Customer Payment Discounts beyond 2 levels

All,
We are currently using "standard" discount successfully for our customer payments.  We recently purchased a new business with discounts that are outside the norm for SAP.  
Example:
Payment in 30 days  5.6% discount
Payment between 31 - 60 days 4.8% discount
Payment between 61 - 90 days 4.0% discount
Payment between 91 - 120 days 3.2% discount
Payment between 121 -150 days 2.4% discount
Payment after 150 day no discount
Is there a way to automatically handle this scenario?

    Hello Gurus,
    I have configured the system for the Customer Payment Terms in SAP but I am having hard time showing that correctly in FBL5N.
    For Example:
    Invoice Value $100
    Payment Term 2% Discount
    Customer Pays on time $98
    In FBL5N main display screen, I see the customer account after clearing as follows:
    Invoice Value $100 (Clear)
    Incoming Payment $100- (Clear)
    To see the discount and actual cash posted to the right accounts, I need to drill down in the Incoming Payment Document Entry to see the following information:
    40 Payment Discount $2
    40 Actual Cash Received $98
    15 Customer Invoice $100
    Can I see the above posting on the main screen of FBL5N without using F-32 (Clear Customer) so that I could see the actual payment discount and actual cash paid by the customer?

    Hi salman
    With the help of ABAPER, Activate BTE 1650 and add a new column named discount in the FBL5N report.
    Give the logic for the same to fetch the amount of discount in the said added column. Also, if the amount of receipt is also required, Column for actual amount received can also be added.
    Through this you can get both the amount received and discount in the FBL5N report.

  • Posting customer payment advice with discount

    Hello - We are posting a customer payment advice that contains a cash discount that is outside the payment terms.  However we still want to accept the discount.  But when we pocess the payment advice via F-28 the discount is not taken from the payment advice (i.e. the discount field is blank) when we process the open items.  Any ideas on how we can populate the discount amount when processing the open item?

    So you want discount to be automatically populated when the open item is eligibile for discount?
    There is automatic account assignment for this. Goto OBXI- give the gl account and posting key here.
    This should take care.

  • Posting customer payment at line item level

    Hi all ,
    Is there any way that we can configure customer payment in lock box to be done at line item level,
    what I mean here is if some invoice has three line items then can we configure some BADIs & do some ABAP coding to post at one of the line items?

    Not sure of vendor invoice. But we did customer invoice payments at item level. Follow below steps.
    1. FIll in all the details in F-28 iitial screen.
    2. In additional selections select radio button Others, Press enter.
    3. In the popup select document number.
    4. Here enter ur accounting doc number.
    5. Click on process open items
    6. Here u will get all line items. Now click on search and select line item, Neter item number.
    7. Now u will get only the line items u want.
    8. Now u can do complete or partial payments as per ur req.

This module helps analyze profitability of customers, markets and products at various levels of contribution margins. Profitability is measured down to the SD billing document line and is adjusted periodically against standard costs and other costs.
    It has 2 methods of approach :
    Costing based Profitability Analysis - This is primarily designed to let you analyze profits quickly for the purpose of sales management.
    Account based Profitabilty Analysis - This type of Profitability Analysis enables you to reconcile cost and financial accounting at any time using accounts.

  • Credit memo request to correct Sales order after customer payment

    Hello all,
    Could you please give me any suggetion on this issue:
    We uploded sales orders  from legacy system into sap and create invoice but we made a mistake, we didn't take into account a discount in price conditions.
    The Customer payment is correct and also uploaded from legacy system.
    I'm required to correct the difference by doing a Credit memo request and credit memo with reference to sales sorder, so my questions :
    Do I create credit memo request with ref. to SO for all items, quantities and price or just for a discount amount (what i think) ?
    Any input will be appreciated.

    If you know the discounted amount for each account then as per my view you directly can create  credit note from the FI side so manage the differences.

    Hi Gurus,
    FI -AR:
    in Customer Payment Summary report we have key figures like Arrears with cash discount and Arrears with out cash discount along with key figures Payement with cash discount and payment without cash discount.
    Could some one explain about what does the meaning of Arrears with cash discount and Arrears with out cash discount key figures.

