The best way to check the discoverer version is to go to $ORACLE_HOME/bin and run the
command:
strings -a dis51ws | grep "Discoverer Version:"

  • Versions difference in ecc 6.0

    Hello experts,
        What are the major and minor difference between the 4.6c and ECC 6.0
    Please tell me the diffences
    Thanks
    Raghava

    There are so many differences between the version in different objects
    I will explain in two or more objects the difference
    1 in the customer master in 4.6 version there is no partner function tab in the customer in xd01 t-code
    and also there is no CIN tab in that version
    but it is there in the 4.7 EE version
    This is the major change from the 4.6cc to 4.7EE
    2. in 4.7EE there is some settings that are related for CIN
    which cannot be done in 4.7EE that means they need some patches for doing the configuration setting for the CIN
    But we can do the same in the 6.0 version
    These are the some of the settings that are differed in the two versions and in that two objects

  • OracleBI Discoverer Version 10.1.2.55.26 hanging

    i have the OracleBI Discoverer Version 10.1.2.55.26 and after enteriing the +Connect To , User name, Password and Database and press Go, it displays the next page  Account Details: Select Responsibility and after press continue button , the white page is displaying for long time.
    Can anybody help me

    Hi
    If this is in a production environment, personally, I would suggest raising an immediate SR with Oracle. That will be the quickest way to get this resolved.
    Short term things to check are whether you are starting the services in the right order and whether the services are up and running.
    It sounds like you have an infrastructure database in place so the right order for starting everything are:
    1. Start the listener for the infrastructure database
    2. Start the infrastructure database
    3. Start the infrastructure tier
    4. Start the database where the Discoverer EUL is located
    5. Start the database where the data resides, if not the same as in step 4
    6. Start the Discoverer middle tier instance
    Steps 4 and 5 can actually be started at any point prior to actually connecting to Discoverer. I just show them in that position as that is where I do it in my instance.
    If the above is right and working make sure that all of the Discoverer services are in fact up and running. You can do this as follows:
    1. At the operating system log in as Oracle user
    2. Go to home directory for middle tier
    3. Go into OPMN/BIN folder
    4. Type opmnctl status and press the Enter button
    What services do you see alive?
    Best wishes

  • Java, Jardiff Version Difference

    HI,
    we are using JAva Web Start to launch our application. in our application, we also have used version based implementarion. it is working fine & only JArdiff is getting returned.
    However, there are some of our JARs which get automatically updated. If somebody from the front end generates the property file, JAR gets updated with required changes in version & jnlp change also. Generation of property files is a frequent thing. So if anybody for long time does not log in, the version of propery JAR on his machine will be much older than the latest version.
    whenever such problem occurs, sometimes JArDiff doesn't wrk properly. It gives the message " missing signed entries" On checking for signing files, we found those files are intact & also get downloaded on client machine But after that JWS stalls giving above message. This problem occurs if the version difference is too much else it does not happen.
    Also, server log shows that JARDiff is returned perfectly. I'm not getting why exactly the problem exixts & why it occurs only at few client machines. Can anybody throw light on this? pls..

    Can you tell us what versions of Java Web Strat and Java are you running ?
    /Dietz

  • Version differences were generated in structure KOMP.

    Our company is going to upgrade ECC 6.0 version.
    So I tried to test in 6.0 test system.
    When I executed in SPDD T-CODE, I compared with prior 4.7 version
    system.
    I found that KOMP strucure is differ from 4.7 system version.
    So errr is generated because version was not same.
    I wish to adjust difference with 4.7 system version .
    Answer me how version differences were not generated.

    Hey,
    I think it was added in 4.6B version.You can do one thing.
    Go to SE11>KOMP table->system->status>Component version->one search icon is there,click that.
    There you can find out whatever modifications are done with the table.
    Shout me again if any other clarification is required.
    And also don't forget to reward points

  • Correct Discoverer version for EBS 11.5.10

    Dear Members :
    Could you please guide me the right Discoverer Version, the link to download from and configuration steps, in order to connect to EBS 11.5.10 (base) running on Linux ?
    I am completely confused looking at so many views and my own failure with ver 4.1.37 (both admin & desktop), login error (same TNS setting I am using with so many applications to connect to database).
    Do I need to check anything on apps server side - do appreciate it very much ?

    Could you please tell me now, which Discoverer Standalone (Admin/Desktop), should I go for ?

    AtanuDisco 4.1 is the version that comes bundled with EBS 11.5.10. It is currently de-supported (http://blogs.oracle.com/stevenChan/2006/04/discoverer_4i_to_be_desupporte.html)
    You can download 4.1.37 Admin/Desktop version from here (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/discoverer/downloads/index-095113.html) and you will have to request Support to provide you the 4.1.48 patch which you will need to apply.

