Customization of Billing and Receipt History Report
HI,
I am trying to customize the standard report "Billing and Receipt History" in Accounts Receivable.
I need to sort the data in the report based on due date.
I have commented all the other sort criteria in the queries but still the report does not show the result as needed.
Please let me know how to sort data in reports.

I have written the FS but where I need to write this program I am unable to find.
Will this be implemented through User Exit?

BILLING HISTORY REPORT AND BILLING AND RECEIPT HISTORY REPORT
I ran both the billing history report and the billing and receipt history report. There are invoices on the one report but not the other. I then checked it to the age analysis report as well.
There are three outstanding invoice on the age analysis report and on the billing and receipt history report, but not on the billing history report.
Any idea why this is so?

First, you will have to fetch all the Print documents corresponding to the Contract account from ERDK table and then fetch the data for the Print document,Billing document and the Contract from the table DBERDLB.
Then get the Move-in and Move-out information from the table EVER and Bill start date and end date from the table ERCH.
Once, you have all this information, then the consumption can be of 2 types : Daliy meter read and Monthly meter read (depends on the client's requirements).
For daily consumption, you will have to consider the Profiles which can be found out with the help of the FM ISU_PROFILE_GET_EPROFVALDAY and then calculate the consumption accordingly.
For monthly meter reads, you will have to find out the information from the Equipment or the meter installed.
Kindly let me know in case you need any further calrifications on the same.

BP telephone and mobile change history report
Hi,
Requirement: We have a new requirement to create a new report that will display the change history of a customer who has done changes in their mobile or telephone number during a specific period.
My approach was:
Read the cdhdr data based on the objectclass objectID and udate.
Read data from cdpos for all records from cdhdr.
Consolidate and display the report.
All data is coming correct except the type of telephone.
I am not being able to distinguise between the telephone type ( mobile or telephone) using the fname field of table cdpos.
When we insert mobile/telephone thru XD02/XD03, the entries in fname field in cdpos are as TELF1 for telephone and TELF2 for mobile. But when we modify or change the telephone or mobile, each entry of table cdpos in field fname is TELF1 or TEL_NUMBER.
How can we differiantiate which type of telephone number is there in table cdpos? Is there any other change document table we can read to differiantiate between telephone types?

It does not appear in CDPOS because Data element /SCMTMS/INVOICING_STATUS_CODE does not have CHANGE DOCUMENT enabled.
I have also seen there is no such field to determine invoice status in /SCMTMS/D_TRQROT or /SCMTMS/D_TORROT tables. But we have appended customer specific fields to update the Invoicing status. You will have to do the same if you want.
For quantity, Distance and duration, yes they appear multiple times.
However, the only way is to reduce the number of records is to put a filter on CDHDR-UDATE (Creation date of the change document).
You can also add Change document number additionally to your report selection criteria to improve the result.

We were told this was fixed with 10G so we upgraded to 10G. We have a
report and we want it to execute if it's less than 10 records if not we want a
message to come up that the report needs to be scheduled.
Well we run the report and it displays exceeded record count but the format
still runs so no time saved on the web.
If the record count was exceeded we want to HALT the system and not go any
farther.
Now if we could modify the system message 1825 we would be o.k. But we don't
know if that is going to work. If we could change the message we would be
o.k. with that. that would mean changing the system codes though.
### How is the Report being called (Command line, URL or via Oracle Forms): ###
If false comes back in the beginning then we don't want any report formatting
to be done. Right now the format is done it seems but no data is displayed
because criteria isn't met.
So we dont wnat the formatting to be run when criteria isn't met. But for
some
reason it still runs and takes time.
See we have some reports on the web that can only be ran by date range right
now the clients can only run the reports for a 6 months range.. Well some
clients have a lot smaller record count. So we want to change the way the
reports are ran to a records count. If the count is large than said amount
then a message comes up that states the report has to be scheduled. If the
amount is under said amount then the report runs.
So at this time in the report we do a count then we move onto will the report
run or not if over the amount we want to abort the process but we don't want
the client to see the abort. We definately don't want the client to sit and
wait for the format to run when NO Data is to be returned.

So what we want is too see a message "Schedule the report count exceeded" and
NO formatting done. If under amount we want the report to run.

As talked to you on phone, here are the steps for you to try.
The below has been run as a test case using emp table in scott schema of a database
1) create a summary coloumn say cs_1 in the data model.
2) point the function to count.
3) Point the source to what ever's count you want it to be pointed to(say empno of emp table of
scott schema)
4) create a user parameter say NO_ROWS
5) in its property palette make its data type number and initial value as 1
6) I had teh following query for my report:
select empno, ename from emp
where rownum <= :no_rows
This means that the report that will be generated will consist of a total no of NO_ROWS(that we
shall be specifying at run time). The before report trigger(mentioned in 7 below) shall assure
that whenever we specify NO_ROWS greater than 5 then the report will display a customized pop up
message.
7) create a before report trigger as:

This way when u run a report, an argument is asked whether how many rows do you want to be
displayed as in the parameter NO_ROWS. then you specify the number. If that number is greater
than 5(in this case, due to if :cs_1 > 5 then....) then it will pop up a message saying "Data is
more please schedule this report:"
In case you do not want to specify NO_ROWS..then you need not put that and modify the report
query as "select empno, empname from emp;" i.e. without where clause.

I tried this step by step, but unfortunately, it doesn't work the way we want.
First with this suggestion, the user needs to choose how many records they
want
to get, or we default a number of records, in order to run the report. The most
important thing is, whenever you specify the statement return false or raise
SRW.PROGRAM_ABORT in the before report trigger, the system message will pop up.
I really hope that people from Oracle would let us know how to customize the
system message or hide it.

