Delivery Options Printer Custom Filter

I am trying to invoke a custom print filter for a Printer Delivery Option and having trouble
Filter: Customer Filter
URI: IPP Printer IP address
Filter Command: c:\mybatchfile.bat {infile} {outfile}
When the contents of the batch file are
copy %1 %2
The file prints fine
If a perl program is called to alter the output
as in
perl alteroutput.pl %1 %2
The report just has a status of running
and the Document Process says "Not Started".
I cant find anything in a log.
Please help

Solved
We had "print" debugging statements in perl script.
We removed all of these and works fine.

How to do browse and filter option in custom UI

Adding Custom Filter Options for Newsfeed Web Part

It seems that there is no OOTB options which allow to add more filters in the newsfeed web part.
But we have many methods to retrieve the social feeds and you can filter them in the way you like. To know more about how to get feeds, the following link should be a good start.

Maintain Output for delivery & invoice printing

I have maintained the output condition types in VV21 & VV31 to have automatic output option during my Delivery note printing & invoice printing.
And I have also maintained the Output determaination procedure & assigned to my delivery & invoice doument types.
But when I goto VL02n & issue to output, the next output screen pops up, but without the output types that I have maintained.
So I cannot send to the print option. Can you let me know if something is missing?

Just check the condion types tables as which combination you have selected, eg ., customer/country like that.
Now if that is correct see whether the proper out script or form has been assigned to V2( Shipping ) and V3 (Billing )applications in Transaction code " NACE ".
see while maintaining the condition records at VV21 whether the partner function is SH ( Ship to party ) and VV31 where it should be BP ( Bill to party).

Unfortunately there is no built-in support for this customization in SSRS so far. You have to code to implement this feature in your custom application. For example, use a ReportViewer control in an ASP.NET application or a Win Form application.
Anyway I think that you promote a good suggestion to improve Microsoft product's feature. Could you please give your feedback to our product team here?

Issues with the Custom Filter in Datasheet View

I'm seeing some odd, yet intermittent, behavior while trying to filter columns in datasheet view using a custom filter. After clicking to apply a filter to a column and choosing 'Custom Filter...' a pop-up with regular expressions should appear much like
the following screenshot:
However sometimes, usually on a page refresh, this pops up instead:
I have been able to replicate this sporadically in both IE 8 and 9 against different columns but it's really inconsistent. I can't seem to find any configuration issues or commonality across the clients that might be responsible. Local installations of Office
are 32bit. I know 64bit has been known to cause some issues. I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this issue at all or perhaps it has been addressed in a more recent CU than what I am running (14.0.6117.5002). Any insight would be much appreciated,

Hello all
We get this as well on one computer in the office. It seems to be more of an MS Office issue than a Sharepoint issue specifically the "Microsoft Office List 14.0" ActiveX add in.
On one computer that has Office 2010, when "Edit in Datasheet" is clicked within a Sharepoint list the MS office list 14 ActiveX is called and the custom filter options appear with the missing combo boxes like in the picture at the top. I've found this is
reproducible by simply doing:
1. Visit a Sharepoint list
2. Actions > Edit in Datasheet
(If you click one of the drop downs at this point and choose Custom filter it will open as expected)
3. Actions > Show in standard view
4. Actions > Edit in Datasheet
5. Click one of the drop downs, choose Custom filter and the problem will occur
The only way to make the option reappear is to close down IE and reopen it. You'll then get one more go with point 1 and 2 above before the problem will reoccur again after changing the view using Actions.
Anyone using Office 2007 doesn't seem to have this problem however this uses a different version of the control namely "Microsoft Office List 12.0"
Uninstalling Office 2010 and reinstalling it seems to fix it for a bit but the problem will soon come back. Strangely it won't come back straight away but when it does its easy to reproduce following the above steps.
Testing this on another computer that just happens to have Office 2010 and Sharepoint Designer 2007 installed the problem does not occur however when the ActiveX is called for the Sharepoint list it just happens to invoke the Office List 12 version despite
the fact both versions are available on the machine.
This probably happens because Sharepoint Designer was installed after Office 2010 was installed on the machine so has updated the registry to call the older version which seems to be problem free.

Edit as I'm typing this: Just found http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2817403 which is dated 11th June 2013 but doesn't mention any fix for this problem.
I've tried installing the Sharepoint services support components using the Sharepoint Designer installer package as below:
This includes the STSLIST.dll version 12.0 and updates the registry accordingly so that this component is referenced and does seem to fix the problem.
Unfortunately for me, when I checked back later the browser had reverted back to using the 14.0 component for reason I can't explain. Perhaps a Windows update came through and "adjusted" the registry settings to use the newer version. Unfortunately any attempt
at deleting the 14.0 file simply recreates it when "Edit in Datasheet" is choosen.
It would be great to get a proper fix for this instead of having to try and force the computer to use the older component!

How to default Concurrent Program delivery options to Email.

