Customer contact and business activity

Hi,
I have a requirement , When we create a Business activity in CRM that should should create and maintain in ISU( R3) as Customer contact with the same number range ..
Like wise if I create a customer contact in ISU that should create in CRM as Business contact with same number range..
Please suggest me what all the customizations required for this ?

Welcome to Numbers discussions.
When spreadsheets first appeared, I'm going back to the original Lotus 123, they were used by many folks and organizations as flat file databases so the short answer is yes you could do it.
After reading your request a better answer would be to look at a relational database such as File Maker Pro and their new Beneto perhaps. Of course it depends on your needs, type of data recorded etc. Based on your reporting desires personally I'd lean towards database not a spreadsheet.
Do evaluate your needs, what you want out of your data now and down the road. I wouldn't want to start with a spreadsheet then realize months, years later it should have been in a database—been there done that got that tee shirt and scars. I've worked with many that this happened to. UGH!
I'm sure others will jump in here with other more helpful suggestions.

    I'd like to keep track of my clients and business activity using Numbers spreadsheets, pages or tables. I'd like to be able to generate reports/charts of business activity by client, or by month. So far I'm just creating numerous tables on one sheet -- one table for the clients, then a table for each month that shows business activity. Is there a better way to do this? Thanks.

  • Complaint about customer service and business practices

    I am creating this post to make public a complaint i have about unethical practices and poor customer service with Verizon.
    Here is the story:
    A few months back our landline stopped working. Called Verizon and followed all of the troubleshooting steps to try and fix the problem. No dice. I called again- they said they could send a tech out to fix the phone line- and was told specifically that if the problem was INSIDE the house and involved the tech coming INSIDE then there would be a $91 service charge. If the problem was OUTSIDE the house, no charge. So cautious that the problem might be inside, I replaced the phone jack and tried multiple phones etc to make sure it was not an inside issue. Called back and scheduled an appt. The tech came out- was extremely friendly and immediately located and fixed the problem- IN THE BOX OUTSIDE. Said there was a short in one of the lines at the box. It took him less than 5 min. I said- that was easy! He said- yup- and will save you money too (by not having to go inside). That was that. The next month we got our statement (we're on autopay)- and there it was- $91 charge. I called customer service- and after some passing around and review of the tech's notes by the rep- that stated he did NOT enter the house, they agreed to credit us back the $91 on our next bill. That was last month. Statement arrives today- NO CREDIT. I call back. After more passing around I am finally told that it was not credited because our "request" was denied. What? I said? The request was reviewed and denied based on the "notes" showing that i was "informed of the charges at the time of service"? Um, what? No i wasnt. I was informed MULTIPLE times PRIOR to the appt that i COULD incurr charges if the tech came in the house. He did not- his tech notes even state that. So now i get passed to a supervisor. He tells me that the tech notes state that i was told of the charges at the time of service. Funny- the month prior to that when i first called the notes did not state that at all- they simple said that he did not enter the house. Somehow after my "request" was filed the tech notes were modified. The supervisor was very curt and short and said the case was already reviewed and denied- no credit. He then goes on to say that the reason for the charge was because the tech did work on a line that LED into the house? What? Don't all the phone lines LEAD into the house? And regardless- it was explained several times to me that the ONLY charges would be if he came in the house. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for years- but i was shocked and quite frankly **bleep** off. NEVER was i told about any charges during the service. In fact i was told the exact opposite- that there would be NO charges since he never entered the house. This is a horribly deceptive practice- and i am NOT HAPPY. I told the "supervisor" so- who didnt seem to care at all- and told him that i would consider canceling my service because of this- at which he happily said "would you like me to transfer you to cancelations?" wow. Unfortunately I am still locked into my 2 year agreement- however i will unquestionably be looking to switch to brighthouse after its up and will be recommending likewise to my friends and family. You simply cannot tell a customer one thing and then charge them for another. Dont they record all the phone calls for "quality assurance"? Well if so, then they need to listen to the calls i made prior to the appt to ensure that i would NOT be charged if the tech did not enter the house. I triple confirmed this. Verizon has completely lost any credibility in my opinion. NOT HAPPY.

