Custom OIM Workflow -- Jdeveloper Question

Hello, I am using Jdeveloper to create a custom workflow and was just curious if there was a way to test the custom code located within Appendix A of the following form:
http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/oim/oim_11g/developing_oim_custom_approval_process_for_resource_provision/developing_oim_custom_approval_process_for_resource_provision.pdf
The code is used within an "embedded java" node inside of a .bpel file. I need a way to run the code to see what the system.out.println's output so that I may better familiarize myself with the code. Is there a way to do this in Jdeveloper?

Right, I had made the same attempt with Netbeans, but the variables declared within the .jws need to be accessed, and to my knowledge (and I may be wrong) outside IDEs cannot access those.

  • Workflow design questions: FM vs WF to call FM

    Hereu2019s a couple of workflow design questions.
    1. We have Workitem 123 that allow user to navigate to a custom transaction TX1. User can make changes in TX1.  At save or at user command of TX1, the program will call a FM (FM1) to delete WI 123 and create a new WI to send to a different agent.
    Since Workitem 123 is still open and lock, the FM1 cannot delete it immediately, it has to use a DO loop to check if the Workitem 123 is dequeued before performing the WI delete.
    Alternative: instead of calling the FM1, the program can raise an event which calls a new workflow, which has 1 step/task/new method which call the FM1.  Even with this alternative, the Workitem 123 can still be locked when the new workflowu2019s task/method calls the FM1.
    I do not like the alternative, which calls the same FM1 indirectly via a new workflow/step/task/method.
    2. When an application object changes, the user exit will call a FMx which is related to workflow.  The ABAP developer do not want to call the FMx directly, she wants to raise an event which call a workflow .. step .. task .. method .. FMx indirectly.  This way any commit that happens in the FMx will not affect the application objectu2019s COMMIT.
    My recommendation is to call the FMx using u2018in Update tasku2019 so that the FMx is only called after the COMMIT of the application object.
    Any recommendation?
    Amy

    Mike,
    Yes, in my first design, the TX can 1. raise a terminating event for the existing workitem/workflow and then 2. raise another event to call another workflow.   Both 1 and 2 will be in FM1.
    Then the design question is: Should the FM1 be called from TX directly or should the TX raise an event to call a new workflow which has 1 step/task, which calls a method in the Business object, and the method calls the FM1?
    In my second design question, when an application object changes, the user exit will call a FMx which is related to workflow.  The ABAP developer do not want to call the FMx directly, she wants to raise an event which call a workflow, which has 1 step/task, which calls a method, which calls the FMx indirectly.  This way any commit that happens in the FMx will not affect the application objectu2019s COMMIT.
    My recommendation is either call the FMx using u2018in Update tasku2019 so that the FMx is only called after the COMMIT of the application object or raise an event to call a receiver FM (FMx).
    Thanks.
    Amy

  • Has anyone customized Invoice workflow in SRM

    Hi Gurus,
    I understood from the reply to my previous question that N step dynamic badi approvals is not possible for invoice document by standard SRM.
    I would like to know whether has anyone customized invoice workflows in SRM to make them N step and dynamic. Please let me know.
    Regards,
    Sam K

    I don't hink so, check the sap help on N-level validation and check out the badi examples on validation.
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

  • How can I get my custom PS workflows to run correctly when I Retry them after a failure?

