Difference between AAC, matched and purchased

To upgrade my Protected AAC audio files, I subscribed to iMatch. Through the iCloud dowload service, I was able to download (what I believe are) uprotected AAC audio files. However, Depending on the song, they got converted to any of the three different 'kind' of files:
- AAC audio file @ 128kpbs
- Matched AAC audio file @ 256kbps
- Purchased AAC audio file @ 256kbps
Some of the songs have not been converted and remained Protected.
Can anybody explain why these differend kinds occured and what their difference is (appart from the bit rate)?
Thanks in advance
Patrick

I copied this from about.com, hope it helps:
AAC audio file: This is a standard AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) file. Most likely, you created this file by converting an MP3 or ripping the song from CD using iTunes' built-in AAC encoder.
Matched AAC audio file: This is a standard AAC audio file, except that you downloaded it to your computer or iOS device from your iCloud account, using iTunes Match.
MPEG audio file: This is a standard MP3 file. You may have downloaded it from the web or ripped the song from a CD using iTunes' built-in MP3 encoder.
Protected AAC audio file: A protected AAC file was the default filetype for songs purchased from the iTunes Store prior to the introduction of the DRM-free iTunes Plus format in April 2009. It is noted as being protected because the DRM built into the file prevents it from being copied/shared beyond the iTunes account it's associated with.
Purchased AAC audio file: A purchased AAC file is what a protected AAC file becomes when it's been upgraded to the iTunes Plus format. This file was still purchased at the iTunes Store, but it no longer has the DRM-based copy restrictions. All songs at the iTunes Store sold after April 2009 are in the Purchased AAC audio file format.

  • Difference between IC Matching and IC Elimination

    Hi all,
    Can anyone please explain me the difference between IC matching and IC elimination. Do we generate records in IC Matching?
    Please help,
    Diskha,

    Hi Diksha,
    In addition to the above information, would like to inform you that any inter-company elimination or allocation or matching, can only be executed when values from all entities have been entered (and translated into the reporting currency). It matches, allocates and removes the records which are doubled and which can influence the company transactions, records, calculations and analysis and lead to wrong generation of data.
    Hope this helps.

  • XFA Specification Question: What is the difference between ancestor match and sibling match

    Hello.
    Please, tell what is the main difference between ancestor scope match and sibling scope match during data binding process.
    I've read "XML Forms Architecture (XFA) Specification Version 3.0" pages 182-188 a few times and tried to find the main difference, but I couldn't.

    They are very different, actually.  Last.fm is essentially a tracking tool for your music plackback preferences.  Plus it's a web portal / forum for many music-related discussions.   It's cross-platform and thus very OS / device agnostic.
    iTunes Match is a Matching service that takes your local music libaray (in iTunes) and "matches" them to whatever is in Apple's music database.   So, if you have a lot of older 128kps files, the hope is that they will be upgraded to 256kps AAC's. And it's also a "cloud" solution for your music, allowing you to keep not only your iTunes systems in sync but also your iOS devices.  But it's not cross-platform -- no Android support, no Linux support for example.

  • Difference between AAC and m4a files, converting from AAC to useable format

    Does anyone know the difference between AAC and m4a files? iTunes has an option to use an AAC encoder to compress CD files, but this creates an m4a file not an AAC file. I just got some actual AAC files and iTunes cannot read these, is there a way to convert from AAC to a format that iTunes recognizes? Thanks

    iTunes uses AAC data wrapped in an MPEG 4 container file. If you got some *.AAC files, and they're just raw AAC files, then you need to wrap them in an MPEG 4 container. The only way I know to do this is using the foobar 2000 program. You can find more information at http://www.hydrogenaudio.org and http://www.foobar2000.org

  • Purchasing - Difference Between Organisation Classification and type?

    Hi All,
    Whilst setting purchase organisation i was curious to know what is the difference between organisation type and organisation classification when creating organisation within Purchasing?
    Any useful explanation will be welcomed

    Hi Lavanya,
    this choice boils down to the XML definition of Type an Element.
    A type is not something concrete; meaning that it is merely a definition. You'll always need something of that type to put data in. In other words; if I only have a type, I'll need to create an element that is of that type in order to have something to work with.
    For the messages it comes down to this: say, I've declared a type by the name of
    <complexType name="arbitraryType">
    <sequence>
    <element name="contentGoesHere"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    If I make the message of this type: it will look like this:
    <MessageName>
    <payload>
    <contentGoesHere>
    </payload>
    </MessageName>
    If I define an element as following:
    <element name="arbitraryElement">
    <complexType>
    <sequence>
    <element name="contentGoesHere"/>
    </sequence>
    </complexType>
    </element>
    and I put it in the message, it will look like this:
    <MessageName>
    <payload>
    <arbitraryElement>
    <contentGoesHere/>
    </arbitraryElement>
    </payload>
    </MessageName>
    Hope this clears up a little. Refer to w3.org for an exact definition of the two.
    Cheers,
    André

  • Difference between Search Helps and Match Codes?

    Difference between Search Helps and Match Codes?

