Custom Mail Forms in CRMD_EMAIL

Hi Guys,
Does any know how to (or is it even possible ) include custom coding for mail forms ?
The fields provided in the standard structure does not contain the fields that i need to be displayed on the form output.

Hi Chun,
You can do this just follow the path below:
SPRO->Customer Relationship Management->Marketing->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management->Personalized Mail->
Maintain Attribute Contexts for Mail Forms.
Here you can add the structure from which you want to add fields.
Read the help for this IMG activity which will help you to guide better.

Dynamic graphic in Mail forms

Hi All,
I have a mail form which has been created in transaction CRMD_EMAIL. I have been asked to enhance it with a dynamic graphic image.
There will be uploaded 1 image pr customer in transaction SE78.
And for each document I must find the corresponding image.
In normal smartform I can choose between 'Fixed value' and 'Dynamic field value' for graphichs name. And I can see that it works when I create a global variabel eg. 'TESTNAME' and assign it the value '123456'. if I then enter &TESTNAME& as dynamic graphic name, and test print it works fine and prints graphical image 123456.
But in with the mail forms in CRMD_EMAIL, this is not available. If I enter a variable the field disaperes and in test mode i get the error 'Graphic cannot be displayed' - This is identical to the error I get in smartforms if I enter a name that does not exist.
Does anybody knows if this is possible to do in mail forms. Or if I can use the smartforms instead of the Mail forms when working with campaigns.

Thanks for your quick response.
The document was ment to include a technical drawing regarding the specific installation for the customer/prospect.
It looks like we are going to include this drawing in a different document, which should be created in smartform.
If anybody come up with a way to do this - please let us all know.

CRM - Mail Forms - more attributes

Hi,
I'd like to insert in the Mail form editor (CRMD_EMAIL) more than one specific value of an attribute. In my CRM 5.0 system this is only possible with products. How does this work with other data, f.e. a business partner has 4 different addresses? I'd like to show all address info of the business partner.
In my specific case, I have a Z-table with contract-information (1partner, n contracts). I'd like to send an e-mail to a business partner with all of his contracts.

        Maintain Scenario for Mail Forms
With the 'Scenario for Mail Forms' and the BADI CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI
you can define a scenario for mail forms that allow you to add new
attributes and structures in mail form processing and to restrict
the selection of fields to make the forms easier to read.
I strongly recommend to follow the instructions mentioned in the
help documents for the customizing points

Mail forms in CRM Marketing

Hi All,
I need your help, i have to create a new smartform using the mail forms in marketing.Can any one tell which marketing transaction is used for printing mailing labels and how to find out the output type associated with smartforms. Actually i don't know how sf are executed in CRM.can anybody through some light on this area.

HI Gaurav,
After you create mail form in CRMD_EMAIL, you have to execute it by pressing f8 then you have give the printer which is already defined in SPRO settings of marketing.
Thats only way you can print the mail form of a BP.

I also tried to change the package by choosing Object directory entry. Even that does not work.
Can you please explaing to me how I transport it using Tx SE01 ????

How to add Attribute Category in Mail Form - WEB UI CRM 7.0

Dear Friends,
My requirement is to add custom fields to the mail form - attribute page so that IC agent can select these attributes when they create the mail forms. These customer fields are related to Service ticket like Account details, service ticket ID , IBASE details etc.
I read on SAP HELP and got to know that I need to implement BADI CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI to maintain additional attribute but for this, first i need to maintain attribute context ( IMG path is under personalized mails under campaign management in CRM Marketing ). so i created the attribute context.
But i can't see anything related to my attribute context on mail form when i select attribute button, i get nothing in additional fields to insert. Also the BADI does not get triggered.
Can anyone please guide me on this as how to get the custom attributes on mail forms ?
Our requirement is not specific to CRM marketing but generic to give IC agents some Service ticket specific attributes to add in the mail forms.
Please advice as i am struggling a lot on this and i never worked in CRM marketing.

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply as notifications were kept off.
I solved it by implementing the BADI, and the same method as you guessed. I also had to maintain the custom attribute contexts with the fields i would like. This custom attribute context will be the filter for the badi and basically you will populate the attribute values in the badi method.
Mail-form help on help.sap.com as well as the BADI and IMG documentations on SPRO are more than enough to get the job done.
I wont be able to share the code as it was complete custom development in relation to auto-escalation emails in SLA and Escalations scenario and the project was completed long back.

Error when generating mail form, no data in field PLANSTART_IO

Hi,
I have added the structure CRM_MKTPL_CAMPAIGN_TASK to my scenario in customizing. But when I try to test my new mail form, then there is no data in the field Planned_start from my campaign element, PLANSTART_IO.
How do I make data available in my marketing form from my marketing element?