    WHAT? First off I WAS NEVER INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A DIFFERENCE OF WHERE THE WIRE WAS OUTSIDE MY HOUSE. I was simply told if the work/wires were ANYWHERE ON THE OUTSIDE of the house, which they were, then no charge.  "Internal side of the NID leading into your home"- THIS WAS STILL ALL OUTSIDE! NO ONE EVER SAID IF THE WIRE WAS ON A PARTICULAR SIDE OF THE NID BOX I WOULD BE CHARGED! ONLY IF THE WORK WAS INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE HOUSE! THIS IS CRAZY! AND ARE YOU SERIOUS ABOUT AN INSIDE WIRE MAINTENANCE PLAN? WHO THE HELL HAS THIS? OR HAS EVEN HEARD OF IT?
    I AM SIMPLY AMAZED THAT A HUGE COMPANY LIKE VERIZON FEELS THE NEED TO BULLY AROUND AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE LIKE ME. SHAME ON YOU VERIZON. CLEARLY I HAVE LITTLE RECOURSE HERE, HOWEVER AS MENTIONED BEFORE I WILL BE CANCELING MY SERVICE AS SOON AS MY CONTRACT IS UP (TO AVOID ANY RIDICULOUS EARLY TERMINATION CHARGES0 AND WILL BE RECOMMENDING THE SAME TO OTHERS. YOU CANNOT TELL A CUSTOMER ONE THING AND THEN DO ANOTHER. LISTEN TO THE PHONE RECORDS FOR WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE THE APPT- ALL I WAS TOLD IS THAT THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE FOR WORK DONE OUTSIDE THE HOUSE...ONLY CHARGE WOULD BE IF WORK WAS DONE INSIDE. WOW.   • APEX Bugs: Editing customer contacts and uploading attachments

    I'm using the pre-packaged application, "customer tracker"
    Application Version 2.2.35
    Build Version 4, Application Express 4.2.3
    I am using it on a MAC
    And am having some issues with the pre-packaged application "customer tracker".  I uploaded a bunch of data. However, now when I try to edit a contact record, I get the following error:
    1 error has occurred unable to extend table application_name.EBA_CUST_History by 8 in tablespace APEX_5956688132079418188.
    It doesn't matter if I'm using Firefox or Safari.
    The only way I can modify customer records is to completely delete them and then manually add each one back in -- which is not very scalable. I was able to edit records previously.  This just started yesterday.
    Is this a known issue?  Any way to fix?
    I end up getting the same type of issue when I try to manually add an attachment  It doesn't matter if I'm adding a word doc or a PDF, same error.  This error started after I manually uploaded a handful of attachments last week. The error reads as follows:
    Unable to extend lob segment application_name.sys_LOB0006066941C00008$$ by 128 in tablespace APEX_5956688132079418188.
    Could someone please assist?

    Not an APEX issue,  your database tablespace needs cleaning up/expanding...

  • Installed Office 2013 home and Business and its prompting activation for Office 2013 standard

    Dear Friends,
    Previously i got a trial version of Office 2013 stadard version on my PC and later on i purchased Office home and business version, i uninstalled standard version restarted the PC and installed Office 2013 home and Business OEM pack and activated the prduct.
    Now while i am opening any  office product like Excel or Word while checking for activation information there its showing me both the versions of office, Office 2013 standard (activation required) and office 2013 Home and business activated. Now my question
    is why that office standard 2013 is still showing in my activation page where as the same version was unable to find in my control panel programs and features. please help me out to get rid of this issue.

    Maybe you didn't remove the the Standard version completely, I suggest you uninstall Office using the Fix it tool:
    Click this Fix it.
    Or we can uninstall Office 2013 manually, the steps are long and depend on your installation method, please refer to this article below:
    Manually uninstall Office 2013 or Office 365
    Note   Before you start, you need to know removing Office manually is a long, complex process and might require that you reinstall the operating system if certain steps are done incorrectly.
    After the uninstall, install the version you need to check the result.

