    It's a phishing attempt to get your account id and password, the 'validate' link on that page isn't an Apple website (there are similar phishing attempts regularly posted on here) - you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

    I tried ordering a Macbook Air yesterday several times, but it keeps saying "your order has been canceled because we were unable to verify your information." I used some egiftcards for some of the balance and credit card for the rest. I tried several different credit cards but this keeps happening, and it doesn't work to go into the store because they said they couldn't take my egiftcards there. I called customer service and they had no idea. They said the relevant team will do "an investigation" and call me back when it's complete, but who knows how long that will take. I'm getting ready to go to China to give my cousin the laptop and I got the gift cards just for this purchase. So if I don't get this sorted out soon, I'm stuck with over $900 in gift cards I'll never use. Can someone please help?!

  • My apple id has been disabled because of 'fraud itunes gift certs'

    I purchased the gift codes online at a cheap price without knowing that there is existence of such fraud. so after a week or so, ive found my id to be disabled.
    at first i thought maybe it was due to security problem or something. so i searched for the solution online and i found out the problem was due to gift certs redeemed to my id to be fraud. it seems that there are people who faced the same problem, but after contacting the itunes representative their account had been reenabled (although the remaining balance were deducted, but nvm)
    contacted the representative thru expresslane, but to my surprise she did not want to reenable my account. she kept telling me to create a new id.
    i purchased apps worth more than $200 (mostly medical apps, dictionary, productivity apps) and im not willing to abandon the account, and i told her about others who faced the same problem but had their accounts reenabled back.
    i also tried to ask her which of the gift certs codes were problematic so that i can get refund from the seller but she was not willing to give out further details about the codes.
    my last reply to her was almost 3 days ago, but im yet to receive any reply from her. i tried to get new ticket support thru expresslane and no reply as well (although i do receive the ticket number from the automated reply)
    please help.

    Sorry, but there is nothing anyone here can do for you, we just being fellow users. If the iTunes Store will not reactivate your account, then you're probably stuck.  Why some accounts have been re-enabled while yours has not I can't say not knowing all the factors involved. If the iTunes Store will no longer respond to you, though, then I'm afraid you have your answer.
    You can try calling the Apple tech support line, asking to speak with someone in Customer Relations, and explaining the situation to that person and asking if they can help. But if they can't, then you're at a dead end. This is the danger you assumed when you purchased gift codes from some unauthorized source.

    How can I reset my security questions I forgot the answers and can't use my iTunes voucher

    You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
    You might then need to log out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
    For your ecurity questions, if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then the steps half-way down this page will give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
    Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (you can also try this link if you can't get the account enabled via the above)
    When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use

    I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.
    Error message: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missing or damaged". Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message:  "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". When following the link, Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued 'because their products are now so stable. -I can see how stable they are.. How do I get assistance with Installer issues?
    Any helpful thoughts?

    It says your Apple ID has been disabled because your Apple ID has been disabled. This is usually because Apple's iTunes store thinks that your account has been compromised. You need to contactiTunes store support.

    If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
