DateTime issue in WEBI Query

Dear All.
i have created a simple universe and in which there is one column of type DATETIME i created one Dimension object of Type DATE for that column.
I want to get all the data from the table by giving datetime criteria i.e. for one day its start form 10:00 PM to morning 10:00 AM.
for example if i want to get the data of 1st June i have to give the criteria in the filter.
01/06/2011 10:00:00 PM to 02/06/2011 10:00:00 AM   OR
01/06/2011 22:00:00 to  02/06/2011  10:00:00
I try to pass these both format in the filter but it get no data and when i pass only the dates i get the data.
Can any body please let me know that how to pass the datetime so i can get the data base on datetime.

i have set the Object Format and under Object Properties Database format as 'mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss'  in the Universe Designer.
and i am passing the following values in the prompt under WEBI.
FROM           5/30/2011 10:00:00 PM
TO                5/31/2011 10:00:00 AM
but it returns me values starting from 5/30/2011 10:00 AM when i check in WEBI the SQL its only send 10:00:00 without AM and PM.
Kindly please let me know how it will work.
Kind regards,

  • Issue with webi query export.

    Hello Guys
I  have a webi query and the report looks as below.
Whenever we export it to .CSV, the generated csv file contains an extra column. The column is headerless and contains value ‘3’. The issue is there only when we export it to csv. For excel export its working fine.
Please share your views regarding why this extra column is coming.
    Here is the query Structure.

do you have any report level filters?

  • Issues with Bex query structures and Crystal Reports/Webi

    Hi experts,
I'm having an issue with Bex Query structures and nulls. I've built a Crystal Report against a Bex query that uses a Bex Query structure. The structure looks like the following
    Budget $
    Budget %
    Actual $
    Actual %
    Budget YTD
    etc
if I drag the structure into the Crystal Report detail section with a key figure it displays like this
    Budget $     <null>
    Budget %     <null>
    Actual $     300
    Actual %     85
    Budget YTD     250
the null values are displayed (and this is what is required). However if I filter using a Record selection or group on a profit centre then the nulls along with the associated structure component are not displayed.
    Actual $     300
    Actual %     85
    Budget YTD     250
Webi is also behaving similarly. Can anyone explain why the above is happening and suggest a solution either on the Bex side of things or on the Crystal Reports side of things? I'm confused as to why nulls are displayed in the first example and not the second.

    Hi,
Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence will only show data which is in the cube. You could have an actual 0 or Null entry whithout grouping but by changing the selection / grouping in the report the data does not include such entry anymore.

  • Web Query issues

    Hi All,
I have created a web query and assigned it to a role. I have moved the role, web templete and the query from dev to QA was able run the query fine without issues.
The problem I am having is when I make changes to the query and transport it to QA...when I run the query from the role menu it still shows the old query instead of the changed query.
Can someone please explain what are the steps I need to take when I make changes to exsisting web query in dev and move to QA and be able to see the changes. What are all the objects I need to collect. Also would like to know if there are any settings on the role menu or web templete that need to be changed and also any buffers that I need to cleared??
Any help is appriciated and will give max points.
    Thanks

  • How best to address WEBI query buffer issue

    Hello folks,
I understand that upon executing the WEBI query from the hyperlink, the data is displayed from the buffer with variable values derived from the last saved version of this query.  Can this be overridden so the data is fetched from the database first time around instead? I should mention that:
    1. the users would not like to see the selection screen upon this initial execution and so the refresh upon execution was ruled out as it would present the users with this selection screen. The users would still like to change this value and they can change this via Refresh button upon which the selection screen will show up, so no issues here.
    2. the variable is being defined at the query level and not coming via the BEx query, in which case the customer exit may have been used.
Any suggestions/thoughts are welcome. Thanks for looking.
    Cheers.

  • Issue on the web query, pls kindly help.

    Hi colleagues,
First, I execute a web query and all data shows perfectly. Then, i do some changes to the report, like deleting some column, and i use the "save view" button. However, the data of the new devised report does not shown and I am given a error message that "Could not find any data to display. This might be due to the current selection of variable or filter values".
When I look into it, the error really lies in the filter values, which has been automatically set when i save the view. For these set filter values, the report finds no data to display. Have some of you come across such kind of errors? great thanks.

