Dell Inprision 2330 Backup and Recovery error message 0x4001100200001005
A week ago, there were problems with the computer Dell Inprision 2330, and I'm using a Dell Backup and Recovery to restore the disk C to the image stored on the dvd disks. 3 days ago the computer began to hang when windows starts. I decided again to restore the system with dvd, but this time got the error message 0x4001100200001005.
Tried to restore the image to another drive, but the error appears again.
Other recovery media then dvd-disks "dell backup and recovery" I don't have.
Please help.
I was very disappointed with this buggy system recovery. After I got tired of trying to restore the system, I found a post "Download Windows 8.1 Retail and OEM.iso". Did everything according to instructions. Now the computer is running. Activation performed automatically.
Recovery Media disks thrown in the trash.

Rescue and Recovery error message

I hope someone can assist me.
I have a 3000 J series desk top computer that has a error message that comes up several times a day. It says Rescue and Recovery has failed and I need to click the site to upgrade Rescue and Recovery. I click it and the Lenovo web page comes up to the download page. I try to down load it and I get the error message " tvtiargot has stopped working. Do we need the Rescue and recovery or is this just a junk file that Lenovo puts on the computer?
Also how many memory ports are there in a 3000 j desk top? is there a way to find out without taking the cover off?Lenovo J series has 2usb ports in the front and 2 in the back...If you need to use more a hub can be attached to one of the back usbports. Keep in mind one of the 2 ports in the back is used by the keyboard. Rescue and Recovery is notorious for not working properly in lenovo 3000J and thinkpad series. Some become corrupted and refuse to start..some are controled by Client Security..and sometimes will not open with the password or asks for one when you never created one. Beware...you delete Rescue and Recovery and you have a crash..you are toast ...The recovery disk that you make operates on the rescue and recovery format. It can be replaced by acronis..avail at staples..and more reliable ..but becareful about deleting the Rescue and Recovery program especially if you have enabled the client security...it is connected to the security chip in the bios..You many have to deactivate the chip first in the bios ..so you don;t get shut out of your computer....Addtitonal advise ..do not play sony/bmg music cd's in your lenovo..they can deactivate your cd/dvd drive as they contain a stealth program that can damage your system.
Other problems ..Roxio can severely slow down your system..and is most always a bundle sold with lenovo..You have to increase your virtual memory to almost 3000mb to speed things up..Upgrade your system to 2gb is you haven't already done so.. there are two memory slots...one is already occupied by 512mb memory chip..buy 2 1gb chips and put them in the slot after removing the 512mb. Open the cabinet...It is easy as changing a lightbulb.....good luck! -

Dell Backup and Recovery - Factory Recovery fails, need advice.
Back story:
I have tried this three times on three separate laptops, with poor results. Windows 7 on two of them and 8.1 one one, on all three the recovery partition is corrupt.I first boot it off of a live disk and backup any desired files. Then I boot, press F8, choose "Repair your computer" and discover that "Dell Factory Image Restore" is not one of the available options... so I boot the pc off of a different live disk and remove a bunch of "viruses", then I boot it off of the internal harddrive.In Windows I find that "Dell Backup and Recovery" may or may not be on the pc. It may or may not have ever been run before. If it is absent I download it and install it. When I run DBaR it tells me it needs to update, don't power off or disconnect the machine from the internet, etc. I then wait HOURS for this part to complete. When done it...

Windows 8.1 Dell Backup and Recovery exe doesn't work
I purchased dell Inspiron 3542, initially when i click on Dell backup and recovery then it was moving to create backup page. I install some software and transfer some data in my laptop, after this dell backup and recovery is not working. Not able to create backup in usb.
When i click on dell backup and recovery then it ask me for permission when i click on yes, nothing happen.
Any suggestions?Uninstall it. Reboot. Then install. Reboot.
All of this should be done as Run as Administrator or it will fail.
16GIG or Larger usb flash drive is required. 8 gigs is too small.

ihone 4s lost all contacts. I tried to restore from backup but the error message now says there is not enough room. I have deleted all the apps without making any more room on iphone. Why did contact disappear and how do I get them back?
In the simplest sense, archiving a file means making a copy that you never change and never discard. You already know how to do that.
iPhoto has built-in archival features, in the sense that it saves all versions of an image that you've modified. As long as you have adequate backups, you don't necessarily have any reason to archive an iPhoto library. If you want to delete images from the working library but still have access to them in case you change your mind, then you do need to archive those images. I don't have a specific suggestion as to how you should do that. You might post a question in the iPhoto forum. -

on page 88 of the "Backup and Recovery User's Guide 12c Release 1 (12.1) E17630-13", the example 5-1 SHOW ALL Command is the same of the "Backup and Recovery User's Guide 11g Release 2 (11.2) E10642-06" on page 82 and that output is related to a Oracle Database 11g version (the 10g doesn't print the first line "RMAN configuration parameters for database with db_unique_name PROD1 are:").

Dv6775us HP Backup and Recovery Manager software corrupted - can't find download
I am getting an HP error message saying the HP Backup and Recovery Manager software has been corrupted and needs to be updated. For over an hour I have been frustrated trying to find where on this site to download a replacement of what was installed or an upgrade that would repair the problem.
Can anyone point me to where I can get the software? Thanks.

