Deleting Facebook icon and Facebook messages.

EDIT: A hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...
I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.
So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.
I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
How do I remove these FB stains from my BB?

go to options - application management and delete the facebook app from there, deleteing the FB icon off your home screen, does not remove the app from you phone

This is a known issue, I cannot delete some of mine, either.
If I select one at a time to delete, I have better success, but trying to delete more than one a time always fails.
The issue is known and supposedly is being investigated.

I paid apple to rent a movie. I clicked on the movie icon and the message is "You've already rented this but it hasn't been downloaded. go to downloads to manage your downloads. The problem is that there is no download icon to click on to get the movie

HP 6525 Photosmart Blue screen with On/Off icon and "B8564450" message

Found my HP6525 in the following state:
- Blue screen, with an On/Off icon and various error messages
- Cannot turn printer off; press On/Off switch and HP logo appears and then an new or same Blue Screen appears with the same or different error message all starting with the letter "B"
- Removing power cord from printer, and reattaching results in same scenario
- cannot really turn printer OFF, just multiple instances of the Blue Screen on display
- Cannot do anything else since there are no other controls other than the touch-screen.
- Printer was set up for Wireless/Bluetooth operation with the two computers having wireless access being a
- Windows 7 Laptop
- Apple iPad
Both worked flawlessly before this???
What happened??
-Unfortunately, this is the FIRST occurrance of this level of issue with a long line of HP inkjets?????
How can I reload firmware?
- connecting via USB cable, and doing setup or something different?

This seems like a hardware issue, I would suggest calling HP @8004746836 and see what options they have to replace or repair the printer.

Tried to delete an email and got message "The folder Trash is full, and can't hold any more messages. To make room . . . . " but the trash folders are empty!

Trash folder is empty.
Same problem trying to delete messages from 'sent' folder
Problem continues after computer restart.

Compact your folders. Deleting a message marks it for deletion and hides it. The disk space is not freed up until folders are compacted.
Using the Compact command under File does all floders. You can right clcik a folder and select Compact to do just that folder.
Compacting is a normal maintenance item and should be donr regularly.

Problem solved unchecked back up to icloud and backed up to my computer, which then allowed me to untick the songs that were physically on my iphone (when iphone connected to computer) that I didn't want. Synced again and voila!!! Only files I want are now on my iphone . This has been bugging me for weeks, determination certainly paid off. Sometimes I think having problems is a good thing, you learn heaps trying to solve an issue

Deleting mail icon in mail message

I inadvertently copied the
mail widget into an email and cannot delete it, bypass it, leave it as a draft--it keeps multiplying there. I cannot send or receive messages either. Would appreciate assistance.

Here is another way to approach this -- force a reindexing. In the support article at the link below, note the special instructions when forcing the reindexing of IMAP or Exchange accounts in the following:

The practical result of this action of removing the account folder, is that with the account still set up in the Preferences, Mail will connect to the IMAP server and create a new account folder, and while doing so will index the messages in the mailbox folders on the server, and any on the Mac.
Once reindex, you should be able to delete this message even if it remains.

Yahoo messnger didnt complete download and i couldnt reload it or delete its icon and i couldnt syncing from itunes

I connected the ipad to itunes and downloaded yahoo messnger for itunes but it didnt syncing with the ipad

Try a reset to see if it resumes loading after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Can't delete a Facebook message from Hub list

After a solid week of problems, my Z30 is or was fully functional...except I am not able to delete a pvt faceboook message on the the Hub list. It has been deleted on my fb page, but the greyed out fb icon and the message on the Hub does not respond to the pressing of the "This will delete the selected item" button....please, please, please don't tell me I have to do a factory reset after what I've already gone thru!....thanks for any help anyone can give me!....Bill

Arthur, OK that is easier...also, I was able to find another solution on the CB forum. Just go to Settings>Accounts>unselect sync messages. That gets rid of all the messages, then go back and select turn sync messages back on. That seems to be a reset that is a permanent fix. Don't know how I missed that setting to begin with...maybe age something to do with it? Anyway, thanks Arthur and I hope you have a merry Christmas!

Old Facebook Messages Restored with OS Updates

With every OS update (since I purchased my Q10), all goes smoothly except that my historical (previously deleted) facebook messages/notifications come flooding back into my Hub - read and unread, they all come back. Any suggestions on how I can resolve this issue?

Your device is just syncing with all your emails, contacts and apps since OS update. Log out from your FB app and reboot your device. When it's on, connect to wall charger and remove the battery. Leave it for 20 minutes. It will resolve some apps error and incorrect battery meter. You may need to do this reboot within one or two days. Now login to FB app again.
It's quite weird, never happened to me.

Video thumbs became icons and won't play in preview of Bridge

I started a new project in Premiere Pro 6. I'm not sure if it is relevant, but one thing I did differently on a new project was change the DV to HDV, the only time I've done that.
Then when I was importing by dragging from CS6 Bridge a bunch of videos, it looked like they were disappearing, or being moved instead of copied, so I terminated and started over. But after that some thumbnails switched icons and won't play in CS6 preview, though they do when clicked to open in media player.
I think when I finished the video and was starting to export, that a window came up and said dynamic link fail or something. I'd never seen before. Back in CS6, I went to a backup disk and copied the video files that here had thumbs, and copied to the folder with the icons. They had the same number code, but had text in front on the originals. Once I compared to make sure all thumbs and icons were represented, I deleted the icons, and then renamed the thumbs according to my current naming system, so they were just like the replaced ones.
I had exported to queue, and now ran the queue. I got the dynamic link error again, and when I looked back in CS6, the replaced thumbs had become icons like before. Since I still had the window with the other backup disk open, I copied those. But this time, even though they lacked the text in front of them, they arrived as icons instead of thumbs also. I thinkperhaps it is because PP can recognize that they are the same files even though they have different name. Because when I have changed the names of files that are already in a video sequence, and PP asks where the file is, and I indicate the file, it accepts it with the new name, though the old one still shows in the sequence, and doesn't need to be redone when reopened.
The icons, when in PP do play as normal and the export went normally. But the icons won't play in the Bridge preview, and now it seems I can't get back thumbs at all.

Publishing AIR file deletes original icon files

I have seeral Flash/AIR projects where I have selected app icons in the AIR Application and Installer Settings dialog. Every time I build the AIR file, the entire directory containing those icon files is deleted. The files correctly end up in the generated AIR file, but how do I keep it from deleting my originals every time?
If it matters, I store the icon images in a subdirectory under where the .fla and accompanying files live, like this:
MyProject/
    project.fla
    something.as
    project.swf
    AppIconsForAIRPublish/
        icon-128x128.png
        icon-32x32.png
        icon-16x16.png
        icon-48x48.png
Why does it delete the icons and the containing folder after building the .air file, and how can I prevent it?

I hate the "delete tab" icon on the left of the tab!

Two big "WHY"s for Apple:
1- Why is the "delete tab" icon on the LEFT of the tab? That's the place I click to move to that tab.
2- Why is the "delete tab" icon HIDDEN until you mouse over it???
If you're working quickly, you can click on a tab to bring it up -- BUT too bad! You hit the "delete tab" icon and the Web page disappears.
The "delete tab" icon should always show, so we can AVOID CLICKING on it.
AND -- it should be located on the right side of the tab, where we are much less likely to click.