  • Web Query (.iqy) not working in Excel after upgrade to 11.1.1.6

After upgrade 11.1.1.5 to 11.1.1.6, the Web Query (.iqy) does not work. After open the .iqy file in Excel, entered the user and password, it only pulls in "PK" in one cell, instead of the expected analysis report. This was working in 11.1.1.5 before upgrade.
Does anyone know how to correct this issue? Is this a bug in 11.1.1.6, or required some new configuration settings?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Hierarchy issue with Web Intelligence Report

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue with OLAP Universe where we are using hierarchy for cost center in reports.
BEx query shows correct data in RSRT with hierarchy nodes.
We have built a Universe on top of this BEx Query.
We are using couple of nodes of cost enter hierarchy in WebI report but if we keep more than one node in WebI query, data comes double (probably because of duplicate rows). Instead if I keep just one of the node in WebI query, WebI report returns correct data.
Please suggest, why such behavior with OLAP universe and how to resolve this?
    Best Regards,
    Ashish

    Thanks for your suggestions.
I am little confused on how to check SQL generated for OLAP WebI Query.
But other reports on same universe behave same way and I'll give a try to another universe but I don't expect it to behave in different way. I saw a setting for relational Universes like restriction on duplicate rows but the same is not present in case of OLAP Universe.
Do you know how WebI behaves with BEx hierarchies?
There has to be some setting to make it work...
    Best Regards,

    Hi Experts,
We are also having the same issue. We are in BI 7 SP 15.

  • Problem with Broadcasting Web query

I am able to broadcast the web query and I recieve the email in MS Outlook, but the report is unreadable. It has the proper header info (from, to, subject, ...), but the report itself shows up as garbled text ("Q29udGVudC1UeXBlOiBtdWx0aXBhcnQvcmVsYXRlZDsNCiBib3VuZG").
I tried the different output formats in Broadcaster, but no luck. Anyone else experience this?
    Thanks in advance.

Check the o/p of the sent mail from tcode SOST. if the o/ format looks fine in SOST, the problem could be on the Mail server (Exchange or Lotus notes).
What version of MS Outlook/ MSExchange server are you using? I have seen issues with MS Exchange 2002>.

    Hi,
Did this issue only occur with the Ryanair website or other websites( Such as Microsoft websites)?
If this issue only occur with Ryanair website, this issue might be caused by the website script error, please see the below image ( I could reproduce your issue with this URL):
We might be able to query the data with this site.
If your web query can't access the other site, please try the below workaround.

    Sheets.Add

  • Issue in web template (version 3.x )

    Hi Experts,
we have web templates in 3.x versions. Today, some changes were done in the Bex queries underlined.
Normally, the changes in the Bex query will be reflected correctly in the web templates without any problem (no need to adjust the web templates). However, we are having issues - the web template doesn't display the changes made in the query.
If you have any ideas how to fix this issue, please help me.
    I found two programs:
    RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN
    RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70
Does any expert know, if I could use one of the to generate the template in production without damaging anything?
    Thanks!
    Sally

    Sally,
The programs mentioned by you are for executing a template  / viweing the HTML code within the template.
Go to RSRT and select HTML from the dropdown and then give the following line in the text box below :
    &template_id=<your template Technical name>

  • Performance issue at Webi/Universe

    Hi BO Experts,
I am new to Business objects.
I have developed a new universe and webi reports, but I am facing some performance issues at webi side. Below I am furnishing my development details; please let me know how I can overcome with the performance issues.
    1. Created a Query on Multiprovider (query is having nearly 125 objects (Info objects (restricted with hierarchies), navigational attributes & restricted key figures).
    2. Developed a new universe on the query.
    3. As part of performance- restricted the some fields at query filters and also applied conditions at universe level.
    4. Created a webi report and it is generating the results for 8 fields (4 characteristics (hierarchy levels) + 4 restricted key figures) and also I used 5 conditions at webi report filters.
Finally, my Webi results are matching with BW query results, but Webi report is taking more time ( approximately 15 min. ) when I compare with BW query results( approximately 1min. ) and MDX query(approximately 2 min.) results. Requesting t you to please let me know, if I need to do any changes at universe or webi or bw query level  to overcome with this performance issue.
    Awaiting for your response.
    Regards,
    PRK

    Hi,
Here are few steps to improve the performance:
Try to build the aggrregrates at Cube leve for those Characterstics which u are using frequenlty in WEBI Reports.
As you are using Hierarchy, the report performance will be always not good.
I suggest this can be best handled in BI Modelling Level only instead of handling the same at WEBI Report Level as at WEBI Reports we dont have much options to improve the performance
Also, I suggest you to look into the Query performance at BEX Level and then use the Query for further connections
