Display problem for Solaris 8 on i810 platform

can any 1 tell the name and path of the patch
to correct the display for solaris 8 installed on a x86
platform with i810 mother board.
And also tell me how to install the patch.

In the interim I have downloaded the source and am attempting to create such a beast.
It is slow progress to fix the unexpected script breakage, but it seems to be going OK:
Problems:
1.): Issues like "-mtune=v9" and an "embeded spec" in gcc and cpp (from files
gccfss_src/build/gcc/gccspec.o and gccfss_src/build/gcc/cppspec.o).
2.): Use of OPTTABLE_H = $(srcdir)/config/target-option-table.h with SPARC specific

All these issues occur because the scripts expect "--build=sparc-pc-solaris2.11" but
I configured using "--build=i386-pc-solaris2.11" . It seems like it is going to work
but I am yet to finish stage1 of the build (I do have a working "xgcc").

Me23n Print preview display problem for specific o/p type

Hello gurus,
A small problem..
I have modified the Smartform for a specific o/p type in PO and the moved to PRD
when seeing the Print preview in me23n the Smartform is not being displayed in PRD....
all other setting in ->messages, further data in me22n are same as for other o/p types..
The poblem is only for this o/p type POs all other o/p types the print-preview is displaying the form..
suggestions required...

go to the customizing release request .
there is a ur updated nace release request number.
expand that request number .
see there is an another request number.
again expand it.
check whether there is a view cluster maintenance data or not?
if it is present.
expand it there u see the cluster table.
else.
u mistaked in nace transport.

Is it possible to use CC 5.7 to compile for Solaris 6/7 platforms?

we are currently upgrading to the new CC 5.7 from CC5.2 (Forte Update 1). One advantage we notice is the new, simplified licensing scheme, and hence the possibility to get rid of the license server installations. However, we still have to support our product on Solaris 7 (and possibly, though unlikely, Solaris 6).
Because CC 5.7 only installs on Solaris 8, the question is whether it would be possible to cross-compile for those older platforms (e.g. via -xarch). (And use our Solaris 7 installations only for testing, not compile-purposes anymore.)

Programs built on Solaris 8 usually will not run on Solaris 2.6 or 7, no matter what compiler you use. Sun Studio 9 (C++ 5.7) supports only Solaris 8, 9, and 10.
You need to build your applications on the lowest version of Solaris that they are intended to be run on. Maybe you could build on Solaris 7 using FD6u1, and again on Solaris 8 using Studio 10 for customers using Solaris 8 and later.

Laptop display problems for 4510s

Busted my display over a week ago and was using a hdmi cable to the tv for display. Once it went into sleep mode the display no longer worked. Switched to external monitor with vga cable and that worked for a few days until it went into sleep mode. Now the only display the monitor shows is my background image. Powered off, pulled battery but nothing. The computer seems to boot fine and get to the login screen from the sounds it puts off but I cannot get it to display anything. Plz help.

Solaris 9 x86 platform update 4 8/03 can not start Management Console

smc& but cannot start management console 2.1
no problem on solaris 8 x86 platform.
Error as below :
I cannot start the Solaris Management Console in Solaris 9. The splash screen appears for a few seconds, then nothing else, core dumped.
There is a error: "Assertion Fail: Offset < fFileSize ............../../../src....
Any ideas ??????

Does Jit for Solaris works for linux?

