Deactivate document splitting for company code in IDES
Hi,
am not able to deactivate document splitting. When I try to deactivate and then save an error pop up show the message 'Define the commitment item as a document splitting characteristics ' .
The path for Deactivating the Doc splitting is
SPRO---Financial Accounting(New) --- GL Accounting(New) -Business transactions-- Document splitting -
Activate document splitting------ Double click on Deactivation per company code.
When i try in this path it will not allow me to save and it will not allow me to post any g/l entry also.
Please Advise.
I think the error is coming due to the other company codes for which document splitting is active. Because, when you save (after deactivating doc split for your company code), I guess the system is checking the properties for other company codes in the same screen for which doc split is not deactivated.
What document splitting characteristics do you have in your system? And what are the settings there? Check in SPRO -> Financial Accounting (New) -> GL Accounting (New) -> Business Transactions -> Document Splitting -> Define Document Splitting Characteristics for GL Accounting. My guess is there is nothing in there. Create (may be, PRCTR) as your document splitting characteristic, save, and then try deactivating doc split for your company code in the IMG node that you mentioned. Not sure if this is the reason, but no harm in trying!

Document Splitting Cross Company Code

In our company we are using business area for internal reporting. For cross company code transaction we have assigned vendor and customer in the configuration. In the document splitting settings for cross company code transaction we did a setting that every company code should have document splitting separately (Split each document in each company code separately.
In this case there should be only one entry in the splitting rule for the item category to be edited - 01100 CC <> CC of leading item.)
We normally received vendor invoice where expense belong to several company code but invoice belong to one company code.
Example Invoice amount 1200
vendor liability in company code SA02
Expense 200 for company code SA02 and 1000 in company code SA03
When we simulate the document in general ledger view, system create 4 line item in company code SA02 one Expense Dr, Vendor Credit and two line item with zero balance. In two line items system showing no business area. We want system to post only two line item and none of the entries should be without business area

1. Define different Billing Document number ranges in SPRO -> Sales & Dist -> Billing -> Define number ranges for billing docs. (VN01). Make sure that all are internal number ranges.
e.g.
NO. From number To Number Current number Ext

A3 0950000000 0950999999
2. Define a Ztable ZNUMB_RANGE as follows
Comp. Code | Tax departure country | Billing Doc Type | Number Range
100 IN F2 A1
200 IN F2 A2
200 US F2 A3
3. In user exit RV60AFZZ (USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE)
Read table ZNUMB_RANGE for Number Range with Comp. Code, Tax country and Billing Doc.
If found pass this number range value to us_range_intern.
us_range_intern is a standard SAP variable which tells program which number range use to create the current document which is under process.

However, I see material is correct.
Can you tell me which views of material master am I missing?

KNB1 contains the following key fields:
KUNNR - Customer code
BUKRS - Company Code
So, you will be able to get the information from a Customer in a specific Company Code.

Balance sheet for company codes
Hi ,
Is it possible to get conslidated balance sheet for multiple company codes in ECC6.0 in NEW GL.we are already activated new gl and getting B/S on profit center level under single company code.
But now we need to split our locations or profit centers as seperate company codes without creating them as legal entities,so we will do intercompany sale transactions where customer orders a product from company A, which doesnt have that product with them, so it will be shipped from Plant of company code B. then customer pays to company A directly and another intercompany billing will be generated by company code B ,and company code A pay company code B internally.
My questions is how can we get a consolidated B/S for company code A, company code B or comapny code C?

Using transaction code "F.01" you can draw consolidated balance sheet by selecting company codes to be included in the selection fields.
Using the same transaction, you can draw individual property balance sheet also. In this transaction, there is a provision for selecting specific profit center option.

I don't know if this is possible in Query Designer level..
Here is my suggestion:
1. Create a new infoobject that will be used for the combined Doc No and Comp Code
2. In transformation level, create a field routine that will CONCATENATE the Doc No and Comp Code in the infoobject you have created in STEP 1
3. In Query Designer, make a FORMULA VARIABLE and choose REPLACEMENT PATH (select the infoobject you have created in STEP 1)
4. In replacement path tab, choose INFOOBJECT, then ATTRIBUTE, and select CONSTANT 1 (forgot the exact name but there is constant 1 something in the selection)
5. Create a global CKF with this formula (FORMULA VARIABLE * 1), this is necessary because sometimes the FV doesn't work without doing this
6. Use the global CKF in your keyfigure structure, it will show the number of UNIQUE combination of Doc No and Comp Code

Deactivate Document Splitting permanently
Hi there,
Just wonder if there is any implication to deactivate document splitting permanently? As this is no longer required.
Please advise.

