There should be some calculation involved for this report
1. Take a notepad and draw the structure of the report. with ints TOP, positions in Pixels or, whatever you fixed.
2. Go to Report Properties, Formatting Page Size if it is A4/Portrait, get the Pixel info of its borders. Calculate page height.
3. You can get a help if you switch on the backgroud grid view by "Show User Setting", "Grid", "Snap to Grid" (there is a small button on the toolbar at right/top in webi), Please assure that Table's CELL HEIGHT is with the size you set and "View Page Layout" Margins matched the Grid.
4. If you need to calculate the (CELL height)*n = Page Height left after sections/titles ETC. nedd to calculate and set manually in the Properties tabs.

  • Multiple dates in row in webi crosstab report

    Hi,
I am having a PKG_ST_DTM named object of DateTime datatype in database, which contains Timestamp along with it ( we cant change the Database), as we doesnt require the timestamp in our reports, So in IDT we have changed it to  Date without Timestamp by: "convert(varchar(11),PKG_ST_DTM,105) as PKG_ST_DTM" and when I am creating a cross tab report in Webi (4.0)   the dates are Repeating on the Horizontal axis, Below link shows the image/attachment
    http://aryanneil.imgur.com/all/
I tried with "Avoid Duplicate Row Aggregation" and also in Edit Query " Retrieve Duplicate Rows". But unable to solve
I need only One date for each cell in the horizontal axis. Please do the needful.
    Thanks in Advance

    Neil,
It seems issue with date formatting property @ each level-
    @ DB           -     YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS..     --> 2014-05-06 19:00:03:000
    @ IDT           -     DD-MMM-YYYY HH:MI:SS..   --> 06-May-2014 19:03:000
    @ REPORT     -      DD/MM/YY                                         --> 5/6/140
So you can check these properties at respective levels and do the necessary changes as per requirement

  • Date data from Web Intelligence Report not equal to Date from Source

    Hi,
I am creating a Web intelligence report based on a BEx query. I have a field called 'Date' that I am bringing over from the BEx query. It has a format of MM/DD/YYYY. When I view the 'Date' in Web Intelligence, it is displaying as 1/1/70. For example, in the BEx Query, 'Date' = 11/01/2011. In Crystal Reports, it is showing up as 1/1/70 as the only date. The source field contains more than 1 date.  I'm not sure what's going on. I am using the 14.0.0 (2010) version of the Web Intelligence through the BusinessObject Launch Pad.
    Please help!
    -Janice

    Hi
The patches for SAP BusinessObjects BI4.0 are accumulative.  This means you can download the latest patch (for the Support Package that you have installed) and it will have all the patch fixes
It looks like older patches are being removed from the sites & only the most recent patch or patches are available since they are accumulative
I believe Patch 2.15 should now be available, but anything later than Patch 2.6 should help you in this instance
    I hope this helps

  • Site Web Analytics - no usage data being generated

    Hello all:
I have a SharePoint Foundation 2013 farm with 2 WFE - 1 Search Server and 1 DB server.  Search Service Application has been configured and functioning properly.  Usage and health Data Service Application has been created and started.  Usage
data collection is enabled and the "Analytics Usage" check box is checked.  Usage Data Import and Usage Data Processing timer jobs are scheduled and run successfully.
But, I still get the following error when I go to the Site Web Analytics "A web analytics report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the
usage data for this site has not been processed yet."
After doing some research, some folks have suggested the following which has to do with manually enabling the receivers via powershell - which I have done but still no report and same error.
    http://geekswithblogs.net/bjackett/archive/2013/08/26/powershell-script-to-workaround-no-data-in-sharepoint-2013-usage.aspx
Other Internet searches indicate that Web Analytics Reports is no longer available in SharePoint Foundation 2013:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/chandru/archive/2013/08/31/sharepoint-2013-web-analytics-report-where-is-it.aspx
    http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/63099/where-is-the-web-analytics-service-in-sharepoint-2013
There is also a TechNet question which indicate that "Microsoft Support confirmed me there's a bug in SharePoint Foundation 2013 in the Database that's going to be fixed in the June or August CU"
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/sharepoint/en-US/5372109c-8a6e-4d31-aa34-13b6cbde52cf/sharepoint-foundation-2013-web-analytics?forum=sharepointgeneral
But, there is no resolution if this bug has been addressed or not.
Therefore, I would really like to know what the deal is with this issue.  At the moment, I do not see any usage data being generated on any of the SharePoint Foundation servers in the farm.
    Please advise.
    Thank you,
    Rumi