New info : I just thought that we have some sort of message, which I guess is
from the database, when we do claim search on client inquiry. I am just
wondering if we could try the same thing to the report.
The some sort of message looks like this on dev box:
Your search exceeded 5000 records and will surpass the capabilities of this
connection. Please narrow the search criteria and resubmit.
It's just a thought, not sure if it's going to work.

We cannot modify the system messages nor do I think there is a method to hide the system message. The message that was coming is
due to the raise srw.program_abort command, which is the element through which
we can abort the program.

nternally. Still if you wish you may refer to the otn discussion forum which is

Printing a bill and a letter in the same report
I wanna print in the same report 2 pages for each row of my table, one for a letter, the other for the bill so I put the letter on the heading page of my report and the bill page on the body.
The problem is , when I run it , all letters are printed first and then bills.and that's not good for me because I wanna have for example: on page 1 :letter for row 1 and on page 2 :bill for row 1,
on page 3 :letter for row 2 and on page 4 :bill for row 2 and so on...unfortunalty I could not do it...

Heade Page will always fire first. Try to put both of them in the Body. Letter in outer repeating frame and Bill in the inner repeating frame and set max records per page to 1. After printing letter insert blank lines so the bill goes to next page.

Is there anyone ever customize an approval function on AR transaction and AR receipt process? Can you share how you can achieve the customization, esp on the receipt process?

I feel there is one workaround for this issue, but evaluate this as per your requirement.
Enable Journal approval for Receivables Journal Source and periodically post the Journal entries of Receivables to General Ledger.
Ask the approver to approve the receipts in General Ledger. (Using drilldown functionality if required).
If there is any mistake the approver can always ask for reversal of Original receipt and direct the user to enter new one.
Only drawback is Sales Invoices should also be approved. These should be approved blindly.

It is very common for external auditors to focus on what has changed from one year or quarter to the next to help determine the nature, extent, and population for testing. To configure and access your audit log, perform the actions listed with each of the following utilities.
Audit Trail is used to track the record changes.
The report RPUAUD00 gives all the changes done to the masterdata by any user anytime.
But, before using this audit trial, please ensure that the system hardware is well equipped as the audit trials activation would later become a performance issue as this would occupy a lot of space in the coming time.

I have above in DSO, On report I need to show the latest record without Valid From and Valid To Fields shown below.

And when user drags Valid From and Valid To field from free charac. it should show history as in DSO. I have leveraged 0VALIDTO customer exit processing variable with variable as "Value Ranges" >= Key Date so when query is executed if date entered is 04/01/2014 it should bring last record with Hours perday=4 and if date is entered as 03/01/2014 should bring two records with hours per day 6 and 4 and so on.
The problem on report is that the record being pulled is always latest but when Valid To and Valid From free characteristics are dragged on the report it still shows the latest record and no history. Is there a way that when key date is entered it should show latest record as per >= of that key date and when Valid from is dragged in to report it should display history prior to that key date?

You are almost in the right direction. A little fine tuning is required in your process
As you are dealing with Time dependent Master data, the ideal thing to use is "Key Date" in the query. But there is a limitation here. Key Date can show only single date's relevant master data. I mean if you enter 03.01.2014, only second record would be shown. Key date cannot work on Multiple dates or ranges to fetch historical data or multiple records accordingly.
To achieve your requirement, you should not use Key date in your query.

The above idea is good. You should make Valid From as Cust exit(i_Step =2) processed and make it as User Entry enabled. So that user exit code can pick up values as per > = Valid From(User Entry Based). But this user exit will be picking historical records if user enters other than latest Valid from date. I mean no drilldown is required. You need to use Valid from in rows also, I believe.
Try this and let me know if you want any more inputs.

Applied Receipts Register Report.
I have a client requirement wherein we need to customize the Applied Receipts register report in AR. Executable we discovered that the report is an RXi report spawned from a plsql program.
Looks like its kicking of an RDF Report.
Does any one know the name of seeded RDF File name for Applied Receipts Register Report.

For receipts go to FBL5N dynamic selections select special GL indicator as "A" and select document type "DZ (if you are using the different doc type for receipt posting, then select those document types" and in the selection screen select all items and select check box special GL transactions and execute it. Then you will get customer receipts.
Same procedure will apply for payments, you just select the t.code.FBL1N & document type(KZ, if other than this select those documents) and execute it.

There is no such report.
Generally, we use to go through MENU to see the changes 'DISPLAY CHANGES'.
For report development you have to use two tables with reference to T.Code creation and change T.Codes.
Tables: CDHDR Change Log Header, CDPOS - Change Log Line Item.
Passing object related to youe Vendor Details, you can create report.

After I run this report i see in the last of this report there is difference between the supplier total
USD (Currency ) and the open Balance USD , it is decreased the open balance

BUT AGIN FROM WHERE THE SYSTEM DECREASED THE AMOUNT TO 36,700

I've got a error msg when try to generate a report using Cisco history report tool:
Error | An Exceptional Error occurred. Application exiting. Check the log file for error 5022
It only happens when choose report template: ICD_Contact_Service_Queue_Activity_by_CSQ_en_us.
User tried samething on other PC, it working fine.
only on user' own PC and only choose this report, error appears.
user runing windows 7 and do not have crystal report installed
tried reinstalled the software, doesn't work.

I have completely uninstalled the HRC, and download from server install again -- still doesn't work with exactly same error.
this matter only happens on this PC, when user try same thing on other PC, it works.