    Program RFDOPR20 enables you to carry out a detailed analysis of the payment history of customers. It also contains a forecast of payment volumes and payment arrears, based on the existing payment history.
    Requirements
    Information on the payment history of a customer is only stored in the system if you select the field Rec.pmnt.hist. in the company code-dependent area of the customer master record.
    Output
    The following information on the payment history is displayed:
    Customer type
    Using as a parameter the payment volume in the periods under consideration, the system determines whether the customer in question is generally a net payer or a cash discount payer.
    The type of customer is determined as follows:
    If the customer usually utilizes the full payment period without claiming a cash discount deduction, he is a net payer.
    If the customer usually pays in time to claim a cash discount deduction, he is a cash discount payer.
    Arrears in days
    The average days in arrears are determined as follows: Every incoming payment in the periods concerned is multiplied by its days in arrears. These amounts are added together and then divided by the total amount from all the incoming payments. This process ensures that the days in arrears are weighted by the payment amount.
    Forecast for arrears in the next period
    This forecast is based on the customer type that the system determined and attempts to make a forecast for the arrears in the subsequent period based on the payment volume data and the total resulting from the above mentioned calculation involving the payment and days in arrears. In this case, only data from the chosen periods is used.
    To make this forecast, the system carries out separate forecasts for the payment volume and the total described above, and then determines the number of days in arrears by division.
    Linear, logarithmic, exponential and potential models are used for the forecast, the optimal model being chosen in each case.
    By choosing the menu option "Forecast" you can display more information, such as:
    Payment volume in the periods under consideration
    Trend for days in arrears (gradient of the curve for the days in arrears, based on the forecast value for the subsequent period)
    Specifications on how the forecast was created (including a forecast for the payment volume in the subsequent period)
    For the information described above, the entries for "Number of periods" and "With current period" are important. The "number of periods" determines how many periods are to be taken into account in the calculations (these are always the most recent periods). The current period, which is only taken into account if the checkbox "With current period" is marked, is an exception. If the current period is included, it distorts the forecast, if it contains postings which are not complete.
    Further information offered by the program includes:
    Volume of open items
    Breakdown of number of payments, payment volume and arrears by period, where the last values are both subdivided into payments with cash discount or net payments. In these cases, the days in arrears are determined by weighting the amounts by the volume of the payment in question. You can display the results as a bar chart by selecting the menu option "Graphic".

  • Incoming Payment Discount

    Greetings Gurus...
    I need to generate a report to show the incoming payment discount taken during cash application to customers.  For example, a customer has an invoice for $100, they pay only $99, the AR clerk puts $1 discount in the Incoming Payments window on SAP B1.
    What table holds that $1???
    How can I write SQL to show the $100, $1, and $99...

  • Change of Customer Payment Term

    Hi Gurus,
    We are planning to change the payment term of our customer accounts this October.
    For example:
    Customer A
    Payment term last September is payable in 20 days.
    October 10- payment term was changed to 10 days
    Kindly advise if the postings that were already made from the previous months will be affected if we change the payment term of that customer?  Or will it only affect the postings that will be made after the change in payment term was executed.  My worry is that the computation of net due date and amount will be affected if we change the terms of payment.

    Hi:
        Payment terms are copied into Sale order from payment terms maintained customer master data at sale organization level..Whatever you give in their is copied to sale order and is taken to billing document and once document is posted it starts appearing in posting document line item in FI...Baseline date calculates the aging of open items standing in customer ledger ...If you change the customer payment term then there is no issue..its a normal business process to do so...It will not affect already existing data ....Invoice posted with new payment term will have their own aging in ledger..Hence you can carry on with their change, From control point of view just make sure that none should be allowed to payment term or base line date in a posted document. This can be prevented using document change rules in OB32...I hope it will help you.

  • Customer Cash discount Base blank

    Hi,
    I have been reading all the posts to do with customer payment terms and the working of disounts.   I think I am missing some configuration to allow customer discounts to post on incoming payments.  We have payment terms set up in OBB8 ok and have set the cash discount base.  Discounts work out for vendor outgoing payments for payment terms set up exactly the same so I am hoping someone could tell me what I am still missing that prevents the discount from posting.
    Basically we are looking to give a direct debit discount.  The payment term is set up to default baselin to document date, payment method of Direct debit,  then under payment terms section I have term 1 at 1% with a fixed date of 20 and 1 additional month.  I have also tried the customer one with a simple % and no of days.
    I can see on my vendor invoices that there is an amount in the discount base field but on customer invoices this field is empty so i presume that what ever drives this population is missing.  I thought the cash disc base would have driven this though?
    Any advise welcomed.

    The field status for each posting key is the same for customers and vendors for payment deduction field - set to optional.. Works fine for Vendors but not for Customers.  We can see the field on the customer screen it just has no value.

    if you want maintain individual Customer level - Credit limits means User Tcode - FD32
    but directly we do not have any Customer Payment Limits -
    if you want maintain Tolerance Groups FI - as per below screen

    when you pass following entry
    Bank dr  
    to Customer
    All header data like co code currecy ref , period etc goes to BKPF,
    line item - Bank Dr ( its a GL  entry ) goes to BSIS
    line item- Customer Cr ( its a AR entry ) goes to BSID or BSAD depends it is cleared or still open
    Also both the line items goes to BSEG