    Hi Rumi,
Find a same issue internaly which says that the links Site Web Analytics is no longer valid in SharePoint 2013 Foundation due to the changes in analytics service application architecture, so you may need the SharPoint enterprise edition for using
    this feature.
    Symptom
    - Recently, we upgraded to SharePoint Foundation 2013 from WSS 3.0. In SharePoint Foundation 2013 sites, we see the option to click on Site Web Analytics reports but when we click on it, we get an error.
    - Clicking on Site Web Analytics reports from Site Settings \ Site Actions produces the error: “A web analytics report is not available for this site. Usage processing may be disabled on this server or the usage data for this site has not been processed yet.”
    - We have ensured we have logging enabled (multiple categories)
    - Example Site: http://sharepoint2/sites/IT/Projects/SAP/_layouts/15/usageDetails.aspx
    Cause
    By Design
    1) The links in Site Settings from a site collection are no longer valid in SharePoint 2013 (due to change in Analytics Service application architecture changes...part of Search Service now)
    2) SharePoint Foundation 2013 does not support Usage Reporting Analytics
    Resolution
o Purchase a license for SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise, and build out a farm for it (the Foundation SKU cannot be upgraded in-place to Server).
o Once built up, you could copy your databases over and attach them to the Server farm and do your cutover.
o Going forward from there, you would be able to have access to the Usage reports.
Also as you have found that msdn blog with the explenation that it is not available in SPF 2013.

  • No data with Web Analytics Reports - SharePoint 2013

    Hello,
I have data when I click on the Web analytics reports.  I am using SharePoint 2013, but with sites with the SharePoint 2010 visual interface.
What are some of the things to look for to get these working?
I have Reports feature enabled at the site collection level.
I have enabled usage data collection and have scheduled it.
What is the SharePoint job to check to ensure that it is running.
What is the permissions to use for the Logging database and the log folder?
    Thanks.
    Paul

    Take a look at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/chandru/archive/2013/08/31/sharepoint-2013-web-analytics-report-where-is-it.aspx
to see if it explains what you're looking for (essentially, Web Analytics is no longer available).

  • Web Analytics reports and not showing data

Recently we are not seeing Web Analytics data on our sites in our SharePoint 2010 farm. Before we used to see the data. This is what we are seeing now "There is no data available for this report. Here are some possible
    reasons: (1) Web Analytics has not been enabled long enough to generate data;
    (2) There is insufficient data to generate this report; (3) Data logging
required for this report might not be enabled; (4) Data aggregation might not be
enabled at the level required for this report."
I checked the Web Analytics Service Application and it is started. Web Analytics Data Processing service is started on all servers.
Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage Data Import Timer job is running every 30 minutes, while Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage Data Processing job is disabled. Does this job has to be
enabled for the web analytics data to be reported? Are there any other places to check to debug the problem? Appreciate any help.
    rani

    Hi Rani,
The timer job Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage Data Processing needs to be enabled, as it will aggregates and writes the data to the Web Analytics Reporting database.
Please enable this timer job and run the timer job to see how it works.

  • Site web analytics report shows no data

    Hi All,
A user reported that they could not view the site web analytics report
in the SharePoint 2013 production server.  It was working fine a few couple of weeks back though.
I started the troubleshooting for this issue and came cross a few blogs that details the same issue.
    There were my steps:
In Central Admin (CA) >> Service Applications >> Usage and Health data collection was
    started.
    CA >>
Monitoring >> Reporting >> "Enable usage and health data collection"
    was checked.
CA >> Monitoring >> Timer Jobs > Review job definitions
     >> Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage Data Import
(5 minutes) and Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Usage Data Processing
was enabled. I clicked on "Run Now" on these job schedules.
CA >> Search Service Application >>
    Under  Mange Content Sources page
    the status was Idle.
We have performed the full crawl a few days back.
    PowerShell: Read the  Brian
    T. Jackett's blog. Basically, he uses PowerShell to trigger the  Receivers
    for the AnalyticsUsage and PageRequest
and enable these Receivers for Analytics and Page Requests. In the
production environment these receivers were already defined and I just executed them again. Ran the
OWSTimer service for all SharePoint servers. However, after 2 days no data was shown.
The only thing we have not checked is WSS_Logging database.
We are stuck in this issue and its OOTB feature.
Any pointers for this issue will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Aroh,
    Please refer to the article:
    http://blog.fpweb.net/troubleshooting-sharepoint-2013-web-analytics/#.VNcSsf4fqM8
There are still some place you could check for general troubleshooting steps, such as:
1.Did you configure AAM recently that might affect this?
2.Does related timer jobs run successfully?

