Delete hash value row in Bex report output

Hi All,
Can anybody suggest how can i remove hash value(not assigned) row in Bex report out put.
my report looks like this:
rows
project position
  (hierarchy)
  WBS element
    (hierarchy)
    Order
For each Project position and WBS element hierarchies, i did supress the " not assigned" tick in hiearchy attributes in RSH1.
but in colums i have budget as one of the column.
this budget comes from project position nodes to last node of WBS element but not in order, for order it will be blank but after this order a new row coming up with bold" Not assigned" with that budget amount against this not assigned.
My problem is how can i get rid of this not assinged entire row. I search so many links in SDN, they talk about just to replace the not assigned  to some other value as blank or something like that.
Please suggest me how can i get rid of this.
i did tried to restrict Order with "#" but then the whole budget column getting blank.
Regards
Robyn.

HI Arun,
As i mentioned earlier, i have gone through these links, they just talk about replacing # value or Not Assigned  to some other value or blank.
my issue is i need to get rid of that entire row.
when i drop proj def hierarchy ,then wbs hierachy starts, sometimes at the end of wbs hierarchy i get row with #
and sometimes after wbs hierarchy ,then order row then # row is coming.
even after i tick supress unassigned nodes in both Projdef and wbs hierarchies.
i am not supposed to simply replace #( not assigned) symbol or text with some other symbol or text ( thats what they discussing in these links).
i created that macro they said in those links but its just deleting # symbol to blank not the whole row.
hope i made my issue clear.
i have seen so many other links as well

  • BW - Alternative for # (hash/pound)sign in bex query output to Microstrategy

    Hello team,
We have a requirement to display BEx report output to the reporting tool Microstrategy. They are accessing the BEx query as the source. The issue we are facing is :- when there is no value for a characteristic, it displays a # sign in the report. This is the normal behavior of SAP BW. But Microstrategy is not able to access this pound/hash symbol and they want us to display a blank space instead of # sign. I was wondering whether there is any alternative for displaying blank space instead of hash/pound sign???

    Hi Jerry,
Yeah, I think that's the only way to maintain it..
    OR
How do you load data to your MASTERDATA object? You can just include "SPACE" value in the EXCEL file (if your datasource is a FLATFILE) or make a "SPACE" value in the transformation level..

  • Wrong values shown in Bex report

    Hi,
I've created a Bex report using 0IC_C03. my report is pretty simple, it has 0VALSTCKVAL as the key figure. As characteristics i have plant/ Movement type/ Storage location
Initial view it shows by Plant and no problems with the figures, but when i drill down on Location it shows 1 additional line for storage location with #, all the figures are assigned to this row. The row with the correct storage location has 0 in the key figure ! when i checked the cube there is no records with storage location #.
    Table
Plant                          Storage location                                             Movement Type     Value of valuated stock
    WH05     WH05     #     WH05/Not assigned                                    963                           15,224.97 EUR
                                                                                    Result           15,224.97 EUR
              E005             WH05/E005                                             963                                    0.00 EUR
                                                                                    Result                    0.00 EUR
                                                                                    Result      15,224.97 EUR
                                                                              Overall Result                         15,224.97 EUR
All the above values should be assign to WH05/E005 not to #. any help on the right direction is greatly appreciated.
    thanks

    Hi,
I do not know in which case Storage location values will not be maintained but what i can suggest this is something to do with ECC.
I feel data comes froM ECC to BI side so whatever is not there will not be present in BI as well.So its better to take help of functional guys and let them understand the issue and probably they can decide whehter theings to be done in ECC or BI side.
    Hope it helps.

  • Select  mutiple rows in ALV report output

    Hi All,
I want to select the Multiple records i in ALV report output with out holding the CNTL(Control Key).
Is there any options in Layout?
    Please let me know
    regards,

    Hi Ajay,
To select several rows without Control button, if the rows are adjacent:
    - select the first and the last of the desired rows with Shift button pressed
    or
    - select a row, keep the mouse button pressed, and pass over the desired rows
I don't know an option without Control if the rows are not adjacent.

    Hi,
I am fairly new to JSF so please bear with me if the answer is obvious :D. I'm using a dataTable component to display data from a database and would like to add a commandLink component to every row in the table that deletes that row from the database. What is the most effective way of doing this?
I'm thinking of using a ListDataModel with some function that removes the correct row (though I'm not sure how it will tie in with a commandLink and exactly where the database will be updated). I'll appreciate any pointers or perhaps even an online example of something similar.
Alternatively I suppose you could pass an "id" parameter on with the commandLink that somehow gets read in the request and the appropriate row is removed accordingly. This solution seems cumbersome however.Yes, your instincts are correct there. Binding the data model to a backing bean to get the UIData instance for the table. Then use UIData.getRowData() to get the object corresponding to the row containing the link/button. Then execute your business logic to delete the row from the database. Then you need to ensure the data model is updated to reflect the new state of the database.

    Hi Friends,
    Thank you for the reply.
I tried to exclude the values, but i dont find any chance to exclude them
If i try the same from characteristic restriction, its allowing me to exclude.
Is there any other possibility to restrict these? Please suggest

  • Bex report outputs!!!

In the BW 3.5 Bex reports/outout  is it possible to change the column heading by highlight , bold, adjust the length and width.