As of r12.1.3, we have a new button in concurrent request submission window called "Delivery Opts"
Clicking that button opens up a new window with delivery options.   Second tab contains the Email option.
I have a need where a concurrent program is submitted it should email the output by default without needing to manually enter email details every time.
I know that this can be done via scheduled concurrent requests. But in my case this concurrent program will be part of the shipping document set and will be submitted through the form and not SRS.
In concurrent program definition window under AOL, we have ability to assign default printer, but we do not have any ability to assign default email functionality.   It would be nicer if we had one.
That having said, does any one know how to do this ? How can I submit a concurrent program from a form and default to email option ?   Where would I control this setup?

Save custom filter for every document?

Hello,
sorry for my english ;)
In FW CS3 it was possible to save a custom filter and so this
filter was always shown in den filter list even when you open an
new document.
Now in FW CS4 you can only save a filter oder a style which
is addicted to the current document.
When you open a new one, you have to select every time your
saved filter or stile set.
This is no help and in my eyes a step back. I didn´t
found any solution to access my custom filter or stile set right
away when I open a new document.
It doesn´t help to save the workspace area and options
in a own set .. on every start, the stile window is empty and you
hav to select one.
Does sombody know a way to make a own set or stile selectable
(instant) to new documents?

Is there a way to remove this custom filter from the console without having to load the console? I cannot delete it in the console as every time I select it the console crashed before I can delete.

One of the below outlined options may assist.
Option 1:
You can attempt to rename the jobfilters.xml with the below steps. Please note renaming jobfilters.xml will remove all custom filters in place and they will need to be recreated.
Log into DPM server with the user account the custom filter was created with. Ensure the DPM console is closed.
From control panel select appearance---show hidden file and folders. Ensure for Hidden files and folders that the radio button is selected for Show hidden files, folders,
and drives
From windows explorer navigate to the following path

   4. Rename JobsFilter.xml to JobFilters_old.xml
   5. Open the DPM console.
    6. Navigate to Monitoring- Jobs we should see all custom filters are no longer in place. If so re-create pervious working filters if any.
Option 2:
Provide full DPMUI0Curr.errlog to assist with investigating further as it may contain errors on the crash.
Log into DPM server with the user account the custom filter was created with.
Take needed steps to reproduce the crash behavior.
From control panel select appearance---show hidden file and folders. Ensure for Hidden files and folders that the radio button is selected for Show hidden files, folders,
and drives
From windows explorer navigate to the following path

   6. Open the DPMUI0Curr.errlog

Poor delivery options

I sent a gift to my neice, expedited by the way, and because she was at school and could not be home to sign for it, UPS said they won't re-deliver it until Monday, when she will be back at school again. Best Buy customer service says "sorry we cannot change any delivery options", such as picking it up at UPS or not requiring a signature. Looks like I won't be buying anything from them online again. Sorry!

It was very kind of you to purchase a gift for your niece! I’m sure she is very excited to receive it. It is regretful to hear that UPS is only able to deliver the package while she is unavailable.
After a 3rd failed delivery attempt, UPS will typically send the package back to the original sender. In that case, once it is received, the order will be returned and refunded. In cases in which shipping to a home is not an option, we offer Store Pickup, which allows the order to be fulfilled in stores. For most items, we even offer friends and family pickup as long as it is added during the checkout.

HP 6510e not printing custom paper sizes

I have recently purchased a HP Photosmart 6510e printer. I called HP Tech support from the store where I bought the printer and specifically asked if this printer would print custom paper sizes. I was told it would. I tried to print an invitation on a paper size of 5.5 X 8.5. The printer keeps giving me an paper mismatch error. The paper size shows up in the list of paper sizes, but has an exclamation Point beside it. If I click on teh paper size it changes to 8.5 X 11.
i am using a PC with Windows 7 OS.

Hi,
The Officejet 6510 software drivers for Windows does not have an option for custom paper sizes. I checked for the paper size (5.5x8.5) you were trying to print on and it is not an option under the paper sizes. The only option is probably to have your printer replaced with a comparable Laserjet printer. Laserjet printer have a different software package and the one I checked (Laserjet Pro M275) has a Custom option.

Available HTTP delivery options for Flash Access encrypted content

Dear colleagues,
Could you please clarify available HTTP delivery options for Flash Access encrypted content.
Standard HTTP DS scheme with Apache web server getting chunks of video from segmented with f4fpackager file.
HTTP Progressive Download of encrypted with Flash Access file (non segmented).
Is it possible to use byte range delivery in this case in order to start playback from custom position (seek)?
Are there any pitfalls in this case? Is it required to make encryption blocks aligned with keyframe intervals or something like that?

Thanks for your response, seems though that only the encrypted videos appear to have a problem because when I tried some un-encrypted videos (again from adobe http://drmtest.adobe.com/content/unencrypted/Indesign.f4v ) it played fine.
Maybe is has something to do with the decryption process and the hardware of the mobile phone after all.

Delivery Options previously available on AdobeSendNow not available on Adobe Send...Why?

On AdobeSendNow one had the following delivery options :
Sign in to access
Delivery receipts
Limit downloads to x number of days
Custome branding
These options do not appear with AdobeSend.
Why is this?

Because when software providers update and change their software they often go about it in a way that ensures what they had before was much more useful then their new version. I have no idea why this happens other than IT employees like changing things for no reason.