    I have some custom PowerShell workflows in place that monitor for status changes to various work items and add Action Log entries as required. As an example one of these workflows monitors for newly created Service Requests and creates an Action Log entry
    of the type "Record Opened" (script below).
    param ( [string]$SRIDInput )
    function Using-Culture
    [CmdletBinding()]
    Param([Parameter(Mandatory = $true, HelpMessage = 'The culture (language) to run the script in.')]
    [ValidateNotNull()]
    [System.Globalization.CultureInfo]
    $Culture,
    [Parameter(Mandatory = $true, HelpMessage = 'The scriptblock or wrapped script to run.')]
    [ValidateNotNull()]
    [ScriptBlock]
    $Script
    $OldCulture = [System.Threading.Thread]::CurrentThread.CurrentCulture
    $OldUICulture = [System.Threading.Thread]::CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture
    try
    [System.Threading.Thread]::CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = $culture
    [System.Threading.Thread]::CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = $culture
    Invoke-Command $script
    finally
    [System.Threading.Thread]::CurrentThread.CurrentCulture = $OldCulture
    [System.Threading.Thread]::CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture = $OldUICulture
    try {
    if (!(Get-Module SMlets)){Import-Module smlets -Force -ErrorAction Stop}
    $Server = "#######"
    $EnteredDate = (Get-Date).ToUniversalTime()
    $NewGUID = ([guid]::NewGuid()).ToString()
    $ServiceRequest = Get-SCSMObject -Class (Get-SCSMClass -Name System.WorkItem.ServiceRequest$ -ComputerName $Server -ErrorAction Stop) -Filter "DisplayName -like '*$SRIDInput*'" -ComputerName $Server -ErrorAction Stop
    $SRTitle = $ServiceRequest.Title
    $Projection = @{__CLASS = "System.WorkItem.ServiceRequest";
    __SEED = $ServiceRequest;
    ActionLog = @{__CLASS = "System.WorkItem.TroubleTicket.ActionLog";
    __OBJECT = @{Id = $NewGUID; EnteredBy = "Workflow"; EnteredDate = $EnteredDate; ActionType = "System.WorkItem.ActionLogEnum.RecordOpened"; Title = "Record Opened - Notify Users"; Description = $SRTitle;}
    Using-Culture "en-US" {
    New-SCSMObjectProjection -Type MYOB.WorkItem.TypeProjections.HasActionLog -Projection $Projection -ComputerName $Server -ErrorAction Stop
    } catch {
    ($_ | ConvertTo-XML).Save("D:\WorkflowLogs\$SRIDInput-RecordOpened-Exception.xml")
    throw $_
    We currently are experiencing the bug (#5) noted
    here which prompted me to take a look at re-running any failed workflows to continue other tasks.
    The problem is though that hitting Retry for the workflow doesn't actually submit the workflow request correctly. As far as I can tell it
    is running again (it pops in a new entry in the Workflow status list), but no changes are made to the Action Log and nothing is associated with the Work Item.
    I think what is happening is the $SRIDInput variable is not populated on the Retry or perhaps has odd data, which would let the script run but not actually do anything (the filter would return no results), I'm going to add a step into the
    script to check if $SRIDInput is empty and fail if that's the case, I'll also write the variable to a log file before anything else happens, that should tell me pretty quick.
    I wanted to know if anyone else has had trouble using Retry on custom PS workflows? Any tips? Anything obvious I am missing?
    Update: After writing this I'm not sure it would actually fail silently with no valid input as theoretically the New-SCSMObjectProjection cmdlet wouldn't have anything to apply to, I'll update the script anyway and see what happens.

    What does the error details show? Retrying a workflow that fails rarely works the second time around.

    Hi saurabh
    I too faced the similiar issue
    oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Application: FND, Message Name: FND-INVALID APPLICATION. Tokens: APPL = ak; (Could not lookup message because there is no database connection)
    RESOLUTION:- Ensure that your profile option "FND: Debug Log Enabled" is set to No both at your site level and also at your user level. To be on the safer side, set your Diagnostis profile to No too
    PS:- I didn't remove backslashes from my dbc file. But you may consider that as an option too.