  • Patchset 10.1.2.2 and latest Discoverer version

    Hi all, I have successfully installed Discoverer 10g 10.1.2.0.2 version from the ΟAS_Business_Intelligence_Pack_101202_(HP), but after a couple of days I discovered some bugs like the double '00' for totals and
    On Metalink I found the Note:399843.1 (Upgrading Discoverer 10g (10.1.2.0.x) to Patchset 10.1.2.2) to fix this and other problems.
    So...I have 3 questions:
    1) Which is the latest Discoverer version actually available ? is the 10.1.2.2 ?
    2) with this Patchset, can I upgrade Discoverer 10g to the latest version ?
    3) Instead of installing this patchset, does exist a "business intelligence pack" from the latest Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.x) in order to install the latest Discoverer version ?
    Thanks you all
    Alex

    Hi,
    We had the same issue (discoverer displaying '00' instead of '0') along with couple more issues. We fixed them as below.
    1. Install iAS patch 10.1.2.2 (Disco 10.1.2.54.25) on a development or test server.
    This patch is on Metalink and does not require a password.
    Patch 4960210 Oracle Application Server Products Family: Patchset
    PLACEHOLDER BUG FOR AS/DS 10G R2 PATCH SET 2 10.1.2.2
    2. Open a Service Request (SR) with Oracle Support to request the password for Discoverer Cumulative Patch III:
    Patch 6155500, CUMULATIVE PATCH III: MLR ON TOP OF 10.1.2.2 FOR MLR 6129303 + NEW BUG FIXES
    3. Install patches as described in the patch readme.txt files.
    4. Retest Viewer and workbook identifier to ensure errors no longer occur and workbook identifier is unchanged.
    5. Promote patches to your production environment once bug fix is confirmed.
    Hope this Helps!

  • Sharing my script to show version difference of installed packages

    Hi all.
    Sometimes I don't want to just pacman -Syu. There are many packages that are big but introduce only minor bugfixes (usually libreoffice packages* are the culprits), so I don't want to have to install those.
    This is something I cooked up a while ago to show version difference of currently installed packages with the latest packages in repository.
    It's in python3, and uses python-termcolor.
    It outputs something like this:
    acl : 2.2.52-1 --> 2.2.52-2
    archlinux-keyring : 20130926-1 --> 20131027-1
    bison : 3.0-1 --> 3.0.1-1
    cracklib : 2.9.0-1 --> 2.9.0-2
    Here is the script:
    #!/usr/bin/python3
    from subprocess import check_output
    from termcolor import colored
    pacman_out=check_output(["pacman","-Sl"], universal_newlines=True).split("\n")
    outlist = []
    len_pkgname = 0
    len_majver = 0
    len_newver = 0
    len_oldver = 0
    for pkgs in pacman_out:
    if not "[installed" in pkgs:
    continue
    if "[installed]" in pkgs:
    continue
    pkg_split = pkgs.split(" ")
    newver = pkg_split[2]
    oldver = pkg_split[4].rstrip("]")
    for i in range(min(len(newver),len(oldver))):
    if newver[i] != oldver[i]:
    break
    pkgname = pkg_split[1]
    majver = newver[:i]
    oldver = oldver[i:]
    newver = newver[i:]
    outlist.append((pkgname, majver, newver, oldver))
    len_pkgname = max(len_pkgname, len(pkgname))
    len_majver = max(len_majver, len(majver))
    len_newver = max(len_newver, len(newver))
    len_oldver = max(len_oldver, len(oldver))
    for (pkgname, majver, newver, oldver) in outlist:
    print("{}: {}{} --> {}{}".format(
    pkgname.ljust(len_pkgname),
    colored(majver.rjust(len_majver),"cyan"),
    colored(oldver.ljust(len_oldver),"cyan",attrs=["bold"]),
    colored(majver.rjust(len_majver),"magenta"),
    colored(newver.ljust(len_newver),"magenta",attrs=["bold"])))
    I hope pkgbrowser will include something like this in the future.

    EDIT: swapped new and old version columns. Thanks, karol!

  • Template Cross-Platform - Version Differences

    I created a template in Dreamweaver 8 on a Mac and sent it to

    Is this issue based on OS cross-platform, DW 8 to MX and
    differences in how those versions handle MX or some other issue?

    HTML is HTML, you know? It wouldn't make any difference if
    you were
    creating on a Mac, a PC, or a Linux box.
    But - DMX is a dumb bunny when it comes to any advanced
    layout methods. I
    imagine the problem you are seeing is due to DMX's inability
    to render CSS
    layouts properly. Is your colleague using DMX6.0 or 6.1? If
    the former,
    they should at the least update to the latter immediately,
    although that may
    not fix the problems either.

