Delete an SCSM Connector

I created a connector to SCOM in SCSM, it was manually removed from SCOM.  Now I cannot delete the SCSM connectors that were connected with SCOM.

Deleting the connector in SCOM can be done (unsupported):
http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2009/09/10/removing-an-old-product-connector.aspx
Due to the similarities between the products, the SQL queries that Kevin shows for removing the connector from OpsMgr also work on SCSM .. but it would be a big risk to try it out in a Production environment. The prudent action might be just to rename the
connector in SCSM to "Decommsissioned OpsMgr connector" or similar.

  • Is there a way of monitoring SCSM connector failures using SCOM

I have an environment comprising SCSM2012 SP1, SCOM2012 SP1 and SCCM2012SP1 with Orchestrator forwarding the CI data and alerts to a 3rd party CMDB/ServiceDesk system. We have SCSM connectors for AD, SCCM and SCOM CI. There was a recent issue with SCSM UR6
where the SCCM connector stopped working. I regressed the Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.ServiceManager.Linking.Consumer.OperationalStore.dll back to the RTM release version and it all works again.
I want to know if there is a way of monitoring each of the connectors in SCOM to ensure I get alerted if the status of the 3 connectors is anything other than "Finished Success" - maybe only generating an alert if the status stays in a failed status
    for more than 24 hours.
There appears to be very little documentation on how these connectors work or what errors they write into logs. Any tricks or tips would be appreciated.

On you management server, if you open Event Viewer, the logs are keep under Application and Services Logs Operations Manager. (Yes, the Service Manager logs are keep in the Operations Manager logs folder) In this folder you should find the event logs for
your connectors. Just search for different sources to find the connector you want to monitor. Some of the sources include Exchange Connector, OpsMgr Connector, Data Connectors (AD connector), System Center Orchestrator, and Lfx Service (SCCM
Connector). You could easily setup SCOM or Orchestrator to monitor these logs.

  • SCOM Connected Management Group to SCSM Connector not working

    Hi
We have successfully connected 3 management groups using Connected Management Group . I can see the alerts from all the 3 MG in one console. I also configured SCSM connector and connected to the local Management where the other 2 are connected . I can successfully
forward the alerts from that MG which is registered in SCSM , but when I try to forward the alerts from the other 2 mg I get the below message on the respective Management servers . Is connected management group supported in SCSM . Or am I missing any step

  • Attributes not deleted int the Connector View

when an attribute is deleted in the data source, the corresponding attibute is not deleted in the connector view.
    For example :
when a mailforwardingaddress attribute is deleted in the datasource entry, it remains visible in the connector view.
    Config :
The UTC uses an attribute flow including mailforwardingaddress,
updates are made only from datasource to CV.
    no default values, no filter.
    Thanks for any help.
    Best regards,
    Vincent MAZARD
    [email protected]

MEtadir is not attributes owned but entries owned: to do so, you must create a new AF where the criteria is %operation% = DeleteFromCVtoMV and in flow, you choose attributes you want to see deleted
    hope it helps

  • How to delete System / System Connector  in VIRSA CC ??

We have implemented VIRSA with 1 System Landscape. i.e for VIRSA we have only one system.
    Our VIRSA version is 5.1.
Currently our VIRSA is configured  with 2 DEV + 2 QTY + 2 PRD ABAP systems.
i.e VIRSA is having now 6 ABAP Systems for analysis.
As we aware in 5.1 Batch Risk Analysis can not be run for 1 system.
we have to run Batch Risks Analysis for all systems - it is taking everytime 72 Hours to compete the same.
During 72 Hours any system has any problem / connection / restart / any thing happens. The batch risk analysis goes into "ERROR".
In this corner - we want to remove DEV & QA Systems from VIRSA.
    How we can do that??
When we are trying to delte the Connectors of respective Systems.
we are getting the following message
" com.virsa.cc.rulearchitect.dao.DAOException: Cannot delete connector as there are entries related to this connector in the system. "
How can we delete the Connectors in a standard way. if it can not be delted in stnadard way , what is the work around ??

    Hi.. Experts
If we would like to delete the connectors,
we can do it manually from database.
You can use attached deletion script which needs to be run at database level.
and restart the instance which very much mandatory
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Note : SAP never recommends to use deletion script on Production Server.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    IMPORTANT Note 1 -
    +++++++++++++++++++
This script will delete EVERYTHING related to a connector
including rules, mitigations, management reports, etc.
Therefore, Customer are doing this on their own accord.
In order to delete the (CC) data, you would have to run a
deletion script against the database tables.
However, this is not the recommended best practice especially
    in a production environment.
In doing so this may cause data inconsistencies and may render your
application unstable. Therefore, please be advised that by using the
script you are doing this at your own accord and SAP Support will not
be responsible for any loss of data consequent to the application of the
script and SAP cannot support an unstable application.
The script will be provided only upon request. Again, please be aware that
execution of this script is recommended only in a non productive environment.
It is also recommended that you take a backup of the database prior to
    executing the script.
    IMPORTANT Note 2 -
    +++++++++++++++++++
Please involve your DBA to run the attached scripts on the Java Database
where you have the CC 5.x Installed. Since you want to delete the data
    for a particular connector,
kindly replace the '&1' in the script
for VSYSKEY with the SID of the Connector.
    Note:
    +++++++++++++++++++
The Management reports will also be removed after you run the script
andyou will have to re-run the Management Update Jobs for the exisiting
connectors, to make sure that you have the accurate results in the
    graphs.
PLEASE USE THIS SCRIPT ONLY ON YOUR OWN RISK. STILL WE HAVE A COMPLETE BACKUP
WE HAVE NO RISK; TAKE BACKUP & TAKE A CHANCE RUNNING THIS SCRIPT.

