Display Server Status via Web

Hi,I'd like to display on a web page the status of the Essbase server. "Server is Available" Ideally, a connection would be made to Essbase, and then dropped. If the connection fails, the massage will reflect that. If there's a way to also send an e-mail notifcation if the connection fails, that would be perfect! Any suggestions or comments on how or if this can be done would be greatly appreciated! Oh, the Essbase server is UNIX (Solaris) .The web server is NT (2000). Thanks!

Olapunderground is working on a new server monitor that would provide this an more in a windows client or web browser. It will not do the email piece and will be out some time in july...

    I have a CMC portal on which I can see the status of the BO services (Enabled/Disabled). The authentication is done from our SAP BW server and the CMC portal is on SSO with the BW server. Similarly I have a web portal where I want to display the Services Status (Enabled/Disabled) of the BOXI(3.1) enterprise. Is it possible to achieve the same using SDK?

    You can get this from IServer.getCurrentDisabledState() which will return a boolean.

  • Display a photo via web dynpro (jpg files)

    Hi
    I have photo's of employees which I would like to display via my Web dynpro (it is jpg files).  I was able to do it using an Interactive form element, but then I cannot resize the photo; it is to big.  I was hoping to display it via an Image element, but then I only see the icon, but not my photo.
    Could someone please assist me in helping to display my photo better?

    can you explain what do you mean by HTML string? is it binary data that you have?
    if it is a binary data i.e. in bytes then you can do this way also..

    thats where you are going to check what it is supposed to be.
    lets say your page shows as SSOL Status : running  you
    probably want to use "if($totalstrng.ToLower().contains("ssqlL status
    : running"))". its
    checking if the html page contains the string you are looking for.
    you might want to print $totalstrng
    and see what you need to look for.
    usign XMLHttp
    or XML object  as mentioned by JRV might be easier and faster way.

  • Web-browser only display Summary Status and no menu for configing

    Guys,
    I have 4 Cisco Aironet 1140. I open a web browser IE 8 and type their address "http://<ip address>". Then I enter my username and password in the browser and successfully login to the access point.
    But, There is something strange, why I only see Summary status of my access point after the login process success??? I can't config anything...
    I add a new username and use highest privilage, but the result still the same. Same unusual web display, only displaying summary status of the access point, I can't config ssid, vlan, etc.
    Here's my configuration:
    username Zicco privilege 15 password 7 123A551A02055F106B
    username Bl4st privilege 15 secret 5 $1$UJom$UoNBR07HmSGXdoxTUR1W40
    ip http server

    Hi George, today we solved the problem. With adding this command: "config(terminal)#ip http authentication local" all of 5 access points now able to managed via web browser.
    Sometimes, we can use access point's web browser without adding this command. But in my cases, only using command of"ip http server" isn't enough. You must add "ip http authentication local" command to your configuration. I dont know why.
    And we must have at least one: username <username> privil 15 pass <password> that is full privileged user to use as username and password logon in your access point browser. Otherwise we can't logon to our access point.

    when managed server startup,status ok,but after some days,managed server status is unknown or shutdown in console web
    I check process "ps -ef|grep java" managed server process exit
    and application on managed server is ok

    Status unknown means that node manager can't establish contact with the mgd server. If your server is dropping out of the cluster, that would result in Unknown.
    Your server could be dropping out of the cluster for many, many reasons. If it is always the same server dropping out, that points to a particular node in your cluster.

  • Executing a Job via Web Services using a Server Group?

    When executing a job from Designer or from the Management Console you have the option to select a specific job server or a server group.
    But when executing a job via Web Services it uses the first job server with which the repository was associated (i.e. the first job server listed in AL_MACHINE_INFO).
    Is there a way to get the job to execute using a server group instead simply choosing the first job server in the list?
    Note: We are using FIM to execute the jobs via web services and don't have access to additional parameters.

    Here is the where you can change the server group/job server.
    - After you add the Batch/real Time job as a webservice.
    - Go to the Webservice Batch Job Attribute and from the drop down choose the "Enable job Attributes" and hit apply.
    - After this if you use the WSDL URL http://<Data Services Web Server>:<Web server Port>/DataServices/servlet/webservices?ver=2.0&wsdlxml
    - You will see the job attributes that you can change based on the allowed parameters mentioned in the documentation.
    The batch job or real time job is published without the job parameters by default. Once you enable the job attributes, remove and re publish the batch job as a web service. The application making the call to this webservice should be able to read the WSDL generated by Data services and pickup all the input and output parameters of the method.
    Refer to the Data Services Integrator guide (Chapter 3 : pages 25 - 33 ) to get the exact parameter values permitted via Data Services jobs called via web services.