  • ColdFusion 11: custom serialisers. More questions than answers

    G'day:
    I am reposting this from my blog ("ColdFusion 11: custom serialisers. More questions than answers") at the suggestion of Adobe support:
    @dacCfml @ColdFusion Can you post your queries at http://t.co/8UF4uCajTC for all cfclient and mobile queries.— Anit Kumar Panda (@anitkumar85) April 29, 2014
    This particular question is not regarding <cfclient>, hence posting it on the regular forum, not on the mobile-specific one as Anit suggested. I have edited this in places to remove language that will be deemed inappropriate by the censors here. Changes I have made are in [square brackets]. The forums software here has broken some of the styling, but so be it.
    G'day:
    I've been wanting to write an article about the new custom serialiser one can have in ColdFusion 11, but having looked at it I have more questions than I have answers, so I have put it off. But, equally, I have no place to ask the questions, so I'm stymied. So I figured I'd write an article covering my initial questions. Maybe someone can answer then.
    ColdFusion 11 has added the notion of a custom serialiser a website can have (docs: "Support for pluggable serializer and deserializer"). The idea is that whilst Adobe can dictate the serialisation rules for its own data types, it cannot sensibly infer how a CFC instance might get serialised: as each CFC represents a different data "schema", there is no "one size fits all" approach to handling it. So this is where the custom serialiser comes in. Kind of. If it wasn't a bit rubbish. Here's my exploration thusfar.
    One can specify a custom serialiser by adding a setting to Application.cfc:
    component {     this.name = "serialiser01";     this.customSerializer="Serialiser"; }
    In this case the value - Serialiser - is the name of a CFC, eg:
    // Serialiser.cfccomponent {     public function canSerialize(){         logArgs(args=arguments, from=getFunctionCalledName());         return true;     }     public function canDeserialize(){         logArgs(args=arguments, from=getFunctionCalledName());         return true;     }     public function serialize(){         logArgs(args=arguments, from=getFunctionCalledName());         return "SERIALISED";     }     public function deserialize(){         logArgs(args=arguments, from=getFunctionCalledName());         return "DESERIALISED";     }     private function logArgs(required struct args, required string from){         var dumpFile = getDirectoryFromPath(getCurrentTemplatePath()) & "dump_#from#.html";         if (fileExists(dumpFile)){             fileDelete(dumpFile);         }         writeDump(var=args, label=from, output=dumpFile, format="html");     } }
    This CFC needs to implement four methods:
    canSerialize() - indicates whether something can be serialised by the serialiser;
    canDeserialize() - indicates whether something can be deserialised by the serialiser;
    serialize() - the function used to serialise something
    deserialize() - the function used to deserialise something
    I'm being purposely vague on those functions for a reason. I'll get to that.
    The first [issue] in the implementation here is that for the custom serialisation to work, all four of those methods must be implemented in the serisalisation CFC. So common sense would dictate that a way to enforce that would be to require the CFC to implement an interface. That's what interfaces are for. Now I know people will argue the merit of having interfaces in CFML, but I don't really give a [monkey's] about that: CFML has interfaces, and this is what they're for. So when one specifies the serialiser in Application.cfc and it doesn't fulfil the interface requirement, it should error. Right then. When one specifies the inappropriate tool for the job. What instead happens is if the functions are omitted, one will get erratic behaviour in the application, through to outright errors when ColdFusion goes to call the functions and cannot find it. EG: if I have canSerialize() but no serialize() method, CF will error when it comes to serialise something:
    JSON serialization failure: Unable to serialize to JSON.
    Reason : The method serialize was not found in component C:/wwwroot/scribble/shared/git/blogExamples/coldfusion/CF11/customerserialiser/Serialiser .cfc.
    The error occurred inC:/wwwroot/scribble/shared/git/blogExamples/coldfusion/CF11/customerserialiser/testBasic.c fm: line 4
    2 : o = new Basic();
    3 :
    4 : serialised = serializeJson(o);5 : writeDump([serialised]);
    6 :
    Note that the error comes when I go to serialise something, not when ColdFusion is told about the serialiser in the first place. This is just lazy/thoughtless implementation on the part of Adobe. It invites bugs, and is just sloppy.
    The second [issue] follows immediately on from this.
    Given my sample serialiser above, I then run this test code to examine some stuff:
    o = new Basic(); serialised = serializeJson(o); writeDump([serialised]); deserialised = deserializeJson(serialised); writeDump([deserialised]);
    So all I'm doing is using (de)serializeJson() as a baseline to see how the functions work. here's Basic.cfc, btw:
    component { }
    And the test output:
    array
    1
    SERIALISED
    array
    1
    DESERIALISED
    This is as one would expect. OK, so that "works". But now... you'll've noted I am logging the arguments each of the serialisation methods receives, as I got.
    Here's the arguments passed to canSerialize():
    canSerialize - struct
    1
    XML
    My reaction to that is: "[WTH]?" Why is canSerialize() being passed the string "XML" when I'm trying to serialise an object of type Basic.cfc?
    Here's the docs for canSerialize() (from the page I linked to earlier):
    CanSerialize - Returns a boolean value and takes the "Accept Type" of the request as the argument. You can return true if you want the customserialzer to serialize the data to the passed argument type.