If you did, then you are in luck because that is the software that can be used to reinstall the Recovery manager.
The downside is that you will have to do a factory image recovery to reinstall the software. A recovery is a destructive process, unlike a Windows stystem restore. A recovery will mean that you will needto save all of your data externally to avoid losing it and reinstall all of your programs after the recovery is complete.

Need clarification for cold backup and recovery
Hello Everyone ..
I have much confusion on cold backup and recovery topic.
Already i posted a scanario regarding this and i want to know some clarity points to understand.
1. I had cold backup two days before
2. I am creating an object *(EMP)* and inserting some records then issue log switch continiously.
3. Manually i removed all physical files (datafiles , control files , log files , redolog files ...)
4. then i issued STARTUP FORCE MOUNT;
5. here i am getting error identifying control file.
6. cold backup two days before all files restored
6. then i issue recover database using backup controlfile until cancel;
7. i am trying to issue select * from emp; i am getting error

After cold backup finished , i created emp table ..

please do NOT consider as "*DUPLICATE*"When you recover the database using backup controlfile until cancel, you have to apply archived logs. Did you apply all of them?
If the create command was in the online redo, not yet archived, and you lost the online redo, then you won't have it. This is why you want to have redo multiplexed, it is a critical piece.
In some recovery scenarios, if you haven't lost the online redo, you need to specify those files as if they were archives.
It is normally easier to just be sure you have the latest controlfiles and let Oracle figure it out automatically (which is why you want to use online RMAN backups rather than cold backups). But yes, it is important to understand what is going on for different scenarios. I used to have manual standbys, and one of the disaster instruction sets explained to try to get online redo over to the standby to lose as few transactions as possible. That could still be useful for some snapshot hardware type scenarios, assuming the business is too cheap to do proper failovers. -
Updating iTunes 12.1 and get error message "The procedure entry point CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll". What went wrong and how to resolve this?
Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

Itunes was working fine. Tried to install latest upgrade and get error message about an invalid character in the path "Program Files (x86)". PC, Win7, nothing else appears to be having same issue. Program still works, simply cannor upgrade.

I tried this solution without success. After FixIt ran and didn't find a problem, either in looking for issues with "software upgrade" or "iTunes" it kindly offered to help me uninstall iTunes. I had thought of this as a possibilty but it seems to me that if you do that you lose a lot of "non-native-to-Apple" information you might have entered. I did this once and recovery was painfull. Is there a way to uninstall iTunes without losing all of that sort of thing? Any help would be appreciated. -
New Hard Disc Drive for HP Pavilion dv6 because of 303 and 305 error messages

My laptop was getting slower and slower so I did a default restore via the recovery partition and when it rebooted to start the reformat and reinstall to factory condition I got a message on the screen telling me to run the hard disc drive test. Did this and got the 303 and 305 error messages. The restore to default setting worked however after doing research in the error codes I realise I'm up for a new hard disc drive.
My laptop is a HP Pavilion dvd6-3203TU with WIndows 7 Home Premium installed. It currently has a 320GB TOSHIBA MK3265GSXX hard disc drive in it.
After reading through the forums I'm happy to find that my Recovery Discs will reinstall everything to a new hard drive and partition it into a C: drive and also the recovery partition. The main question I have is does my new hard drive have to be 320GB in size like the original or can I buy something like a 500GB+ drive for the laptop. If I have to replace the hard drive I may as will increase the size while at it, if possible that is.
Also does it have to be a Toshiba or can I buy a different brand?
Looking forward to some help in regards to this so thank you in advance also

Your notebook is listed as coming with a 320Gb Hard Drive, but you can just as easily install a 500Gb or 750Gb HDD if you want more space - the drives on the following links are examples that would be fine for your notebook - you're in no way restricted to a particular manufacturer.
500Gb Hard Drive
750Gb Hard Drive.
The procedure to replace the Hard Drive starts on Page 65 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

Issue with backup and recovery of WLS
I have installed WLS 10.3.6 in my 64-bit Linux box, now I am trying to take backup my server. I have a web-application deployed to my WLS, the path to my war file was something like:
<home_dir>/install_files/myapp.war
Now to take backup I ran tar command on my current Linux box, now I copied the .tar files to my new Linux box and extracted it. When I am starting my weblogic server it is looking for the war file from the path <home_dir>/install/myapp.war which does not exist on my new machine. So I logged into Admin console of WLS on my new machine and trying to change the path for myapp.war by clikcing update button. But I am getting this error when I change the path:
weblogic.management.ManagementException: [Deployer:149007]New source location, '/u01/Oracle/install_files/myapp.war', cannot be deployed to configured application, 'myapp'. The application source is at '<home_dir>/myapp.war'. Changing the source location is not allowed for a previously attempted deployment. Try deploying without specifying the source.
Update operation failed - no deployments changed.
Please help me how to deploy my files. I'm expecting backup and recovery option should also take care of deployed files but it is not happening in my case, is that wrong?1. There is no specific order, but last to go down should be CMS and first to come up should be CMS.