  • Connecting to exchange server via web interface?

    Employer's exchange server has IMAP disabled and IT will not consider adding activesync for iPhone 2.0. Using the web interface via Safari is way too hard on an iPhone to be practical except in emergencies.
    Question: The new version of Entourage allows for retrieval and sync through a connection to the exchange web interface. It behaves just like it's connected directly to the exchange server, but is hitting exchange's web server.
    Is there anything like this for iPhone? Any way to retrieve mail into the native mail application (rather than web app) by polling the exchange web server?

    A few things. Neither will give you the functionality you seem to be after.
    1) Use Exchange OMA service (text based view via web) very quick compared to the full image web based application. Has read/write functionality but you are not going to want to write an email via this.
    2) Outlook 2007 supports http: access. You could use that to pull the data from your work account to say a home PC and sync your iPhone (albeit once a day).
    3) Ask them to install iTunes 7.7 on your work PC so you can sync (I think I know how this would go down in a company )

  • File Dialog's using Remote Panels (via web server)

    I am aware that the web server remote panel access will not allow us to open a file dialog box on a remote computer.  I have read people comment that you should create your own file dialog box, using LabVIEW to use instead of the file dialog box.
    Has anyone actually done this?  I would like know if anybody has source code for this, rather than re-inventing the wheel.  Also, will the sub-vi actually just appear on the webserver? i.e. will it actually work?

    I have a program that I run on an industrial PC, with no keyboard, video or mouse.  We currently control the application using the web server.  We have a button to load and a button to save settings.  If the files are missing for the load & save, it pops up a file open dialog to choose the file to import.  However, while we are viewing the page this way, these dialog boxes do not work.
    I would like to know if anyone has made up a file dialog box that I could use, that would display correctly in the web server's remote control.

    i've fixed.
    However i got this problem with zend core 1.31 windows / oracle xe / apache:
    1 - I've removed the old one and apache 2 (last version) 2.058.
    2 - Then i've searched all the registry key (apache / zend related) and erased them.
    3 - Last step: installed zend core 1.4 (with the bundled version of the apache 2).
    It works.
    Note: for me you have always to delete all the apache group previous installation as well as the zend directory.
    These directory are not deleted automatically by uninstall process.

    When i try with https://lyncfrontend.domain.local:4443 and https://lyncfrontend.domain.com:4443 both opens but when i open the external domain name i get certificate .

    In proxy server had setup only following server farm : While running remote connectivity web service test : meet, dialin, lyncdiscover and lyncweb.
    The client inside works fine internally and through vpn. Login with external client also working fine. But we are getting error in MRCA as follows.
    a) While testing remote connectivity for lync getting error : The certificate couldn't be validated because SSL negotiation wasn't successful. This could have occurred as a result of a network error or because of a problem with the certificate installation.
    Certificate was installed properly.
    b) For remote web test under Lync throws error : A Web exception occurred because an HTTP 502 - BadGateway response was received from IIS7.

  • Display Status on Web Application

    Hi Guys,
    Does any one have any idea of how to display Data status on the web application.
    In BEx (Excel) you get it when you go to Layout and select Display text element and then select All. I am trying to do the same on the Web application.
    I have gone through all the properties of the web template but i don't see any option saying that we can display data status and all those information on the web.Please let me know if any one of you have any idea about how it could be done

    I don't understand what exactly you are trying to say can you be more specific.
    What i want is to display, when was the data last loaded to the infoprovider and name of the infoprovider and what query am i being used .. those kind of information.

  • Can't access folder on a TC drive via web server

    Here's the setup:
    I got a MBA (10.6) as a simple web server sharing files to a remote computer via VPN. For this, I created a symbolic link to the folders I want to share and dropped it into the root user's library/webserver/documents.
    The remote client accesses the folders via web browser with the internal IP (192.168.xxx.xxx/"folder") of the host (I know, there are fancier ways to do this, but that's how I've been doing it so far).
    Now, I wanted to relocate some of the folders to my TC drive. I did so, however I got an error message saying 'Forbidden, You don't have permission to access xxx on this server'. I tried to change the access permissions of the folders in question on the TC, but no avail.
    I couldn't reach them from the local net either.
    Anyone here, who knows how to solve this problem? Put it another way, is it even possible to access the TC that way?

    Thanks for the answer, but it was not the solution I have been looking for.
    I found a provisional workaround installing MAMP. Dropping the symlink folder in htdocs did the job. However, I'd be glad, if someone out there knew how to do this on the native OS X Apache, since running an additional server is pretty bothersome.