    Again, back to "[WTH]?" What's the "Accept type" of the request? And what the hell has the request got to do with a call to serializeJson()? You might think that "Accept type" references some HTTP header or something, but there is no "Accept type" header in the HTTP spec (that I can find: "Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1: 14 Header Field Definitions"). There's an "Accept" header (in this case: "text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,image/webp,*/*;q=0.8"), and other ones like "Accept-Encoding", "Accept-Language"... but none of which contain a value of "XML". Even if there was... how would it be relevant to the question as to whether a Basic.cfc instance can be serialised? Raised as bug: 3750730.
    serialize() gets more sensible arguments:
    serialize - struct
    1
    https://www.blogger.com/nullserialize - component scribble.shared.git.blogExamples.coldfusion.CF11.customerserialiser.Basic
    2
    JSON
    So the first is the object to serialise (which surely should be part of the question canSerialize() is supposed to ask, and the format to serialise to. Cool.
    canDeserialize() is passed this:
    canDeserialize - struct
    1
    JSON
    I guess it's because it's being called from deserializeJson(), so it's legit to expect the input value is indeed JSON. Fair enough. (Note: I'm not actually passing it JSON, but that's beside the point here).
    And deserialize() is passed this:
    deserialize - struct
    1
    SERIALISED
    2
    JSON
    3
    [empty string]
    The first argument is the value to work on, and the second is the type of deserialisation to do. I have no idea what the third argument is for, and it's not mentioned directly or indirectly on that docs page. So dunno what the story is there.
    The next issue isn't a code-oriented one, but an implementation one: how the hell are we expected to work with this?
    The only way to work here is for each function to have a long array of IF/ELSEIF statements which somehow identify each object type that is serialisable, and then return true from canSerialise(), or in the case of serialize(), go ahead and do the serialisation. So this means this one CFC needs to know about everything which can be serialised in the entire application. Talk about a failure in "separation of concerns".
    You know the best way of determining if an object can be seriaslised? Ask it! Don't rely on something else needing to know. This can be achieved very easily in one of two ways:
    Check to see if the object implements a "Serializable" interface, which requires a serialize() method to exist.
    Or simply take the duck-typing approach: if a CFC implements a serialize() method: it can be serialised. By calling that method. Job done.
    Either approach would work fine, keeps things nicely encapsulated, and I see merits in both. And either make far more sense than Adobe's approach. Which is like something from the "OO Failures Special Needs" class.
    Deserialisation is trickier. Because it relies on somehow working out how to deserialise() an object. I'm not sure of the best approach here, but - again - how to deserialise something should be as close to the thing needing deserialisation as possible. IE: something in the serialised data itself which can be used to bootstrap the process.
    This could simply be a matter of specifying a CFC type at a known place in the serialised data. EG: Adobe stipulates that if the serialised data is JSON, and at the top level of the JSON is a key eg: type, and the value is an extant CFC... use that CFC's deserialize() method. Or it could look for an object which contains a type and a method, or whatever. But Adobe can specify a contract there.
    The only place I see a centralised CFC being relevant here is for a mechanism for handling serialised data that is neither a ColdFusion internal type, nor identifiable as above. In this case, perhaps they could provide a mechanism for a serialisation router, which basically has a bunch of routes (if/elseifs if need be) which contains logic as to how to work out how to deserialise the data. But it should not be the actual deserialiser, it should simply have the mechanism to find out how to do it. This is actually pretty much the same in operation as the deserialize() approach in the current implementation, but it doesn't need the canDeserialize() method (it can return false at the end of the routing), and it doesn't need to know about serialising. And also it's not the main mechanism to do the deserialisation, it's just the fall back if the prescribed approach hasn't been used.
    TBH, this still sounds a bit jerry-built, and I'm open for better suggestions. This is probably a well-trod subject in other languages, so it might be worth looking at how the likes of Groovy, Ruby or even PHP (eek!) achieve this.
    There's still another issue with the current approach. And this demonstrates that the Adobe guys don't actually work with either CFML applications or even modern websites. This approach only works for a single, stand-alone website (like how we might have done in 2001). What if I'm not in the business of building websites, but I build applications such as FW/1 or ColdBox or the like? Or any sort of "helper" application. They cannot use the current Adobe implementation of the customserializer. Why? Because the serialisation code needs to be in a website-specific CFC. There's no way for Luis to implement a custom serialiser in ColdBox (for example), and then have it work for someone using ColdBox. Because it relies on either editing Application.cfc to specify a different CFC, or editing the existing customSerializer CFC. Neither of which are very good solutions. This should have been immediately apparent to the Adobe engineer(s) implementing this stuff had they actually had any experience with modern web applications (which generally aren't just a single monolithic site, but an aggregation of various other sub applications). Equally, I know it's not a case of having thought about this and [I'm just missing something], because when I asked them the other day, at first they didn't even get what I was asking, but when I clarified were just like "oh yeah... um... err... yeah, you can't do that. We'll... have to... ah yeah". This has been raised as bug 3750731.
    So I declare the intent here valid, but the implementation to be more alpha- / pre-release- quality, not release-ready.
    Still: it could be easily deprecated and rework fairly easily. I've raised this as bug 3750732.
    Or am I missing something?
    Adam