  • Problem deleting search object connector template in template modeler

    Hi Experts
By mistake I have created same search object connector in two different software components. Now in adminstration cockpit, template modeler when I try to create a connector, error message is displayed about the conflict in of same object names. Now I want to delete the business template under ESH_COMMON_OBJECTS, which I am not able to do. Please help me out
    Thanks in advance!!
    Goutham

I resolved it. if delete is disabled,we can delete or rename the template after selecting the option 'resolve conflicts' in 'actions' dropdown. But even this didn't work with ESH_COMMON_OBJECTS templates, so I have created new template with different name.

  • Deletion of obsolute connector in RAR

    Hi,
We have removed one system from our landscape. This system was connected with RAR.
We are on AC 5.3 SP 9. Since we are not yet on SP 10 or above, we do not have option to delete one system in RAR under Configuration --> Utility --> Manage Deletion --> Delete system.
Is there any other way available in SP9 to delete a connector. Because if I tried to delte the connector, getting message "Cannot delete connector as there are entries related to this connector in the system".
We do have rules generated for this system which need to delete.
    Please suggest.

    Hi Deepak,
SP 9 does not have the facility of deleting the connector of redundant systems
SP 10 is providing this facility of deleting the connector. You can refer to SAP Note 1416728- Manage Deletion Functionality in RAR
    5.3 Support Pack 10
The SAP note details how this feature is used to delete obsolete systems, and their related data, from the RAR capability.
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Srihari.K

Call Forwarding is a carrier controlled feature. Most likely, the number you see could be for the Voice Mail server.
It's advised you call your mobile service provider to further assist with this feature.

  • SCSM Connector not importing new data from collection

    Hello -
I just installed SCSM with SP1.  I set up a test collection in SCCM with 20 machines.  I created an SCCM connector and ran the import.
all machines in the collection with a client showed up and with all data.  I then installed the SCCM client on one of the machines that didn't have it.  That machine has not been updated with any data in SCSM even though resource explorer in SCCM
shows all the hardware and software inventory.
Further, I added more machines to the collection and did a manual 'resynch' and those machines did not show up in SCSM - also waited several hours and did a scheduled import and the newly added machines are not showing up in SCSM.
    has anyone experienced this?
    Thanks

    Hello Andreas -
I see that the import started successfully with event ID 3333, Source Lfx Service
I then see event 3339, more 3333, and then an event 34012 that says: 'imported 64 changes for data of type Microsoft.SystemCenter.ConfigurationManager.CollectionInfo from cache table Collections.
Those events are repeated throughout the collecton process which takes approximately 20 minutes I also see event IDs 34011 several times throughout those 20 minutes.  The last event related to the synchronization is a 3339 which indicates 'Finished'.
I see no errors, it looks like data was imported according to the events, but the data does not show up in the 'all computers' list.
I'm concerned because the data I want imported is going to change frequently and I want the data for SCSM to match what is in SCCM.
I have anothe question also - If a computer is removed from SCCM will it be removed from SCSM?
    Thanks,

  • User not deleting using iPlanet Connector

    Hello,
I am using iPlanet connector & created a task where users with Employee-Type as Part-Time are provisoned
to iPlanet Resource & user is created in target system, but when i remove that user from Part-Time & set some
other Employee-Type then iPlanet resource is revoked but user is not deleted from target system & it gives
response as user does not exist, but users exist in target system.Could anyone suggest what is missing ?
    Thank-You
    Rahul Shah

    Thanks Kevin
After your reply i checked my Task status & there was 1 task created by me was having status
as Pending,so i tried to delete that task, but was not able to delete that task as OIM does not allow to
delete any task once a task runs , so i renamed it & made conditional & then checked & was working i.e
users were getting deleted from target system.

  • SCSM to SCOM Alert Connector Error

    Hello,
Long story short, the SCSM admin created an Alert Connector between SCSM and SCOM, then uninstalled SCSM and started over.  That means I had an orphaned SCSM connector in SCOM.
In order to set up a new connection, I followed the instructions found in Kevin Holman's blog post:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2012/09/28/opsmgr-2012-how-to-delete-an-old-product-connector.aspx
Now, when I try to re-create a new Alert Connector, I get this error:
"Found at least one other alert connector in Operations Manager.  Alerts may not be routed as expected if multiple connectors subscribe to the same alert."
I checked the SCOM server to make sure there were no orphaned connectors by running this SQL code against the OperationsManager database:
Aside from the copious number of SCVMM connectors, there were six connectors.  Of those six, the previous SCSM connector is marked as "IsDeleted":
Next, I checked the "Microsoft.SystemCenter.Notifications.Internal" management pack to verify that there are no orphaned subscriptions.  The ONLY alert referenced is for the "Advisor Data Connector".
At this point, my questions are as follows:
    1) Will the System Center Advisor (now renamed Azure Operational Insights) connector cause the warning message I listed above when setting up an Alert Connector in SCSM?
    2) Is there another orphaned entry in SCOM that I need to check for and remove before setting up the SCSM alert connector?

    Hi,
I would like to suggest you remove the subscription that was orphaned. When remove a connector we should remove the subscriptions first.
And here is a similar thread

  • Getting Error while deleting connector in CC.

    Hi All,
I am trying to delete a connector in Compliance Calibrator 5.2.
I am getting a error message "Error:Exception!!. No relavent language message available in database for :0140".
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Pravin

    Hello Pravin,
To delete any connector in CC 5.x, you need to delete all data related to that.
For that you need script, which is provided by SAP GRC support team.
Create message under GRC component and they will provide you script for the same.
After running that script you can delete the concerned connector.
Remember this script will delete all your Management data.
