Db-link problem from v8 to v7

Question

Hello,
We have 3 Oracle databases called A, B and C.
A and B are Oracle 8.1.6 databases and C is Oracle 7.3
We have a database link from A to C (create database link dbl_c
connect to user_ora identified by <pwd> using 'C').
On A, we have synonyms to use objects from C. (create synonym
table_c for user_ora.table_c@C, objetcs are tables and packages)
Every day, A was copied on B (a physical copy, all files except
control files).
So we have a database link from B to C, but when we try to use
synonyms, we have the following error (ORA-04054: database link
DBL_C does not exist).
If someone have an idea ?

Sudheer,
the error message is self explaining - your user 'user' connecting from the host @'xxxx.xxxx.xxxx' is not allowed to log into the MySQL database. To solve this issue you need to grant permissions to the user so that he can connect from any host (%) or just from that particular host where you installed the gateway.
The command to allow access from everywhere would be:
grant all on *.* TO '<user>'@'%' IDENTIFIED BY '<password>';
or just specify the IP address instead of '%' if you want to restrict it.