If your columns are key figures, go in their properties and select "highlight"...
    No bold option.
You can play with the width by changing the title...  No actual width option.
Length??  Do you mean number of lines?  If so, you can change that in the default template (or create a specific template fro this report) through WAD...

    Hi all,
I want to run a report in BW which has more than 65000 lines. Currently it tells me there is no space. How can I solve the issue please?
user is using BW 3.5 excel 2007
    GUI version is 7100.2.9.1039
    patch level 9
    please advise.

    Hi,
Can you try to remove some of the columns of your query.
My doubt , is the no. rows is actually killing the report or the population of higher column also may cause the issue.
try to make a copy of you report, and then remove the charecteristics, keep 1-2 and all KFs. Then run and check for the o/p.
Is it getting over the 65k reows  ?
    Thank-You.

  • Deletion of extra space in ALV report output

    Hi Experts,
I have one issue where i have to delete the extra space in the output of  ALV report.
Please let me know the possible way... Its very urgent.
    Thanks in advance
    Siri

    Hi Siri,
Try these following steps in your report...... i think, it will lead you to solve your problem.
    1. Give output length of alv column as 10.
    2. OUTPUTLEN is there in Field catalogue
    3. "gt_layout TYPE lvc_s_layo" -  use this one field col_opt
    Reward if useful.

  • Is it possible to have a link to delete a value in a SQL report?

    Application Express 3.1.0.00.32
I have a simple table with a listing of names (project managers) and would like to have a link in a separate column that would have the pm removed (delete the pk_id from the table).
I have tried several things without success.
I created a column link with the 'delete' request and a page process (multi row delete) only triggering whenever the 'delete' request is sent. Whenever you click the link, the id is not removed from the table and the page refreshes.
For column link I have tried page in this application and URL. Whenever selecting URL, I am given the following command:
    f?p=&APP_ID.:14:&SESSION.:delete:&DEBUG.::P14_PK_PROJMAN_ID:#ID#
:P14_PK_PROJMAN_ID is the page item and ID is the correct column that I wish to have removed.

    Hello:
You can put the JS function into the HTML Header section of the Page defintion.
    <script>
    function doDelete(id) {
    $x('P14_DEL_ID').value=id;
    doSubmit('DELETE');
</script>Define a new page process whose process point is 'On Submit: After Computations and Validations'. For the Process Source specify
Delete from <table> where key_column=:p14_del_id;Under Conditional Processing select 'Request=Expression 1'. For Expression 1 specify 'DELETE'
    Hope this helps.

  • Deletion of filter components from Bex Report in BI 7.0 via back end.

    Hi,
I want to delete 2 filter field components from the BI 7.0 report via back end. Im using the Tcode RSZDELETE and giving the variable element UID, Inforprovide name, query tech name. But when i excute it says empty selection.
Other than this is there any way to delete query components at back end???
    Regards,
    Nisha

    Thanks for the reply!
This is to delete the variable created??
My requirement is query specific , the restriction on the IO , ie the variable to be removed via back end.. that means deletion from that report..
hope my statement is clear enough to give me some light .
    Thanks

    Please advise on this.
    Advance Thanks

    Keyfigure Structure in the Column
The below fields are in the column
    BALANCE
    No.Of .Days

Please provide some tips. Thanks for help.

  • # value in the Bex report

    Dear all,
I created a report based on the Multi Provider that is build on 2 Cubes.
The vales in the report looks like this.
    Eg:
    State            Revenue
    CA               1000
    NA               2000
                     7000
    Total            10000
Here , the maximum Revenue is holding by  the # .I would like to know what is the # value represents.
we reloaded the master data also.
    Please help us,,
    Thanks

There might be two reasons for this.
    1. Your cube might be having few transaction data with blank states but having revenue against them. If you sum up the revenue for these Blank state it will sum up to 7000. This is exactly what is displayed in your report as #.  In this case you need to replace the # value with the valid State names.
    2. Your cube might be having few transaction data with the State values whose masterdata is not properly maintained. In this case you need to maintain the masterdata with valid state names. Or in the query designer -> Right Click on State object and goto properties -> For display select Key instead of Text.

  • Key Figure values in the Bex Report are different from the cube

    Hi all,
When I tried to pull data of the cube, the values of the Key Figure 0Lotsize_cm was showing 100 EA. But when I try to run the query of the cube, then the key figure is LotSize is showing up as 500 EA. I don't understand why this is happening.
When I checked for Aggregation in the Key Figure. It shows up as "Sum" under aggregation and "Last Value" under Exception aggregation.
Could some one help me find a solution to this issue.
I look forward to hearing from the experts.
    Regards,
    S.P

    Hi Arun and  Zegion,
    Thank you for your responses.
Arun, I do not have any aggregates on the cube. I changed the aggregate properties of the Key Figure from SUM to Minimum. this has solved my problem temporarily.
the reason I am saying temporarily because this is a SAP delivered InfoObject. This is for the datasource 0CO_PC_PCP_01. When I read through the documents, it said, SUMMation for Aggregation and Last value for "Exception Aggregation" will display the value of KF as the last value and does not add them up.
Since this wasn't the happening in my query, I changed the Aggregation from SUM to Minimum.
    Regards,
    S.P