  • SharePoint 2010 Web Analytics Reports Not Displaying Data

    Hi,
I'm currently having some issue with the Web Analytics Reports. It had been working fine for the past 1 year and suddenly a few months back, the Web Analytics is not showing any data. Have already troubleshoot the issue using the
Troubleshooting SharePoint 2010 Web Analytics Article and all values show the correct date and time.
Therefore, I have performed a more in-depth analysis and found out that the WAHierarchyData table in the Reporting Database only have Root ID
I have verified with a working SharePoint environment and the table should contain all the SharePoint site ID. Also, I have looked into all the SharePoint and Windows logs and all found to be showing the services to be running normally. I would like to check
if there is a way to restore the data in this table or is there any other ways I can trace and troubleshoot this issue.
    Background information
    SharePoint Version: Service Pack 2
    SQL Server: Cluster Environment
    3vild3vil

    Hi,
I queried the WAHierarchyData table in my environment, and there should be id column in returning result.
You could manually run timer job related to Web Analytics service application and check ULS log for error message.
To narrow down the root cause, we need query SharePoint database tables and compare query result, which might exceed the supported scenario. I'd recommend you open a ticket with MS support, they could reach your envrionment and troubleshoot the issue for
    you. For your convenience:

  • Site Web Analytics reports -- no more data

    Hi,
I just checked the Site Web Analystics reports and there is no more data since mid Dec. Any thoughts? Is there anything I have to reconfigure?
    Thanks in advance.

I had similar issue: No data in web analytic report. And I found a lot of error message in Windows Log and SQL Server log:
An exception occurred while enqueueing a message in the target queue. Error: 15404, State: 19. Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user 'DomainName\UserName'
I installed my SharePoint 2010 farm using DomainName\UserName as farm account, web application pool account and services account.
And the SharePoint 2010 farm is now disconnected with the domain.
    I found this:
    http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/311104/msft-edw-when-logged-in-with-cached-credentials-service-broker-drops-incoming-messages-with-an-exception-occurred-while-enqueueing-a-message-in-the-target-queue-error-15404-state-19
, that says the service broker has some known issue with cached credential, so i changed all these account to a local machine account with PowerShell (http://cid-6f40fb61d28cf147.office.live.com/view.aspx/Technology/Using%20Local%20Computer%20Account%20in%20SharePoint%202010.docx
), but still does not work. The 15404 error is still generated with the ‘DomainName\UserName’ account.
Finally, I got this article with similar error message:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/steverac/archive/2009/08/30/opsmgr-agent-discovery-hanging-after-enabling-broker-service.aspx
. I changed the db owner of the Web Analytics Staging database from ‘DomainName\UserName’ to local machine account with sp_changedbowner. Now, the 15404 error is no longer generated. And after some time (for the scheduled timer
jobs to started and run), I can see data in Web Analytics report. (Actually, I changed the db owner of both Web Analytics Staging db and Reporting db. I don’t know whether both needed).
    And according to
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc512725.aspx
, the SharePoint Web Analytics feature relies on SQL Server service broker to function. The SQL Server service broker cannot be started manually. A SharePoint timer job runs one time per day to ensure that SQL Server service broker is enabled on the necessary
databases. 7.After moving databases, you should manually run the health rule "Web Analytics: Verifies that the SQL Server Service Broker is enabled for the Web Analytics staging databases."

  • No data in web analytics report after moving to new server

    Hi,
I have a Sharepoint 2010 portal, we need to move that portal to a new server.
For this, I took the backup of the Web Analytics Reporting db and Staging db and restored them in the SQL of new server. Then, I created new Web Analytics Service Application on the new server with reference to the restored databases.
Now, when I go to check Web Analytics report, there is no data in it.
Is this because the url of my portal is now changed? Will I be able to get all my data when I change the AAM of new server to the old portal's url?
    Kindly help

    Hi,
I wonder if Data exists starting from the date of finishing moving. If not, then please make sure Web Analytic is working in your environment.
You could also check ULS log for relevant error information.

  • No data in Web i Report but i could see data at back end sql

    Hello,
I have line charts in Webi Report. The report generated sql has data when i run at back end but if i run the webi report i couldn't data and see as Query 1 does not have have the data. May i know the reason for this pls ?
    Best Regards,
    Sai

    Hi Sai,
If you are getting data at back end not in reports then then possibly there can be several reasons
    1. Check for query properties:
at Query level click refresh and check whether you are able to see some results:
If not then there might be a filter at universe level or if yes then check if there are any filter at report level.
Let me know if you have any further concerns!
    Hope it helps!