    Yes, you can easily add additional questions to the Lookup.WebClient.Questions Lookup to allow some additional choices. We have added quite a few additional choices, we have noticed that removing them once people have selected them causes some errors.
    You can also customize the required number of questions to select when each user sets them up as well as the number required to be correct to reset the password, these options are in the System Configuration settings.
    If you need multi-language versions of the questions, you will also need to modify the appropriate language resource file in the xlWebApp.war file to provide the necessary translations for the values entered into the Lookup.

  • Custom OIM java client not working

    Hi all,
    I am trying to execute a custom OIM java client in my server. The java file just has the code to connect to the OIM server and it is failing at the line
    ConfigurationClient.ComplexSetting config = ConfigurationClient.getComplexSettingByPath("Discovery.CoreServer");
    The basic content of the java file OIMTry.java is given below:
    env.put("java.security.auth.login.config", "/u01/apps/resetpwd/config/auth.conf");
    env.put("java.security.policy", "/u01/apps/resetpwd/config/xl.policy");
    env.put("XL.HomeDir", "/u01/apps/resetpwd");
    ConfigurationClient.ComplexSetting config = ConfigurationClient.getComplexSettingByPath("Discovery.CoreServer");
    env = config.getAllSettings();
    I have set the OIM related jar files in classpath in .bash_profile and able to echo the classpath as well.
    However, the file is executing perfectly in Eclipse tool but not from command prompt.The file is getting compiled properly at command prompt.
    I have tried various options of executing the java file as shown below.

    Hi,
    We were unable to create tcUtilityFactory instance when the env variables are set using the hashmap.
    Instead it is working when we set using System.setProperty() as shown below:
    System.setProperty("XL.HomeDir", "/u01/apps/OIMPwdReset");
    System.setProperty("java.security.policy", "/u01/apps/OIMPwdReset/config/xl.policy");//server or client
    System.setProperty("java.security.auth.login.config", "/u01/apps/OIMPwdReset/config/auth.conf");//server or client
    Hope this helps other guys..

  • How to create publishing custom approval workflow will assign approvers.

    Hi All,
    I am new in sharepoint development.
    I have a page library where we add artical page with different department
    I want to create publishing custom approval workflow will assign approvers based on what department is selected for display.  The departments pull from the Other list.  On that list each department is assigned an approval group. That approval
    group is what should be used for approving the item.
    need send to mail with based on selected department approval group
    thanks in advance.

    Ok, what you're asking for is something that people do all the time, but you say you are new to sharepoint development... So...
    Here's how you would do it in SPD:
    http://blog.symprogress.com/2011/03/sharepoint-2010-dynamic-approvers-for-oob-approval-workflow/
    and here's how you can do it in visual studio:
    http://www.mpspartners.com/2011/10/SharePoint2010ApprovalWorkflowDynamicApprovers/
    Either way should work, it just depends on your comfort level inside the dev environment.

  • Assigning List Fields in a Custom Reusable Workflow

    I am creating a custom Reusable Workflow and associating it with a Task List (base list) as well as another assigned Task List (associated).
    I would like to assign the result of the "Assigned To" column to a "Workflow Variable" so that I can use this value for other Workflow operations as well.
    However, I am having a hard time understanding how to perform lookups and assignments from lists in a Reusable Workflow.  In List-based workflows, I know that I can simply use "Current Item" and that seems to address most needs, but I have
    no idea how to tackle this functionality in an SharePoint 2013 Reusable Workflow.
    I have attached a screenshot of value assignment from SharePoint Designer for your review. The result of this value assignment needs to be assigned to a workflow variable.
    In my test workflow, the assignment of the field from the list never occurs (it is not logged in my Workflow History List), so I am sure something is wrong with the way I am using it.
    Any direction and advice on how to accomplish this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to know how to use the lookup and assignment from the reusable workflow.
    We could not get the “Assigned To” column in the reusable workflow.
    As when we select the current item or current list, there is no “Assigned to” column in the reusable workflow.
    We can only get the value when the user assigned by the workflow not assigned by the UI.
    If you wanted to get the “Assigned To”, you can use the list workflow to achieve it.
    I created a simple reusable workflow using a “Assign a task” action, we can get the assigned user as the below lookup, you can have a look at it.
    Thanks,
    Jason

  • How to get OIM workflow waiting for a task successfully completed?