Can i used JIT for Solaris under Linux platform? what are the implications and any problems that i can encounter. I need to know abt what kinda problems that could be encountered since the project will be used as a prototype for the main project.
OR is there a JIT for linux supported by SUN? i think i saw a link somewhere in java.sun.com that gave me the option of downloading JIT for linux but it said "Sun doesn't support it" beside it, so i didnt download it

we are using Linux 7.2 and Java 1.4OK, then you're using the HotSpot virtual machine.
How do I explain this as simply as possible? HotSpot has a "built-in JIT", in that it does not interpret the byte codes directly, but does so after translating snippets of byte code into native code. I.e. the VM IS the JIT.
There's no separate JIT you can use to "speed up HotSpot". And anyway, a JIT doesn't "compile" the code in any permanent way - it has to do the translation statically each time the program is loaded.
However, you do have a point - there have been several reports of a slowdown between JDK 1.3.1 and 1.4.0. 1.4.1 hasn't improved much. I'm waiting for 1.4.2.
Things you can try in the meantime:
* Download the full JDK, and use the "java -server" option to use the server VM. If you're running a server-type application (i.e. not a GUI), this might improve things.
* Profile the application using any of the available Java profiling tools (do a Google search - there are free and commercial profilers).
There are a thousand possible reasons why your application is slow - anything from excessive memory allocation to excessive locking to poorly chosen algorithms. A profiler may help you narrow things down a little.

Color display problem...

Hello everyone, i've got a little display problem for one month approximatively on my powerbook G4 : i can see little stripes in colors ranges... For an example, on the page dedicated to the sneak peak of Leopard, the big "X" has a range from black to grey, well, what i see on my screen is the same thing that you, but with stripes of a different color : the range isn't linear...
I have check my monitor preferences, the resolution is good and the colors ar selected to "millions"... The colorimetric profile is good too... So i can't see where does this problem could come from...?
I even try to solve the problem reinstalling the system, but il still here...
It's hard to explain online, but i hope you can see what i mean and you'll be able to help me.

Installation issue with Weblogic610sp1_sol.bin for solaris platform?

I have downloaded weblogic610sp1_sol.bin file for solaris platform and when i try to install, its is preparing to install & executing the file but suddenly throws an error saying
" error: can't find libjava.so."
Even i tried with other versions of weblogic also...
But same problem.....
I have installed jdk1.3.1 for solaris. I am able to install other java related programs & it is running successfully.
Any idea...

Can you verify that the size of the file you downloaded is 90,941,843? Also post the checksum of the file. What version of Solaris are you installing on? Most folks having this problem
have a corrupted bin file.

I am getting an error encountered problem with the display driver for my Photoshop CS5 extended

I have Windows 7 and have used CS5 extended with no problems for quite a while now.
Last week I started up CS5 and received the error:
"Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver and has temporarily disabled GPU enhancements. Check the video card manufacturers website for the latest software. GPU enhancements can be enabled in the Performance panel of Preferences."
"Please close program and uninstall and re-install if problem persists"
I was able to edit, however when I went to save my work it would not do so. The following error came up.
"Could not complete the command because the extension could not be loaded"
"Could not save a copy as .....because of a program error"
I checked to make sure I have the latest driver, I also uninstalled and re-installed the program and I am still getting the errors.
Can anyone help with this?

i am using hp pavilion 15-e015tx running window 8 i had complained on 18 oct 2014 regarding the display problem. my case id is 4739018980. till now the issuse is not solved. the engineer came , checked the laptop and said quotation will be send within few days and tookaway his service charges Rs.1400. Still waiting for the quotation .every time i call in hp support service they tell they will send quotation the same day but there is no response. pls send the quotatiom as soon as possible. i am feedup calling hp support care now.

what could be the problem?The installer is actually a self-extracting Zip-archive. It tries to unpack
itself into /var/tmp/something-random, before starting the actual
installation.
If you do not have enough free space in /var/tmp, try creating a temporary
directory somewhere else, move the installer into the new directory, and do
an 'unzip server70..............bin'. Once you have unzipped the installer,
I think you can look in a file called AUTORUN or something for the java
command to run the installer manually.

Iam using struts and hibernate, am inserting values into database successfully. But am facing some problem for displaying values in VIEW page.. Am maintainig Session in action servlet..In jsp page only first row displayed numbertimes(depends on number rows in DB) ex i have 4 rows different values. But in View page only first row displayed 4 times. How can i displyed properly .plz help me its urgent?