  • NI VISA Version Differences

    I have a driver for a third party card that was developed by National Instruments. The driver works with LabVIEW 7.0 and NI VISA 3.0. The driver does not appear to work with LabVIEW 7.1 and NI-VISA 3.2. I am trying to ascertain the differences between the two versions of VISA. Can someone please identify these differences or point me in the right direction.

    You can find some information from the "VISA Run-time Engine Version 3.2 for Windows 2000/NT/XP" Readme.txt file:
    http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/C0CDC738994FCBC886256EEB004E9BB3?opendocument
    To save you some time though:
    NI-VISA 3.2 IMPROVEMENTS AND BUG FIXES
    Enabling the NiVisaTulip Passport would cause applications to crash on exit.
    This is fixed.
    For a USB RAW resource, calling viEnableEvent on VI_EVENT_USB_INTR with the
    VI_HNDLR mechanism would cause a crash when the first interrupt arrived.
    This is fixed.
    Added support in MAX for the standard Export and Import wizard. For NI-VISA,
    this allows you to transfer the VISA aliases and driver settings.
    Calling viPrintf on a remote VISA session would return VI_ERROR_IO instead
    of VI_ERROR_RSRC_LOCKED when the remote resource was locked. This is fixed.
    The VISA Interactive Control utility (VISAIC) now displays an error message
    box when viFindRsrc returns an error.
    For a PXI INSTR resource, calling viDisableEvent and then viWaitOnEvent would
    cause a crash. On Windows, the application would exit; on LabVIEW RT (both
    Phar Lap ETS and RTX), the system would need to be rebooted. This is fixed.
    The NI-VISA COM API now supports PXI (INSTR, MEMACC) and USB (INSTR, RAW).
    Right-clicking on a PXI chassis in MAX now provides the option to open a
    VISA session to that PXI BACKPLANE resource.
    Fixed various issues in MAX related to changing the IP address of a remote
    VISA system.
    Calling viParseRsrcEx would in some cases output the resource class using
    the same case you used in the resource string in the input parameter. The
    output parameter should always be uppercase. This is fixed.
    For a Serial INSTR resource, calling viGetAttribute on VI_ATTR_ASRL_WIRE_MODE
    would always output -1 if you hadn't yet set the mode for the given resource.
    Now if you have NI-Serial 1.6 or higher installed with supported hardware,
    it will output the default configured state rather than -1. Otherwise it
    will still output -1. Note that NI-Serial 1.6 does not implement this
    feature on all currently supported NI RS-485 controllers.

  • Certain properties arent beiing set (JDK-Version difference 1.2.1 & 1.3.1)

    Hello alltogether
    I'm extending a software which was once written on the JDK 1.2.1. For my extenstions i choosed to used the JDK 1.3.1. Now that i m done with my part, i remarked that the existing part of the webapplication doesnt run correctly on a server with JDK 1.3.1, and my extensions doesnt run on a server with JDK 1.2.1.
    So what i m gonna do is, i have to make the existing system runnable on JDK 1.3.1, so that the whole system can be run on the server with JDK 1.3.1.
    The problem i have with the existing version, is that the properties arent beeing set.
    An example:
    The request string is:172.16.1.38:8080/SupportSystem/issuelist.jsp?ident=3&command=closed
    issuelist.jsp has uses the bean IssueBean and sets all its properties:
    <jsp:useBean id="issueBean" scope="request" class="ch.msw.support.beans.IssueBean" />
    <jsp:setProperty name="issueBean" property="*" />
    IssueBean's property-setter method for the look like the follows:
    public void setIdent(String newValue) {
      if(newValue != null) {
        try {
          id=Integer.parseInt(newValue);
        } catch (Exception e) {}
    }the command-property and the properties which are part of my enhancements are always beiing set. But the strange thing is that i cant find a difference between the functioning ones and the ones who fail
    My supposition is that the 2 JDK - versions (1.2.1 / 1.3.1) implement different JSP-specifications which are featuring a difference with the property-setter-calling.
    I cant figure how i could solve the problem...
    maybe you can :-)
    Thanks in advance!!!

    What you have should work so I don't have a quick fix, only suggestions on how to track down the problem.
    Presumably you must have recompiled IssueBean to add the new properties, so the java version is irrelevant. Ident is just as much a 1.3.1 property as is command.
    Is the getIdent() method defined correctly? It must be "public String getIdent()" If, say, you are returning an int then the getter/setter pair may not be recognized by jsp:setProperty.
    Try temporarily adding a System.out.println statement to setIdent so you know when it is called. Retest. If it is not called, add an explicit call to your JSP.
    Add code to your JSP to print out all parameters. This will show whether ident is being passed through.
    Good luck.