    The requirement is to get OIM provisiong workflow pending and wait for a external status ready. When the external status not ready, I return "REJECTED" which mapped to "P" in "Task->Reponse" tab. Meanwhile, in the "Task->General" tab, I set the "Retry Count" to 5 and "Retry Period in Minutes" to 1.
    I have hoped that once the task return "REJECTED", the workflow enter status "Pending". One minute later, the task re-instanced by OIM to have another check for whether the external status ready. If ready, return "COMPLETED". If not yet, return "REJECTED" and workflow re-enter pending. And on and on, until to max to 5 times attempt. But in fact, OIM workflow never attempt to re-enter the task again after the 1st time "REJECTED" returned.
    How to do with this?

    Use the code snippet below to get the task status. Based on this you can filter rejected tasks.
    userintf = (tcUserOperationsIntf) ioUtilityFactory.getUtility("Thor.API.Operations.tcUserOperationsIntf");
    provintf = (tcProvisioningOperationsIntf)ioUtilityFactory.getUtility("Thor.API.Operations.tcProvisioningOperationsIntf");
    long userKey=100;
    tcResultSet userresultSet = userintf.getObjects(userKey);
    for(int i=0;i<userresultSet.getRowCount();i++)
         userresultSet.goToRow(i);
         long processKey = userresultSet.getLongValue("Process Instance.Key");
         tcResultSet provresultSet = provintf.getProcessDetail(processKey);
         for(int j=0; i<provresultSet.getRowCount();j++)
              provresultSet.goToRow(j);
              String taskName = provresultSet.getStringValue("Process Definition.Tasks.Task Name");
              String taskStatus = provresultSet.getStringValue("Process Instance.Task Details.Status");
    Let me know if you have any queries...

  • Customer inquiry workflow

    Hi, guys
    Is it possible to customize the email notification I receive in the customer inquiry workflow? The problem is that they all look the same when they come in and it takes time to hunt and peck and find differences.
    It's be great if the email could have the name and email address of person making the inquiry, for example.
    Any input, as always, greatly appreciated!!
    jacqui

    hi, Liam
    Yes. I've done that. My client's request was to put the user's email address in the Subject line to make it easy to differentiate the Notification emails as they get stacked in Gmail.

  • Custom BPEL Workflow and Content DB

    Hi,
    I am trying to register my custom BPEL workflow and trying to run from ContentDB default site, I can see that request in my request report but I can not see that process in BPEL Console.
    1) Is there any place I can see logs?
    2) Any good documentation apart from B31268-02 Admin Guide?
    It just opens my worklist application

  • Customized form/workflow in reconciliation

    Hi!
    I'm using IdM 7.1 and I have some troubles with setting up the reconciliation.
    I have an authoritative AD resource and I need to have customized forms/workflows for spreading changes detected on this resource to IdM and other resources. I would like to use reconciliation, but I don't know where to define, which workflow/form is used for creating, updating or deleting user in reconciliation process.
    I tried to define new ProxyAdmin with assigned customized UserForm and assign this ProxyAdmin to reconciliation process. But this seems to not work.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi
    have you been able to solve this problem regarding the "User Form --- Workflow" relationship?
    I am having the same problem at the moment; I've posted it here on the Forum, but have not received any replies yet.
    I have created and customized user forms. But now, I am trying to create Workflows, which will act as a "continuation" of the entire process.
    In other words, I am trying to find out exactly how the relationship between the Forms and the Workflows should be created?
    What code should be written in the Forms themselves, so that once the form is Saved and Submitted, the process will move on straight to the Workflow, and execute whatever activities are coded there?
    How can this be done?
    Thanks

  • Customer master workflow

    Hi Experts,
    We are developing a customer master workflow, when ever customer master record is created the workflow will be triggered.
    This triggering event is mapped to the change doc object debi.
    My concern is i want to raise this event at sales org or company code creation level.
    I tried doing this validation at check function module,however the record gets already created & updated in tables. So im not able to validate at this point.
    Please advice , how can we achieve this.
    Thanks in advance for your inputs.
    Regards
    Keerthi

    Hi,
    If you are using a Webdynpro alpplication ... then it would be easier.
    There should be "Create" button. In the WDA this button is linked with a action-method.
    Now write down the code to start workflow. You can use the following method to start a workflow.
    SWW_WI_START_SIMPLE : General Task not required
    SWU_START_WORKFLOW : General Task not required
    SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW : General Task Required
    EWW_WORKFLOW_START : General Task not required
    Now design the workflow as per your requirement ( single level / multiple level ). after all approval call a FM to save in the IT, if rejected this FM should not be called. You can also set up the notification to the initiating user to notify the approval/rejection by the approver.
    Hoping that this might help you.
    Thanks and regards,
    SNJY