    Transaction BCT0 and BCT1 are used to create and maintain Contact Log..
    Also you can see object BCONTACT in transaction SWO1...

    I am working on FSCM 6.4 Collection Management, while i tried to create customer contact and tried to get the contact information from get contact person from the process receivables it is showing blank, i can create it manually but by any means if i could see the contact information as it is available in FI-AR in general data, it is replicated from CRM business partner to FI. Please help me with standard procedure people adopt for the customer contact information in business partner collection management or credit management.

    Also sent you another message and you are omnipresent in Collections (at least - as I am searching that only).
    I am not able to sync ECC-Customer/Contact Person as FSCM-BP/Contact Perso.
    And Contact Person doesn't appear in worklist.
    Customer created/changed (with a Contact Person) is synced, but, fails when there is a Contact Person.
    Seek you kind help.

    Basis recently activated

    but not:

  • FSCM Collections - Customer Contact Result in the Worklist

    Hi Experts,
    I have implemented FSCM Collections at my client and they have a question regarding the customer contact result in the worklist.
    Indeed when one creates a customer contact and generates the worklist again (via transaction UDM_GEN_WL), it seems that the customer contact Results (code & name) disappear (regardless of the result type or settings in customizing).
    Do you know how we can prevent these data from being removed from the worklist during the worklist generation ?

    To all who that might interest: I adressed my questions to a SAP consultant and his answer was the following:
    > Regarding question 1: when the worklist is generated, why is the Last Contact Date not updated ?
    This is controlled by customizing and whether field u2018reachedu2019 is flagged or not in the u2018result codeu2019 settings. If it is flagged, the last contact time and date is updated when the work list is created.
    > Regarding question 2: when the worklist is generated, why is the Last Contact Result not updated ?
    This is the standard system behaviour and here is an explanation on why that is.
    Once you run UDM_GENWL, the customer contact result is set to blank. SAP Development rationale is the following.
    During the day, an specialist opens his/her worklist and successfully contacts the customer. The specialist chooses the result u2018customer reachedu2019 and the work item goes to the completed item list. Now the supervisor runs UDM_GENWL during the night and  a new worklist is created. The next day, the specialist accesses his/her worklist. If the result of the customer contact is not reset and still has a value u2018customer reachedu2019, the specialist may get confused and not know whether to contact the customer today or not. That is the reason why it was decided to reset the field result of customer contact when the worklist is created.
    I guess we can argue on whether it is the right design or not, but it is the standard system behaviour. Having said that, it is possible to add customer specific fields on the work list screen using BAdI UDM_WL_ITEM_DISP_C. This could be used in order to populate a custom field with the u2018customer contact resultu2019. Using FM UDM_CCT_LAST_GET you can get the last customer contact and you can use FM UDM_CCT_RESULT_PROPERTY_GET to get the description of the result code. This is rather easily done but requires some development.

    Hi,
    If this is a Characterstic defined - definitely this will be getting populated from Billing document in SD Module. Secondly, there could be a derivation rule defined as per your configuration. Derivation rules can be checked in Transaction code - KEDR.

    I have one requirement for adding one custom field in ME2B for ALV output. From some old thread i come to know we have to implement BADI "ME_CHANGE_OUTTAB_CUS". But when i search for this BADI its not available.
    For this BADI suppose we have to activate one business function MM, Integration of Materials Management and Financial Accounting (LOG_MMFI_P2P).
    I want to know if we activate this business function then what are the changes will happen in our system(In standard transaction).
    Please revert.

    Hi Team,
    I resolved this issue using enhancement without using BADI. My team not ready to activate the Business so i moved to implicit enhancement.
    Inside method " if_reader_mm~read_table." in include "LMEREPI02", we are getting the Fieldcatlog and dynamic table for output. Here i have added my custom field and changed the dynamic structure with reference " ex_table_ref ".
    I know this is not a proper way to do, but it is not affecting the standard process.