You cannot activate the document splitting subsequently, or deactivate it temporarily.
There is nothing that says you can't deactivate it permanently - as you want to. However, the note also says
You cannot pay or clear documents posted before Customizing was changed.
To do so, you'll have to resort to a very painful process of locking out all users, switch splitting back on, clear / pay the problem document(s), deactivate splitting, unlock all users. Locking is recommended to preempt any further posting of documents while splitting is active.
In short, you can deactivate it permanently, but be absolutely sure that there are no open documents out there, or you'll have trouble later on. Basically, you have to look out for any documents that require subsequent procssing, like clearing, reversal, invoice reference. Can't think of anything else that might cause you heartburn.
If anyone on this forum has better suggestions, most welcome.

Document Split for Currency Exchange while posting Incoming payment
Hi Experts,
Scenario:
> Post incoming Customer payments using F-28
> posting entered today (14 Jan 2009), but posting date is 30 Dec 2008)
> Tested in Clients 001 and 005 (same setup in terms of GLs, Customers, Vendors, etc)
I was able to post the incoming payment in Client 005. However, in Client 001, I got error message:
*Ex.rate diff.accts are incomplete for account 0000140000 (Trade Debtors/Customers) currency SGD
Message no. F5063
Diagnosis
The accounts for posting exchange rate differences could not be determined. For the specified G/L account and the specified currency key, the accounts are only specified incompletely. Either the accounts for the implemented exchange rate difference, the accounts for the valuation differences or the balance sheet adjustment account are missing.
System Response
The system cannot generate the exchange rate difference posting.
Procedure
By pressing ENTER, you achieve that the document is reset to a status without automatic posting. In another window, you can complete default settings for exchange rate differences and post the document afterwards.
Proceed*
When I clicked Proceed, the system took me to OBA1, with "Document Split for Currency Exchange" option highlighted in blue.
Does this mean that I need to create a new GL account to post Document Split for Currency Exchange?
Note: Setup for OBA1 both 001 and 005 are the same. But I only encountered the error in 001.

Authorization object for company code and profit center together
Hi all,
Please help me with the following requirement..
Company Code = ABCD
Profit Center = *
The user is authorized to run the report for company code ABCD only but any profit center within this company code.
2 Company Code = *
Profit Center = WXYZ
The user is authorized to run the report for Profit Center WXYZ only but any company code.
3 Company Code = *
Profit Center = *
The user is authorized to run the report for any company code and profit center.
The same user could have 1 and 2. So, in this case he should be able to run a report for the total inventory of company code ABCD, and a report for total inventory of profit center WXYZ only regardless company code.
He should not have visibility to other company codes inventory other then profit center WXYZ.

Vendor 27672 has not been created for company code 6200
Hai,
I am trying to post a invoice against a Scheduling agreement.
The scheduling agreement has vendor as 27672 and comapny code as 6200 in the header data when i look into ME33L.
When i trying to post an invoice fo the schedulig agreement using BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE , it is thowing the error "Vendor 27672 has not been created for company code 6200". which i am not able to resolve, as the scheduling agreement is raised against that vendor.
when i tried to post the invoice manually using MIRO, there was a POP-UP saying there " PO vendor is not an invoiceing party. enter the invoicing party." where i was giving 27673 which is the alternate payee for this vendor. It is accepting and i could post the invoice succesfully.
However, the same is not available in the BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE that i am using.
Is there any way that i can enter the Invoicing party as i did it when i was posting it manually or is there any other way that i can resolve the issue.

Go to XD01 and enter the same customer code that you have now and enter the required company code and sales org, dist. chnl and division and enter the required details and save.

Error in F-02 : "No chart of accounts could be determined for Company Code

Fiscal year change not yet made for company code
1. We have opened new company and enter data from FY 2009. All posting has happened properly, but when we are trying to see report S_ALR_87011963 we are facing following problem.
We have already check everything on SDN and followed, but our problem still exists.
Table T093C is showing as FY 2009 year and also same in OB52, OAAQ is showing 2008 as closed year. We have run AJRW for 2009 and it runs successfully.

Please check the fiscal year entered. If you are certain you want to post to fiscal year 012, you must start the depreciation posting run in the last posting period (or in the special period). I have a requirement to store following details at the company code and plant level in SAP ECC for India implementation. Can someone please guide me where can I store these information in SAP ECC 6.
VAT - Plant Level
CST - Plant Level
TIN - Company Code Level
PAN - Company Code Level
Service Tax - Plant Level
Also, can i store VAT, CST and Service Tax at storage location level?
