open invoices using BAPI's for T-code F-44 .I've got through various FM like <b>bapi_acc_document_post</b> and <b>bapi_ar_acc_getbalanceditems</b> but could'nt find solution because this FM's are for customer clearing the open items from table BSAD(cleared accounts of customer).Have any boby worked on this tcode to clear vendor accounts using bapi's or do we have any standard FM to use the scenario same as FM mentioned above for table BSAK(vendor clear items).
    Its really simple working with bdc's to transfer data from flat file to the above transaction.But as known every vendor has huge sets of items and this could be a huge performance issue....so to avoid this in future we need to work on this using exclusively BAPI's......Any suggestions or sample codes wud surely be appreciated....

  • Supplementary customs declaration and Import code number

    Hi guys,
    I've a question from my colleagues from export/import...
    They are working with the Supplementary customs declaration. Now it can happen that the Import code number change in the time when starting with the declaration and until sending it to the customs authority. So it can happen, that the "old" number is still in the document.
    Custom authority say, that we have to send it with the new number. But also if you're in change mode in the Supplementary customs declaration it isn't possible to change the Import code number.
    Any idea?

    Where exactly do you have the problem in this screen?
    Do you have an external file with commodity codes, description ..?

  • Customized name for report instances under publication (BOXI 3.1)

    Hi All,
    Is a there any way to have custom name for the report instances under publication history (default enterprise location). I can see we can customize report instance names using placeholders if destination is email or local drive or enterprise inbox, but doesn't have similar option under publication history.
    Basically we have a Agency Report which has to be distributed to individual agencies through email while another copies will be maintained under publication history. But unfortunately there is no way (as it seems to me) to find out which report instance is for which agency (unless one manually opens and checks the report).
    So my query to you is that, is there any work around to customize report instances name under publication history.

    My client has exactly the same requirement; for instances/documents to be published to default location with custom instance and document names.
    I'm really struggling to find any built in capability to do this however I hope I'm wrong on this!
    At the moment I'm writing a publication extension to do this but again I hope this isn't necessary!
    Does anyone know if this is possible?

    I know that in the search center you can add search verticals. Then you can configure the search box so it has a drop down menu so you can specify the result source you want to search. 
    But my question is about the 'search this site' box which appears on all subsites, so not the one in the search center. Is it possible to add the same dropdown menu to this box as in the search center?

    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to add a dropdown menu to the search box.
    You need to look at the Search Settings page that is located under the Site Collection Administration of the Site Settings.

    Am trying to add a search box to our website to search within our website. For example i have several pdfs that i would like our customers to pull up but only if they know the correct file name or should i say if they search for the correct name of the pdf? Am not sure if am clear to what i want but if anyone has some advice on how to do this i appreciated.

    If your site is dynamically compiled from PHP code & MySql databases, you would run a PHP query. 
    If your site is static HTML pages, you'll need to use a 3rd party search engine like Freefind.com or a software app such as Zoom from Wrensoft.
    Freefind will index your entire site including PDFs if you choose that option. 
    They offer both free and paid versions of their search engine.  You simply copy & paste their code into your pages.
    Zoom is stand alone software. Free for small sites with tiered pricing for larger ones.

    1)one is a DMS solution
    2) extranet - for my customers partner's web appln 
    3) community web appln
    i am confused abt the landing page, how to design the search func. if i give a search box on the master page , which content need to pulled out.
    also if i am going with this search box, i have to implement advanced search box also. but i am not able to find a particular zone on this landing page.
    can i remove this search box altogether since i need to have a  separate ent.search center site collec in the DMS,community web appln., why should i put a  search box on this landing page. 
    [ i  can decide this - as client didnt say anything specific abt this reqmnt].
    can anyone give me an idea, abt the sample landing page contents of a portal which has multiple web applns.
    and how it looks like :i any test sample site / web aplns are available ? 
    any public facing sites samples are also welcome, which is built on sp 2013 or prev.version.  
    highly appreciate the help!

  • How to set columns for Zip Codes?

    I am new to iMac and in my first week using trial version of Numbers. I work in sales and we do lots of mailings using merging of data and addresses for post cards, labels, etc.
    I cannot see how to set columns to a zip code setting. All zips entered beginning with a 0 drop the front 0. I tried calling the column as Text, but it did not help. I can type a ' in from of the 0 and it works, but this takes an insane amount of time and will not work for us.
    How do you deal with Zip Codes? Are there labeling options for mailing built into Numbers? I really want to dump all MS products but will have to drop mac and return buy Office if this is not correctable.

    Setting the column format to text do the trick on my french version too.
    With AppleWorks, I was accustomed to use a zeroSlashed so it remained in my zip codes when I moved codes here and there.

    Once redeemed you do not have to redeem the card again (and cannot). You should just be able to purchase normally and the cost will be deducted from the balance. If you have difficulties purchasing, post back and tell us exactly what any message says and where it appears and someone can probably offer advice.