E-mail receipt from customer mail box

Hi ,
Can any one help me how to configure the email receipt from customer mail box?
Our scenario is like this.
When sales order is created sap system will sent order confirmation to customer mail box. I have already configured the email confirmation till this stage and getting the results too.
1. When customer receive the order confirmation in his mailbox and we need the acknowledgement from customer either in the form of read receipt or delivery receipt from customer mail box.
2. When we want some information has to pass to customer mail box along with order confirmation. Like " Dear Customer ...Your order has been confirmed...in the body of the mail....etc.
If any one ever did this then please let me know what are the procedure involves to configure above scenario.

Adding multiple product details in Mail Forms

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to print multiple product details in mail forms. I see that in a seperate business role - 'SPL', the option to print product table is given. But there are fixed attributes that can be printed. We need to print custom attributes defined at the product level also in the mail forms. Anyone having any idea on this

I don’t fully understand what the situation really is here. Mail would complain the way you describe only if both mail accounts have the same User Name, but in that case both mail accounts are actually the same and you shouldn’t be trying to set up them both in Mail as independent accounts.
What identifies a mail account are the User Name and the Incoming Mail Server, not the Email Address. Multiple email addresses associated with the same mail account are called aliases. Type alias in Mail Help’s search box for more information on how this works in Mail if that’s what you want to do.

Multi line values in mail forms to send emails

Hi All,
Ours is CRM 2007 application, as part of new capability adding to the system, we need to send email to customer with few details once service tickets saved in the system. we decided to use mail forms to create the template and send email to the customer with details. as part of this we need to send multi line values as well in the mail form - email as shown below. example field here is for working hours of the customer office.
Saturday - Sunday 10am - 4pm
Saturday - Sunday 10am - 4pm
(excluding public holidays)
Can some body tell me how to send the multiline values using mail forms - emails to customers. right now we receive the last line. I dont see any help in mail form documetation as well on this.
I appreciate any help in this if you already have some solution.

Are you using below any FM to send mail ?
1. CRM_IM_EMAIL_CREATE_SEND_40 2. CRM_IM_EMAIL_CREATE_SEND_51
if so, then inside this FM there will be call to BADI CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI . This badi will get the data for custom/additional attribute values. Basically it will get one value ( last value ).
What u might need to do is after this badi call u need to loop ur values and set it . For doing that u might need to make this FM tocustomer name space or look for implicit enhancements.
We have done similarly for sending mail duringcampaign execution. That was done in different place.

To create varaibles in Mail Forms for Order Confirmation

Hi All,
I am having an requirement to send an email for order confirmation with some customer dependent data and some product data to be sent along in the mail, This has to be done through action.
I want to use mail forms for this but in this I am not able to create variables in the mail form through which i can pass th value to the variables in the mail form.
Please suggest what to do for variable creation in mail form.........
Is there any standard oder confirmation template available as it is available for campaign??????

Salutation in mail forms.

Dear CRM gurus.
We are facing the following issue. When we want to create a mail form and when we want to create text different text elements using different salutation, we cannot use the conditions properly.
We cannot use basic conditions for distinguishing the salutation. Once we want to use salutation from the system field TITLE_LET (Salutation) when the fields is not empty even the field TITLE_MEDI (Title) is filled. Than we want to enter text element with salutation Mr. Mrs etc. when the field TITLE_LET (Salutation) is empty. But how we can tell the CRM that it should consider or not consider u201CEMPTYu201D field? And how to tell system that when the fields TITLE_LET (Salutation) and TITLE_MEDI (Title) are empty use the third possibility u2013 text elements with common salutation as u201CDear allu201D. Is it possible to use different way how to do this?
And what more, when we use field TITLE_LET (Salutation) in the text element it happens that the system enter data from field TITLE_MEDI (Title) instead.

Hi Petr,
I've created a custom function module that creates the salutation depending on the language and country. I.e. in Germany only the academic title Dr. or Prof. are part of the salutation. In Austria every academic title i.e. "Ing." must be added. This function module is called using the BAdI CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI.

I want to create mail form templates and want to add some custom attributes in the additional attributes category of attributes and then write my own logic for filling up the values in those additional attributes at runtime.

We are working on CRM 5.0 SP07,IC WebClient with Service. We are also using the category modeler for categorizing the service ticket and ERMS rule modeler for dispatching the service tickets.Please guide me on:
1. How to include the categories from the service ticket in the mail form.
2. How to include the planned closing date from the service ticket in the mail form.
3. How to select different mails forms automatically when on selecting different categories in the service ticket.

1 & 2: In order to provide data from the service ticket to the mail form process of the IC, we had to:
a. Create a structure that will contain all the additional data required for the mail form.
b. Create a data source class to populate the structure described above. The class should implement the interface IF_CRM_ERMS_SMARTFORM_DS.
c. Structure and data source class must be linked together in the IC web client configuration using IMG Define Data Source Classes.
d. The customer scenario ERMS must be extended to include the Z structure.
3: Email forms can be automatically selected using the category modeller. ("standard responses" tab)