    Serch help
    Search Helps
    The input help (F4 help) is a standard function of the R/3 System. The user can display the list of all possible input values for a screen field with the input help. The possible input values can be enhanced with further information. This is meaningful especially when the field requires the input of a formal key.
    Standard Input Help Process
    A user calls an input help with the following steps (some steps can be omitted, depending on the definition of the input help):
    The user starts the input help to display the possible input values for a field (search field) in a screen template.
    The system offers the user a number of possible search paths. The user selects one of these search paths. Each search path offers a number of restrictions to limit the number of possible input values. These values are offered in a Dialog box for value restriction when the search path is selected.
    The user enters restrictions if required and then starts the search.
    The system determines the values that satisfy the entered restrictions (hits) and displays them as a list (hit list).
    The user selects the most suitable line from the hit list by double-clicking.
    The value of the search field is returned to the screen template (possibly together with other values).
    Steps 2 and 3 are omitted if there is only a single search path available. In this case the dialog box for the value selection is offered immediately. You can also output the hit list directly after starting the input help. Steps 2 to 4 are omitted in this case.
    Function of a Search Help
    This standard process can be completely defined by creating a search help in the ABAP Dictionary. This search help only has to be assigned to the screen fields in which they should be available (see Attaching Search Helps to Screen Fields).
    There are two types of search help:
    Elementary search helps describe a search path. The elementary search help must define where the data of the hit list should be read from (selection method), how the exchange of values between the screen template and selection method is implemented (interface of the search help) and how the online input help should be defined (online behavior of the search help).
    Collective search helps combine several elementary search helps. A collective search help thus can offer several alternative search paths.

    Match code
    Match code is nothing but the Search help in Higher versions
    It is same way from SE11 you have to create.
    so from SE11 create it and use it.
    Matchcode objects are being replaced by search helps. This is good as search helps are easy to create. However, it has caused some confusion on how best to add search helps to a selection field.
    The trick that I found is to keep your newly created search helps to a 4-character name. The Matchcode object name has this old 4-character limit. This trick is not documented anywhere in the system but it has been a great time saver for me. You can expand this concept by finding existing SAP search helps that are more than 4-characters, copy them to a 4-character name and presto, you have a new matchcode object available for use

        Can anyone send me T.codes for above ones in purchasing.

        In which table can we see the item number for rebate agreement

    Hi,
    If you have to deal with more complex situations, you can define a delivery cycle in the material master record in addition to the planning cycle. In so doing, you determine the days on whichthe vendor delivers his goods. The delivery cycle is entered in the material master record as a planning calendar in the Planning calendar field.
    You enter a delivery cycle if the delivery date (or the goods receipt date) depends on the day on which you order the goods. For example, you carry out the planning run and place your orders on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you place the order on Monday, the delivery is made on Wednesday, if you wait until Tuesday to place the order, the delivery is not made until Friday
    Where as Planning calander is Three character number (numeric or using letters) that specifically identifies a PPS-planning calendar. The difference between Planning calender and delivery cycle is If you have selected the MRP type "MRP" and have set a period lot-sizing procedure according to planning calendar, you enter here which planning calendar is to be used.
    If you selected the "time-phased planning" MRP type, the planning calendar that you specify here defines the delivery cycle. This specifies the days on which the vendor delivers the material. You can enter the planning cycle in addition to the delivery cycle

  • Difference between shipping invoice and fiscal invoice?

    Helo.
    Can anyone tell me the difference between Shipping Invoice and Fiscal Invoice?
    Regards
    Points are assured

    Hi Kulkarni,
    Invoice Processing
    Process
    You can use this business process to display and process invoices both in SAP Enterprise Buyer (SAP EBP) and SAP Supplier Self-Services (SAP SUS).
    As supplier or service provider, all invoices that you enter or process in SAP Enterprise Buyer must be approved by a responsible internal employee. For goods and services with a low purchase value, invoices and credit memos can also be created without a purchase order reference. Moreover, it is also possible to create express invoices in the check status application.
    In SAP Supplier Self-Services (SAP SUS) invoices can be entered with reference to a purchase order, shipping notification, or contact person before they are sent to the customer.
    If, following a purchase order, the goods supplied or the service provided turn out to be defective or the price charged is too high, you as an internal employee, supplier, or service provider, can enter and process credit memos or subsequent debits/credits in SAP Enterprise Buyer
    i think the invoice generated during a particular fiscal year is fiscal invoice.
    thanks

  • Difference between Credit memo and subsequent credit

    All SAP Gurus,
    In MIRO, what is the difference between Credit memo and subsequent credit?
    Regards,

    Difference between Credit memo and subsequent debits/credits
    Subsequent Debits/Credits are used in cases where the quantity is in the original invoice is to remain the same. For eg.
    PO  10 - $10
    Gr   10 - $10
    LIV 10 - $11 (Logistics Invoice Verification)
    The vendor invoice is more than that in the Purchase Order. In order to correct, the Vendor may send in another invoice for
    the Increased amount or a credit memo for the increased amount.
    If you approve of the price increase, post the subsequent invoice received as a Subsequent Debit/Credit Invoice.
    If it is a credit memo that has been received, then post the credit memo as Subsequent Debit/Credit.
    This would retain the quantity but reduce the amount.
    Subsequent Debit/Credit is for the case when the credit is not for the full amount eg. if the Vendor decided to credit
    only the $1 overcharged.
    Credit memo is for the credit of the full amount and value.
