Digital I/O board 9478 error code 65548 overcurrent report by channel

Hi All,
We are investigating overcurrent on digital outputs. This project is using the Scan Engine instead of FPGA.
Reading one of the hardware shared variables gives the error code 65548 - One or more channels are in overcurrent or overvoltage protection mode.
If we used FPGA would we be able to determine which channel is in overcurrent?

Hello Paul,
Yes, it can. You can use Module I/O Method and it will indicate if the module runs into overcurrent or not. The previous like is for the 9269, but it also works for the 9478. Remember that if you are using LabVIEW 2012, you won’t be able to create a method by right clicking on the I/O variable because of a known bug. A workaround for this is to open the example “NI 9269 Status Methods.lvproj” and add your target. Then you can right click on the method » Select Item » select your module.

Board giving error codes for RAM

I have a Z87-GD65 GAMING board. I am having an issue with running the RAM in DUAL channel. It will running OK with each stick individually installed, but not together. Error codes I'm getting are a 10, followed by 19, and then 55. With just one stick, code is A0. My RAM is Corsair Vengeance Pro Series Red 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHZ (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory CMY8GX3M2A1600C9R.
This is on the very first boot after everything was installed. no BIOS changes were made.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, not true at all. They are very fragile. A CPU cooler mounted uneven or that has incorrect torque will also cause this behavior.

Error Code -50150 from DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi

I have an executable, built from Labview 7.1 VI's. All it is doing is reading 6 voltages back from a 6008 USB-DAQ, and reporting the results back. Occasionally, it is throwing an Error -50150 from DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi. The full error message is:
Error Code: -50150
DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi<append>
<B>Task Name: </B>_unnamedTask<0>
Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

I have a really similar problem to the one Neilelph had, but I can´t see how to solve it from your answers. I attached a picture of my main .VI.
It´s basically a photodiode measurment system working as follows:
1. First the moving stages for the system get ready (X-Y moving stages for the Photodiode and Z stage for the Laser). That´s the CONFIG subVI in the left.
2. Then there is a For Loop, that repeats N times depending on the Initial Z, final Z and step values. So in this .VI the laser moving stage is the only one changing.
3. In each loop, the stages go to the X,Y,Z(t) posiition (MOV subVI), wait for the movement (WAIT subVI) and read the position. After that, the DAQmx acquistion part starts. I just sample the output DC voltage coming from the Photodiode (Dev1/ao1), 1000 samples in 1 second, and then I make an average of all of them with the Basic DC/rms block. So at the end I have 1 position of Z and one DC value. And it worked perfectly. At least for small number of iterations I have no problems.
The problem comes with small steps and a great number of iterations. For example last night I ran a measurement. 10000 iterations, the whole range of Z, and today i checked it. It worked fine until 5000 give or take, the half of the range. From that point, the DC ouput recorded in the .lvm file is just 0.00000. It´s the second time it happens, so I´m wondering what´s wrong because I´m affraid to make more long measurments and obtain the same results.
The error message I obtained is the same than in the thread title: -50150 DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi:6<append> <B>Task Name: </B>_unnamedTask<53BC>
Maybe it would be useful to mention that, sometimes, there is no error and I have some DC Output Voltage value, for random Z potitions, but since the first error message, that barely happens. The output is almost always 0.

Error code -88708 with DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic)

Hi,
I am trying to construct a VI that moves a piezoelectric stage, the VI then needs to scan voltages from the DAQ card to build up arrays of the voltage and coordinates before constructing a 3D graph.
The VI successfully moves the stage and reads the position back to me but when it tries to scan voltages from the DAQ it fails (I'm using the DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi example, as this has been used in a previous, similar (and successful) VI within my department.)
I get the following error code:
Error -88708 occurred at DAQmx Create Channel (AI-Voltage-Basic).vi
Possible reason(s):
The specified resource is not available. The operation could not be completed as specified.
Task Name: _unnamedTask<1>
Any help on this would be appreciated - I'm fairly new to LabView and am at a loss with how to fix this!

Is this working when you restart the computer? It might be that the recources are still recerved because the Clear Task.vi wasn't executed (either it`s not present or you did use the abort button).

HD or Logic Board? error code ata1/6/3 HD:2,0

I've been having a problem with my PB Ti 500 where after running for a while, I'll get the beachball of death and my application, usually Safari or FireFox since I haven't been able to rely on the machine lately, hang. Other symptoms are the machine occasionally not seeing the drive and issues with CDs spinning up and mounting.
I'm on my third replacement harddrive, the current one has 4 years left on its warranty so I'm skeptical that it's the problem. It's a Seagate Momentus 40GB drive. The error messages, below, suggest that it might be the HD but I also wonder if it could be the logic board and the ata bus going.
Any ideas or advice are appreciated!

AHT isn't always dead on this is true.
Just out of curiosity, what are your symptoms? I am guessing that the start-up drive doesn't work if you put it into the 2nd bay?

Error code post/16/64?

I've been having recurring problems with my G4.
Symptoms:
2nd internal hard drive warning such as prompting an error message of 'you must initialize, ignore, eject' then I re-boot, other times a prohibit sign, spinning rainbows, kernel panics. It's a mess.
This only happens on start up after shutting down for the night. But I think I've made things worse
I ran suggested back-ups, PRAM resets, ran cocktail, tried disk utility from start up, ran disk warrior from start up, it found some file errors, cleaned them up. Cloned my system using Superduper, backed the hd up on a NewerTech.
Next day, start up issues again.
I ran memtest, and that found nothing. Start up from install disc, ran disk utility, everything's passing, SMART status is verified.
But it is still not operating correctly. I still have start up issues.
This has been going on for at least a week.
I ran AHT twice. The first time all tests passed. I didn't believe it.
So I ran it again and I received the following:
error detection at the logic board:
error code: scc_/1/5 (I think this is a non-apple board warning)
error code: post/16/64.
What?
My internal HD (original) is running at 85% (60g)
My second internal is 120g partitioned with mostly back-ups (not the only back up) and documents.

The POST/16/64 points to an error on your processor board, bad cache memory. I had this same error, still have the processor on a shelf actually, and it took me months to find the code translation.
Apple says for a POST/16/xx error
1. replace processor board
2. replace main logic board
I don't know if there is a heat issue that causes this, but, several cases that I have heard of had systems that ran very hot.
A fellow in Singapore mentioned that he had the same error and believes that the heat causes the external cache chips on the 7455 processor board to loosen(I think your Gigadesigns is a 7447 based chip). He stated that he heated his chips and resolved the error:
"The cache are DDR type samsung BGA chips. This is most difficult as both sits directly opp each other. The only way I think is to heat the chip on 1 side below 220degC(removal at 350degC and soldering in at 300degC). Best if you can get a heater blower and blow at the small gap bet chip and processor board, very tiny clearance, less than 1mm. You can give it a try for the time being, on the chip itself though not the most ideal."
If there are other numbers at the end, ie POST/16/xx yyyy then it is likely a RAM problem or RAM slot problem
1. reseat DIMMs
2. replace DIMMS
3. replace main logic board
Hope this helps, I ended up replacing my processor and as I stated before still have the originalon a shelf. I may try the heat trick one day though.

When apply the file g1471898 the adpatch was unable to generate reports. The message is ERROR [Code=1] generating report ....

Thats not much to go on.
You should probably take this up with Oracle Support.
But surely there is more in the logs than just that.
You dont have any 'ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors..' or
something along those lines?
If you cant sort out the issue from your log files, then
you might want to recompile your apps schema and try the g-driver
again. Before contacting Support.

Windows 7 Error Code 43 on Macbook Pro internal Bluetooth Adapter

This adapter works...sometimes, and lately mostly it just gives error code 43 (device reports an error) - but it works fine in Mac Os mode. Any ideas?

That is relative with some memory conflict between drivers.
If you have got this trouble after any Windows 7 driver update, remove that driver. and, reboot

I tried every obvious solution to this problem with different types of disc (-R; +R; -RW and +RW) and the problem persisted. Then I read about removing a hyphen in picture filenames. I renamed all the images and bingo there were no further problems. Apple should have solved this by now. This error code has been reported for several years and my MacBook Pro is quite new. Anyway, I hope this helps. It does work.

The easiest way to look up an error in LabVIEW is to go to Help » Explain Error… and type in the error message attached to the error code. For 1519 it states, “Unable to print. Make sure you have installed a printer.” So there seems to be no available printers. I hope this helps.

I discovered the solution. The external drive I was saving it to was formatted as FAT32. In that format, the largest files can only be 4GB, which explains why it kept stopping at 4GB. I backed up all the files then reformatted it as Mac OS Extended (Journaled), this is possible since I am on an iMac.
